My Joyful Middle School LifeAs the sun rises in the east, my day at middle school begins with a burst of energy and enthusiasm. The school gates open wide, welcoming me into a world of knowledge and fun. My heart skips a beat as I walk through the familiar corridors, past the bustling canteens and lively playgrounds, to my classroom. My classmates and I are like a family. We share laughter, tears, and everything in between. Our teachers are not just educators; they are mentors and friends who guide us through the challenges of adolescence. The subjects taught in class are not just about exams; they are about exploring the world, understanding society, and developing our minds. Each day is filled with activities that make my school life vibrant and exciting. There are sports competitions where we showcase our athletic prowess, cultural events where we exhibit our talents, and academic competitions where we test our knowledge. These activities not only help us develop our skills but also bring us closer together as a community. My favorite part of the day is lunchtime. The canteen is always abuzz with activity as students gather to enjoy a variety of delicious food. The aroma of different cuisines fills the air, making my mouth water. It's a time for relaxation and catching up with friends, sharing stories and laughter. After school, I often participate in extracurricular activities such as music clubs or volunteer work. These activities give me an opportunity to pursue my passions and make a difference in the community. They also help me develop important life skills like teamwork, leadership, and responsibility. As the sun sets, I return home with a sense of fulfillment and happiness. My days at middle school are filled with learning, fun, and growth. I cherish every moment of it and look forward to what the future holds.**我快乐的中学生活**随着太阳从东方升起,我在中学的一天也充满了活力和热情。

如何做一个快乐中学生的英语作文

如何做一个快乐中学生的英语作文

如何做一个快乐中学生的英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Being a Happy Middle School StudentHey there! My name is Billy and I'm in 5th grade. A lot of my older friends are in middle school now and they told me it can be a tough few years. There's more homework, harder classes, and you have to deal with all the physical and emotional changes of going through puberty. Yikes! That sounds like a lot to handle. But I've been talking to my middle school friends and teachers, and I've got some great tips to share on how to make the most of those years and be a happy middle school student. The first key is to have a positive mindset. I know it's easier said than done when you're stressed out about tests, feeling awkward around your crushes, and just trying to figure out who you are. But staying positive and looking on the bright side can make a huge difference. My friend Jamal said he tries to start each day thankful for three things in his life, even little stuff like his comfy sneakers or that his mom makes good lunches. Having that attitude of gratitude helps him not sweat the small stuff.Speaking of not sweating stuff, don't put too much pressure on yourself to be perfect! You're going to mess up sometimes, get a bad grade, say something embarrassing, or make a mistake. That's all part of growing up. The important thing is to learn from it, don't beat yourself up too much, and move on. Michael told me he used to get really down when he bombed a test or didn't make the basketball team. But then he'd remind himself that one failure doesn't define him. Just try your best, be kind to yourself, and keep working hard. And that hard work is so important for being a happy middle schooler! Develop good study habits like making a schedule, taking breaks, and asking for help when you need it. Don't leave big assignments for the last minute because then you'll just stress yourself out. It's way easier to stay on top of your work bit by bit. Also, get enough sleep! I know you'll be tempted to stay up late snapchatting your friends or watching TikTok, but running on no sleep is a recipe for crankiness. You've also got to take care of your body and mind. Make sure you're eating fairly healthy by getting in some fruits and veggies. Drink lots of water and get regular exercise, even if it's just going for a walk or shooting hoops with your buddies. Exercise is awesome for relieving stress and lifting your mood.Speaking of mood, don't be afraid to ask for help if you're feeling really sad, anxious, or angry a lot of the time. There's no shame in talking to a counselor or therapist to get tools for managing difficult emotions in a healthy way.Making friends who build you up instead of bringing you down is also clutch for being a happy middle school student. Having a few close friends you can really trust and be yourself around makes the whole experience so much better. You've got to have people who've got your back, who you can vent to about problems, celebrate successes with, and just have fun hanging out. Dump any toxic friends who are dragging you down with negativity or peer pressure to do stuff you're uncomfortable with.At the same time, don't be afraid to branch out and meet new people! Middle school is a great time to explore new interests and hobbies through clubs, sports, volunteering, and other activities. You'll make new friends who share your passions and it'll help break up the monotony of classes. My friend joined the Science Team and even though it's a lot of work, it's been a nice escape from school stress. He likes being around a bunch of other kids who think science is cool.Just don't overcommit yourself and jam your schedule too full. It's all about balance. Make sure you leave time for hanging with friends, pursuing hobbies you enjoy just for fun, and much needed relaxation. I'm serious about that relaxation part! Give yourself outlets to de-stress like reading for pleasure, listening to music, playing video games, or whatever mellows you out. A little downtime goes a long way.Lastly, cut yourself some slack and don't put too much pressure to have this "life-changing middle school experience" or be some totally different person overnight. You're still growing and changing at your own pace, so don't get discouraged if you don't have this crazy glow-up right away. Just focus on being the best version of yourself, whatever that looks like. Be confident in who you are, even if you're still figuring that out! As long as you put in the effort to take care of your physical and mental health, keep an optimistic outlook, and surround yourself with positive people and influences, you'll be well on your way to being a happy, thriving middle school student. Those were my tips from talking to awesome middle schoolers and their teachers. I hope you found it helpful! Just keep being you and have an amazing few years. You've got this!篇2Being a Happy Middle School StudentHi there! My name is Emma and I'm in 5th grade. My older brother Jack is in 8th grade at the middle school, and I can't wait to go there next year! Being in middle school seems like such an exciting new adventure. But I've also heard that it can be stressful and overwhelming at times. That's why I've been observing my brother closely and talking to him about his experiences. I want to learn all the secrets to being a happy and successful middle school student! Here are some tips I've picked up:Have a Positive MindsetThis is probably the most important thing. If you go into middle school feeling anxious, scared or negative, you're already setting yourself up for an unhappy experience. Instead, try to get excited! Think about how you're growing up and getting more independence. You'll get to change classes, join new clubs and activities, and make a ton of new friends. There will be challenges for sure, but if you face them with a positive, can-do attitude, you'll be just fine.Get OrganizedMiddle school means having lots of different classes, activities, homework assignments and due dates to keep track of.If you're not organized, it's really easy to feel stressed and overwhelmed. My brother uses a planner to write down all his assignments, tests, club meetings, etc. He also uses different folders and binders for each class to keep his work separated. Getting into good organizational habits early on will make your life so much easier!Make New FriendsYou're going to meet loads of new people in middle school from different elementary schools. Don't be shy - put yourself out there and be friendly! Join some clubs or sports teams to meet kids who share your interests. Sit with different people at lunch sometimes instead of the same group. And remember, everyone feels a little anxious about making friends, so don't be afraid to be the one who says hi first.Study SmartThe academics definitely get harder in middle school. You can't just cruise by on your academic skills from elementary school. You need to develop good study habits like:• Paying attention in class and asking questions if you don't understand something• Staying organized with your notes and materials• Starting on assignments well before the due date, not the night before• Finding a quiet, distraction-free place to get your work done• Taking breaks when you need them so you don't feel burned outGet InvolvedThere are so many great clubs, activities, and sports to try in middle school. This is your chance to explore new interests and discover new passions! Of course, you can't do everything or you'll be way too overscheduled. But don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and sign up for something that looks fun and interesting. Extracurriculars are a great way to make new friends too.Ask for HelpMiddle school is a big transition and it's totally normal to feel confused, stressed or struggle sometimes. The good news is there are a lot of people who can help! If you're having a hard time with a class, ask the teacher for extra help or look into tutoring. If you're dealing with personal issues like bullying, friend drama or just feeling overwhelmed, talk to the schoolcounselor or your parents. Don't be embarrassed - everyone needs a little help sometimes.Be YourselfI know this can be hard with all the pressures of trying to fit in and be "cool" in middle school. But you'll be a lot happier if you have the courage to just be your authentic self. Don't change the way you dress or act just to seem a certain way. Surround yourself with friends who like and accept you for who you are. Stay true to the hobbies, interests and values that are important to you. Middle school is for discovering and embracing what makes you unique! As long as you go in with a positive attitude, develop good habits, make friends and stay true to yourself, you're going to have an awesome middle school experience! There will be ups and downs for sure, but don't get discouraged. If you ask for help when you need it and believe in yourself, you can overcome any challenges. Middle school is going to be so much fun - I can't wait for my turn!篇3How to Be a Super Happy High Schooler!Hi friends! Today I'm gonna tell you all about how to be a really really happy student when you get to high school. High school is lots of fun but it can also be kinda stressful with all the homework, activities, and trying to make new friends. But don't worry - I've got some awesome tips that will keep a smile on your face all four years!Tip #1: Get Plenty of SleepThis one is super important! When I don't get enough sleep, I feel grumpy, have no energy, and can't concentrate on my schoolwork. Aim for around 9-10 hours per night. That may sound like a lot but you're still a growing kid in high school. Not getting good rest can lead to being moody and having headaches which definitely won't make you happy. Establish a chill bedtime routine too like taking a warm bath or reading for 30 minutes before lights out.Tip #2: Eat Healthy FoodJust like sleeping, what you put in your body as fuel is crucial for feeling good mentally and physically. Start your day with a nutritious breakfast like oatmeal with fruit or eggs and whole wheat toast. Pack a healthy lunch and snacks from home so you're not tempted by junk food from the vending machines. Be sure to drink lots of water throughout the day too instead ofsugary sodas and juices. Taking care of your body allows you to be at your best.Tip #3: Exercise RegularlySpeaking of taking care of your body, you'll for sure want to get regular exercise. Playing sports is awesome for this but any physical activity counts like riding your bike, going for a jog, or even just walking a few miles per day. Exercise boosts your energy levels and releases endorphins that improve your mood. It's also a great way to blow off steam and relieve stress from academic pressure. Get that body moving!Tip #4: Get InvolvedHigh schools have tons of clubs and activities you can join. This is such a fun way to explore your interests, make new friends, and get a break from schoolwork. Are you really good at math? Join the academic decathlon team! Love being active? Try out for the soccer or basketball squad. You can also start your own club for something you're passionate about if your school doesn't already have it like chess, recycling, or coding. Extracurriculars give you a chance to pursue your hobbies but in a productive way.Tip #5: Keep Things BalancedWith all those potential activities, it's easy to go overboard and take on too much though. That's why balance is key! Don't join every single club or your grades may suffer from lack of study time. It's also important to schedule breaks and chill time into your week, even if it's just one evening per week to hang out with friends. If you're overloaded and stressed, step back and reprioritize. Trying to do it all is the quickest way to burn out.Tip #6: Build Positive FriendshipsSpeaking of friends, having an awesome support system is crucial. Surround yourself with people who motivate you to be the best version of yourself and make good choices. Look for friends with similar values and interests. At the same time, don't be afraid to make new friends from different backgrounds too since that expands your horizons. Just steer clear of anyone who brings you down or pressures you into anything sketchy. You want to vibe with folks who make you smile!Tip #7: Take Study BreaksDoing well academically is definitely important, but that doesn't mean you have to be a workaholic. Burnout is real, my friends! Be sure you're taking breaks while studying. Maybe do 50 minute sessions with 10 minute breaks to relax your mind before diving back in. You can do things like grab a healthy snack, stretch, or even take a power nap. Just don't let your "breaks" turn into longer periods of procrasti-nating. Moderation is everything!Tip #8: Don't ProcrastinateSpeaking of procrastinating, make sure you're not leaving everything to the last minute. That's just asking for overwhelming stress. Use an agenda or planner to map out all your assignments, projects, tests, and activities. Then make a plan for getting it all done little by little, not all at once at 2am the night before something's due! You'll have a much better attitude when you're caught up and don't feel buried by a crazy workload.Tip #9: Ask for Help When NeededSometimes we all struggle and need a hand, so don't be afraid to ask for help! Talk to your teachers after class if you're confused about certain lessons or materials. Approach the school counselor if you're dealing with major stress, anxiety, or just need someone to listen. They're there to support you! You can also ask friends and classmates for assistance, like forming a study group. It never hurts to ask for clarification or aid.Tip #10: Practice PositivityLast but definitely not least, make an effort to look on the bright side! It's easy to get bogged down by all the demands of high school life. However, your mindset makes a huge difference. Try starting every day by watching or reading something uplifting and motivational. Jot down a few things you're grateful for in a gratitude journal. Visualize your goals and dreams. Spend time with positive people. And don't beat yourself up if you make a mistake - adjust your attitude and keep pushing forward!Well there you have it friends - ten tips to help you embrace high school and be your happiest self! It's not always easy but making your mental health and well-being a priority will allow you to enjoy these awesome years. Don't get overwhelmed by every little thing. Roll with the punches, believe in yourself, work hard, and have fun! You've got this!。

从音乐中学到了什么英语作文

从音乐中学到了什么英语作文Music has always been an important part of my life. It's not just something that sounds nice in my ears, but a teacher that has taught me many valuable lessons. One time, I joined a school music club. There was a performance coming up and we were all preparing for it. I was chosen to play the guitar for a song. At first, I thought it would be easy. But boy, was I wrong! The practice sessions were tough. My fingers hurt from pressing the strings, and I kept messing up the chords. I was so frustrated and almost wanted to give up. But my bandmates wouldn't let me. They encouraged me and said, "Come on! We can do this together. Just keep practicing!"Our instructor was a really cool guy. He would patiently show me how to play the tricky parts over and over again. "Relax your hand," he'd say. "Feel the rhythm."One day, during a practice, I finally got it right. The sound coming from my guitar was smooth and in harmony with the others. Everyone cheered and I felt a huge sense of achievement. From that experience, I learned that perseverance pays off. Just like in music, when you keep trying and don't give up, you eventually reach that sweet spot. Also, I learned the power of teamwork. Without my bandmates' support and the instructor's guidance, I wouldn't have been able to make it.Music has taught me that there's beauty in the process of learning and growing. It's not always about being perfect from the start, but about enjoying the journey and the effort you put in.So, that's what I've learned from music. It's not just about the notes and the beats, but the life lessons hidden within the melodies.。

AOne day when I was 12, my mother gave me an order: I was to walk to the public library, and borrow at least one book for the summer. This was one more weapon for her to defeat my strange problem inability to read.In the library,I found my way into the "Children's Room." I sat down on the floor and pulled a few books off the shelf at random. The cover of a book caught my eye. It presented a picture of a beagle. I had recently had a beagle, the first and only animal companion I ever had as a child. He was my secret sharer, but one morning, he was gone, given away to someone who had the space and the money to care for him. I never forgot my beagle. Without opening the book—Amos, the Beagle with a Plan ,1 borrowed it from the library for the summer.Under the shade of a bush, I started to read about Amos. I read very, very slowly with difficulty. Though pages were turned slowly, I got the main idea of the story about a dog who, like mine, had been separated from his family and who finally found his way back home. That dog was my dog, and I was the little boy in the book. At the end of the story, my mind continued the final scene of reunion, on and on, until my own lost dog and I were, in my mind, running together. My mother's call returned me to the real world. I suddenly realized something: I had read a book, and I had loved reading that book.I never told my mother about my “miraculous” experience that summer, but she saw a slow but remarkable improvement in my classroom performance during the next year. And years later ,she was proud that her son had read thousands of books, was awarded a PhD in literature, and authored his own books, articles, poetry and fiction. The power of the words has held.1. The author's mother told him to borrow a book in order to ________.A. let him spend a meaningful summerB. encourage him to do more walkingC. help cure him of his reading problemD. make him learn more about weapons2. The book caught the author's eye because .A. it reminded him of his own dogB. he found its title easy to understandC. it contained pretty pictures of animalsD. he liked children's stories very much3. Which one could be the best title of the passage?A. Mum's Strict Order.B. My Passion forReading.C. Reunion with My Beagle.D. The Charm of a Book.BThis past year, I've found myself returning again and again to lines of poetry by Emily Dickinson. Like many people, I've needed the curing effects of reading more than ever. As scientists and psychologists will tell you, books are good for the brain and their benefits are particularly vital now.Books expand our world, providing an escape and offering novelty, surprise and excitement. They broaden our view and help us connect with others. Books can also distract us and help reduce ourmental chatter. When we hit the “flow state" of reading where we're fully lost in a book, our brain's mode network calms down. It's a network of brain that is active and gets absorbed in thinking and worrying endlessly when we are not doing anything else. There is so much noise in the world right now and the very act of reading is kind of meditation. You disconnect from the chaos around you.You reconnect with yourself when you are reading. And there's no more noise. In 2020, the NPD Group recorded the best year of book sales since 2004. Yet even as people are buying more books, many are reporting they're having a harder time getting through them. It's difficult for your brain to focus on a book when it's constantly scanning for threats to keep you alive. Our fight-or-flight response has been consistently activated.Sometimes I picture my brain as a cartoon brain with little arms and legs, fighting with a book I am holding and screaming: “Can't you see I'm busy!” Anxiety causes our brain to produce a flood of stress, which consumes our energy and makes it harder to concentrate. Then one day in December sitting on my couch, I remembered how much I like to read"The House of Mirth" every few years around the holidays. The memory inspired me to pick up the familiar book, opened it up and started reading.I just kept going. The comfort and distraction and brain-opening experience gave me peace. So return to something familiar.4. What does the underlined part “mental chatter” in Paragraph 2 mean?A. Getting lost in a book.B. Non-stop inner anxiety.C. Chatting with the author.D. Powerful network of brain.5. What do we know about reading according to the text?A. It can treat our headache.B. It can calm down the noisy people.C. It forces us to concentrate.on thinking.D. It makes us communicate with ourselves.6. Why was it difficult for people to finish reading books in 2020?A. People bought too many books.B. The books were too difficult to understand.C. People just wanted to escape from the threat.D. The life threat disturbed people's focus on books.7. Why is the author's experience mentioned in the last paragraph?A. To rid people of concern for safety.B. To present an effective reading way.C. To wake up memories of an old book.D. To recommend the book he/she reads.CSurfing the Internet for fun will make you a better employee, according to an Australian study. The University of Melbourne study shows that people who use the Internet for their own reasons at work are about 9 percent more productive than those who do not. Study author Brent Coker said, “Surfing the Internet at times helps increase an employee's attention.”“People need to relax for a bit to get back their attention,” Coker said on the university's website. “Having a short break, such as a quick surfing of the Internet, helps the mind to rest itself, leading to a higher total Internet attention for a day's work, and as a result, increases productivity (生产效率),” he said.According to the study of 300 workers, 70 percent of people who use the Internet at work surf the Internet for their own reasons during office hours. Among the most popular surfing activities are searching for information about products, reading online news, playing online games and watching videos. “Firms spend a lot of money on software toblocktheir employees from watching videos, using social networking sites or shopping online,” said Coker. “That's not always a good idea.”However, Coker said the study looked at people who surfed the Internet in moderation (适度), or were on the Internet for less than 20 percent of their total time in the office. “Those who spend too much time surfing theInternet will have a lower productivity than those without.” he said.8. What does the University of Melbourne study mainlyshow?A. People who surf the Internet are good employees.B. Not everyone surfs the Internet for fun during office hours.C. The Internet is becoming more and more important in people's life.D. Surfing the Internet for fun at times during office hours increases productivity.9.
