In conjunction, Season leverages our supply-chain and sourcing relationships to address and reduce material and component costs during the design phase of a product.New Product IntroductionThe New Product Introduction process is one of the most important processes in contract manufacturing. A Customer Team will be set-up to manage the activities associated with the customer’s program. The Customer Team will be led by a Program Manager from Customer Service Organization.Other members of the Core Customer Team will be a Materials Specialist (Purchasing), Manufacturing Engineer(s), Test Engineer(s), Production Control Specialist(s), Customer Service Coordinator(s) as well as MaterialPlanning Coordinator(s). As the product is ramped to production, the team will be increased or modified to address the main issues of the program.PrototypeSeason’s prototype services are provided by facilities and personnel specifically focused on providing high quality samples. Within 5 days of prototype shipment, Season will provide detailed DFM reports for each build.Program ManagementAt Season, all customers are assigned a program team. From concept to completion Season will design the optimal tooling in a timely fashion so that our customers can bring products to market faster. With the use of Mold flow analysis during tool design the part molding is optimized in the early stages of development.After molding, parts are measured by our Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure that all dimensions are within tolerance. Having tool shops in Canada and China allows Season Components to offer a worldwide guarantee on its mold and dies.Plastic injection moldingWith machines ranging in size from 45 tons to 1300 tons a variety of parts can be molded to suit the customers' requirements. Secondary cosmetic finishes for plastic components are also available to provide many different and durable textures.Capabilities:∙dual mold∙gas assist∙in mold decoration (IMD)∙insert molding∙structural foam molding∙silkscreen, spraying, hot stamping and transfer printing ThermoformingSeason is capable of both thin (0.15 – 2 mm) and thick (2 – 10 mm) gauge thermoforming. Products that can be manufactured vary from simple plastic packaging to thick plastic housings. Thick gauge molding is used mainly for low volume productions and large sized parts having maximum dimensions of 1 m x 1.5 m x 0.6 m.This allows Season to manufacture plastic housings for customers with relatively low investment on the tool. As the customer’s market becomes established Season can then provide new tooling for injection molding to handle production volumes. This enables Season to ensure quality parts at lower cost for the customer.System IntegrationBeing vertically integrated, Season can manufacture simple components to complete box builds for our customers.
