1My Hometown ShenyangHi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I was born and raised in Shenyang, a big city in the northeast part of China. Today I want to tell you all about my amazing hometown!Shenyang is the capital of Liaoning Province. It has a really long history dating back over 2,300 years. A loooong time ago, it used to be the capital of the Qing Dynasty which ruled China for almost 300 years! Because of this important background, Shenyang has tons of incredible historical sites and cultural relics leftover from ancient times. One of the coolest places in Shenyang is the Mukden Palace. This giant palace complex used to be where the Qing emperors lived a few centuries ago. It has over 300 rooms and covers a huge area - it's like a small city inside the city! My favorite part is the pretty gardens with all the colorful flowers and decorativerocks. I also really like the Qing dynasty outfits and weapons you can see in the museums there. So awesome!Another must-see is the Zhaoling Tomb. This is where one of the early Qing emperors and his empresses are buried underground. Above ground there are huge stone sculptures of animals, officials, and warriors guarding the tomb. My dad says the underground palace is even more amazing but you need special permission to go inside. Maybe I'll get to sneak a peek when I'm older! If you like wide open spaces, Shenyang has a ton of parks perfect for having picnics, flying kites, or just running around. Shenyang People's Park is centrally located and has an amusement park inside. My favorite though is Qingshui Park because it has a big lake where you can go boating in the summer. In the winter when it freezes over, we go ice skating! The ice is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom.Speaking of winter, Shenyang gets super cold and we have loooong freezing winters. Last year we got over 6 feet of snow! That's taller than me. The snow gets piled up so high on the sides of roads that all you can see are the tops of cars driving by! Don't worry though, we're used to the harsh winters here. We justbundle up in our biggest, puffiest jackets and keep on going about our days.Another thing Shenyang is famous for is the food! We have the most incredible bread products ever. My favorite is the shaobing, which is a sesame seed-crusted baked pie stuffed with all sorts of yummy fillings like beef, vegetables, or even sugary sweet fillings. I could honestly eat 10 of them in one sitting, no problem. We also have these crispy, sugary dough twists called youxian that are addictively delicious. Eating those with a cup of hot soybean milk is the perfect breakfast when it's freezing outside. For regular meals, Shenyang has a cool mix of northeasternChinese cuisine along with Korean and Manchurian influences from the ethnic groups that live here. Lots of hearty stews, dumplings, and noodle dishes that warm you right up. My mom always complains the food here is too salty and oily for her taste, but I love it!Overall, Shenyang is such an awesome city with a perfect blend of ancient history, modern life, yummy food, and crazy winters. We have so much fun stuff to see and do all year round. If you ever get a chance to visit, I promise you won't bedisappointed! Let me know if you need a local tour guide to show you around. I'll be happy to bring you to all the best spots!篇2My Hometown ShenyangHi, my name is Xiaoming, and I'm going to tell you all about my awesome hometown, Shenyang! Shenyang is the biggest city in Northeast China, and it's super cool.First of all, Shenyang has a really long history. It used to be the capital of the Qing Dynasty, which was the last dynasty in China. There are lots of old buildings and palaces from that time that you can visit. The Mukden Palace is one of the most famous ones. It's this huge palace with hundreds of rooms, and it's all painted yellow and red. Walking around the palace feels like going back in time to when emperors lived there!Another really old and cool place in Shenyang is the Zhaoling Tomb. It's an underground tomb where one of the Qing emperors and his wife are buried. You can go inside and see all the cool carvings and decorations. It's kind of spooky but also really interesting to learn about how they buried emperors back then.Even though Shenyang has a lot of old stuff, it's also a very modern city. There are tons of tall buildings and skyscrapers, especially in the downtown area. One of the tallest buildings is called the Shenyang World Trade Center, and it's over 300 meters high! At night, all the buildings are lit up with colorful lights, and it looks so pretty.Shenyang has some really tasty food too. My favorite is the Shenyang liang pi, which is kind of like a cold noodle dish with lots of flavors. It's a little bit spicy and a little bit sour, but it's super yummy, especially in the summer. Another famous Shenyang food is the Shenyang shabu-shabu, which is a kind of hot pot where you cook thin slices of meat and vegetables in a boiling pot of broth. It's fun to cook your own food at the table! One of the best things about Shenyang is that it has four distinct seasons. In the spring, all the trees and flowers start to bloom, and the weather is nice and warm. Summer can get pretty hot, but it's perfect for going to the pool or the water park. Fall is my favorite season because the leaves turn all sorts of pretty colors like red, orange, and yellow. And in the winter, it snows a lot, and you can go sledding or build snowmen. No matter what time of year it is, there's always something fun to do!Shenyang also has some really cool parks and museums. The Shenyang Botanical Garden is huge, and it has all kinds of different plants and flowers from all over the world. There's even a greenhouse where you can see tropical plants! The Shenyang Science and Technology Museum is another awesome place. They have all sorts of interactive exhibits about science, technology, and space exploration. You can even try out some experiments yourself!I could go on and on about all the great things in Shenyang, but I think you get the idea. It's a city with a rich history, modern buildings, delicious food, and lots of fun activities. Whether you're into history, nature, science, or just want to have a good time, Shenyang has something for everyone. I feel so lucky to have grown up in such an amazing city, and I hope you'll get a chance to visit it someday!篇3My Hometown - ShenyangHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I was born in the amazing city of Shenyang, which is the capital of Liaoning Province in northeast China. Shenyang is a really cool place to live, and I want to tell you all about it!Shenyang has a super long history that goes back over 2,300 years. It used to be the capital of the Qing Dynasty from 1625 to 1644. There are lots of incredible historical sites and ancient buildings around the city. One of my favorite places is the Mukden Palace, which was the home of the early Qing Dynasty emperors. It's this massive compound with ornate architecture and colorful decorations. I love exploring the different halls, gardens and temples there - it feels like traveling back in time!Another awesome historical spot is the Zhaoling Tomb. It's the underground tomb of Emperor Huang Taiji and his wife. The tomb has these mind-blowing stone carvings of dragons, phoenixes and other mythical creatures that guard the entrance. My history teacher says the artistry and masonry skills needed to build it were super advanced for that time. It's just unbelievable that people could create something so magnificent centuries ago!Besides all the incredible history, Shenyang is a really modern and lively city too. The downtown area has towering skyscrapers, huge shopping malls, and tons of bright neon lights everywhere you look. It's always bustling with people, traffic, music and energy. My parents sometimes take me to Shenhe District which has awesome restaurants serving Shenyang'sfamous lazi or "lazyman" noodles. They're thick chewy noodles in a rich savory sauce - sooooo yummy and filling! One of the coolest things about Shenyang though is that it gets reallyreally cold and snowy in winter. Coming from the northeast, I'm pretty used to the freezing temperatures. But for kids from warmer areas, playing in the deep snow would probably be a totally new experience! During the winter months, my friends and I are always outside having epic snowball fights, making snow angels, building snowmen, and going sledding. It's an absolute winter wonderland! The local parks also set up awesome winter activities like ice skating rinks and skiing slopes right within the city.Since Shenyang is such a big city, there are also loads of other fun things for kids to do all year round. I love going to the Shenyang Children's Park because it has a massive indoor playground with tubes, mazes, ball pits and climbing structures. There's also an outdoor amusement park with roller coasters and carnival games. My personal favorite ride is called the Galloping Horse - it swings you wayyy up into the air while spinning around, it's both terrifying and thrilling!Right across from the Children's Park is the Shenyang Botanical Gardens. It's this enormous nature park filled withsprawling gardens, ponds, forests and flower exhibits. One of the highlights is the Hong Kong Orchid Garden which hosts thousands of exotic orchid species. I find botany really interesting, so I always beg my parents to take me to learn about all the different plants.Oh and I can't forget to mention Shenyang's awesome zoo! It has giant pandas, zebras, koalas, polar bears, and basically every type of cool animal you can imagine. My best friend's parents are zookeepers there, so sometimes we even get to go "behind-the-scenes" and learn how they care for all the animals. We've gotten to feed the elephants, pet the kangaroos, and watch the vets give medical check-ups. It's the best!Well, those are some of my favorite parts about living in the amazing city of Shenyang. Between the incredible historic sites, delicious local cuisine, fun winter activities, attractions and more - it's pretty much the coolest hometown ever. If you ever get a chance to visit, you'll absolutely love it too! Maybe I'll even show you around as your tour guide. Okay, gotta run for now - till next time!篇4My Awesome Hometown ShenyangHi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm 10 years old. I was born in the cool city of Shenyang, which is in the northeast part of China. Shenyang is the capital of Liaoning Province and it's a really big, important city with over 8 million people living there! I love my hometown and I'm going to tell you all about it.Shenyang has a very long history going back over 2,300 years. It used to be the capital of two ancient kingdoms - the Liao Dynasty from 907-1125 AD and the Qing Dynasty from1644-1912. There are tons of amazing historical sites and relics from those dynasties still in the city. One of the most famous is the Mukden Palace, which was the secondary capital of the Qing Dynasty. It's a humongous complex with over 300 rooms and it's extremely beautiful and ornate with yellow glazed roof tiles, marble carvings, and bright red walls. It looks like something out of a fairy tale! Whenever my grandparents' friends visit from out of town, they always take them to see the Mukden Palace.Another really cool place is the 18th Century Zhaoling Tomb, which is where one of the Qing emperors and his wives are buried underground. The grounds around the tomb have these giant stone statues of animals, officials and warriors guarding thetomb entrances. I went there on a field trip with my class and we all thought the stone animal statues were so badass!Besides all the old historical places, there are also tons of fun modern attractions in Shenyang. We have the best amusement parks and the biggest indoor ski resort in China! The ski resort is inside this massive building and it has multiple ski slopes, chair lifts, and areas for tubing and snowboarding. You can ski and play in the snow all year round, even during the hot summer. So awesome!Shenyang also has all kinds of delicious food that I love to eat. We're famous for our Muslim cuisine which is super yummy with lots of naan bread, kabobs, and lamb dishes. Some of my favorite Muslim snacks are crispy sesame pancake rings, lamb skewers, and beef sandwich pockets. They're all so mouthwatering! We also have our own unique Shenyang-style hot pot, where you dip all kinds of ingredients like meat, veggies, dumplings and noodles into a big simmering pot of rich broth. It's the perfect meal for cold winter days when you want something warm and comforting. In the summer, I love getting jianbing for breakfast. It's this amazing crepe-like snack with an egg cooked onto the crispywrapper, then they add all sorts of delicious crunchy fillings like lettuce, wontons, barbecued pork, and savory sauces. You eat it wrapped up like a burrito - it's so tasty! One of the best things about Shenyang is the beautiful scenery and parks all around the city. We have the Shenyang Botanical Gardens which have flowers and plants from all over the world on display. I did a science project there last year about different tree species. And Qingchengshan Park has these stunning green hills, lakes, temples and pavilions to explore. You can hike or ride a boat around the park and it feels like you've traveled back in time to ancient China. It's a perfect escape from the busy downtown area.In the winter, my favorite outdoor activity is ice skating on one of the frozen lakes or rivers in Shenyang. We have awesome ice skating rinks too, with heated indoor viewing areas for parents. I'm a pretty good skater and I've won a few medals in competitions before. Maybe I'll be in the Olympics one day!Shenyang also has some cool annual festivals worth seeing. Around the Lunar New Year holiday, we celebrate with massive temple fairs in the city that have folk performances, games, food stalls and beautiful lantern displays. Everything is decorated inred for good luck and my family loves going to watch the dragon dances and try holiday snacks. In the summer, there's the awesome Shenyang International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival where they showcase hundreds of giant ice and snow sculptures carved by artists from around the world. They use colored lights to illuminate the sculptures at night too - it looks like a magical frozen kingdom! As you can probably tell, I really love my hometown Shenyang! It has such a rich culture blending the old and new, from ancient imperial palaces to modern amusement parks. And the food is just out of this world delicious. If you ever visit China, you have to come see Shenyang - I'll show you all the best spots! Thanks for reading about my awesome city.篇5My Awesome Hometown ShenyangHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a 10-year-old boy from Shenyang, China. Today I want to tell you all about my awesome hometown. Get ready to learn some really cool stuff!Shenyang is the capital city of Liaoning Province in northeast China. It's a huge, bustling city with over 8 million people livingthere. The city sits in the center of the Liaoning province and is an important industrial base. But Shenyang is also an ancient city with over 2,300 years of history! One of the coolest things about Shenyang is how it used to be the capital of not just one, but two powerful dynasties - the Liao Dynasty from 916-1125 AD and the Qing Dynasty from 1625-1644 AD. Because of this incredible heritage, Shenyang has so many amazing historical sites and relics. My favorite is the Mukden Palace, which was the former imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty. This grand palace covers a massive area of over 60 hectares and has tons of beautiful traditional buildings with yellow glazed roof tiles. Whenever my family takes me there, I feel like a little emperor exploring his kingdom!Another must-see sight in Shenyang is the 17th century Zhaoling Tomb. This is the underground palace and final resting place of Qing Dynasty rulers like Emperor Nurhachi. The tomb complexes have mind-blowing stone sculptures and carvings that give you a window into the lives of those ancient royals. I get goosebumps thinking about all the history buried there! But Shenyang isn't just about old stuff from centuries ago. It's also a modern, thriving city with a ton of entertainment for kids like me. My favorite place is the Shenyang Forest Safari Parkwhich has amazing animals like white tigers, bears, lions and so many more roaming freely across its vast landscapes. I love taking the tour bus rides through the different safari zones and seeing the animals up close! If you visit in winter, you have to check out the Shenyang International Ice and Snow Festival at Beiling Park. This is where they build the most unbelievable ice sculptures and have fun winter activities like sledding, ice skating, ice maze exploring and more. The ice lantern exhibits are my absolute favorite part - they're like walking through a frozen fairy tale kingdom! And you can't talk about Shenyang without mentioning the incredible food. We have so many unique and delicious local dishes her e that'll make your mouth water. My number one is lièr pancakes, which are stuffed with a tasty filling of scrambled eggs, sausage and vegetables. Then there's the famous Shenyang smoked chicken that has an amazing smoky aroma. And my mom makes the best Shenyang-style stuffed buns - I can eat a dozen of those in one sitting, no problem! As you can see, my hometown Shenyang is pretty much the greatest city ever. It's like a awesome mix of ancient imperial grandeur and modern big city fun. We have great historical sites, amazing food, cool parks and activities, and the nicest peopleyou'll ever meet. You gotta come visit Shenyang! I'll show you around and we can stuff our faces with lièr pancakes. Just let me know when you're coming, okay? See you soon!篇6My Awesome Hometown Shenyang!Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm going to tell you all about my super cool hometown - Shenyang! It's the biggest city in my province Liaoning and also a really really old and historic place. But it's not boring at all, there's tons of fun stuff to do and see.First up, the food in Shenyang is amazing! We have these yummy little snacks called 'erduanr' that are two tiny fried cakes stuffed with sweet brown sugar. My grandma makes the best ones. Then there are the jianbing which are crispy fried pancakes with an egg cracked on top. You can get them from little street stalls and the uncles who make them are real artists! For meals, nothing beats Shenyang's famous lazi or 'lazy' noodles. They have thick chewy noodles in a tasty broth with veggies and pork. Slurp! As well as the incredible food, Shenyang has somemind-blowing historical sites to explore. The Mukden Palaceused to be home to the emperors of the Qing Dynasty waaaaay back in the 1600s. It's this gigantic compound with ornate buildings, pretty gardens and a huge red wall surrounding it. I love pretending to be an emperor when I visit! Another crazy old place is the Zhaoling Tomb where one of the Qing Dynasty emperors is buried under these massive stone sculptures of creatures and officials. So creepy but really awesome. For a city over 300 years old, Shenyang also has its modern side. We have the biggest square - Xiaoping Square - in all of Asia! It's this vast open area lined with tall buildings where people go skating, flying kites and just hanging out. There are also loads of cool new shopping malls with stores from all over the world. I could spend days in the massive toy sections! My favorite is the Shenyang New World Department Store which looks like a crazy rainbow castle. The elevators on the outside go alllll the way to the top floors. While central Shenyang is all lit up and buzzing, we have awesome outdoorsy stuff too. The Shenyang Botanical Garden is ginormous with an eco-park, arboretums and loads of different themed gardens. Me and my friends love renting bikes and riding the trails here for hours checking out the plants and animals. Not too far away are some great hiking spots like theQipanshan Forest Park and Huangguoshu Waterfall where you can climb up to the top of the falls and get totally soaked from the spray. So fun!In the winters, nowhere beats Shenyang because it gets dumped on by crazy amounts of snow! We're used to the super cold and have all sorts of winter sports. There are frozen lakes for ice skating, snowy slopes for sledding and lots of ski resorts just outside of the city. My favorite is the Olympic Park which has Olympic-quality skiing/snowboard courses and a huge snow playground area with tubes, rails and jumps. Even though I'm a beginner, I love trying out all the different areas at the park. Those are just some of my favorite things about living in awesome Shenyang! From the epic food to the cool mix of old and new sites, it's such an amazing and vibrant place. We have world-class facilities for winter sports, awesome outdoor areas to explore and a rich cultural history going back centuries. I'm so lucky to call Shenyang my home and get to experience everything this incredible city has to offer. You gotta come visit sometime!。
