最高级一般用于者以上相比,最高级前一般要加定冠词,比较级一般用于者之间的比较,被比较者用引出。

1. China has the biggest population in the world. It’s a lot bigger than the population of the US. 中国是世界上人口最多的国家,它比美国的人口要多得多。

注意:(1)指人口“多”或“少”时,一般用big/ large 或small, 而不用many或few
(2). What’s the population of China ? 中国有多少人?
The population of China is over1.3 billion.
= China has a population of over 1.3 billion. 中国有13多亿人口
It’s 8,844 meters high. 它有8,844米高。

It is … meters high (long, wide…). 它……米高(长,宽……)。

“有多长(宽,高……)”时,
将数词和数量单位放在表示长宽高的形容词前

句中living in the remaining forests 是现在分词作后置定语。

如:
