1 express 表达;表示

express为及物动词,其后可接名词、wh-从句作宾语。express sth. to sb. 对某人表达……(1)express可接反身代词作宾语,表达自己的意思、思想、感情等。

(2)expession名词,意为"表达;表情;表达方式"。

2 receive 接待;收到

receive及物动词,其后可接名词或代词作宾语。

receive a letter from sb. = get a letter from sb.= hear from sb. 意为"收到某人的来信"。

3 People like to go to this place especially in June as they want to see the sun rising on the longest day of the year. 人们尤其喜欢在六月份去这个地方,因为他们想在这里观看一年中白昼最长的一天的日出。

as此处用作连词,意为"由于;因为",引导原因状语从句。

为了完成这些目标,我是这样设计流程的:

(一)复习。让学生看着约翰的日程表,老师提问,学生回答。

For example: T: Class! When is Sally’s birthday party? Ss: It’s on October 5th. T:When is the school trip? Ss: It’s on September 26th. 让学生集体回答,通过这种方式回顾上一节课的所学内容。

(二)练习2a。让学生在学校经常组织的活动后打勾,问学生能否熟练说出这些活动。让学生自己练习朗读,然后找几名学生朗读一遍。老师纠正其发音错误并领读两遍。

(三)导入。老师问学生喜欢哪些学校活动,让学生列举。然后问学生能否给这些活动安排恰当的时间,制作一份活动日程表,然后过渡到2b部分。For example: T: Class! What activities do you like in school? S1: I like school trips. S2: I like basketball games. S3:I like art festival. ....... T: Class! Can you set proper time for these activities? Then make a calendar for these activities. Then let the students work in pairs or groups to make the calendar.
