高三学生举办十八岁成人礼英语作文

高三学生举办十八岁成人礼英语作文全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Big Kids' Super Special Adult PartyLast weekend was really exciting because the big kids at my school had a huge party! It was a celebration for all the seniors who are turning 18 this year. In my country, when you turn 18 years old that means you are officially an adult. So the party was like a coming-of-age celebration, but we call it an "Adult Ceremony."I don't really know too many of the seniors, since they are so much older than me. But I see them around school sometimes and they seem really cool. The girls have beautiful long hair and the boys are super tall. I can't wait until I'm older and get to be a senior too!Anyway, a bunch of the seniors' families and our teachers helped decorate the school gym for the party. It looked amazing! There were colorful streamers and balloons everywhere. They set up a stage at one end with a podium and microphone. Lining the walls were tables covered with white cloths and displays showingphotos of each senior when they were little kids. It was so adorable to see their baby pictures! All the seniors had to dress up really fancy, like they were going to a wedding. The boys wore suits and ties and the girls had on beautiful dresses. They all looked so grown-up and sophisticated! The party started with all the seniors walking down an aisle in the middle of the gym in a processional line. The audience, which was parents, relatives, teachers and underclassmen like me, clapped for them as they went up on the stage. Then there were some speeches by the principal and a few students about what it means to become an adult. After that, each senior went up one-by-one to the podium and gave a little speech about their hopes and dreams for the future. Some got really emotional and cried happy tears. Others were funny and made jokes about their childhood nicknames. But they all talked about feeling grateful to their families and teachers for helping them get to this point. The best part was when the seniors all took an "Adult Pledge" to promise to be good citizens and use their education to make the world a better place. I could tell it was a very meaningful moment for them. When all the official ceremony stuff was done, it turned into a big party! There was music, dancing, food and games. The seniors got to go around to each of the photo displays and collect messages from guests in special memory books. I wrote in a bunch of them telling the seniors they were all so cool and brave. Some siblings of the seniors put together an embarrassing video montage of them as babies and little kids doing silly things like crying about dropping their ice cream or picking their noses. Everyone was laughing so hard! I felt bad for the seniors but it was all just good fun.Near the end of the party, the seniors all gathered at the front of the gym and switched out of their fancy clothes into matching T-shirts that said "Class of 20XX" on them. Then they threw their caps in the air like a graduation celebration. Everyone was cheering and some people had tears in their eyes because we all knew the seniors would be leaving us after this semester.I had such an awesome time at the senior Adult Ceremony! When I'm finally an 18-year-old senior myself in about ten years, I'm definitely going to make my ceremony just as fun. I'll get to dress up, give a speech, take an Adult Pledge, get embarrassed by my family, and celebrate becoming a grown-up with all myfriends. It's going to be the best day! But until then, I've still got a lot of school左and growing up to do!篇2The Big Kids Had a Super Cool Party! You won't believe what the big 18 year old kids at my school did! They had this amazing party called a "coming-of-age ceremony" to celebrate turning into adults. It was so awesome!First, they all got dressed up in fancy suits and pretty dresses. The boys looked so handsome in their black suits and ties. The girls looked like real life princesses with their beautiful flowing gowns and sparkly jewelry. They put on makeup and did their hair all nice too. I've never seen them look so grown up before! Then, they all walked down this long red carpet into the big auditorium at school. Their families were there clapping and taking tons of pictures. The auditorium was decorated so nicely with balloons, flowers, and ribbons in the school colors. It looked just like a wedding!Up on the huge stage, there were teachers giving speeches about how proud they were of the students. Some of the students also got up and gave speeches thanking their parentsand teachers for helping them. A few kids even played musical instruments or sang songs! I didn't know they were so talented. The most exciting part was when each student finally got called up on stage one-by-one. The principal gave them this fancy certificate that said they were now adults. Then they got to put on a really cool robe that looked almost like a graduation gown. After that, all the adults got to come up and shake their hands to say congratulations! It was such a big deal because in our culture, once you turn 18 years old you are finally seen as a grown up. Thecoming-of-age ceremony celebrates you becoming mature and responsible. It's like an important rite of passage into adulthood. After all the ceremonies and speeches were done, there was a huge party with food, music, dancing, and games. The kids went crazy having fun celebrating with their friends and family! There was even a chocolate fountain that I'm super jealous about. Some of the older kids got to go on special trips or do fun activities too as part of their coming-of-age celebration. I heard some went skiing, others went to amusement parks, and a few even went skydiving! How cool is that?!At the end of the night, the new "adults" all gathered together for a big group photo. They were holding certificates, wearing their robes, and had these proud smiles on after such a special day. They looked so grown up but I could tell they were still kids at heart, excited about this amazing milestone.I can't wait until I'm 18 so I can have my own coming-of-age party! It looks like so much fun to get all dressed up, be celebrated, and then go do awesome activities with my friends. Plus, finally being seen as an adult for real instead of just a kid? That's the dream!I bet the 18 year olds felt so mature, accomplished, and proud of themselves after their big ceremony too. It's such an important event to honor kids taking that first big step into being a responsible adult member of society. I'm sure it's a day they'll never forget!篇3The Big Kids' Super Cool Grown-Up PartyWow, you guys! You'll never believe what the big kids in high school did the other day. They had this massive party to celebrate turning 18 years old! Can you imagine? Those highschoolers aren't kids anymore, they're actually grown-ups now. At least, that's what they think! My older sister Jessica is a senior at the high school, so she got to be a part of the whole thing. She's been talking about it non-stop. Apparently, it was this huge ceremony called a "coming-of-age" celebration. From what I understand, it's a really big deal in lots of different cultures around the world when kids become adults at age 18.Jessica said they had to plan everything themselves as a senior class project. That must have been a ton of work! They had to pick a theme, decorations, food, drinks (just juice boxes, of course), music, games, all of it. I don't know how they managed to pull it all together. For the theme, the seniors decided to go with a "Night in Paris" vibe. So cheesy, but also kind of romantic, I guess? They decked out the whole school gym to look like a Parisian streetscape, with cafe tables,StringKvPLights, even a fake Eiffel Tower in the middle of the dance floor! Jessica showed me some pictures and it actually looked pretty neat. But here's the funniest part - all the seniors had to dress up in tuxedos and fancy dresses, like they were going to prom or something. Jessica got this frilly pink number that looks straightout of an old movie. She was absolutely mortified to be seen in it, but our parents made her wear it anyway. Tough break, sis!The big event kicked off with all the seniors marching single-file into the gym, wearing their penguin suits and princess gowns. Can you picture it? A lineup of 300 hormonal teens, trying so hard to look sophisticated. I'm sure it was a total cringefest! Then the principal gave this long-winded speech about "the responsibilities of adulthood" and how they're all "becoming men and women today." Yadda yadda yadda...don't they know high schoolers just zone out as soon as an adult starts lecturing them? After that, they did all kinds of cheesy activities. There were games like "newlywed" quizzes about how well the seniors knew each other as "adults." Jessica said it was excruciating. They also had to watch videos of themselves as little kids and share "lessons they've learned" on their journey to adulthood so far. Barf! The real highlight though was the dinner and dance party afterward. For dinner, the school cafeteria staff catered a huge formal meal with fancy grown-up foods. Although I heard a lot of the seniors just wanted pizza instead!Once they were done eating, a DJ kicked off a dance party in the gym. Jessica's face literally turned beet red when she admitted the entire senior class had choreographed an opening dance number to "footloose." I wish I could have seen it!From what she said, the dance floor was an absolute rager all night long. Even the shyest kids were cutting loose and going totally crazy, since it was their one last chance before becoming "adults." Although to be honest, I bet a lot of them will still be living with their parents and doing kids' stuff for years to come. They're not real grown-ups yet!The seniors also took tons of cheesy prom-style photos in a special backdrop area. Jessica looks so silly in her bright pink poofy dress, but she was clearly having a blast hamming it up with her friends. Don't worry, I've got a personal stash to embarrass her with for years! All in all, it sounds like the seniors' coming-of-age party was both ridiculous and kind of amazing at the same time. They tried so hard to feel like mature grown-ups, but at the end of the day, it was really just a final chance to act like silly kids before graduating. Part of me can't wait to be that age and experience something that fun and memorable. But another part of mehopes I never grow up and never have to leave the endless pleasures of elementary school behind! Those high school seniors may think they're all grown-up now, but we all know the truth. No matter how old you get, you never really stop being a kid at heart. Their coming-of-age party proved that more than anything! Even when you're smart and sophisticated on the outside, you're always a silly goof on the inside. Here's to staying young forever!篇4My Big Sis and Her Friends Had a Super Cool Party!Guess what? My big sister Jessie and all her friends had the most awesome party ever! It was called a "Coming of Age Ceremony" to celebrate them turning 18 years old. 18 is a really big number! That means they are finally adults, but still pretty young adults. The party was at our school gym and it was decorated so beautifully. There were balloons everywhere in bright colors like red, blue, yellow, and green. The stage had big sparkly curtains and there were flowers all over. Jessie's friend Emily's mom is really good at flower arranging so she made it look like a fairy garden up there! All of Jessie's friends got to dress up in their fanciest clothes. The girls wore pretty dresses and had their hair done all nicely. The boys wore suits and ties and looked so handsome. Jessie's dress was my favorite - it was a pale pink color with sparkles that shimmered when she moved. She had little flowers in her hair too. I told her she looked like a princess! The ceremony started with the principal giving a speech welcoming everyone. Then they played a slideshow with baby pictures of each student. It was so funny seeing Jessie's friend Michael with that funny haircut he had when he was little! After that, each student went up on stage one by one.The teacher read out accomplishments they had from kindergarten until now. Like when Eric won the spelling bee in 3rd grade. Or when Leah got the amazing art award last year. I was so proud of my sister because they said she got straight A's every year and was the captain of the soccer team! When the accomplishments were read, the parents came up and gave their child a certificate and a rose. It was really sweet. Then came the party part of the evening which was my favorite! We had a huge dinner feast with all sorts of delicious foods. There was pizza, chicken nuggets, French fries, and even a chocolate fountain. For dessert they had a massive triplechocolate cake that was totally drool-worthy. I'm not ashamed to admit I had three slices! After eating, there was music and dancing. All the students were doing crazy dance moves and having so much fun. A group of the guys even did a goofy choreographed dance routine which had everyone laughing hysterically. I got to dance with my sister too which was really special.Towards the end of the night, each student gave a speech about their hopes and dreams for the future. Some wanted to be doctors, others artists or entrepreneurs. A few weren't sure yet which is ok too. My big sis wants to be an engineer because she's super good at math and science. Her dream is to design rocket ships to go to Mars! How cool is that?It was such a magical evening celebrating all the hard work and bright futures of these newly minted adults. I'm so proud of Jessie and all her friends. They've accomplished so much already and I just know they are all going to go on to change the world in amazing ways.Even though it means my sister is now officially grown up, I'm not too sad. I know she'll always be my biggest cheerleader and we'll still have lots of fun adventures together. Maybe I'll even get to ride in one of those rocket ships she builds someday! The future is so bright for the Class of 2024. This was just the first of many celebrations to come for their incredible journeys ahead. Congratulations, new adults!篇5The Big Kids' Super Duper DayWow, you guys! I just saw the most amazing, incredible, fantastical thing ever! The big kids at my school - you know, the high school seniors who are 18 years old - they had this huge party to celebrate becoming adults. It was so cool!First, they all got dressed up in fancy suits and pretty dresses. The boys looked so handsome and the girls looked like real-life princesses. I've never seen them all dolled up like that before. Usually they just wear t-shirts and jeans or their school uniforms. But for this special day, they went all out! Then, they gathered in the big auditorium and their parents, teachers, and families all came too. There were decorations everywhere - balloons, flowers, sparkly things hanging from the ceiling. It looked like a fairy wonderland! Everyone was so excited. The principal started off the ceremony by giving a speech about how the seniors are "coming of age" and becoming officialgrown-ups now that they're 18. He called each of their names one-by-one and they walked across the stage. Their families cheered super loud! When they got to the middle of the stage, each student received this cool-looking scroll tied up with a ribbon. The principal said it was a "certificate of adulthood." How awesome is that?! They get an actual certificate saying they're adults now. I can't wait until I'm 18 so I can get my own adult certificate! After every senior got their scroll, they did this really incredible tradition. One-by-one, the students walked up to their mom and dad and gave them a BIG hug. The parents looked so proud and happy! Some of them had tears in their eyes from being so overjoyed. The students looked really proud too.Apparently, the hugging symbolizes the students "leaving the nest" and going out into the world as grown-ups. But it also shows they are grateful to their parents for raising them. It was such a sweet, heartwarming moment. I definitely had some happy tears in my eyes watching it!When all the formal ceremony stuff was done, it turned into a huge party! There was music, dancing, lots of yummy party food, and games. I even saw some of the seniors doing fun dances together like they were in a cool music video. We don'tget to have big parties like that in elementary school, so I was super jealous. Some of the seniors gave speeches about their hopes and dreams for the future now that they're adults. Others performed talents like singing, dancing, or playing instruments. A few students showed videos/presentations about what they want to be when they grow up - I heard everything from doctor and teacher to video game designer and race car driver! They all have such big aspirations. At the very end, the seniors all gathered outside and released a bunch of balloons into the sky. As the balloons floated up and away, everyone cheered and celebrated the seniors officially entering the adult world. I heard them all shouting "We're adults!" at the top of their lungs. You could see how excited and proud they felt. What a milestone!Overall, it was such an incredible experience getting to watch the big kids' coming-of-age ceremony. They worked so hard to get through high school, and now they're finally being recognized as grown-ups who are ready to go out and conquer the world. I can't wait for my turn to have an awesome 18th birthday party like that! For now, I'll just dream about the day I get to dress up, accept my own certificate, and release balloonsinto the sky as a brand new adult. What a perfect way to celebrate becoming a real-life grown-up!。

2019年雅思大作文解析及写作范文:每个人都应该上学到18岁

2019年雅思大作文解析及写作范文:每个人都应该上学到18岁Everybody should stay at school until 18 years old. To what extent do you agree or disagree?每个人上学都应该至少到18岁。

你在何种水准上同意或者不同意这个观点?To compete in a global economy young people are expected to be highly educated. Governments in some countries therebefore have implemented or planned to enforce the laws about raising the school leaving age. This movement givesrise to much controversy in the community. In this essay, we will discuss some arguments for and against studying until the age of eighteen. The proposal would help tackle the problem of teenagers leaving education without qualifications or workplace skills. It is not strictly about increasing the 'school' leaving age, but about keeping teens in some kind of education or training until they are 18, most of them full-time, including apprenticeships and work-based training. Especially in this competitive society, obtaining certain qualifications or pursuing higher education is an inevitable trend. If you left school a decade ago with an age under 18 there were loads of jobs you could walk into without qualifications, howeverthat's not going to be the case now and in the future. This fast-changing world needs more professionals to support and develop, and normally students can only be qualified when they finished high school or technical school while reaching 18.Some people, on the other hand, argue that there is no reason to force all 16 year olds to stay in school longer than they need to be there. By the age of sixteen, some students have a strong sense of who they are and what they want to become. Forcing these confident young people to "stay in school" until they turn 18 could actually be deterring them from achieving their career and life goals. In my opinion of view, these so called confident young people under 18 are rare and it is still beneficial for them to receive training for their career preparation. The modern education system cannot afford to neglect those teenagers who currently leave school at 16 unprepared for the rigor and demands of life in the 21st Century.。

早教 On Attending School from a Young Age

早教 On Attending School from a Young Age

早教 On Attending School from a Young AgeMostchildren used to start attending school at their six or seven years old whilenowadays more and more children in cities start attending school from a youngage. Concerning this phenomenon, some people hold that it is good forchildren's development to attend school in an earlier age while others entertainopposite opposition. From my point of view, I am inclined to support the formerone. The reasons are as following.

First, to attend schoolfrom a young age provides a better environment for children to grow uphealthier, especially those children in cities. With the need of work, many parents incities cannot spend a lot of time with their children and that will influencechildren developing healthy. In contrary, if children have a chance to attendschool at their earlier age, they will get more chance to play with theirfellows, which is good for them to have an unforgettable childhood.首先,早教为小孩,尤其是为城市里的小孩,提供了能让他们更加健康地成长的环境。

For each of them there are four choices marked A), B), C) and D). You should decide on the best choice and mark the corresponding letter on the Answer Sheet. Passage OneQuestions 16 to 20 are based on the following passage. There are two basic ways to see growth: one as a product, the other as a process. People have generally viewed personal growth as an external result or product that can easily be identified and measured. The worker who gets a promotion, the student whose grades improve, the foreigner who learns a new language –all these are examples of people who have measurable results to show for their efforts.By contrast, the process of personal growth is much more difficult to determine, since by definition it is a journey and not the specific signposts or landmarks along the way. The process is not the road itself, but rather the attitudes and feelings people have, their caution or courage, as they encounter new experiences and unexpected obstacles. In this process, the journey never really ends; there are always new ways to experience the world, new ideas to try, new challenges to accept. In order to grow, to travel new roads, people need to have a willingness to take risks, to confront the unknown, and to accept the possibility that they may “fail” at first. How we see ourselves as we try a new way of being is essential to our ability to grow. Do we perceive ourselves as quick and curious? If so, then we tend to take more chances and to be more open to unfamiliar experiences. Do we think we’re shy and indecisive? Then our sense of timidity can cause us to hesitate, to move slowly, and not to take a step until we know the ground is safe. Do we think we’re slow to adapt to change or that we’re not smart enough to cope with a newchallenge? Then we are likely to take a more passive role or not try at all. These feelings of insecurity and self-doubt are both unavoidable and necessary if we are to change and grow. If we do not confront and overcome these internal fears and doubts, if we protect ourselves too much, then we cease to grow. We become trapped inside a shell of our own making.16. A person is generally believed to achieve personal growth when .A.he has given up his drinking habitB.he has made great efforts in his workC.he is keen on learning anything newD.he has tried to determine where he is on his journey17. In the author’s eyes, one who views personal growth as a process would.A.succeed in climbing up the social ladderB.judge his ability to grow from his own achievementsC.face difficulties and take up challengesD.aim high and reach his goal each time18. When the author says “a new way of being” (Line 3, Para. 3)he is referring to .A. a new approach to experiencing the world B) a new way of taking risksC. a new method of perceiving ourselves D) a new system of adaptation to change19. For personal growth, the author advocates all of the following except .A.curiosity about more chances B) open-mindedness to new experiencesC) promptness in self-adaptation D) avoidance of internal fears and doubts20. What is the best title of the passage?A) A Product of Growth B) Both Aspects of GrowthC) A Process of Growth D) Growth-Product or ProcessPassage TwoQuestions 21 to 25 are based on the following passage.Generations of Americans have been brought up to believe that a good breakfast is one of life’s essentials. Eating breakfasts at the start of the day, we have all been told, and told again, is as necessary as putting gasoline in the family car before starting a trip. But for many people the thought of food first thing in the morning is by no means pleasure. So despite all the efforts, they still take no breakfast. Between 1977 and 1983, the latest year for which figures are available, the number of people who didn’t have breakfast increased by 33 percent-from 8.8 million to 11.7 million-according to the Chicago-based Market Research Corporation of America. For those who feel pain of guilt about not eating breakfast, however, there is some good news. Several studies in the last few years indicate that, for adults especially, there may be nothing wrong with omitting breakfast. “Going without breakfast does not affect performance,” said Arnold E.Bender, former professor of nutrition at Queen Elizabeth College in London, “nor does giving people breakfast improve performance.”Scientific evidence linking breakfast to better health or better performance is surprisingly inadequate, and most of the recent work involves children, not adults. “The literature,” says one researcher, Dr. Ernesto Pollitt at the University of Texas, “is poor.”21. The latest year for which figures could be obtained is ______.A) the year the author wrote the articleB) 1977C) any year between 1977 and 1983D) 198322. For those who do not take breakfast, the good news is that ______.A) several studies have been done in the past few yearsB) the omission of breakfast do es no harm to one’s healthC) adults have especially made studies in this fieldD) eating little in the morning is good for health23. “…nor does giving people breakfast improve performance” (in Line 13) means ______.A) anyone without breakfast does improve his performanceB) not giving people breakfast improves performanceC) having breakfast does not improve performance, eitherD) people having breakfast do improve their performances, too24. The word “literature” in the last sentence refers to _______.A) written works on a particular subjectB) stories, poems, plays, etc.C) any printed materialD) the modern literature of America25. What can be inferred from the passage is that _________.A) breakfast does not affect performanceB) Dr.Pollitt is engaged in research work at an institution of higher learningC) not eating breakfast might affect the health of childrenD) Professor Bender once taught college courses in nutrition in LondonPassage ThreeQuestions 26 to 30 are based on the following passage. One of the strongest reasons for the raising of the school leaving age (ROSLA) has been that it will bring us nearer to the ideal of “equal opportunity”.Many people like to think of our present system of schooling as providing plenty of steps up the ladder of success for clever children. It would be good to think that no one who is really bright can be missed out when the state system is apparently so thorough. It is obvious, for instance, that many children from less rich homes reach university or do well in other ways.Unfortunately, we now have plenty of evidence that many children of every level of ability do much less well than they could. For instance, during the years of national military service it was possible to test the intelligence of all male 18-20 year olds. Half of those soldiers who were placed in the two highest ability groups had left schools at 15.It has also been shown that the percentage of working class children going to university is almost the same now as it was in 1930. One study of 5000 children from birth to 21 years old indicated that up to half the bright pupils from working class homes left school when they reached 16 years old. Moreover, there is no difference in intelligence between the sexes, but far more boys than girls stay in education after 16.It is clear from this and much other evidence that many children are still leaving school too early to benefit from the prizes —money, social respectability, and interesting jobs, which higher education gives. It is clear too that the reasons why such children leave have much to do with their social circumstances. Their parents often need the extra money another wage-earner can bring in; they do not value education for itself because their own was probably dull and unhappy. It is not so much that they force their sons and daughters to leave school, rather that they tend to say, “It’s up to you”.26. This article shows that equal opportunity in education___________________.A) is a thing of the past B) has greatly improved our societyC) is there for those who merit it D) has not yet been achievedPassage FourQuestions 31 to 35 are based on the following passage. In recent years, a growing body of research has shown that our appetite and food intake are influenced by a large number of factors besides our biological need for energy, including our eating environment and our perception of the food in front of us.Studies have shown, for instance, that eating in front of the TV (or a similar distraction) can increase both hunger and the amount of food consumed. Even simple visual cues, like plate size and lighting, have been shown to affect portion size and consumption.A new study suggested that our short-term memory also may play a role in appetite. Several hours after a meal, people's hunger levels were predicted not by how much they’d eaten but rather by how much food they'd seen in front of them—in other words, how much they remembered eating. This disparity (盖弃)suggests the memory of our previous meal may have a bigger influence on our appetite than the actual size of the meal, says Jeffrey M. Brunstrom, a professorof experimental psychology at the University of Bristol."Hunger isn't controlled solely by the physical characteristics of a recent meal. We have identified an independent role for memory for that meal," Brunstrom says. "This shows that the relationship between hunger and food intake is more complex than we thought."These findings echo earlier research that suggests our perception of food can sometimes trick our body’s response to the food itself. In a 2011 study, for instance, people who drank the same 380-calorie (卡路里)milkshake on two separate occasions produced different levels of hunger-related hormones (荷尔蒙),depending on whether the shake’s label said it contained 620 or 140 calories. Moreover, the participants reported feeling more full when they thought they'd consumed a higher-calorie shake. What does this mean for our eating habits? Although it hardly seems practical to trick ourselves into eating less, the new findings do highlight the benefits of focusing on our food and avoiding TV and multitasking while eating. The so-called mindful-eating strategies can fight distractions and help us control our appetite, Brunstrom says.31. What is said to be a factor affecting our appetite and food intake?A) How we perceive the food we eat. B) What ingredients the food containsC) When we eat our meals. D) How fast we eat our meals.32. What would happen at meal time if you remembered eating a lot in the previous meal?A) You would probably be more picky about food.B) You would not feel like eating the same food.C) You would have a good appetite.D) You would not feel so hungry.33. What do we learn from the 2011 study?A) Food labels may mislead consumers in their purchases.B) Food labels may influence our body’s response to food.C) Hunger levels depend on one's consumption of calories.D) People tend to take in a lot more calories than necessary.34. What does Brunstrom suggest we do to control our appetite?A) Trick ourselves into eating less. B) Choose food with fewer calories.C) Concentrate on food while eating. D) Pick dishes of the right size.35. What excited me most during my grade school days, however, was to be out collecting specimens of the butterfly. Once, on a sunny day and after walking a good while, we reached a one began to catch the butterflies with great excitement while the teacher told us about the living habit of them. Though we spent more time in playing than in catching butterflies, we still had a rich collection when we went home, and a rich knowledge of wildlife into the bargain. After I attended junior high school I did not have much of anopportunity to learn the way I did in grade school, but did not regret because we are bound to go through variousstages of life. 作为青少年如何为国家发展做贡献英语作文

作为青少年如何为国家发展做贡献英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1How Can Teenagers Contribute to National Development? As a high school student, I often find myself pondering about the future of our nation and what role I can play in shaping it. Our country faces numerous challenges, ranging from economic struggles to social issues, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed or disheartened. However, I firmly believe that we, as the youth of today, possess the power to drive positive change and contribute to the development of our nation. One of the most significant ways we can make a difference is through education. Education is the foundation upon which a nation's progress is built. By dedicating ourselves to our studies and striving for academic excellence, we can equip ourselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle the complex problems our country faces. Whether we aspire to become scientists, engineers, doctors, or entrepreneurs, a solid educational foundation will empower us to make meaningful contributions to our respective fields. Moreover, we should actively seek out opportunities to engage in extracurricular activities and community service projects. These experiences not only enrich our personal growth but also foster a sense of social responsibility and civic engagement. Volunteering at local charities, participating in environmental cleanups, or organizing awareness campaigns can have a tangible impact on our communities and inspire others to join the cause. In today's digital age, we have unprecedented access to information and platforms for self-expression. As tech-savvy individuals, we can leverage social media and online platforms to raise awareness about important issues, initiate discussions, and mobilize support for causes we believe in. By using our voices responsibly and spreading positivity, we can influence public discourse and shape the narrative around critical matters affecting our nation.Another avenue for contribution lies in entrepreneurship and innovation. Young minds are often brimming with fresh ideas and creative solutions to long-standing problems. By embracing an entrepreneurial mindset and nurturing our innovative talents, we can develop products, services, or technologies that drive economic growth, create jobopportunities, and improve the overall quality of life for our fellow citizens.Furthermore, we should strive to be active participants in the political process, even before we reach the legal voting age. Staying informed about current affairs, engaging in respectful debates, and advocating for policies that align with our values can influence decision-makers and shape the future direction of our nation. Our voices matter, and by expressing our concerns and aspirations through legitimate channels, we can hold our leaders accountable and ensure that the interests of the younger generation are represented.Ultimately, our contribution to national development transcends any single action or initiative. It is a lifelong commitment to being responsible, ethical, and compassionate citizens. We must cultivate a sense of patriotism that goes beyond blind loyalty and instead embraces a genuine desire to uplift our nation and its people. By embodying values such as integrity, empathy, and respect for diversity, we can serve as positive role models and inspire others to join us in building a more prosperous and inclusive society. As we navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, it is crucial to remember that our actions today will shapethe future of our nation. Every small step we take, every effort we make, and every positive change we inspire can have a ripple effect that contributes to the greater good of our country. In conclusion, as teenagers, we possess a unique blend of energy, idealism, and a fresh perspective that can be harnessed to drive national development. Through education, community engagement, responsible use of technology, entrepreneurship, political participation, and a steadfast commitment to ethical values, we can play a vital role in shaping a better tomorrow for our nation. It is our collective responsibility to seize this opportunity and be the architects of positive change, leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.篇2How Can Teenagers Contribute to the Development of Our Nation? As a teenager, it's easy to feel powerless and like the future of our nation is out of our hands. The big decisions that shape the country are made by adults - politicians, business leaders, and other influential figures. However, I believe that we young people have an important role to play in driving positive change and contributing to the development of our nation. While wemay not have the same level of influence as adults, our voices, actions, and ideas can make a real difference. One of the most important ways that teenagers can contribute is by staying informed and engaged with the issues that affect our country. We live in an age of overwhelming information, with news and opinions bombarding us from all sides. It can be tempting to tune out and focus solely on our immediate concerns – school, friends, hobbies, etc. However, I believe it's crucial that we make an effort to understand the larger forces shaping our society. By educating ourselves on political, economic, social, and environmental issues, we can develop informed perspectives and advocate for the changes we want to see. This doesn't mean we have to become policy experts overnight. Even taking small steps, like reading reputable news sources, listening to diverse viewpoints, and discussing issues with our peers, can go a long way in helping us become more knowledgeable and engaged citizens. As we approach voting age, having a solid grasp of the key issues facing our nation will allow us to make informed decisions at the ballot box and hold our leaders accountable. In addition to staying informed, teenagers can contribute to national development by getting involved in community service and volunteering initiatives. There are countless organizations and projects that aim to address various challenges facing our country, from poverty and inequality to environmental degradation and access to education. By donating our time and energy to these efforts, we can directly impact the lives of our fellow citizens and work towards creating a better future for all.Community service not only allows us to make a tangible difference, but it also helps us develop valuable skills and perspectives. Through volunteering, we learn about the complexities of social issues, gain a deeper appreciation for diversity and empathy, and cultivate a sense of civic responsibility. These experiences can shape us into morewell-rounded, compassionate, and socially conscious individuals, better equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Moreover, as digital natives, teenagers have a unique opportunity to leverage technology and social media to drive positive change. We live in an era where ideas and movements can spread like wildfire across online platforms, and young people are often at the forefront of these digital revolutions. By using our tech-savvy and online presence responsibly, we canraise awareness about important causes, mobilize support for initiatives, and amplify marginalized voices that might otherwise go unheard.Of course, it's important to use these powerful tools ethically and constructively, avoiding the spread of misinformation or harmful rhetoric. But when wielded effectively, social media can be a potent force for social activism, advocacy, and grassroots movements that can shape the trajectory of our nation.Another way teenagers can contribute to national development is by nurturing our creativity and innovative thinking. As a generation raised in an era of rapid technological and social change, we possess a unique perspective and a willingness to challenge traditional ways of thinking. By embracing our curiosity and exploring new ideas, we can develop fresh solutions to long-standing problems and drive innovation across various sectors. This could mean coming up with novel approaches to environmental sustainability, developing cutting-edge technologies that improve healthcare or education, or reimagining social systems to be more equitable and inclusive. By cultivating a mindset of innovation and critical thinking froma young age, we can position ourselves to be theproblem-solvers and change-makers of tomorrow.Of course, contributing to national development isn't just about grand gestures or revolutionary ideas. It's also about the small, everyday choices we make and the values we uphold. By striving to be ethical, compassionate, and responsible citizens, we can set a positive example for those around us and create a ripple effect of positive change. This means treating others with respect, regardless of their background or beliefs. It means being conscientious about our environmental impact and making sustainable choices whenever possible. It means standing up against injustice, discrimination, and intolerance, and promoting an inclusive, equitable society for all.Ultimately, the development of our nation rests on the shoulders of each and every one of us, regardless of age. While we may not have the same level of influence as adults, our voices, actions, and ideas can shape the trajectory of our country in profound ways.By staying informed and engaged, volunteering our time and energy, leveraging technology and social media responsibly, nurturing our creativity and innovative thinking, and upholdingstrong values of ethics, empathy, and responsibility, we teenagers can play a vital role in driving positive change and contributing to the development of our nation. It won't be easy, and there will be challenges and setbacks along the way. But if we approach these efforts with passion, perseverance, and a genuine desire to make a difference, we can overcome these obstacles and create a better future for ourselves and for generations to come.So let's embrace this responsibility and seize the opportunity to shape the world around us. Our voices matter, our actions have impact, and our ideas can change lives. Together, we can be the driving force behind a stronger, more prosperous, and more just nation – one that reflects the hopes, dreams, and values of its young people.篇3How Can Teenagers Contribute to the Nation's Development? As a teenager in today's rapidly changing world, I often find myself pondering the role that my generation can play in shaping the future of our nation. While we may be young, wepossess a unique blend of energy, idealism, and technological savviness that can be harnessed to drive positive change. One of the most significant contributions that teenagers can make is to embrace education wholeheartedly. Knowledge is the cornerstone of progress, and by committing ourselves to lifelong learning, we equip ourselves with the tools necessary to tackle the complex challenges that lie ahead. Whether it's excelling in our academic pursuits, acquiring new skills through vocational training, or engaging in self-directed learning, every bit of knowledge we gain strengthens our ability to innovate and adapt. Moreover, as digital natives, we have an inherent understanding of technology that can be leveraged to drive innovation. From developing cutting-edge software and applications to exploring sustainable energy solutions, our familiarity with emerging technologies positions us to be at the forefront of scientific and technological advancements. By channeling our creativity and technological prowess, we can contribute to the development of solutions that address societal needs, propel economic growth, and improve the overall quality of life.In addition to our academic and technological contributions, teenagers can play a vital role in promoting social and environmental awareness. By actively participating in community service initiatives, volunteering for environmental projects, and advocating for important causes, we can raise awareness and inspire others to join the movement towards positive change.Furthermore, as digital natives, we have the unique ability to leverage social media and online platforms to amplify our voices and spread awareness on important issues. Whether it's through creating thought-provoking content, organizing virtual campaigns, or fostering online communities, we can harness the power of the internet to galvanize support for causes that matter to our nation's progress.Importantly, our contributions to the nation's development should not be limited to tangible actions alone. We must also cultivate a mindset of civic engagement and a deep-rooted sense of patriotism. By staying informed about national affairs, participating in democratic processes, and actively engaging incivic discourse, we can shape the political landscape and ensure that our nation's policies and initiatives align with the aspirations of its people. However, it is crucial to acknowledge that contributing to the nation's development is not a solitary endeavor. We must foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork, recognizing that true progress can only be achieved through collective effort. By working alongside individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, we can broaden our understanding, challenge our assumptions, and arrive at more inclusive and holistic solutions.Furthermore, as we navigate our journey towards making meaningful contributions, it is essential to cultivate resilience, perseverance, and a growth mindset. Change is rarely instantaneous, and we must be prepared to face setbacks and obstacles along the way. By embracing challenges as opportunities for growth and learning, we can develop the fortitude necessary to overcome adversities and persevere in our pursuit of positive change. In conclusion, as teenagers, we stand at a pivotal juncture where our actions and choices can profoundly influence the trajectory of our nation's development. 我不再是小孩子作文英语初中

我不再是小孩子作文英语初中

我不再是小孩子作文英语初中全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1I am No Longer a ChildAs I step into the hallways of middle school, I can't help but feel a sense of change washing over me. The environment is different, the classes are harder, and the expectations are higher. But most importantly, I am no longer treated like a child. This transition from elementary to middle school marks a significant milestone in my life, and I can't help but reflect on how much I've grown and matured over the years. In elementary school, everything seemed so simple and carefree. The days were filled with games, arts and crafts, and endless playtime on the playground. We were coddled and protected, with teachers holding our hands through every step of the learning process. Rules were strict, and we were constantly reminded to behave and follow instructions. Those days are long gone now. In middle school, we are expected to take responsibility for our own learning and actions. The teachers no longer spoon-feed us information; instead, theychallenge us to think critically, analyze, and solve problems independently. Gone are the days of being shepherded from one class to the next. We must navigate the maze of hallways and classrooms on our own, ensuring we arrive on time and prepared. The subject matter has also become more complex and demanding. Suddenly, we are faced with intricate mathematical equations, in-depth literature analyses, and scientific theories that require a level of abstract thinking we've never encountered before. It's a stark contrast from the simple arithmetic, picture books, and basic science experiments of our elementary years. But it's not just the academic rigor that has changed; our social dynamics have shifted as well. In elementary school, friendships were simple and uncomplicated. We played together at recess, shared snacks, and bonded over our love for games and toys. Now, in middle school, relationships have become more nuanced and layered.Cliques have formed, and popularity has become a currency. Navigating the social landscape is like walking through a minefield, with every word and action carrying weight and scrutiny. Crushes and romantic interests have emerged, addingan entirely new dimension to our interactions with the opposite gender. It's not just our peers who treat us differently; our parents and teachers also have adapted their approach. They no longer coddle or shelter us from the harsh realities of the world. Instead, they encourage us to step out of our comfort zones, try new things, and take risks. They challenge us to think for ourselves, form our own opinions, and stand up for what we believe in.With this newfound freedom and responsibility comes a sense of empowerment, but also a weight of accountability. Our actions and choices now have real consequences, and we must learn to make decisions wisely, considering the potential impacts on our futures. As I navigate these uncharted waters of adolescence, I find myself constantly questioning and redefining my identity. Who am I? What do I stand for? What are my dreams and aspirations? These are the questions that plague my mind as I grapple with the complexities of growing up.Yet, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, I also feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. This is the beginning of a new chapter in my life, a time of self篇2No Longer a Little KidThe days of being a carefree little kid are long gone. As I sit here in my English class in middle school, I can't help but reminisce about how life used to be so simple and easy. Gone are the days of just playing all day without a care in the world. Now, my days are filled with responsibilities, expectations, and challenges I never could have imagined just a few years ago.I remember when I was in elementary school, the biggest things on my mind were what games to play at recess and which cartoon to watch when I got home. My parents took care of everything else – making sure I was fed, bathed, and put to bed at a reasonable hour. I didn't have to worry about homework, chores, or any of the other responsibilities that have become a normal part of my life now. These days, I have what feels like a million things to keep track of. I have a heavy load of homework every night across multiple subjects like English, math, science, and history. It's a ton of work, way more than when I was a kid. I have to really stay on top of it and manage my time wisely in order to get it all done. It's not just mindless worksheets anymore – I actually have to use my brain! Then there are the expectations that come with being in middle school. It's considered the time when you're really supposed to start buckling down and taking your academics seriously. The grades I get now will start mattering for getting into a good high school. There's so much more pressure than there used to be. My teachers and parents are constantly pushing me to do my best and live up to my full potential. As if the homework itself wasn't enough stress! On top of that, my parents have me doing chores around the house regularly now. Taking out the trash, cleaning my room, helping with yard work – responsibilities I never had to deal with as a little kid. I'm expected to pitch in and contribute because I'm becoming a "young adult." It feels like I've gone from having no duties at all to having a million things I'm supposed to do. No more lying around watching cartoons all day, that's for sure! The social world has changed dramatically too as I've grown older. When I was little, making friends was as simple as going up to someone at the playground and asking them to play. There was no drama, no judgment, and hardly any concept ofpopularity or social status. Friendships were easy anddrama-free.Now in middle school, it's a completely different story. There are so many unwritten social rules, cliques, and popularity contests to navigate. Who's hot, who's not, who's allowed to hang out with who – it all seems so shallow and silly, yet it occupies so much thought and energy at this age. Trying to fit in and find your place in the social hierarchy is hard. Maintaining friendships has become much more complex and dramatic than when I was younger.I miss the simplicity and lack of worries that came with beinga little kid. Of course, there are some good things about getting older too. I have a lot more freedom and independence than I used to. I'm allowed to go places with my friends without my parents tagging along. I get to make some of my own choices about extracurricular activities and how I spend my free time. It's nice to have that trust and autonomy. There's also a sense of maturity and capability that comes with no longer being a little kid. I can take care of myself in ways I couldn't before. I can cook simple meals, do my own laundry, and handle basic self-care tasks without total dependence on my parents. I'm not as helpless and clueless as when I was in thoseearly childhood years. With age and experience comes a feeling of competence and confidence that is empowering.Still, the transition from being a carefree child to a responsible almost-teenager has been rough at times. The academic demands, social pressures, new expectations and responsibilities – it's all a lot to handle. Some days I miss the days of playing make-believe and watching cartoons without a single care or concern in the world. Those were simpler, more innocent times.I know I can't go backward though. This is just part of the process of growing up and becoming a mature, capable,well-rounded individual. The challenges are ultimately building important life skills like time management, discipline, social intelligence, and a strong work ethic. I'm sure in a few more years, I'll look back at this middle school phase and it won't seem like such a big deal anymore. For now though, the journey of leaving childhood behind is a tough one. I have to keep reminding myself that the freedoms and feeling of empowerment make it all worth it. I may not be a little kid anymore, but the life of a middle schooler certainly still beats being a clueless, dependent toddler! If I can just push through this awkward transitional phase, the rewards of being aself-sufficient young adult will be mine. Maybe then I'll miss these days of drama and growing pains. For better or worse, I'm a middle schooler now and there's no going back. It's time to put my childhood behind me once and for all.篇3Growing Up: The Transition from Child to Young AdultAs I stand here today at the tender age of 14, I can't help but reflect on how much my life has changed in just a few short years. It feels like just yesterday I was that carefree little kid playing make-believe games and living in a world of pure imagination. However, those days are now long gone as I've entered the rollercoaster journey known as adolescence and have been forced to come to terms with the reality that I am no longer a child. It's a bit of a harsh awakening, this realization that childhood is officially over. Part of me longs to go back to those simpler times when my biggest concerns were what cartoon to watch or what game to play at recess. Being a kid was easy - no responsibilities, no pressures, no worries. I was blissfully unaware of the complexities of the real world. My childhood felt like onenever-ending summer vacation filled with ice cream, jungle gyms, and unleashed potential. But now, I've been abruptly thrust into this new unfamiliar phase of life that is adolescence. Everywhere I turn, I'm being told to "grow up" and "act more mature." All of a sudden, I'm expected to handle more responsibilities like intense schoolwork, chores, and part-time jobs. I'm having to make bigger decisions that can impact my future, like what clubs to join or what classes to take. And to top it off, I'm going through all kinds of crazy physical and emotional changes thanks to lovely thing called puberty. Feeling confused, insecure, and angsty has become part of my daily routine. As if that wasn't enough, I'm also being encouraged to start seriously thinking about my future career goals and what I want to be when I grew up. How is a 14-year-old supposed to decide what they want to do for the rest of their life? I have so many interests and ambitions - I dream of becoming a veterinarian one day, but also a famous musician, or maybe even an astronaut. Part of me wishes I could have a few more years of childhood to figure it all out before being forced to map out my entire future.Despite all the newfound stresses and harsh realities of adolescence, I will admit that there are some advantages togetting older. At this age, I'm finally being treated with a bit more respect and independence compared to when I was a little kid. My parents have started giving me more freedoms and responsibilities, like being allowed to stay home alone. I've also recently discovered how awesome it is to have an allowance and get to choose how I spend my hard-earned money.Additionally, I've come to appreciate how transitioning into the teenage years has allowed me to develop my own unique identity outside of my family. When I was younger, I was pretty much a carbon copy of my parents and did whatever they told me without question. But now as a young adult, I'm starting to form my own opinions, discover my own interests, and develop my own moral beliefs. Sure, it's led to a few mother-daughter arguments here and there, but that's all part of the process of individualization.Another perk is that I've been able to grow closer with some of my friends as we've navigated this transition into adolescence together. Don't get me wrong, I still valued my childhood friendships. But there's something special about the bonds you develop when you can relate to one another about things like dealing with raging hormones, having crushes, and finding your place in the social hierarchy of middle school. My friends havebecome like a second family to me - we've created our own tight-knit community where we can escape the pressures of growing up, if only for a little while.Even though becoming a teenager has been incredibly overwhelming and complicated at times, I've discovered that it's actually an incredibly exciting period of transformation andself-discovery. 面临初中毕业规划高中生活英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Planning for High School: An Elementary Kid's PerspectiveWow, can you believe it? I'm about to finish middle school and move on to high school! It feels like just yesterday I was a little kid in elementary school, and now I'm practically agrown-up. Well, maybe not quite yet, but high school is definitely a big step towards becoming an adult.I have to admit, I'm feeling a mix of excitement and nerves about starting high school. On one hand, I can't wait for all the new experiences and opportunities that lie ahead. But on the other hand, high school is gonna be a huge change from what I'm used to. The buildings will be way bigger, the classes will be harder, and I'll be one of the youngest and smallest kids there instead of one of the oldest and biggest like in middle school. It's kind of intimidating to think about! My parents keep telling me that doing well in high school is super important for getting into a good college later on. That's adding a lot of pressure that I didn't really feel in middle school.Sure, I always tried my best, but now it feels like my entire future is riding on these next four years. No pressure, right? They've already started talking to me about planning for the long-term - picking an academic focus, considering career paths, mapping out an extracurricular schedule to make me a"well-rounded" applicant for top universities. Part of me wants to just live in the moment and not get too bogged down with future planning yet. But I know they're just trying to set me up for success, so I'm doing my best to listen. One of the biggest things I'm trying to figure out is what kind of courses and electives I should take. There are so many options - everything from advanced science and math to theatre and music to vocational training like auto repair or culinary arts. It's really hard to know what will be most beneficial or interesting to me at this stage. I've changed my mind about what I wanted to be about a million times already!Right now, I'm leaning towards taking a mix of challenging core classes and some electives that just seem fun and different, like art or dance. That way I can keep plenty of options open without completely loading myself down with nothing but academic intensives. Although maybe I should just bite the bulletand get the hardest STEM classes out of the way early? I really don't know.Another big decision is what extracurricular activities I want to pursue. In middle school, I dabbled in a few different clubs and sports, but nothing too serious. Now I've heard I need to specialize in just a few key areas to really pump up my resume. But how do I choose?! There are so many intriguing options and I don't want to miss out.Part of me wants to try out for basketball since I'm pretty tall. But then theatre club also sounds amazing since I love performing. Or maybe I should create my own community service club to demonstrate leadership? This is so much to think about!I guess I'll have to be strategic and map out a four-year plan, figuring out what commitments I can realistically juggle while leaving room for social time and just being a teenager. I don't want to overload myself, but I know I need to make these high school years count.Another aspect that has me equal parts excited and anxious is the whole new social scene I'll be navigating. Moving from a small middle school where everyone knew each other to a huge high school with kids coming from all over is going to be a bigadjustment. I'll have to start all over in terms of figuring out who I click with and what social crowd I identify most with.I just hope I can find "my people" - a group of friends who share my interests and sense of humor and who bring out the best in me. At the same time, I know I'll probably change and mature a ton over the course of high school, so my friend group could shift a few times too. As long as I stay true to myself, I trust that the right squad will emerge.Of course, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little interested in the dating scene too. I mean, I'm not looking to get into anything too serious just yet. But maybe a crush here or there could be fun? Although knowing my parents, they'll probably want to vet any potential love interests to make sure they're a "respectable" and "academically-motivated" influence. We'll see how that goes...Speaking of parents, I have a feeling mine are going to be a lot more hands-on during my high school experience than they were in middle school. They're already talking about going on campus tours, mapping out college visit road trips, andmeeting with my teachers and counselors regularly. As much of a pain as that sounds, I know they just want what's best for me. I'll have tofind a balance between keeping them looped in and gently establishing some healthy boundaries around my independence.Overall, there's just so much to look forward to and consider as I approach this exciting transition to high school. While it definitely feels intimidating, I'm trying to keep an open mind and a spirit of optimism. If I work hard, get involved, make smart choices, and rolling with the punches, I'm confident these next four years can set me up for amazing things.High school, here I come! Wish me luck!篇2Dreaming About High SchoolWow, can you believe it? I'm about to graduate from middle school! It feels like just yesterday I was a little kid starting 6th grade, and now I'm almost a high schooler. The idea of being a "high school student" sounds so grown up and exciting.Of course, I'm also a little nervous thinking about all the changes and new challenges ahead. High school is going to be so different from middle school in a lot of ways. The academics will be much harder, the school will be much bigger, and there will be so many more students. I've heard the homework load iscrazy in high school too. Just thinking about it makes my head spin a little! But I'm trying to look at it all as a great, big adventure. While parts of it will definitely be difficult, high school also opens up so many amazing opportunities that I can't wait to experience. I've spent a lot of time over the past few months really thinking about what I hope to get out of my high school years and how I want to make the most of them. One of the things I'm most excited about is getting to choose my own classes and start pursuing subjects that really interest me. In middle school, the curriculum was pretty much set for everyone. But in high school, you get to pick electives based on your interests and strengths. I've always loved creative writing, so I definitely plan on taking as many English classes as I can. I'm also really intrigued by psychology and might take a class on that. Who knows, it could turn into a career path for me someday!Of course, doing well academically is still the top priority. I know high school will require a lot of hard work and discipline to get good grades. But I'm going to give it my absolute best effort. Getting into a good college is the ultimate goal, so I'll have to stay focused and organized with my studies. I'm sure there willbe times when I'm stressed out and the workload feels overwhelming. That's when I'll lean on my parents, teachers, and friends for support and encouragement to power through.I'm also really looking forward to getting more involved in extracurricular activities. In middle school, I didn't join too many clubs or sports teams because of time constraints. But in high school, I want to try out all kinds of new things. I'd love to write for the school newspaper or literary magazine. Or maybe join the drama club and be part of the school's theatre productions. Sports-wise, I've always wanted to give track & field a shot since I'm pretty fast. And student government seems fascinating - a great way to practise leadership skills.Making friends is one part of high school that makes me a little anxious, if I'm being honest. I've had the same core group of buddies since elementary school, and the idea of having to put myself out there socially in a huge new environment is a bit intimidating. But I know it will be an important part of growing and becoming more independent. I'm sure if I just stay positive and keep an open mind, I'll be able to find my niche and connect with kids who have similar interests and values as me.Overall, I have such an exciting vision for what the next four years could look like. It's going to be a total rollercoaster - full ofamazing ups and tough downs - but that's all part of the high school experience, right? There will be late nights spent studying for tests, stressing over college applications, fighting with friends, and probably getting my heart broken for the first time too. But there will also be SO many incredible memories and meaningful milestones. Things like going to prom, getting my driver's license, landing my first job, picking a college, and finding my passion in life.No matter what challenges come my way, I'll do my very best to stay focused on my goals, believe in myself, and make the most of every opportunity. I'm feeling pretty darn ready to start this next incredible chapter. Wish me luck, high school...here I come!篇3Planning My High School LifeHi there! My name is Emily and I'm in 5th grade right now. Can you believe that in just a few years I'll be graduating from middle school and heading off to high school? It seems crazy to think about, but I know it will be here before I know it. That's why I've decided to start planning now for what my high school experience will be like.I have to admit, when I think about high school, I get a little nervous. It's going to be such a big change from elementary and middle school. The buildings will be huge, the classes will be harder, and there will be so many new people to meet. I've heard the workload really piles up in high school too. Just thinking about all the homework and projects makes me tired! But I also get really excited when I imagine all the great opportunities that high school will bring. For example, there are so many different clubs, sports teams, and other activities I can get involved in. I can't wait to try new things and find my passions outside of just academics. Who knows, maybe I'll discover I'm a star basketball player or an amazing artist or computer coder. The possibilities seem endless! One thing I definitely want to focus on in high school is developing really strong study habits. I know the classes will be much more challenging, so I'll need to stay on top of my work and manage my time well. Maybe I can find a study group to join or get a tutor if I'm struggling in a certain subject area. I've always been a pretty good student, but high school will require kicking it up a notch for sure.Speaking of academics, I've been giving some thought to what I might want to focus on and potentially pursue as a careerlater on. Right now, I'm really interested in science, especially biology and environmental studies. Learning about living things and how to protect our planet really fascinates me. But who knows, that could totally change once I get exposed to new subjects in high school. I might discover a love for literature, economics, or computer programming instead. I want to keep an open mind and explore as many areas as possible.Social life is another big aspect of high school I've been thinking about. I really hope I can find a good group of friends who share my values and interests. At the same time, I want to push myself to make new friends and get to know all kinds of different people. High school is a great opportunity to expand my social circle and learn more about other cultures and backgrounds. Maybe I'll join some cultural clubs or take a foreign language class.Of course, I know high school also comes with some potential challenges when it comes to friends and social situations. There's peer pressure to deal with, cliques and drama, figuring out who you can really trust, and just general insecurities that come with that age. I've heard rumors about things like bullying, drinking, and other risky behaviors that some high schoolers get involved in. That definitely concerns meand makes me nervous. But I have wonderful parents, teachers, and other mentors who I know will advise me and help me navigate any difficult social situations I might face. One thing I'm committed to in high school is staying true to myself and not losing sight of my values. I never want to sacrifice my principles or do something I'm uncomfortable with just to fit in or be popular. Developing a strong sense of self and standing up for what I believe in will be so important during those years. I'm sure I'll make some mistakes and poor choices here and there - everyone does. But overall, I want to hold myself to high standards academically, socially, and personally.Extracurricular activities and finding a good balance will also be key. I don't want to spread myself too thin and get overwhelmed, but I also want to make the most of the high school experience. Maybe I'll play a sport like soccer or tennis, join an academic club, and do some volunteer work. Or perform in the school musical and write for the newspaper. Getting exposure to all those different activities will not only make me well-rounded, but help me figure out what I'm really passionate about.High school is also when the college preparation kicks into high gear. I'll need to start thinking about where I want to apply, putting together a strong application, studying for entrance exams, and more. It definitely feels overwhelming now, but I know my parents, teachers, and college counselors will help me every step of the way. Getting into a good university is obviously very important, but I don't want to become so hyper-focused on that goal that I can't enjoy the high school experience itself.Overall, I know high school will be challenging in many ways, but I'm really excited for this next chapter. It will be a period of immense personal growth, self-discovery, and preparing for my future as an adult. By developing a strong work ethic, staying true to my values, getting involved in different activities, making wonderful new friends, and keeping an open mind, I'm confident it's going to be an incredible four years. While I'll definitely miss elementary and middle school, I can't wait to start creating my own unique high school memories. Bring it on!。

Text AChanges in Family LifeIn the book Future Shock by Toffler the writer describes the great changes in family life because of science and industry. In the past, when more Americans lived on farms, the typical family had many children. In a farm family, parents and their children often lived with grandparents. Often, too, uncles and aunts lived not far away. But when industry became more important than agriculture in American life, families became smaller. Industry needs workers who are ready and able to move off the land and to move again when they must.In the future, because of industrialization, a typical family will have to move even more often than now, so families will be even smaller. They may not have any children but only a man and a woman. A smaller number of families may raise children. These families may raise children as their main work, so that families that have no children can be free to move from job to job. What’s more, these child-raising families may adopt other people’s children, especially when some parents have problems in looking after these children’s lives and education. Usually a woman’s youngest child will be fifteen when she is forty-five. She may live another thirty-five years and take paid work until sixty. This important change in women’s lives has also changed women’s economic position. Even a few years ago most girls left school and took a full-time job. However, when they married, they usually left work at once and never came back to it. Today, the school leaving age is sixteen. Many girls stay at school after that age. As women marry younger, more married women will only leave work just before their first child is born, and many of them come back to work soon after.
