II.Teaching contents
A.To learn the content from a poster and figure out the structure of it;
B.To teach basic knowledge of the Earth to students;
C.To compare the things on Earth to that on other planets.
III.Student analysis
There are nearly 10 students who are excellent in English learning, while there are nearly 8 students with weak English foundation in Class One, Grade Seven. The students in this class are generally active and interested in oral practice, especially group work, and dare to perform in class
IV.Teaching aims
A.Knowledge aims:
1.Students can master the key sentences patterns like “there be, some..some, ...”;
2.Students can understand the main idea of each paragraph and make clear the structure of a poster as well as its genre.
B.Ability aims:
1.Students can develop their reading skills, including skimming, scanning, predicting, making use of context, collecting information and so on;
2.Students can know how to apply the learned sentence patterns to compare the Earth with other planets.
C.Emotion aims:
1.Students will be aroused attention to environmental pollution;
2.Students will be raised their awareness of protecting our home planet.
V.Teaching key and difficult points
A.Key Points:
