Anything existence all has the dual character, therefore, we should adopt those good customs and get rid of the bad ones.Information society makes people gradually into a state of the digital life. And the spread of the internet led to a unique network language phenomenon, it happened to China’s social and the development of language based on the combination of l anguage and the network.(Anne Marie, 2008)Online communication is usually between strangers in their cultural background may be far from feelings of language , which may be very unusual. It is a communication product under development interpersonal. Chinese language has its own beauty and principles while Internet slangs are too casual and do not acquire these qualities. So Internet slangs can be used in people’s daily life but should be banned in news and formal documents. Secondly, some internet slangs are from foreign culture and this may have kind of cultural penetration, which we should avoid. News and formal documents are the platforms of the government and institution to speak out opinions and propaganda ideas to the public, so the words and expressions used in news and formal documents must be of very careful selection. Thanks to the guiding role of these official platforms playing in people’s choice making, it will surelyhave a big impact on the public to use the internet slangs in those platforms. Banning internet slangs in news and formal documents is a wise regulation and this action should spread throughout the whole.Today's internet developed highly, the internet language is not only used in the net, and more in daily life. So many people would object to its appearance, they think this will impact on culture, affecting the norms of language use. At the same time, many people do not agree with them. These people think that culture is not never change, it enriches the language and culture. Positive and Negative Effects of the Internet
The Internet is a miracle in human society for it introduces new concepts and living styles into our life. The imagined world created by the Internet offers us a window to exchange ideas, explore information and entertain ourselves at our own pace. Our traditional way of communication is undergoing a revolutionary change with new forms of communication like BBS, e-mails and online chatting becoming prevailing. And information is at our finger’s tips the in stant we are online, which facilitates the sharing and utilizing of information to the greatest extent. The coming E-commerce boom will turn e-life into a reality. The Internet, though invisible and intangible, has become an indispensable part of our life.
Meanwhile, negative effects of the Internet have posed a big problem to us. The Internet can be addictive as alcohol and threaten people’s psychological well-being. Like a kaleidoscope, the Internet presents a world of fantasies. If people live in fantasies for too long, they may become anti-social and alienated from the real world. And the Internet can be a breeding ground of crimes. Hackers aim at attacking and paralyzing sites. Vulgar rubbish and erotic sites may corrupt kids- mind.
In my opinion, the invention of the Internet is a technological breakthrough which has brought incomparable conveniences and changes to human beings. Though inevitably the Internet has given rise to new social problems, it should not be the target of criticism because it is not the fault of the Net but the fault of those who abuse it.
