五年级上册核心第七课的作文英语全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Unit 7: A Day at the MuseumHi there! Today I'm going to tell you all about my super fun field trip to the museum last week. We went to learn about ancient Egypt and it was so cool!First thing in the morning, we all got on the big yellow school bus. My best friend Michael sat next to me and we were so excited! The drive took forever because the museum is all the way across town. But finally we made it and went inside. The museum was huge with really tall ceilings. The first thing we saw was this gigantic stone statue of a pharaoh. A pharaoh is like the king of ancient Egypt. This guy had a crazy headdress and a beard and looked pretty grumpy if you ask me. Our teacher Mrs. Marshall told us his name was Ramses II and he ruled Egypt a really long time ago over 3,000 years ago! Can you even imagine living that long ago? I can't!Next we went into this room all about mummies. I'll be honest, mummies totally freak me out. A mummy is a dead person wrapped up in cloth to preserve their body after they died. In the museum they had these Italian mummies from thousands of years ago just lying in glass cases. You could see their teeth and fingernails and everything! It was disgusting but also sort of fascinating at the same time. The coolest part was definitely the room about Egyptian gods. The ancient Egyptians worshipped hundreds of gods with animal heads and crazy powers. Like there was this one god named Anubis who had a jackal head. His job was to help guide souls to the afterlife. Then there was Bastet who had a cat head and was the goddess of protection. My personal favorite was Sobek, who had a crocodile head and was the god of power and fertility. Go figure, right? We also got to see real Egyptian artifacts like pottery, jewelry, weapons, and even fun things like toys and games kids played with back then. Did you know Egyptian kids played a game kind of like marbles over 4,000 years ago? Wild!In the afternoon after lunch they actually showed us how ancient Egyptians made mummies and wrapped them up. It was pretty gross but also fascinating. First they had this dummy bodyand removed all the organs and insides (except for the heart). Then they covered it in this weird sandy salt mixture for 40 days to dry it out. After that they wrapped it up tightly in linen cloth covered in sacred oils and resins. The cloth wrappings had a cool pattern with hieroglyphs and symbols. By the end it was a full mummy, totally preserved! After the mummy demo, we got to try writing our names in hieroglyphs which was fun but really hard. Hieroglyphs were the ancient Egyptian writing system with little picture symbols for words and sounds. My name looked ridiculous in hieroglyphs!Overall it was such an awesome field trip. I learned so much about the ancient Egyptian civilization and how they lived, worshipped, preserved the dead, and more. It's crazy to think about people living that long ago and how different yet similar they were to us today. I'll never forget my day at the museum!篇2Unit 7: A Bright FutureHi everyone! I'm super excited to tell you all about Unit 7 in our English textbook. It's all about jobs and careers, which is really cool because we get to learn about different kinds of work people do. I think it's important to start thinking about what wemight want to be when we grow up, even though we're still just kids. The unit starts off with a dialogue between two students named Li Ming and Mary. They're talking about what their parents do for work. Li Ming's dad is a police officer and his mom is a teacher. Mary's parents both work at a hospital - her dad is a doctor and her mom is a nurse. I thought it was neat learning those new vocabulary words for different jobs. After the dialogue, there's a reading passage all about careers. It talks about how some popular jobs for kids are things like becoming a doctor, teacher, athlete or scientist. But it also mentions more unique careers like being an architect who designs buildings, or a chef who cooks yummy food at restaurants. The reading was pretty long but I tried my best to understand it all.My favorite part was the next section which had pictures of all these crazy, fun-sounding jobs that I'd never even heard of before! Like being a video game designer, or working with animals as a zookeeper or veterinarian. There was even a person dressed up as a mascot - how cool would it be to be Mickey Mouse or Hello Kitty at Disneyland? I'm going to have a hard time picking just one career when I grow up.The grammar focus for this unit was on asking questions using "What" and talking about future plans with "going to." We practiced asking each other "What are you going to be when you grow up?" and giving responses like "I'm going to be a firefighter" or "I'm going to be a famous singer!" It was fun imagining our future dream jobs. For the writing section, we had to describe our dream career and explain why we want that job. I wrote about wanting to be a professional soccer player because I love sports and travelling to different countries. We also learned how to use phrases like "In the future..." and "When I grow up..." to talk about our aspirations.Overall, Unit 7 was one of my favorites so far. I feel like I learned a ton of new vocabulary about occupations, how to talk about the future, and got to explore different career possibilities.A few of my classmates even changed their minds about what they want to be after learning about all the cool jobs in this unit!I can't wait to study the next unit, but in the meantime I'm going to keep dreaming big about my future career. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be a famous actor or scientist inventing awesome new things! The possibilities are endless when you're akid. Unit 7 taught me that I can be whatever I want to be if I work really hard for it. Thanks for reading, and study hard!篇3Unit 7: A Trip to the MuseumHi everyone! Today I'm going to tell you all about my really cool field trip to the museum last week. We went to the Natural History Museum in the city and it was so much fun! I love learning about science and nature, so this was the perfect place for me.First, we went to the dinosaur exhibit. There were huge dinosaur skeletons and fossils everywhere! I saw a T-Rex skeleton that was taller than my house. It had massive teeth and claws. I definitely wouldn't want to run into that guy in real life! There were also lots of other dinosaurs like Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and Brachiosaurus. I learned that Brachiosaurus was one of the biggest dinosaurs ever and it could reach the tops of trees. How crazy is that?Next, we went to the gemstone room. It was filled with all sorts of beautiful rocks, minerals, and crystals from around the world. My favorite was the giant amethyst geode - it was bright purple and sparkling. There were also rubies, emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds. Some of the gems were even glowing under special lights! I thought they all looked like treasures from a pirate ship. After that, we visited the ocean life hall. There were huge whale skeletons hanging from the ceilings. We also saw replicas of giant squids, sharks, and other scary sea creatures. But my favorite was the living coral reef exhibit. It had a massive tank filled with bright, colorful corals and tropical fish swimming all around. The fish looked like animated characters with their crazy patterns and fins. I wished I could dive right into that tank! The ancient Egypt section was really cool too. There were actual mummies and sarcophaguses from thousands of years ago. Some of the coffins had hieroglyphs and paintings all over them. I tried to decode the hieroglyphs but they were too hard! There were also statues of pharaohs, gods, and sphinxes. We even got to go inside a recreated Egyptian tomb - it was dark and a little spooky but really neat. Finally, we ended our trip at the space exhibit. We saw meteorites, pieces of the moon, and all kinds of satellites and spacecraft. I even got to try on a real spacesuit - it was super heavy! The best part was the planetarium show. We got to lie back and watch the stars, galaxies, and planets projected allaround us on the dome ceiling. It felt like we were blasting off into outer space. I can't wait to be an astronaut someday!I had such an awesome time at the museum. I learned so many fascinating things about dinosaurs, gems, ocean life, ancient Egypt, and outer space. My brain is full of new knowledge and facts! I'm already looking forward to our next big field trip. Where should we go - the art museum, the history museum, or the science center? Let me know what you think! Thanks for reading, friends!篇4The Magical Journey of English ClassWow, English class is so cool! I never thought learning another language could be this fun. Mrs. Robertson makes it feel like we're going on awesome adventures instead of just sitting at our desks. Today we started the 7th lesson in our English textbook and it was amazing! The lesson was all about travelling to different countries. We learned how to say things like "airport", "suitcase", "passport" and "souvenir" in English. It's crazy how many new words there are to remember! But Mrs. Robertson has some really neat tricks to help us.First, she showed us pictures of all the travel stuff on the big screen. Then she said the English words while pointing at the pictures. We had to repeat after her a bunch of times. It was kind of like a fun little game! Who doesn't love shouting out crazy words? After that, she played videos of kids going on vacation. We got to see them at the airport, on the airplane, arriving in new countries, and buying souvenirs. It was so exciting! The videos made me want to travel the world too.The best part was when Mrs. Robertson split us into groups and gave us fantasy travel brochures. Each group got a different pretend trip, like a safari in Africa or hiking the Andes mountains. My group's trip was to visit the Great Pyramids in Egypt! How cool is that?We had to use all the new vocabulary words from the lesson to describe our imaginary vacation. My friend Jada and I worked together to make our Egypt travel brochure. We found pictures online of the pyramids, the Sphinx, camels, hieroglyphics, and ancient treasures. Then we wrote all about what you would see, do, eat, and buy on the trip.I got to use words like "wonder", "marvel", "unearth", and "mystifying" when I was describing the Great Pyramids andpharaoh tombs. Oooh, it gave me chills just writing about exploring the secrets of Ancient Egypt! I told Jada that we absolutely have to go on an archaeological adventure like that when we grow up.At the end, each group presented their travel brochure to the class like we were tour guides. We took turns talking about the different sights, activities, and foods from our made-up vacations. Josh's group even dressed up with little grass skirts and leis for their Hawaiian luau trip! We all cracked up laughing at their hula dancing.I think I did a pretty good job with my Egypt brochure presentation. Mrs. Robertson said my English pronunciation was muy excellente! That's how you say "very excellent" in Spanish, another language I want to learn next. Maybe I'll be an international explorer who knows everywhere's native tongue. How incredibly cool would that be?This English lesson made me feel like a well-traveled adventurer instead of just a fifth grader stuck in classroom. I can't wait to see what amazing journeys we go on next! Maybe we'll get to be astronauts exploring distant planets and galaxies. Or brave knights slaying dragons and rescuing princesses fromtowers. The possibilities are endless when you're learning English with Mrs. Robertson. I'll be fluent before I know it!篇5Unit 7: A Fun TripOh boy, I'm so excited to tell you all about Unit 7 in our English textbook! This unit was all about going on trips and it was super fun learning about different places people can visit. Get ready for an awesome ride through my notes! It started off with a really cool story called "The Camping Trip". It was about a family who went camping in the mountains for their summer vacation. I loved reading about how they set up their tent, went hiking to see the forest and animals, and made s'mores over the campfire at night. Camping seems like such an adventure! My favorite part was when the little brother got scared at night because he thought he heard a bear outside the tent. But it was just a rabbit making funny noises. Phew! After the story, we learned a bunch of new vocabulary words related to traveling and outdoor activities. Words like "hiking", "campsite", "scenic", and "backpack". My teacher had us pantomime some of the words which was really silly but helped me remember them. Like when I pretended to roast amarshmallow over an imaginary fire! We also read about different types of accommodations people can stay in like hotels, motels, cabins, and campgrounds. I didn't even know what a motel was before this unit. The grammar focus was all about asking and giving directions. We learned how to say things like "Go straight ahead and turn left at the light" or "The museum is across from the park". We did some fun role-plays where we pretended to be giving tourists directions around our town. I got to use fun props like maps and stuffed animals. Giving clear directions is an important skill for getting around on trips! My favorite part of the whole unit was when we learned about famous landmarks and tourist attractions from all over the world. From the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the Great Pyramids in Egypt to the Taj Mahal in India - seeing all the pictures got me so excited to travel when I'm older! We even learned some interesting facts, like how the Eiffel Tower is made of enough iron to build 10,000 humans! Isn't that wild? I made a vision board of all the cool places I want to visit one day.For our unit project, we had to work in small groups and research a place we'd want to go on a class trip. My group picked the Grand Canyon in Arizona. We made a whole brochure withmaps, recommended activities and hikes, information about the weather and wildlife, and even restaurant suggestions. Presenting our brochure to the class was nerve-wracking but we rocked it!Learning about travel in Unit 7 was such an epic adventure. It opened my eyes to how many fascinating places there are out there in the world just waiting to be explored. Who knows, maybe I'll grow up to be a world traveler or tour guide someday! All I know is that this unit made me want to pack my bags and head out to create some amazing travel memories. The spirit of wanderlust is alive and well in this fifth grader!篇6Unit 7 - A Trip to the Science MuseumHey there! It's me again, ready to tell you all about the super cool trip we took to the science museum for Unit 7 of our English class. I was so pumped when Ms. Johnson announced we'd be going on a field trip. Field trips are the best because you get to learn stuff, but in a fun way outside of the classroom. Double win!The day of the trip, we all piled onto the big yellow school bus after morning recess. I made sure to snag a seat next to mybest bud Jacob. We were chattering away about all the awesome exhibits we wanted to see at the museum. Jacob really likes dinosaurs, so he was hoping they'd have some cool dinosaur skeletons or fossils. I was most excited about the space section because space is just so fascinating to me.When we finally arrived, the museum seemed ginormous! The building looked like a huge silver sphere, which I thought was a pretty neat shape for a museum. Ms. Johnson reminded us to stay with our buddies, and we headed inside. Let me tell you, it smelled like a wonderful mix of popcorn from the snack bar and that classic museum smell - kind of like really old books. The first exhibit we saw was all about the human body. There were these gigantic models of human skeletons and organs that towered over us. We even got to walk through an artery tunnel that showed how blood flows. My favorite was the muscle table where you could move the bones to see how the muscles work for different motions. I tried doing some bodybuilder poses and flexing the arm muscles on the table. Olivia couldn't stop laughing at me!Next up was the dinosaur dig area that Jacob had been looking forward to. They had these sandy pits set up with hidden replica fossils for us to excavate using brushes and tools. Jacoband I worked together to slowly uncover a Triceratops skull! We felt just like real paleontologists. I have to admit the dinosaurs were pretty cool, even though space is more my thing.Speaking of space, that was our next stop - the Cosmic Wonders exhibit. This part of the museum was dimly lit with blue lighting that made you feel like you had been transported into deep space. There were huge screens projecting breathtaking imagery from the Hubble telescope of nebulae swirling with vibrant colors. In the middle was a gigantic model of the solar system that slowly rotated, showing all of the planets orbiting the sun. I could have stayed in there all day just staring up in awe.We also got to experience a simulated space shuttle launch and walk through a model of the International Space Station. They even had an area where you could try space foods like the freeze-dried ice cream that the astronauts eat! It tasted a bit lackluster compared to normal ice cream, but I get why they need food that doesn't make a mess in zero gravity. After the space stuff, we wandered through some other awesome galleries about weather, engineering, electricity, and even one about sports science. I had no idea there was so much physics involved in throwing a baseball or swinging a golf club. We got to test out our pitching and batting skills against digitalradar displays that tracked the angles and velocities. Zach was a total pro at that one!As we were getting ready to leave, we stopped in the museum gift shop to snag some souvenirs. I knew my parents would want one of those overpriced souvenir pencils, but I splurged and got a Mars rover roverPlease duplicate this window ore with a remote control that could move around. Jacob got some dinosaur fossils made of edible chocolate. Yum!On the bus ride back to school, everyone was chattering excitedly about their favorite museum exhibits. I could hardly wait to tell my parents about all the amazing things I saw and experienced on our field trip to the science museum. Hands down, it was one of the most fun and educational days I've ever had. I've already been bugging Ms. Johnson about taking us back again soon!Well, that's my museum adventure for Unit 7 of English class. Let me know if you have any other burning questions about black holes, dinosaurs, or human biology. I'm practically an expert now after our field trip! Just kidding...but I did learn a whole lot. Can't wait for our next unit!。

Now follow the steps and work out the summary of the passage.
Now you have 10 minutes to write the summary
(see Global implications of patent law variation)
Step 2 Writing
Write in your own words 1)Paraphrase, faithful to the author’s intended meaning; 2) Compressing: omit the details, reduce the examples, simplify the descriptions, eliminate all repetitions; 3) Condensing and grasping the main idea; 4) Follow the logical order of the original, if possible; 5) Use fewer words—about 1/3 or 1/4 as long as the original passage
Step 3 Revising
Compare
the summary to the original article to make sure you have included all the important points Double check to make sure you have paraphrased the material accurately. Proofread for complete sentences, correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. The final version should be a unified, complete, and coherent whole.
2. Features of a good summary
1) self-contained/complete; 2) faithful to the original, paraphrased; 3) brief, without any unnecessary details; 4) objective, without any of your opinion.
Model Answer
In his paper “Global Implications of Patent Law Variation,” Koji Suzuki (1991) states that lack of consistency in the world’s patent laws is a serious problem. In most of the world, patent ownership is given to the inventor that is first to file for a patent. However, the United States maintains a first-to-invent policy. As a result, patent ownership is not recognized in a consistent way, which can result in economic problems. Meanwhile, inconsistent patent law might cause international tension. Many countries believe they are placed at a disadvantage. Meanwhile, the fact that the United States does not recognize patent ownership in other countries violates the Paris Convention on Industrial Properties, which has prompted the World Intellectual Properties Organization(WIPO) to push the United States to review its existing patent law principles.
Step 1 Reading
Read the passage through carefully to get the gist of it: skim and scan Decide what part of the passage is essential and what parts are comparatively unimportant and can be omitted without much loss.
Unit 7
Reporting from Other Sources: Summary
Part I Summary
1. What is a summary?
A summary is a shortened/brief version of a text. It contains the main points in the text and is written in your own words A reproduction of the contents of the original with as few words as possible A generalized expression of the gist of the author’s exact and essential meaning, without making any interpretation or comment
Part II
Learn to distinguish between main and subsidiary information.
Final note: Avoid List Summary
List summaries: simply listing the author’s various points but fail to focus those points around any larger overall claim Example: The author says many different things about his subject. First he says.…Then he makes the point that…. In addition he says…. And then he writes…. Also he shows that…. And then he says….

Reading Writing Revising
Suppose you are asked to write a summary of the following passage. Now read it and think about what you will do ( read the global implications and try to understand the passage…)
How to decide the important parts of a passage?
1) If you want to save time, using highlighters (to highlight the important parts and supporting evidence)
