Feast of Thanksgiving or commonly known as Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. The day originated as a harvest festival and is a time to give thanks for the bountiful harvest and all the good things in life. The celebration has been an important holiday in the United States since 1621 when the Pilgrims celebrated their first successful harvest in the New World.
Thanksgiving is not only about giving thanks; it’s also about spending time with family and friends and enjoying a delicious feast together. Traditional dishes such as turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie are cooked and served on Thanksgiving dinner. Football games and parades are also a big part of the celebration.
