4. The tiger's lunch本课的小短剧“The tiger's lunch”讲的是贪婪的老虎觅食的故事。
老虎先后抓到了老鼠、兔子和山羊，但都因为嫌太小，把它们放掉了，最后去抓鹿，但因为鹿跑得太快，抓不到，只好饿肚子。
这个故事说明做任何事情都不可太贪心。
文章中的句子“I want something to eat.”意思是“我要找些东西吃。
”不定式短语to eat 修饰something,这个句子只要能理解和会说即可，不要求掌握，更不要做语法分析。
在句子“You can catch a big one.”中，one是不定代词，此处代表deer。
因为one已有“一”的意思，因此不可在前面加冠词a，但当one前有形容词时，则可加a,如可说a big one, a small one, a short one等。

导入新课可将简笔画情景教学法和自问自答表演法结合起来，教师可将11幅图全部出示给学生看，同时写出关键词，然后指着图自问自答表演对话，如先指着第一图说“I am a tiger．I'm hungry．I want something to eat．”边说边用手捂住肚子表示肚子饿。
然后指着第二图说“Oh．a rat is over there．This is my lunch．”边说边指稍远处，脸上露出欣喜的表情。
再指第三图，并做向前扑食和抓到老鼠的动作，同时说“Haha!You are my lunch”再转过身来充当老鼠，战战兢兢地说“Don't eat me，please．”再转过来充当老虎，露出疑惑不解的神情说“Why?”再按同样的方法继续表演下去，直到把11幅图的内容全部表演完中。
