That is until I put on my curly rainbow wig, big red nose, and add my name badge “Doctor Larry LaughOutLoud”. I walk through the doors into the waiting area, where there’s a familiar atmosphere of boredom and tension. (非限)People sit unfortably on plastic chairs, look ing through old magazines, all of which have been read hundreds of times previously. Anxious parents do what they can to fort nervous and crying children.In the middle of this particular scene I spot a small girl whose ankle is twice its normal size. I speak with the onduty nurse, who tells me that Lara’s parents rushed her to the hospital after she fell off her bicycle. Since getting here, Lara has spent her time crying in pain. Although it’s the doctors and nurses who will treat her injury, it’s my job to make her feel better.Scientific studies show that laughter produces chemicals to make people feel better, which means clown doctors can be helpful. (非限)We are specially trained clowns who work as part of a programme known as “hospital clowning”. I chose this career because of my experience of going to hospital when I was a kid. Although the doctors and nurses did a great job, hospitals weren’t really designed for children. (让步状从)I spent much of the time when I was there feeling frightened and more than little bored! Being a clown doctor means I can help people by entertaining them.Visiting hospitals and other health care facilities, we clown doctors work together with medical professionals. On a typical day, we spend our time cheer ing up patients, their families, and more often than not, the hospital staff, too! We do this by doing magic tricks, singing songs, telling stories and, of course,tell ing silly jokes. Some children, though, don’t feel like laughing, especially if they’re in pain. We have to be very sensitive and work closely with the doctors and nurses, who keep us updated on each patient.And my magic medicine does indeed seem to do the trick. While the doctor concentrate s on examining Lara’s ankle, I get her attention by doing a magic trick. Although she is clearly still in some pain, her scared and anxious look has been replaced—first by a small smile, and then by loud laughter as I “magically” produce her sock from out of my pocket. Seeing their daughter so much happier has i n turn made Lara’s parents more relaxed.And as for me? Well, when I take off my wig and my red nose, I’m still wearing a big smile, as I remember all the fun and laughter of the day. 影响高考英语写作得分的几个因素:1.语篇信息是否完整。

2.行文是否连贯流畅,语言是否得体。

3.是否使用高级词汇。

4.是否使用复杂句。

5.卷面整洁,书写公整。

探究案英语写作技巧点拨:一.语言符号规则的准确1. 结构完整的句子,不论长短,后面都用句号。

2. 不要用逗号连接两个并列句;应用逗号加连词,或用分号。

3. 把逗号和句号分清:逗号带个小尾巴(,)句号是个黑圆点(.),不是一个圆圈(。

)4. 在疑问句后用问号,但在改为间接引语的问句后不用问号:The teacher asked whether we had done our exercises.5. 感叹句只用在需要强调的感叹句或表示强烈感情的词语后面。

不要用得太多。

6. 直接引语应放在两个引号之间。

说话人和表示"说"的动词可放在引语前面、后面或中间:班级:小组:姓名:评价:She said, "We have decided to take the examination.""We have decided to take the examination," she said."We have decided, "she said, "to take the examination."注意上面三个句子的标点符号用法。

第一句中的She said后面用逗号;第二句的引语后用逗号,she是小写;第三句在decided和she said后面都用逗号,而且引语的第二部分也用小写字母开始。

二.文体格式和语域使用的准确 .1. 标点。

在一行的开端不可用逗号、句号、分号、冒号、问号或感叹号,这些标点符号如果需要的话,应放在一行的末尾。
