From September to February each year, Dazhong Mountain in Chuxiong, Yunnan is home to more than 50, 000, 000 migratory birds (候鸟). People used to call the mountain Daqueshan, which means bird-hunting mountain.
The villagers used to hunt birds on the mountain. Then one year, they couldn’t hear birds singing. People started to worry if migratory birds would return again. In 1984, the Hongtupo Forest Police Station was set up. The officers worked on the mountain, trying to find migratory birds and stop people from hunting them. The job was really difficult. They might lose their way or meet dangerous animals.
The officers also tried to tell villagers the importance of protecting birds and other wild animals. They visited the villagers door to door and helped them with farm work. They even organized activities in schools to get their messages across to children. Now, even children know that birds are to be loved. The mountain is greener, the water is clearer, and more and more animals come to live here. It has become a
bird-protecting mountain. Many people have opened bed-and-breakfasts (民宿) for birdwatchers.
“The village has changed a lot, and we don’t hunt birds anymore,” people say. Since people have stopped hunting, the police station now mainly works to save injured (受伤的) wildlife.

The Arctic (极) is the northernmost place in the world. It is one of the world coldest places in winter. It is difficult for most animals to live there. But a few animals have their ways of living in the cold world.
Arctic foxes are one of those animals. Arctic foxes have thick white fur (厚毛皮) in the winter months. The thick fur help them to stand the cold in winter. Their long tails (尾巴) are also very thick. When Arctic foxes sleep, they will put their tails around their bodies to stay warm. And their white fur makes it difficult for other animals to find them in the snow world. There is an interesting fact that Arctic foxes’ fur is not always white. When the weather gets warmer Arctic foxes have less need to stay warm and keep away from dangers than they do in winter. So, in the summer their thick white fur gets thinner and becomes brown.
To get through the winter months Arctic foxes need to eat a lot of food. They have very sensitive (灵敏的) ears and noses. These help them to find small animals under the snow easily. However, things are terrible sometimes. If Arctic foxes can’t find enough food or the weather is very terrible, they can slow down their metabolism (新陈代谢) and stay in their snow homes for up to two weeks.
10.What’s the weather like in Arctic in winter?
11.What plays an important role in helping Arctic foxes to get through the winter? 12.Is Arctic foxes’ fur always white?

There are many ways to make movies, and one way is following points—fictions (小说), true stories and hybrids (混合型).
Most movies fall into fictions because the persons of the films are not real events (事件). The persons and events are not real, and the story can be science fiction. One example is the Batman movies, since everyone knows Batman is not a real person. I loved the movie very much when I was a child.
Another one is the true story. This kind of movie has the story of a real person or an event. One example is Lincoln. The film describes the last few months of the US president (总统) Abraham Lincoln’s life.
Finally, there is the hybrid film. In this kind of film, the writers take a real event or person and add (添加) dreaming information to make their films more interesting. The most famous example is The Perfect Storm. In this film, it makes up a story between two of the men on the fishing boat.
