Introduction & Vocabulary & Reading
Teaching objectives:
1. To introduce and develop the theme of travels in the Three Gorges.
2. To develop speaking ability by talking about the Yangtze River and the Three Gorges.
Important and difficult points:
1. Get students to understand the passage about the Three Gorges
2. Make students know the some information about the Yangtze River
3. Help students to learn some new words and some reading skills.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1.Lead-in and new words of this module
Show the students a picture about the Three Gorges. Meanwhile learn some new words
Step 2. Brainstorming
Check how much the students know about the Yangtze River
Step 3. Pre-reading---discussion
Ask students to what the writer will talk about in the following passage. (team-work with the help of some pictures and topic of this module)
Step 4.Reading
