happen是不及物动词,意为“发生”。

表示“发生某事”时,“某事”应该放在happen前作主语,不能放在happen后作宾语。

e.g. Susan is getting ready to sleep. = Susan is getting ready for sleep.
苏珊准备睡觉了。

我们已经学过现在进行时的构成和用法,现在来学习它的疑问句形式。

当询问对方或他人是否正在做某事时,要用现在进行时的一般疑问句形式,句式为“Be (Am / Is / Are) +主语+动词-ing形式+其他?”。

Is she doing her homework? 她在做作业吗?
Are you listening to the music? 你们在听音乐吗?
Are they playing computer games? 他们在玩电脑游戏吗?
肯定回答:“Yes, 主语(人称代词) + be (am / is / are).”;
否定回答:“No, 主语(人称代词) + be (am / is / are) + not.”。

—Are you watching a new film?
—Yes, I am. / No, I’m not.

—Yes, she is. / N o, she isn’t.
当询问对方或他人在做什么时,要用现在进行时的特殊疑问句形式,其句式为“What +一般疑问句语序?”。

对特殊疑问句的回答,不能用yes或no,而要根据实际情况来回答。

一般现在时和现在进行时,两者都是表达现在的行为或
状态,但表达的意思不同。

一般现在时表示现在的状态。

2. 一般现在时表示习惯性或经常性的行为,而现在进行时表示正在进行的行为。
