cats over dogs (completed version)
Cats over Dogs
Cats over DogsFrom what I saw in my friend’s home, I found some difference between dogs and cats .and i got a conclusion that cats over dogs. Some day, a strange man opened the front door suddenly when we were playing games. Without thinking, my friend’s dog rushed to that man and barked at him loudly, it happened so fast that we can’t stop the dog barking. In the end, we known the man is my friend’s uncle who was just came back from America.what an embarrassed situation!According to my experience, I notice that cats are much better than dogs ,because cats are smarter and more polite, moreover they need less care. Cats would like to keep close to people who is willing to play with them or give them food, cats are more polite than dogs. However, compared to cats, dogs have a worse politeness. What’s more, indoor dogs need to be walked every dayto make them more healthy and calmer. Once you forget to walked the dogs, they will become annoyed. Dogs are hard to keep clean with some louses under their hair.dogs are unpredictable about when they need to go to the bathroom, because it seems like dirty all the time. When it comes to the cats, things get easier and problems are dissloved.indoor cats have a narrow possibility to walk through mud puddles and rolling around on people’s laws.they are usually snoozed themselves on the balcony very quitely.when it get dirty, they will clean themselves.in addition, the amountof their essential foodstuff is very little, they can feed themselves by scratch some bad mouse. In summary, cats make better pets than Dogs, because they are smarter, polite , friendly, and they need less care. Compared the advantages and disadvantages, to keep indoor cats will be our best choice!。

八年级英语申请照顾流浪猫狗的作文
八年级英语申请照顾流浪猫狗的作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Caring for Stray Cats and Dogs: A Middle School Student's PleaHi there! My name is Alex, and I'm a student in the 8th grade. I'm writing to you today because I'm really concerned about the stray cats and dogs in our community. I know some people think they're just a nuisance, but to me, they're living beings that deserve our compassion and help.Have you ever seen a stray dog or cat wandering the streets, looking篇2Caring for Stray Cats and Dogs: A Plea from an 8th GraderHave you ever seen a skinny, mangy dog wandering the streets looking for food scraps? Or a litter of tiny kittens huddled together in a cardboard box, mewing frantically for their mother? If so, you've witnessed just a small glimpse of the stray animal problem that exists in cities and towns all across the world. As an 8th grader, I may be young, but I'm old enough to understand that letting cats and dogs live on the streets is cruel and causes a lot of suffering. These poor animals didn't choose to be homeless - they were abandoned, lost, or born into stray litters. They deserve kindness and care, just like the pets living in our homes. That's why I'm writing this essay - to raise awareness about stray cats and dogs and to convince the adults to do more to help them. I hope to change some minds and open some hearts to the plight of these poor creatures. The Realities of Life on the StreetLet me start by painting a picture of what life is really like for a stray dog or cat trying to survive on the mean streets:They never know where their next meal is coming from. While some kind souls leave out scraps, strays mostly have to rummage through trash cans and dumpsters for food, eating whatever disgusting leftovers they can find. This malnutrition leads to all sorts of health problems. They lack safe, warm shelters. Instead of cozy beds, strays are exposed to the harsh elements - baking in the hot sun, shivering in the bitter cold, getting soaked in downpours. Theydesperately seek refuge in abandoned buildings, cardboard boxes, or wherever else they can. They are vulnerable to cruelty, injuries, and diseases. Strays face constant dangers like getting hit by vehicles, attacked by other animals, contracting illnesses, or being tormented by heartless humans. Cuts, infections, parasites, and more are commonplace without veterinary care. They live in constant fear and stress. Imagine how terrifying it would be having to constantly watch your back, not knowing if or when you'll be hurt or where you'll find food and shelter. This unending anxiety takes a huge mental toll on stray animals. No animal should have to endure these miserable conditions and suffer such hardships just trying to stay alive each day. It's heartbreaking to even think about. Why We Need to Step UpAllowing strays to multiply out of control creates serious public health and safety risks that impact entire communities, not just the animals themselves. Here are some of the major issues that result from neglecting stray cat and dog populations:Spread of rabies and other diseases: Strays often carry rabies, parvo, and other sicknesses that can infect humans and petsthrough bites or contact with their waste. Rabies in particular is almost always fatal without treatment.Dog attacks and public safety hazards: Stray dogs, especially those in packs, can be aggressive and have been known to attack people, especially children. Strays also create messes by defecating on streets, in parks, and in yards.Property damage: Stray cats especially like to claw at buildings, cars, and other property, causing a lot of cosmetic and even structural damage that's costly to repair. Their constant meowing and fighting is also a major noise disturbance. So as you can see, out-of-control stray populations don't just mean suffering for the animals. They negatively impact human communities too through public dangers and financial costs. It's in everybody's interest to address this growing problem head on.What We Can Do to HelpSimply rounding up strays and euthanizing them is NOT the solution. That would just be trading one form of cruelty for another. Instead, there are smart, humane ways we can reduce stray populations and improve life for those animals still on the streets:Low-cost spay/neuter clinics: The number one way to control stray populations over time is making spay/neuter services affordable for all pet owners and trap/neuter/release programs for existing strays. This stops the cycle of litters being born into homelessness.Provide food, shelters, and medical care: Even as we work to reduce stray numbers, we need to have basic provisions like feed stations, temporary housing, and mobile veterinary clinics. This allows strays to survive while preventing sickness and aggression caused by lack of resources.Promote adoption services: Strays who are rescued should go through shelters and adoption services to find them permanent, loving homes rather than remaining on the streets. More awareness is needed about pet adoption.Crack down on abandonment and cruelty: Stricter enforcement and harsher penalties for people who abandon domestic pets or are cruel to strays would help a lot too. This dissuades the behavior that creates homeless animals in the first place. With some modest investment and community-wide commitment, we could see stray populations stabilize and eventually decline through natural processes once the cycles ofreproduction and abandonment are broken. More importantly, fewer animals would have to suffer the nightmare of life on the streets. How You Can Get InvolvedEven though we're just kids, there's plenty we students can do to raise awareness and funds to help stray cats and dogs in our local communities. Here are some ideas that don't require any money:Do chores or odd jobs around the neighborhood to collect donationsOrganize donations drives for pet food, toys, cleaning supplies for sheltersCreate signs, posters, videos, social media posts to educate othersStart petitions for local officials to increase funding for stray animal programsVolunteer to hand out literature about adoption eventsOffer to help walk, bathe, or play with dogs and cats at sheltersEncourage local businesses to sponsor spay/neuter clinicsAny of us can make a difference, no matter how small the action may seem. Collectively, our voices and efforts as young people can really make an impact for these suffering animals who can't speak up for themselves. In Conclusion: Be Their VoiceThe stray cat and dog crisis happening in our neighborhoods, towns, and cities is simply heartbreaking and unacceptable. Just because they don't have homes doesn't mean they deserve to go hungry, be abused, or endure terrible living conditions. These animals need us to be their voice and to stand up for their humane treatment. From providing food, shelter and medical care to promoting affordable spay/neuter services and cracking down on abandonment, there are so many ways we can improve life for strays today while working to reduce their populationslong-term. No effort is too small when it comes to alleviating the suffering of these innocent creature. So I urge everyone - students, parents, citizens of all ages - to get educated on this issue and get involved with your local shelters, rescues, and animal welfare organizations. Be their heroes. Be their voice. Because every cat and dog deserves tohave a loving home and to live a life free of fear, pain, and misery. We owe it to our four-legged friends in need to step up and take action. Who's with me?篇3Title: A Plea to Care for the Furry Friends in NeedHey there! My name is Emily, and I'm an 8th grader at Oakwood Middle School. Today, I want to talk to you about something that's been on my mind for a while now – the issue of stray cats and dogs in our community.I remember the day when I first noticed a scruffy-looking dog roaming around our neighborhood. At first, I thought it might belong to someone and had just gotten loose. But as days went by, I realized that this poor pup was all alone, scavenging for food and shelter wherever it could find. It broke my heart to see such a friendly creature living on the streets, without a loving home or someone to care for it.That's when I started researching about the problem of stray animals, and I was shocked to learn just how widespread it is. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Crueltyto Animals (ASPCA), there are around 70 million stray cats and dogs in the United States alone! That's a staggering number, and it's not just a problem in big cities – it affects small towns and rural areas too.I soon discovered that these animals often face numerous challenges and hardships. They're at risk of getting hit by cars, contracting diseases, or even being mistreated by cruel individuals. Many of them struggle to find enough food and water, and they're constantly exposed to the elements, whether it's scorching summer heat or freezing winter cold. But it's not just the animals that suffer – their presence can also cause problems for our community. Stray dogs can become aggressive or territorial, posing a potential threat to people and other pets. Feral cat colonies can spread diseases and create unsanitary conditions. And let's not forget the heartbreaking sight of seeing these poor creatures wandering the streets, hungry and scared. That's why I'm writing to you today – to propose a solution that could make a real difference in the lives of these animals and in our community as a whole.I believe we should establish a program to care for stray cats and dogs in our area. This program could involve setting up ashelter or rescue center where these animals can receive proper medical attention, food, and shelter. We could also organize regular spay and neuter clinics to help control the stray population in a humane way.But this program wouldn't just benefit the animals – it would also benefit our community. By providing a safe and controlled environment for these strays, we could reduce the risks associated with their presence on our streets. It would also help to educate people about the importance of responsible pet ownership and the need to spay and neuter their pets.I know what you might be thinking – "But Emily, setting up a program like this would be expensive and time-consuming!" And you're right, it would require a lot of resources and effort. But I truly believe that it's worth it, not just for the animals, but for all of us.Imagine a world where no animal has to suffer on the streets, where every furry friend has a warm bed and a full belly. Imagine a community where children can play outside without fear of encountering aggressive strays, and where our neighborhoods are clean and safe.I'm not saying it would be easy, but I believe that together, we can make a difference. We could organize fundraisers, rallies, and awareness campaigns to raise money and support for this cause. We could reach out to local businesses and organizations for sponsorships and donations. And most importantly, we could come together as a community, united by our love for animals and our desire to make our town a better place.I know I'm just a kid, but I've learned that age doesn't matter when it comes to making a positive change. If we all work together, regardless of how old we are, we can achieve amazing things. So, what do you say? Will you join me in this mission to care for the stray cats and dogs in our community? Together, we can create a brighter future for these innocent animals and for ourselves. Let's show the world that our town is a place where compassion and kindness reign supreme.Thank you for taking the time to read my plea. I hope you'll consider supporting this cause and joining me in making a difference, one furry friend at a time.Sincerely,Emily篇4Taking Care of Stray Cats and DogsHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm in 8th grade. Today I want to talk to you about something that's really important to me - taking care of stray cats and dogs. You've probably seen some of them around your neighborhood or town. Those poor animals living on the streets without a home or anyone to care for them. It makes me really sad to think about how difficult their lives must be.I've always loved animals ever since I was a little kid. My parents got me a puppy for my 5th birthday and I named him Buddy. He's been my best friend ever since. I can't imagine my life without a furry companion by my side. Whenever I'm feeling down, just petting Buddy and playing fetch with him cheers me right up. Animals bring so much joy, love and fun into our lives. But not all animals are as lucky as Buddy to have a loving family to care for them. There are millions of stray cats and dogs out there struggling to survive on the streets. They have to search through garbage for food scraps, find shelter from the cold and rain wherever they can, and protect themselves from mean people or other animals that might want to hurt them. Can you imagine having to live like that? No safe place to call home, never knowing when your next meal will be. It's a really hard life. And you know what's really sad? A lot of those stray animals used to have owners at one point who abandoned or mistreated them. How could anyone do that to a sweet, loving pet? They're part of the family! Buddy means the world to me. I would never, ever abandon him. Pets are living creatures who deserve to be cared for, not tossed out like trash when the owners get bored of them or they cause too much trouble.Another big problem is pets getting lost and running away from home without any identification. Then they can't find their way back to their families. That's why it's so important for all pet owners to make sure their furry friends have collars with ID tags on them. And getting them microchipped is a great idea too, just in case.So now you know how terrible life is for stray animals and some of the main reasons why they end up homeless in the first place. But what can we do to help them? I'm really glad you asked!First of all, if you see a stray cat or dog, be very careful around it. While most of them are probably friendly, some may be scared and act defensively if they feel threatened, especially if they're protecting babies. It's best to avoid approaching ortouching any strays yourself. Instead, contact your local animal control officers and they can come humanely capture the animal. There are also great animal rescue organizations you can get involved with to help strays. They take in homeless pets, provide them with food, shelter and medical care, and try to find them new forever homes. You can volunteer to help care for the animals, spread awareness about pet adoption, or even donate money, pet supplies or your old toys and blankets to shelters.Speaking of adoption, that's definitely the best way to help stray animals! If your family is ready for a new furry addition, I really encourage you to adopt from a shelter rather than buying from a pet store or breeder. Those places often get their animals from terrible puppy mills. But shelters are filled with so many loving cats and dogs who just want to find their forever families. Giving one of them a new home is truly life-saving.If you already have a pet at home, make sure to always keep them safe and secure. Never let them roam around unsupervised where they could get lost or hurt. Get them proper ID tags and consider microchipping. And please, please never abandon your pet if you can't keep them anymore for some reason. There are no-kill shelters and rescue groups that can take them in instead. Also, always adopt from responsible sources and avoid supporting cruel puppy mills at all costs. Do lots of research first on finding an ethical, humane breeder. But again, I really encourage adopting from shelters first to help stray animals in need. One more way to help is to start your own neighborhood program to provide food, water and simple shelters for stray cats and dogs in your area while they await rescue. You can make that one of your chores and get other kids involved too! Just be sure not to approach or try to capture the animals yourself without professional help. Finally, spread the word however you can to raise awareness about pet overpopulation and the importance ofspaying/neutering, ID tags, microchips and adoption. Maybe you could give a presentation at school, pass out flyers, or use social media to share information. Getting the entire community involved is so important for helping stray animals get off the streets. So in summary, here are some of the key ways you can help stray cats and dogs:Contact animal control to humanely capture strays, don't approach them yourselfVolunteer, donate or raise funds for local rescue sheltersAdopt pets from shelters instead of breeders or pet storesKeep your own pets safe at home with proper ID and secure environmentsAvoid supporting puppy mills, do research to find responsible breedersSet up neighborhood feeding stations and shelters for strays while awaiting rescueSpread awareness about pet overpopulation, ID'ing pets, and the importance of adoptionStray animals are such an important issue to me because they're innocent creatures who deserve loving homes, not lives of struggle and hardship on the streets. Cats and dogs give us so much love, joy and companionship. The least we can do is return that kindness by providing care and safe shelter for those without families of their own.I really hope this essay has helped open your eyes to what stray animals go through and the many ways we can all work together as a community to help them. Remember, a simple act of compassion and kindness can make a huge difference in the life of a homeless pet. So let's do everything we can to get thesesweet fur babies off the streets and into the loving forever homes they deserve!篇5Caring for Stray Cats and Dogs: A Plea from an 8th GraderHi everyone! My name is Jamie and I'm an 8th grader at Lincoln Middle School. I'm here today to talk to you about something that's really important to me - caring for stray cats and dogs in our community. You've probably seen them around before - scraggly cats rummaging through trash cans or packs of skinny, mangey dogs roaming the streets. Maybe you feel bad for them, but you just keep walking and try not to think about it. I get it, it's an unpleasant sight and an even more unpleasant thought. But have you ever really stopped to consider what life is like for those poor animals?Strays face constant篇6Taking Care of Stray Cats and DogsHello everyone! My name is Lily, and I am in the 8th grade. Today, I want to talk to you about something really important - taking care of stray cats and dogs. I believe that we can make a big difference in their lives!Have you ever seen a stray cat or dog wandering around your neighborhood? I have, and it made me feel really sad. These poor animals don't have a warm and loving home like we do. But guess what? We can help them!Firstly, we can start by providing food and water for stray animals. We can keep some extra bowls of water and food outside our houses. This way, when the cats and dogs come around, they will have something to eat and drink. It's a small act of kindness that can make a big impact on their lives.Secondly, we can create shelters for them. We can build small houses or use old boxes to make cozy shelters where they can stay safe and protected from bad weather. These shelters will provide them with a warm place to sleep and rest.Thirdly, we can organize adoption drives. We can work with animal shelters or local rescue organizations to find loving homes for these stray animals. We can spread the word in our community and encourage people to adopt instead of buyingpets. Adopting a stray cat or dog not only gives them a home but also saves a life! Moreover, we can educate people about responsible pet ownership. Many people abandon their pets because they don't know how to take care of them properly. We can create posters or give presentations at school to teach others about the importance of vaccinations, spaying and neutering, and providing regular check-ups for their pets. By educating others, we can prevent more animals from becoming strays.Last but not least, we can volunteer at animal shelters or rescue organizations. We can spend our free time playing with the animals, grooming them, or taking them for walks. Our love and attention can make them feel happy and loved. In conclusion, we can all play a part in taking care of stray cats and dogs. By providing food and water, creating shelters, organizing adoption drives, educating others, and volunteering, we can make a difference in their lives. Remember, even the smallest act of kindness can bring a wagging tail or a purring meow. Let's be the voice for these voiceless creatures and show them that they are not alone. Together, we can make this world a better place for all animals!Thank you for reading my essay. Let's go out there and make a difference!。

Indoor cats do not need a person to exercise them but dogs do.Dogs needto be walked every day so that they can be healthy and calmer. Cats do not depend on a person for exercise because cats exercise on their own. Although both pets need their exercise, cats manage on their own. Therefore, cats nee less attention than dogs.

Finally, cats are easier to potty-trained than dogs.Dogs are unpredictable about when they need to go to the bathroom, so they need to be taken outside on a regular basis. Cats do not have this problem because they are born potty-trained. All you have to do is place kittens into a litter box, and when time comes, they will continue to use this litter box virtually without help. Cats are simply more independent than dogs.

(Illust are easier to keep clean than dogs. For instance, when dogs are taken for a walk, they usually do not come back as clean as when they left. Dogs will get dirty by walking through mud puddles and rolling around on people’s lawns. Cats do not need to be taken on walks , so they are not as dirty as dogs. When dogs get dirty, they need to be given a bath, and when cats get dirty, they clean themselves. Therefore, cats have a better sense of hygiene than dogs do.

Thesis statement
After the North earthquake in Los Angels a few years ago, I discovered something interesting about my pets. My cats took care of themselves by hiding in places where things could not fall on them, and they ate whatever food they could find. On the other hand, my dog was crying and needed to be taken care of , He still needed me to feed him and take him for a walk. From my experience , I saw that indoor cats make better pets than indoor dogs because cats do not need to be exercised , they clean themselves, and they are born potty-trained.

So-what
Indoor cats make better pets than indoor dogs because cats don’t need to be exercised, they clean themselves, and they‘re born potty-trained. Think about these things the next time you’re considering owning a pet. Unless you don’t have enough to do in your life already, a cat should be your choice.
