2 Teaching process

Step 1 warm up

Ask four groups students in the classroom and ask the students

Who is taller? Who is thinner? Who has longer hair.

Write the answers on the blackboard

Lucy is taller than Lily

Mike is thinner than Jack

Grace has longer hair than Mary

Step2 teaching the grammar

形容词和副词的比较级：是两者之间进行比较

形容词和副词比较级的变化规则：

A：规则变化

（1）一般情况下加er high--higher tall--taller

（2）以m字母结尾的加r fire-firer late-later

（3）以辅音字母加y变y为i+er early -earlier happy-happier （4）以重读闭音节结尾的双写末尾字母+er big-bigger thin-thinner B：不规则变化

Good/well-better bad/ill-worse

Many/much-more little-less for- farther

主型结构：主+v+adj/adv的比较级+than+其它

注意：形容词比较级的关键词是than
