Even when we play games like tag at recess, sports help bring students together in a fun, active way.However, the most important reason I play sports is to stay healthy, energized, and fit. Our bodies are made to move around and be active, not sit still like we have to at school. Sports provide me with plenty of exercise that strengthens my muscles and cardiovascular system. They help keep my weight under control and reduce my chances of becoming overweight or obese. By running, jumping, throwing, and moving constantly, Iburn a lot of calories which is great for my health now and in the future.Playing sports isn't just about exercising though - it also teaches me so many valuable life skills. Through the ups and downs of practices and games, I've become mentally tougher, more resilient, and better at dealing with both victory and defeat. I've learned to accept constructive criticism from coaches, motivate myself to work hard, and never give up even when I'm struggling.
