有声英语散文,英语听力篇一:有声读物让高中英语学习〝声〞动起来有声读物让高中英语学习〝声〞动起来浙江省江山中学霍延坤地址:浙江省江山市凝秀中路2号邮编:3241_ 电话:_735_6_0【摘要】本文立足高中英语新课程改革,从课程资源开发的角度,论述如何在高中英语学习中融入有声读物的材料,从而达到在激发学生的学习兴趣的同时使学生接触更丰富的语言材料,以此提高学生英语能力.【关键词】有声读物;听力训练;口语训练;课程资源一. 引言英语新课程的特色之一是如何有效地开发和利用课程资源.根据课程标准:〝英语教学的特点之一是要使学生尽可能多地从不同渠道.以不同形式接触和学习英语,亲身感受和直接体验语言及语言运用.因此,在英语教学中,除了合理有效地使用教科书以外,还应该积极利用其它课程资源,特别是广播影视节目.录音.录像资料.直观教具和实物.多媒体光盘资料.各种形式的网络资源.报刊杂志等〞（教育部, _）.所以,在新课程标准的指引下,英语教师纷纷采用不同的形式丰富英语课程资源,而英文流行歌曲,影视节目,新闻材料,VOA音频等形式更是被频繁的使用.这些形式的课程资源在一定程度上增强了学生的兴趣,同时又给学生提供了地道的语言环境,对学生的英语水平是有一定的提高作用的.但这些媒体资源中的语言和语速对大部分高中学生会造成很大的理解上的障碍,所以对提高学生的英语能力的作用是很有限的.英语有声读物的特点是既有能够直接阅读的文字材料,又能通过电视.mp3和收音机等媒体收听或收看到阅读材料的录音或者是对阅读材料的讲解.这类的英语有声读物有很多,常见的有>（以下简称>）;>（以下简称>）;>;书虫系列读物等等.这些有声读物的素材涉及社会.人文.生活和学习的方方面面.期中有很多内容与高中英语课本中的话题密切相关.随着互联网的发展和普及,我们可以较容易使用和下载这些材料的音频或视频,再将其与纸质书籍或杂志相结合,将会极大的提高学生学习英语的兴趣和发挥他们在语言学习方面的潜能.若教师能将有声读物的使用和日常教学有机结合起来,将会在很大程度上丰富教学方法及课堂内容,形成一个多样化.互动化的课堂氛围,从而提高学生的英语听说读写能力.二.使用有声读物辅助英语学习的优点1. 激发学生兴趣,补充课堂教学如>,每天的学习内容为一篇_多字的文章.每篇文章都是由美国作者根据内容要求专门撰写的,并在书后编有精彩的中文译文,同时又将杂志内容制作成每天23分钟左右的多媒体教学节目,这些节目可以在电视.广播和互联网上上播放.>的电视节目为学生们喜爱的谈话类节目,由多名主持人就当天对应的文章进行讲解,其中穿插有幽默短剧.Gramma On The Go, Word Bank.Key Point等形式多样的小栏目.>不同于一般教材之处在于他的内容从最新的科技到人们生活的是非小事涉及方方面面,且内容板块设置较为固定,每个月的文章内容都分作:Travel, Psychology, Health, Business, Science, History, Historical person, Language, Technology, Profile, Sports, Viewpoints,History.比如最近一期的>杂志的主题就包括了:对抗艾滋病.趣味英语.图坦卡门王之墓.雪地赛车攻略.张家界风光和当下正红的NBA华裔球星林书豪.内容可谓丰富多彩,对学生们有极大的吸引力.又如>,此材料有专门针对高中生英语水平而编排的中学生版,内容丰富多彩,不仅每期都会推荐当下流行的电影和欧美流行音乐,而且还设置了无忧升学栏目,其中有名师和专家对高中生英语方面遇到的问题进行精彩的解答.还有〝美丽英文〞专栏,为学生介绍名家经典并体会人生百味.〝青春话题〞专栏帮助同学们解决成长之惑.〝探索之旅〞栏目在满足高中生好奇心的同时学习趣味科学.此杂志教学内容可以在相关网站下载免费MP3有声文件.因此,将优秀的英语有声读物与英语教学相结合能在很大程度上激发学生的英语学习兴趣,并且弥补传统教学的不足.2. 纠正学生发音,丰富学生词汇教育部于_年_月出版了新的修订版>.在对高中学生英语教学目标和要求中明确规定〝能听懂对方在学生所学过的语言范围内,用略慢的速度读有关的日常生活,能听懂电教,广播及其他音像制品中与本学段水平和相当的语言材料,语速在每分钟1_——_0个词〞.在日常的教学过程中和平时的测验中,我发现大部分学生的阅读能力要强于听力能力,平时认识的词汇在听的过程中往往听不出来,或者一段阅读起来没有难度的文章或句子在听的过程中就只能听出来零星的几个单词而无法理解整个句子.英国语言学家L.G.Ale_ander在>的前言中明确指出〝Nothing should be spoken before it has been heard. What English words have become part of the Chinese language? 在上课时正式播放教学节目,要求学生们对节目中重点内容做一些笔记,在老师领读文章时,要求学生们出声跟读,并且注意模仿老师的语音语调.在节目播放结束后,老师针对文中的重点词汇和短语做一个总结,以使学生巩固所学到的内容.布置课后思考任务:What Chinese words are originated from English?.作为第二天上课时的课前口语练习主题.3. 阶段检测既然将英语有声读物作为一种英语教学的辅助手段,我们就不能使其流于形式,而要将教学与检测相结合,借助检测来观察和巩固学生的英语综合水平.我个人主要采取以下方式进行检验:单词听写.将一周内学生所学的重点词汇和短语进行整理,定期以听写的形式考察学生掌握的情况课前演讲.在每天上课之前留出固定时间（5分钟左右）,随意抽查两名学生对前一篇文章的朗读情况.演讲比赛.定期在班级内举行英语演讲比赛,采取学生自愿报名原则,由班级学生自发成立的评委组为每次的参赛选手打分.参赛内容可从当月教学内容中选择.四.利用英语有声读物作为教学辅助材料的实践及结果通过两年的实践与探索,学生对这种新颖的教学方式非常的喜欢.在我所任教的两个班级中,我曾经选用一个班作为这种方法的实验班,高一时两个班级的英语水平可谓旗鼓相当,到高二上学期,实验班的学生课堂气氛明显要积极和活跃很多,而另外一个班的学生明显缺乏热情,课堂也显得比较沉闷.从对学生英语学习态度问卷调查的情况来看,实验班的学生认为对英语很有兴趣的占98%,而非实验班仅为79%.而且,最大的差距表现在两个班的成绩上.在高二上学期的期末考试中,实验班的英语平均成绩为1_.6,而非实验班的平均成绩为98.5.差距已经拉开到5分左右.在这次考试之后,我又针对实验班进行了一次问卷调查.本次调查的班级人数为49人,调查结果见下表:关于学习〝英语有声读物〞的调查制表人—霍延坤请在您认为符合您的意见的相应项目下打〝√〞.如果有不同意见,请填在〝其它看法〞.如果您有没包含在本表格条目内的意见,请写在表格的下面.谢谢!。

24. Mother HolleThere was once a widow who had two daughters -- one of whom was pretty and industrious, whilst the other was ugly and idle. But she was much fonder of the ugly and idle one, because she was her own daughter; and the other, who was a step-daughter, was obliged to do all the work, and be the Cinderella of the house. Every day the poor girl had to sit by a well, in the highway, and spin and spin till her fingers bled.Now it happened that one day the shuttle was marked with her blood, so she dipped it in the well, to wash the mark off; but it dropped out of her hand and fell to the bottom. She began to weep, and ran to her step-mother and told her of the mishap. But she scolded her sharply, and was so merciless as to say, "Since you have let the shuttle fall in, you must fetch it out again."So the girl went back to the well, and did not know what to do; and in the sorrow of her heart she jumped into the well to get the shuttle. She lost her senses; and when she awoke and came to herself again, she was in a lovely meadow where the sun was shining and many thousands of flowers were growing. Along this meadow she went, and at last came to a baker's oven full of bread, and the bread cried out, "Oh, take me out! take me out! or I shall burn; I have been baked a long time!" So she went up to it, and took out all the loaves one after another with the bread-shovel. After that she went on till she came to a tree covered with apples, which called out to her, "Oh, shake me! shake me! we apples are all ripe!" So she shook the tree till the apples fell like rain, and went on shaking till they were all down, and when she had gathered them into a heap, she went on her way.At last she came to a little house, out of which an old woman peeped; but she had such large teeth that the girl was frightened, and was about to run away.But the old woman called out to her, "What are you afraid of, dear child? Stay with me; if you will do all the work in the house properly, you shall be the better for it. Only you must take care to make my bed well, and shake it thoroughly till the feathers fly -- for then there is snow on the earth. I am Mother Holle.As the old woman spoke so kindly to her, the girl took courage and agreed to enter her service. She attended to everything to the satisfaction of her mistress, and always shook her bed so vigorously that the feathers flew about like snow-flakes. So she had a pleasant life with her; never an angry word; and boiled or roast meat every day.She stayed some time with Mother Holle, and then she became sad. At first she did not know what was the matter with her, but found at length that it was home-sickness: although she was many thousand times better off here than at home, still she had a longing to be there. At last she said to the old woman, "I have a longing for home; and however well off I am down here, I cannot stay any longer; I must go up again to my own people." Mother Holle said, "I am pleased that you long for your home again,and as you have served me so truly, I myself will take you up again." Thereupon she took her by the hand, and led her to a large door. The door was opened, and just as the maiden was standing beneath the doorway, a heavy shower of golden rain fell, and all the gold remained sticking to her, so that she was completely covered over with it."You shall have that because you have been so industrious," said Mother Holle, and at the same time she gave her back the shuttle which she had let fall into the well. Thereupon the door closed, and the maiden found herself up above upon the earth, not far from her mother's house.And as she went into the yard the cock was standing by the well-side, and cried --"Cock-a-doodle-doo!Your golden girl's come back to you!"So she went in to her mother, and as she arrived thus covered with gold, she was well received, both by her and her sister.The girl told all that had happened to her; and as soon as the mother heard how she had come by so much wealth, she was very anxious to obtain the same good luck for the ugly and lazy daughter. She had to seat herself by the well and spin; and in order that her shuttle might be stained with blood, she stuck her hand into a thorn bush and pricked her finger. Then she threw her shuttle into the well, and jumped in after it.She came, like the other, to the beautiful meadow and walked along the very same path. When she got to the oven the bread again cried, "Oh, take me out! take me out! or I shall burn; I have been baked a long time!" But the lazy thing answered, "As if I had any wish to make myself dirty?" and on she went. Soon she came to the apple-tree, which cried, "Oh, shake me! shake me! we apples are all ripe!" But she answered, "I like that! one of you might fall on my head," and so went on.When she came to Mother Holle's house she was not afraid, for she had already heard of her big teeth, and she hired herself to her immediately.The first day she forced herself to work diligently, and obeyed Mother Holle when she told her to do anything, for she was thinking of all the gold that she would give her. But on the second day she began to be lazy, and on the third day still more so, and then she would not get up in the morning at all. Neither did she make Mother Holle's bed as she ought, and did not shake it so as to make the feathers fly up. Mother Holle was soon tired of this, and gave her notice to leave. The lazy girl was willing enough to go, and thought that now the golden rain would come. Mother Holle led her also to the great door; but while she was standing beneath it, instead of the gold a big kettleful of pitch was emptied over her. "That is the reward for your service," said Mother Holle, and shut the door.So the lazy girl went home; but she was quite covered with pitch, and the cock by the well-side, as soon as he saw her, cried out --"Cock-a-doodle-doo!Your pitchy girl's come back to you!"But the pitch stuck fast to her, and could not be got off as long as she lived.。
