[摘要] 伽达默尔《真理与》标题中的“真理”是精神中的真理，是文本意义的自身显现，“方法”是精神科学中的方法，是解释者与文本的对话。对话是语言的典型存在方式，是语言的本质。通过语言揭示真理，与通过对话揭示真理，对于伽达默尔来说是一回事。翻译作为解释学对话，是一个特别艰难地取得相互了解的过程；作为实践对话，是两种世界观的融合，是人类走向“交谈共同体”的必由之路。翻译的真理性依赖于翻译的条件性，翻译的条件性又导致了翻译的不确定性。不确定性并不必然意味着相对主义。伽达默尔的解释学是不是相对主义以及是何种相对主义，在某种程度上取决于我们如何理解这个概念。我们这样做的时候，又陷入了伽达默尔所描述的解释学境遇之中。[关键词] 伽达默尔翻译对话真理相对主义如果我们用两个字来概括伽达默尔的翻译哲学观，那就是“对话”。是译者与文本的对话，而不是译者与作者的对话。文本的意义超越了作者，它并不是作者意图的再现。我们无法面对作者，只能面对文本。“在对某一文本进行翻译的时候，不管翻译如何力图进入原作者的思想感情或是设身处地把自己想象为原作者，翻译都不可能纯粹是作者原始心理过程的重新唤起，而是对文本的再创造，而这种再创造乃受到对文本的理解所指导，这一点是完全清楚
的。”[1]对母语文本的阅读、理解、解释同样也是对话，但惟有对外语文本的阅读、理解、解释（它们都是翻译）才更好地体现了对话的性质。作为解释学对话，翻译是一个特别艰难地取得相互了解的过程；作为实践哲学对话，翻译是两种世界观的融合，是人类走向“交谈共同体”的必由之路。
