用英语写一篇去英国伦敦旅游的作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Amazing Trip to London! This past summer, my family and I took the most exciting trip ever - we went to London, England! I had been looking forward to this trip for months and months. We took a really long flight to get there from the United States, but it was worth every second of travel when we finally arrived. As soon as we landed, I could feel the amazing history and energy of this iconic city. London is the capital of England and has been around for almost 2,000 years! Can you believe people have been living there since ancient Roman times? Our first stop was seeing Buckingham Palace, where the Queen of England lives. The palace was massive, with an iconic balcony where the royal family appears to wave to huge crowds. I spotted the famous guards marching around in their red coats and tall black hats. They looked so serious, but our guide told us they have to try hard not to laugh when tourists try to make silly faces at them! After Buckingham Palace, we went to see the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Big Ben is actually the name of the giant bell inside the famous clock tower, which is officially called the Elizabeth Tower. It was being renovated when we visited, but it was still incredible to see such an iconic landmark up close. I couldn't believe how massive it was! Nearby was Westminster Abbey, a beautiful church where kings, queens, and other important people have been buried for almost 1,000 years. The next day, we visited the Tower of London, which definitely lived up to its name as an enormous tower! This historic castle right on the River Thames was first built in 1066 by William the Conqueror. We got to see the amazing Crown Jewels, which are the decorated diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other priceless gems that are only worn by the royal family on very special occasions. We also saw the famous ravens that live at the Tower - legend says if they ever leave, the entire kingdom will fall! The Beefeaters, or Yeomen Warders, were the highlight though. They are the iconic guards who have protected the Tower for centuries while wearing their fantastic red and gold outfits. After the Tower, we walked across the iconic Tower Bridge, one of London's most famous sights. This huge bridge over the Thames has two massive towers connected at the top by awalkway. We climbed up to the walkway and got an incredible view of the city skyline. It was a little scary being up so high, but totally worth it!The next few days were a whirlwind of activities. We rode the London Underground ("the Tube") all around the city to places like the British Museum, filled with centuries of artifacts from cultures all over the world. At the Natural History Museum, I got to see real dinosaur bones and life-sized models of blue whales. We did lots of shopping at iconic London stores like Harrods and Hamleys, the massive toy store that spans seven floors! I picked up some Double Decker bus and British guard souvenirs to remember my trip.We took a daytrip outside of London to see Stonehenge, the mysterious giant rock formation in the countryside of southwest England. No one really knows how or why the giant stones were arranged in a circle, but it was still amazing to see something so ancient in person after learning about it in school. On our last day in London, we rode on a double decker red bus to see even more sights. We passed places like Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, and Covent Garden. At Covent Garden, we watched talented street performers juggling, dancing, and making animals out of balloons. We also walked throughbeautiful parks like Hyde Park and St. James's Park, and even got to see Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace again.Watching the guards march in their red coats and bearskin hats was such a cool experience. I couldn't believe how serious and perfectly in-sync they were! After that, we did one final round of souvenir shopping at stalls and shops for gifts to bring back home.Overall, my trip to London was absolutely incredible. I got to experience so much amazing history, culture, food, and iconic sights. From the Tube to the double decker buses to the red phone booths on nearly every street corner, everything felt篇2My Awesome Trip to London!Last summer, my family took the most amazing trip to London, England! We had never been to Europe before, so we were all really excited. The plane ride from America was really long, but I didn't mind because I got to watch movies and eat snacks the whole time. When we finally landed at the airport in London, I could hardly believe my eyes. Everything looked so different from backhome! The cars drove on the opposite side of the road, there were cool red phone booths everywhere, and all the buildings were old and made of brick or stone. It was like being in a real life movie set!Our hotel was right in the center of the city. We had a view of this huge clocktower called Big Ben from our window. The room wasn't fancy, but who cares when you're in London! After dropping our bags, we headed right outside to start exploring. The first stop was Buckingham Palace to see if we could catch a glimpse of the Queen. We walked through this beautiful park called St. James's Park and finally arrived at the palace gates. There were lots of other tourists there hoping to see the changing of the guard ceremony. We lucked out and got to watch the whole thing! Those guards with the big fuzzy hats were pretty funny looking, but they had to stay completely still and not laugh or anything. I tried making silly faces at one of them to see if he would crack a smile, but he was a real pro and didn't move an inch. After the palace, we went to see some other famous landmarks like the Tower of London, London Bridge, and the River Thames. My favorite was the Tower of London because it used to be a fortress and prison with a moat! We got to see thespot where Anne Boleyn and other unlucky folks were beheaded back in the day. Crazy stuff! One night, we saw a musical in the West End theater district, which was a blast. It felt like being on Broadway! Another day, we rode one of those red double decker buses to tour the city. Getting to sit up top and see all the sights was the coolest. I felt like a real cheesy tourist, but I didn't even care.No trip to London would be complete without tea time! We went to this super fancy tea house one afternoon and I got to try all sorts of yummy finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. I had never drunk so much tea in my life! It was a very pinky's up kind of experience. For me, the absolute highlight was getting to go to the Harry Potter studios and see all the sets, props, and costumes from the movies. The Great Hall at Hogwarts took my breath away - it looked exactly like in the films! I got to drink some delicious butter beer, walk down Diagon Alley, and see the cupboard under the stairs where Harry lived with the Dursleys. As a huge Harry Potter nerd, this was a dream come true. I never wanted to leave! When it was finally time to head back home, I was exhausted but so happy. London was even more amazing than I hadimagined! The history, culture, food and people made it such a magical place. I already can't wait to go back someday. I'm so grateful my parents took us on this incredible trip that I'll never forget. London, I love you!篇3A Jolly Adventure to London Town!Hi there, my name is Jamie, and I'm 10 years old. Last summer, my family and I went on the most exciting adventure ever – we traveled all the way to London, England! It was my first time leaving the country, and I was bursting with anticipation. I had learned so much about London in school, and I couldn't wait to see everything with my own eyes. The journey began with a long flight across the Atlantic Ocean. I had never been on a plane before, and I was amazed by how high up we were flying! I spent most of the trip glued to the window, watching the clouds drift by and trying to spot tiny houses and cars far below. Eventually, the pilot announced that we were beginning our descent into London, and I pressed my face against the glass, eagerly searching for my first glimpse of the city.As we landed at Heathrow Airport, I could barely contain my excitement. We collected our bags and stepped out into the bustling streets of London. Immediately, I was struck by how different everything looked and sounded. The cars drove on the opposite side of the road, and everyone spoke with charming British accents. It felt like we had stepped into another world! Our first stop was the iconic Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the Queen. I was in awe as we approached the magnificent palace, with its grand architecture and towering gates. We joined a crowd of tourists and waited patiently for the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony, where the Queen's soldiers in their bright red uniforms and tall black hats marched with precise movements. It was like watching a scene from a movie!Next, we visited the Tower of London, a historic castle that has stood tall for nearly a thousand years. Our guide regaled us with tales of kings and queens, traitors and executioners, and we even got to see the legendary Crown Jewels! I couldn't believe I was gazing at priceless diamonds, rubies, and emeralds that had adorned the heads of British monarchs for centuries. One of my favorite experiences was riding on adouble-decker bus through the city. I pleaded with my parents tolet me sit on the top level, and they reluctantly agreed. As we trundled along the busy streets, I felt like a king surveying his kingdom from atop the bright red bus. I waved excitedly at pedestrians and tried to spot as many famous landmarks as I could. We also took a cruise along the River Thames, which winds its way through the heart of London. From the boat, we had a fantastic view of the iconic Tower Bridge, the modern skyscrapers of the City, and the towering London Eye Ferris wheel. I loved feeling the cool breeze on my face as we glided past these incredible sights. One of the highlights of our trip was attending a performance of the magical "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" play in London's West End theatre district. As a huge Harry Potter fan, I was spellbound by the incredible stage sets, special effects, and talented actors who brought the wizarding world to life before my very eyes.Throughout our stay, we indulged in quintessential British experiences. We sipped piping hot tea and nibbled on delicate scones and cl otted cream at a charming café. We sampled traditional fish and chips, wrapped in paper and drizzled with vinegar. And of course, we couldn't leave without trying theiconic British dish – a hearty full English breakfast, complete with sausages, bacon, eggs, baked beans, and toast. As our magical adventure came to an end, I felt a twinge of sadness to be leaving this incredible city behind. But I also felt incredibly grateful for the opportunity to experience the wonders of London firsthand. From the grand palaces and historic landmarks to the bustling streets and world-class museums, every moment had been an adventure. Now that I'm back home, I find myself daydreaming about our trip, wishing I could relive those special moments again and again. I can't wait to share my stories and memories with my friends and classmates, and who knows – perhaps one day I'll have the chance to return to London and discover even more of its enchanting sights and sounds.篇4My Dream Trip to LondonEver since I was a little kid, I've dreamed of visiting the amazing city of London in England. My parents have told me so many stories about its incredible history, beautiful buildings, and fun attractions. I can't wait until I'm finally old enough to travel there and see it all with my own eyes!My main reason for wanting to go to London is to see Buckingham Palace. The magnificent palace has been the home of the Royal Family for centuries. I've seen pictures and it looks absolutely stunning with its elegant architecture and grand State Rooms. I really hope I get to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony where the Queen's soldiers in their bright red uniforms and tall black hats march alongside the palace grounds. How exciting would it be if we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Queen herself? I'd love to wave and see if she waved back!Another place at the very top of my London list is the Tower of London. This massive castle right along the River Thames looks like something straight out of a medieval fairy tale. It has thick stone walls, towers looming high into the sky, and a deep moat surrounding it. The Tower has such an incredible history of kings, queens, prisoners, and so much more dating back almost 1,000 years! I can't wait to walk along the grounds and hear the Yeoman Warders (nicknamed the "Beefeaters") tell stories of its fascinating past. Maybe I'll even get to see the amazing Crown Jewels that are guarded there.London has some of the most famous churches and cathedrals in the entire world that I'm desperate to visit. St. Paul'sCathedral looks beautiful with its massive dome that you can climb to the very top of. From up there, you can see an amazing view across the whole city. I also really want to ring the giant bell at the church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square. Westminster Abbey is another stunning church that has hosted royal coronations, weddings, and funerals for centuries. I'm in awe at the incredible gothic architecture and ornate stone decorations.I'm already dreaming about all the delicious food I'll get to try in London. I know they have some of the best fish and chips with crispy battered fish and hot, salty fries. I can't wait to bite into a flaky beef pastry or warm bread pudding from one of the historic bakeries. And how could I resist a creamy, frothy hot chocolate loaded with tons of whipped cream and powdery marshmallows from an old-fashioned cafe? Yum!There are so many fun attractions and activities I want to experience like riding the giant Ferris wheel called the London Eye, touring the wax museum of Madame Tussauds, watching the hilarious Changing of the Guard performance where the guards pretend to be hungry lions, and seeing if I can solve the mystery at the Sherlock Holmes Museum. We may even get totake in a theater performance in London's famous West End theater district.London has world-class museums that I'm dying to explore like the Natural History Museum, the British Museum full of ancient artifacts, and the Science Museum where I can learn about space, dinosaurs, and inventions. And we absolutely have to visit the toy stores! I've heard about the famous Hamleys toy store that's like a real-life toy paradise. Maybe we'll even find the perfect stuffed British bulldog puppy to bring home as a souvenir.I can picture us taking the classic red double-decker buses to get around the city and see all the iconic sights like Big Ben, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, and Buckingham Palace up close. We'll be able to hop on and off at all the different stops to explore. I also really want to just wander around the lively neighborhoods, grab snacks from food carts, and do some shopping for fun souvenirs along the famous Oxford Street. At night, the city will be beautifully lit up with the glow and energy all around us. We may even be lucky enough to catch an amazing fireworks display over the River Thames! I'll never forget the view of the city's countless buildings, churches, andlandmarks all sparkling before my eyes. London truly looks like a real-life fairytale after dark.More than anything, I'm so excited about all the amazing history, culture and traditions I'll get to experience during our trip to London. Every building, every street, and every sight has centuries and centuries of fascinating stories to tell. I feel like I'll be transported back in time while also getting to be part of England's modern life today. From watching the篇5A Wondrous Trip to London复制Last summer, myfamilyandI wentonthemost amazing triptoLondon, England! Fromthesecondwe landedattheairport, I wasinaweofthenew sights, sounds, andsmells. Our first stop was the hotel right in the heart of the city near Trafalgar Square. As we drove through the streets, I couldn't believe how busy and crowded it was, with cars, buses, andpeople everywhere! The buildings were so tall and tightly packed together compared to back home. Our hotel room was on the 27th floor, and I loved looking out over the sprawling city skyline. The next morning, we started our sightseeing bright and early after an English breakfast of eggs, sausages, baked beans, and toast. Our first stop was Buckingham Palace, where we watched the changing of the guard. I thought it was so cool seeing the royal guards marching around in their bright red coats and tall black hats. They looked incredibly serious and disciplined. I tried my best not to laugh or smile while they were up close! We also got to see the balcony where the royal family appears on special occasions. From there, we went to see some of the other famous landmarks, like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and the London Eye ferris wheel. Everywhere we looked there were iconic sights I had seen before in pictures and on TV. It felt unreal to be there in person! We took a ride on the London Eye, which was a little scary being so high up, but the views over the city were unbelievable. The next day, we took a ride on one of the classic red double decker buses, which was double the fun. We got to sit up top and watch the city go by. Our first stop was the Tower of London, which used to be a prison and palace for kings and queens going back nearly 1000 years. We got to see the amazing crown jewels, valuted ceilings, armor, and learn about all the history. It was fascinating but also a bit creepy thinking about the torture and executions that happened there! We also saw the famous Yeoman Warders or "Beefeaters" guarding the tower. After the Tower, we walked across the iconic Tower Bridge, which opens up to let large ships pass underneath. On the other side we visited Borough Market, one of the oldest and biggest food markets in London. There were vendors selling fresh fruits, veggies, baked goods, cheeses, and all sorts of other delectable foods. We picked up some tasty treats for a picnic lunch in a beautiful nearby park. That afternoon, we explored neighborhoods like Covent Garden, Soho, and Piccadilly Circus with their shops, street performers, and nightlife.Another highlight was taking a ride on one of London's iconic black taxis to the museums. The cab drivers were very friendly and loved telling us stories and facts about their city. First, we went to the British Museum, which houses ancient artifacts from all over the world, including the Rosetta Stone, mummies, and more. My favorite though was the Natural History Museum, with its towering dinosaur skeletons and exhibitscovering animals, biology, ecology, and more. I felt like a explorer discovering all the wonders of science! We also stopped in at the National Gallery to see beautiful paintings by masters like Van Gogh and Rembrandt. On our last full day, we took a walking tour around the East End and learned about England's colonial past and life in the city. We explored markets, sampled some tasty ethnic cuisines, and heard stories about famous Englanders like Charles Dickens who lived and wrote in the area. We even got to see the house where he lived mapped out. That evening, we went to go see a play in the famous theater district in the West End. It was my first time seeing a live professional play and it was magical! The talent, costumes, and sets were amazing.Throughout the trip, I had my very first experiences with things like riding the "Tube" subway, seeing street artists and performers, eating fish and chips and other quintessential British foods, and hearing all the fun accents and slang words used by the locals. I bought lots of fun souvenirs like a cool phone cover with the Union Jack flag and a "Mind the Gap" t-shirt too! I have so many colorful memories sketched into my mind from the amazing week.Looking back, my favorite part about the whole journey wasn't any single attraction, but rather the feeling of being immersed in such an iconic, historic, diverse, and energetic world capital. London is a city unlike anywhere else, with its fascinating culture, traditions, and stories to discover around every corner. I feel so fortunate to have experienced just a slice of the magical city at such a young age. It filled me with curiosity to learn about other places and keep exploring the world. Maybe next time I'll be able to visit places like Scotland or Wales as well! I already can't wait for my next amazing adventure abroad.篇6A Trip to London, EnglandHi there! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. Last summer, my family took the most amazing trip to London, England and I want to tell you all about it!We left from the airport super early in the morning. The flight was really long - about 8 hours from where we live! I slept a little on the plane, but I was too excited to sleep much. I had never been to another country before. When we finally landed at the airport in London, the first thing I noticed was that everyone spoke English, but with a funnyaccent. Their accents sounded quite different than the way we speak English back home.We took a taxi from the airport to our hotel in the city center. The roads seemed so narrow with cars driving on the left side instead of the right! Our taxi driver seemed to be going awfully fast down those small streets. Our hotel room had a beautiful view overlooking the city. We could see the huge ferris wheel called the London Eye along the River Thames from our window. I had seen pictures of the London Eye before but I was amazed by how massive it was in person. On our first day, we went to see Buckingham Palace where the Royal Family lives. We got to watch the changing of the guard ceremony outside the palace gates. The guards' red jackets and tall black hats were so cool! They march in a very silly way, but they have to stay completely serious without smiling at all.My favorite place we visited was the Tower of London. This was an old castle right on the River Thames with ancient stone towers and walls. We took a tour led by one of the Yeomen Warders, who are famous guards at the Tower. Our tour guide letme try on one of the guard's heavy metal helmets - it weighed a ton!The best part of the Tower of London was getting to see the amazing Crown Jewels. These were all the valuable jewels, diamonds, and precious gems that are owned by the Royal Family. The guides make sure you can't touch any of the jewels because they are priceless! The largest diamond was literally as big as an egg. Simply stunning! We also visited the incredible British Museum one day. This place was like a huge maze with room after room filled with artifacts and treasures from all over the world and across human history. My favorite exhibition was about Ancient Egypt with its creepy mummies and tomb artifacts. So cool, yet slightly spooky. My family and I had so much fun riding one of the iconic red double-decker buses around the city. We also took a ride in one of London's famous black cabs. Apparently, all of the cab drivers have to pass a very difficult test to memorize every single road and attraction in the entire city!We did a ton of other awesome things too, like seeing a musical in the West End theater district (it was so good!), going for afternoon tea at a cute little cafe (the scones with clottedcream were delicious), walking through beautiful parks, and even taking a day trip outside of the city to see Stonehenge. My favorite foods we tried in London were fish and chips (fried fish with French fries), bangers and mash (sausages with mashed potatoes), and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. British chocolate was also super tasty!Sadly, our fun vacation had to come to an end eventually. I have so many amazing memories from our trip to London. It was a crazy adventure getting to experience a new culture, see such iconic sights, and dive into the rich history everywhere we went.I definitely want to go back to London again someday. In fact, I want to travel all over England and the rest of Europe too! Just writing about our vacation is making me excited to start planning my next trip. Maybe I'll be an international travel writer when I grow up. London is the best!。

关于伦敦这个题材的英语作文五十多个字左右
关于伦敦这个题材的英语作文五十多个字左右全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1London, the Capital of England!Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I recently went on a trip to London with my family and I'm so excited to tell you all about it!London is the capital city of England, and also the biggest city in the United Kingdom. It's a very old and historic place, with lots of famous buildings and monuments. Our trip started with a ride on a double-decker red bus, which was super fun! We got to sit upstairs and see everything from up high. One of the first places we visited was Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives. It's a massive palace with lots of guards standing watch outside, dressed in their red uniforms and tall black hats. We didn't get to go inside, but we took lots of pictures in front of the gates. Maybe next time the Queen will invite us for tea! After that, we went to see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Big Ben is a huge clock tower that's one of the most famous landmarks in London. The clock itself is absolutely gigantic! We also learned that Big Ben is just the name of the bell inside the tower, not the tower itself. The Houses of Parliament is where the government meets to make laws and decisions for the whole country. Then we took a ride on the London Underground, which is their subway system. The stations and trains were really cool and old-looking, with lots of twisting tunnels and tile walls. We got off at the Tower of London, which used to be a prison a long time ago. We saw the crown jewels there, which are the precious gems and jewels that belong to the royal family. There were so many diamonds and rubies, it was blinding! The next day, we went to the Natural History Museum, which has an amazing dinosaur exhibit. The dinosaur skeletons were humongous! It's crazy to think those creatures really roamed the Earth millions of years ago. I even got a little dinosaur tooth fossil as a souvenir. We also visited the famous Madame Tussauds wax museum, where you can see life-size wax figures of celebrities and famous people. It was so realistic, some of them looked just like theywere real people standing there! I got my picture taken "meeting" some of my favorite singers and movie stars. On our last day, we took a ride on the London Eye, which is a massive Ferris wheel along the River Thames. We got some amazing views of the whole city from the very top! You could see all the famous buildings and bridges stretching out for miles.Overall, I had such an incredible time in London. There was so much to see and do, from touring historic landmarks to visiting awesome museums. The culture, the food, thedouble-decker buses - everything was an adventure! I can't wait to go back again someday. London is one of the most exciting cities in the world, with such a rich history and so many iconic sights. If you ever get the chance to visit, you're going to love it! Cheerio!篇2London: The Magical City of My DreamsEver since I was a little kid, I've dreamed of visiting the amazing city of London. My grandparents went there on their honeymoon and brought back the coolest souvenirs - a red double-decker bus, a Beefeater guard figurine, and even little boxes of English tea!I've read so many books and seen so many movies that take place in London. From the magical world of Harry Potter to the incredible adventures of Mary Poppins, London seems like the most wonderful and exciting place on Earth. There's just something special about that historic city. One of the top places I want to see is Buckingham Palace. Can you imagine how awesome it would be to catch a glimpse of the Queen or watch the changing of the guard? With their tall furry hats and fancy red coats, the palace guards look like they stepped straight out of a storybook! I'd love to tour the lavish state rooms and beautiful gardens.Speaking of gardens, I definitely need to visit the amazing Kew Gardens when I go to London. With acres and acres of plants, flowers, and trees from all over the world, it's like areal-life paradise for nature lovers like me. They even have hiking trails, lakes, and greenhouses! You could spend days there and still not see everything. Then there are all the iconic landmarks I've learned about, like Big Ben, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, and the London Eye. The architecture and history behind those places is just mind-blowing. I can't wait to get up close and personal with landmarks that have stood for hundreds of years!I also really want to see a musical or play in London's famous West End theater district. With huge shows like Wicked, The Lion King, and Matilda, it would be like getting front row seats to a Broadway production! My parents篇3London - A Big City with Lots to See!Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm going to tell you all about my trip to London last summer. London is the capital city of England and it's huge! My mom said it has over 8 million people living there. That's more people than live in my whole country! We took a train from our town to get to London. The ride was really long but I didn't mind because I got to look out the window the whole time. When we finally arrived at the train station in London, I was amazed by how busy and crowded it was. There were people rushing everywhere, buses and taxis zipping by, and tall buildings and skyscrapers all around us.Our first stop was Buckingham Palace. That's where the Queen lives when she's in London. We got to see the changing of the guards which was really cool. The guards have very funny fuzzy hats and they march around in a very serious way. I triedmy best not to laugh! We also got to go on a tour inside some of the palace rooms. Everything was so fancy and decorated with lots of gold. I felt like a princess! The next day, we went to the Tower of London. This is an old castle right on the River Thames. We got to see the crown jewels there which was amazing. There were so many diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other precious gems. The guide told us they are worth millions and millions of pounds! We also saw the ravens that live at the Tower. Apparently, they have to keep at least six ravens there or else there will be bad luck. How strange is that? Some other highlights were riding on the big ferris wheel called the London Eye, seeing a play at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and going on a cruise along the River Thames. We even got to ride one of the classic red double decker buses! I tried my best to navigate us around using the iconic London Underground subway system too. There were so many other great things we did that I can't fit them all in here. We went to world-class museums, sampled yummy food from all over at the various markets, and just enjoyed strolling around the different cool neighborhoods. Everywhere we went there were beautiful old buildings mixed inwith modern skyscrapers and so much history around every corner.I absolutely loved my time in London and can't wait to go back again someday. It's such an exciting, fast-paced city but also full of incredible sights and fascinating culture. If you ever get the chance to visit, you have to go! There's something for everyone in London. Just be prepared to do a lot of walking because there is so much spread out to see and explore. I give London two thumbs up!篇4London, the Big Smoke!I went to London with my family during the summer holiday last year and it was the best trip ever! London is the capital city of England and one of the most famous cities in the world. So many exciting things happened on our visit, I can't wait to tell you all about it!The first thing we did was ride one of those big red double-decker buses. I felt like a real Londoner sitting up top and watching the city go by. The streets were so busy with cars, black taxis, cyclists, and lots and lots of people walking. Thebuildings were all squished together, tall and old looking but beautiful. We stayed in a hotel right near the River Thames. One morning, we took a boat cruise along the river and I saw so many iconic landmarks! There was the Tower of London with its thick stone walls and towers. I learned it used to be a prison and palace for kings and queens. Across the river was the Tower Bridge which is one of the most recognizable bridges in the world with its two towers and blue steel exterior. As we cruised further down the river, I spotted the gigantic ferris wheel called the London Eye. It's one of the tallest ferris wheels in the world! We went for a ride on it and I could see the entire city from way up high. The view was breathtaking. On a clear day, you can even see for 25 miles! Not far from the London Eye is the Houses of Parliament with its ornate Gothic architecture and the famous clock tower housing Big Ben. Our guide told us Big Ben is actually the name of the bell inside the clock tower, not the clock itself! The real name of the tower is the Elizabeth Tower. Mind blown! We took a tour inside Buckingham Palace which is the official London residence of the Queen. The palace has 775 rooms, including 19 state rooms, 52 royal bedrooms, 188 staffbedrooms, and 78 bathrooms! I couldn't even imagine living somewhere so massive and grand. My favorite part was the Changing of the Guard ceremony where the new guard changes篇5London, the Capital of EnglandHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. Last summer, my family and I went on a trip to London, the capital of England. It was my first time visiting another country and I was so excited! London is a huge, bustling city with lots of cool things to see and do.Our first stop was Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives. We didn't get to go inside, but we saw the iconic red-coated guards standing watch outside the gates. They have these big fuzzy hats that look so funny! My little brother tried his best to make one of the guards laugh, but they just stood there completely still without even cracking a smile. Their self-control is impressive!Next, we went to the Tower of London. This is an ancient castle right on the River Thames. We took a tour and learned all about its crazy history – it used to be a prison where they locked up and executed people! The tour guide showed us the spotwhere two of King Henry VIII's wives were beheaded. So gruesome! We also got to see the amazing Crown Jewels, which are the royal family's decorative gems and jewelry. The diamond encrusted crowns and scepters were blinding with how sparkly they were. One of the coolest things we did was ride on the London Eye, which is a giant Ferris wheel right on the river. Our capsule went so high up that we could see the entire city skyline. I felt like a bird soaring over the rooftops! On a clear day, they say you can see for miles and miles. We lucked out with perfect weather. We also visited some fun museums like the Natural History Museum to see the dinosaur skeletons and the Science Museum with its interactive exhibits. Let's just say I'm glad I wasn't around when T-Rexes roamed the Earth! I tried out a futurisitic space capsule simulator which was a total blast.I also couldn't get enough of the amazing food. We had traditional fish and chips, savory meat pies, and delicious Indian curries. The curries were a little spicy for my taste buds, but still yummy. And don't get me started on dessert – we indulged in warm scones with clotted cream, fancy chocolates, and sticky sweet treacle pudding. My sweet tooth was in heaven! My favorite part though was simply walking around the different neighborhoods and taking in the sights and sounds. The architecture is beautiful with a mix of historic and modern buildings. The red telephone booths on nearly every corner are so iconic. And the accents! I loved listening to everyone speak with their lovely British accents. All in all, London is such a vibrant, culture-rich city with so much to do and see. I had an absolute blast visiting and can't wait to go back someday. We barely scratched the surface in the short time we were there. If you ever get a chance to travel to London, you absolutely must go! Just be prepared for a lot of walking because there is that much to explore. Cheerio!篇6My Trip to LondonLast summer, my family and I went on a amazing trip to London, England! I had been looking forward to this vacation for months. We flew on a big plane from New York City all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. It took around 7 hours, which felt like forever to me! But I didn't mind too much because I brought my Nintendo Switch to keep me entertained on the long flight. When we finally landed at Heathrow Airport in London, I was so excited. The airport was huge! We took a taxi from there to our hotel in the city center. As we drove through the streets of London, I looked out the window in awe at all the cool old buildings and famous landmarks we passed by. I saw the River Thames, Big Ben, the London Eye, and lots of red double-decker buses and black cabs. Everything looked so different from back home! Our hotel was really nice. We had a big room with two beds and a view of a pretty park nearby. After dropping our bags, we headed out to start exploring London. First, we went to see Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives. We got to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony, with the red-coated guards marching around. It was so cool! We also walked through St. James's Park, which had lovely gardens and lots of birds and squirrels running around.Over the next few days, we visited so many amazing places in London. We went up to the top of the Shard, which is a gigantic glass skyscraper that's the tallest building in the city. The view from up there was incredible! You could see the whole skyline of London. We also went on the London Eye, the hugeferris wheel on the river. It was a little scary being so high up, but the 360 degree views were totally worth it.Another highlight was visiting the Tower of London, a massive old castle right on the River Thames. We got to see the Crown Jewels there, which are the super fancy jewels and crowns that belong to the royal family. They were breathtakingly beautiful! At the Tower, we also learned about its dark history - it used to be a prison where many people were executed centuries ago. The Yeomen Warders (nicknamed the "Beefeaters") who gave us the tour were really funny. We spent a whole day at the amazing British Museum, which has hundreds of thousands of artifacts and treasures from all around the world and throughout human history. I loved seeing the Egyptian mummies, the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon Marbles, and so much more. My favorite thing might have been the huge, wickedly scary Aztec stone covered in carvings of skulls and snakes! The museum was overwhelming but so cool.London has so many fun attractions for kids, too. We went to the legendary Madame Tussauds wax museum and took silly pictures with the eerily life-like wax figures of celebrities and historical figures. Another day, we visited the wildly entertaining Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum full of bizarre oddities likeshrunken heads and a portrait made of candy. We also spent an afternoon at the amazing London Dungeon, a haunted house recreation of gruesome events from London's past like the Black Plague. It was creepy but hilarious! When we weren't sightseeing, we just enjoyed strolling around London's different neighborhoods and parks. We had delicious meals like fish and chips, Indian curry, and English breakfast with roasted tomatoes and beans. We did a ton of fun souvenir shopping, too, and I got some cool London t-shirts, a mini double-decker bus, and a "Bobby" police officer figurine to remember our trip.By the end of our week in London, I was completely worn out from all the walking and sightseeing - but I had the most incredible time! London is such a world-class, fascinating city. There's just so much to see and do, from historic sights and museums to quirky attractions and great food. I'll never forget this amazing family vacation and all the wonderful memories we made. I'm already dreaming of going back to London again someday! If you ever get the chance to visit, you absolutely have to go. Cheerio!。
