Module 9 Cartoon Stories各位老师,大家好! 今天我说课的内容是外研社新标准英语教材初中三年级上册第9模块。

(一)模块总析:新标准英语教材是以模块为单位进行编排的,每模块包括三个单元,围绕同一个话题展开对同一个语法点的学习、练习和应用。

本模块是以“Cartoon Stories”为话题,通过介绍几个著名的卡通形象,包括尼莫,史瑞克,史努比,丁丁以及中国的孙悟空,开展听,说,读,写活动激发学生学习热情,并展开对“定语从句”的学习、练习和应用。

本模块的第一单元,是一节听说课,着重培养学生听懂对话中人物的情感,提出建议的方式方法,学会询问,提供有关卡通的信息。

所以第一单元通过对句型的操练,着重培养学生运用话题词汇和定语从句获取信息,表达思想的的听说能力。

本模块的第二单元,是一节读写课,重在让学生读懂介绍卡通人物的文章,能够运用定语从句描写自己所喜爱的卡通作品或卡通人物。

即运用话题词汇和定语从句理解和表达的能力。

本模块的第三单元,是一节语言综合运用课,重在让学生在具体语境题目的操练中,从听说读写四个方面对本模块的词汇和定语从句进行综合练习,运用和巩固。

所以第三单元着重培养学生对本单元语法的综合运用能力。

(二)学情分析:学生在7,8模块中,学习了that, which,who引导的定语从句。

这就要求我们在这一模块学习定语从句时,必须涉及到that,which,who定语从句的各种形式以及区别。

而学生通过7,8模块的学习对这几类定语从句已经有了掌握,这就为本模块定语从句的系统化学习作好了知识上的铺垫。

对于本单元的话题Cartoon stories学生比较感兴趣,这就为本节课的开展做好了情感上的铺垫。

Module 9 Cartoon stories一、学习内容、目标与要求题目Cartoon stories题材内容本模块以卡通人物为话题,介绍了几个著名的卡通形象,包括尼莫、史瑞克、史奴比、丁丁以及中国的孙悟空。

这些形象为学生所熟知、喜爱。

借助这一话题开展听、说、读、写活动可以激发学生的学习热情,有助于教学活动的设计。

教学目标语言知识目标功能能够掌握咨询和提供信息的方式;谈论卡通人物。

语法能够掌握定语that, which, who引导的从句,以及引导词的省略。

One of的用法one of 后接可数名词的复数,谓语动词用单数形式,e.g. Tom is one of the boy students in our class.One of the most beautiful cities is Beijing.2. we need someone like superman who can save Tony.我们需要一个像超人的人来拯救托尼。

need的用法(1)用作实义动词,意为“需要”如:Does he need to know the news? 他必须知道这消息吗?need作定义动词,同其他定义动词一样,有人称和时态的变化,其疑问和否定形式都要借助于助动词do/ does/ did。

e.g. Do you need any help? 你需要帮忙吗?I don’t need your comments, thank you. 谢谢,我不需要你来评头论足。

(2)need作用情态动词,无时态,人称变化,多用于疑问句或否定句中。

如:①Need we leave soon? 我们必须很快离开吗?②He need not buy too much. 他不必买得过多。

(3)need用作名词,如:A friend in need is a friend indeed. 患难之交才是真朋友。

3. I’m looking for Tony. 我在找托尼。

look for的用法look for意为“寻找”,是有目的地找,强调“寻找”这一动作。

I don’t find my pen,I’m looking for it everywhere.我没有找到我的钢笔,我正到处找。

He is looking for his shoes. 他在找他的鞋子。

4. Shall I give it to him? 我可以转交给他吗?shall I...? “我可以……”表示征求意见类似的用法:①Let’s...②Why not/ why don’t you...?③What/ how about...?5. he’ll be in deep trouble. 他将会有更大的麻烦。

be in trouble 处在困境中We shouldn’t laugh at a man who was in trouble.我们不应该嘲笑一个处在困难中的人。

6. It may not be very funny. 这或许不好笑。

may be的用法maybe用在句首,may be用在句中,例如:I may be...Maybe I...may be的结构是情态动词加动词原形,不是单独的一个单词,而maybe是一个单独的单词,如果句中有谓语动词就用maybe,无就用may be。

其基本结构为:as+ adj./ adv. +as。

例如:1)This film is as interesting as that one.这部电影和那部电影一样有趣。

2)Your pen writes as smoothly as mine.你的钢笔书写起来和我的一样流畅。

其否定式为not as/so +adj./ adv. +as。

例如:This dictionary is not as/so useful as you think.这本字典不如你想象的那样有用。

若有修饰成分,如twice, three times, half, a quarter等,则须置于第一个as之前。

例如:Your bag is twice as expensive as mine.你的袋子比我的贵一倍。

(2)几个关于as...as的常见句型:1)as...as possiblePlease answer my question as soon as possible. 请尽快回答我的问题。

2)as well asShe cooks as well as her mother does. 她烧菜烧得跟她母亲一样好。

3)as long as... (引导条件状语从句)It took us as long as three years to carry out the plan.我们花了长达三年的时间才完成这项计划。

4)as far asHe walked as far as the railway station yesterday evening.昨天傍晚,他一直散步到火车站。

2. A huge green monster have won the hearts of young people in China and all over the world.一个庞大的绿色精灵,已经赢得中国和全世界的年青人的心。

A huge的用法huge强调尺寸、体积“庞大”,容量和数量“巨大”。

指体积时,比large,great所指的体积大,但不强调重量。

He lived in a huge house. 他住在一个很大的房子里。

He has a huge sum of money. 他有一大笔钱。

big“大的,巨大的”,常指程度,范围,规模,容积,重量,数量等(还可表示“伟大,重要”之意)常可与large 互换,多用于具体的、有形的人或物(其反义词多为little/small。

)如:This is a big cock.这是只大公鸡。

There is a big tree beside the house.房子旁边有一棵大树。

B win的用法win的意思是“赢”、“获胜”、“得到成功”,在作为及物动词时,它的宾语往往是奖品、奖学金、名誉、财产、战争或运动等等。

如:(1)Mary won the first place in the competition.玛丽在竞赛中获得第一名。

(2)He won three second places in the seven events.他在七项比赛中得了三个第二名。

beat译成汉语也有“赢”、“取胜”、“战胜”之意。

但跟win的用法不同,这个动词后面跟的是比赛、竞争中的对手或战争中的敌人。

如:①I beat John at chess yesterday. 昨天我和约翰下棋并赢了他。

②We beat their team by 5:4. 我们以五比四战胜他们队。

③I'll beat you to the top of that hill. 我们比赛看谁先到山顶上,我将赢你。

3. ...when they return to the house or office and see a mess.return用法:(1)“返回”,相当于“go back / get back / come back.如:Ann will visit you when he returns to London.(当“返回”时是不及物动词,先加to才可再加地点。

另外,return已含有back的意思,后不可再跟back.)(2)“归还”,相当于“give back”如:I have returned the dictionary.(当“归还”时是及物动词,后直接加物,若再接人时方可加to. 同样不可再跟back. 如:You should return the piano to Dick on time.)Unit3 Language in use1. I can’t remember. 我记不起来了。

(2)Remember to write us when you get there.到了那儿别忘了给我们写信。
