Good afternoon teacher and classmates, now I’m glad to deliver a speech here. The topic I’ll address is “From Independence to Job Hunting Blues”.
As university life begins, students come to a new phase of life with so many unknown experiences waiting for them.
For many students, university is the first time away from their parents, which also means it is the first time that students are given the freedom to choose what to do. For some, this new freedom can be quite challenging. Some students end up wasting their free-time by surfing the net, chatting online or playing computer games, still others choose to spend these time shopping or even sleeping. However, I believe that free-time should be divided into three main parts: physical exercise, reading, communicating with friends and family.
Nevertheless, as university life unfolds itself gradually, every student should embark on a journey of seeking their own identity and learning how to be independent.
Depending on ourselves can be quite satisfying. In addition, being an independent person helps to build character. As we all know, everyone is challenged with something at some point, especially on campus we find it challenging to deal with certain kinds of personal relationships with teachers, classmates, and someone else. When faced with such a dilemma, we should embrace it by ourselves instead of running from it. I think we are on the way to be independent by solving such problems.
University life is colorful and exciting, but very stressful as well, for things don’t always go as well as we expected. However, we students should learn how to embrace every challenge, thus during this time -----from independence to job hunting blues, we may live unforgettable and precious lives.
