Does your name have any special meaning?Well, I am not sure. I guess there is something special about it, but I never asked my grandpa this question. He is the person who gave me my name. Well, I don‟t know. It‟s just a very common girl name. Actually, I was somewhat annoyed back in high school. People always mistook me for another girl in my class who had exactly the same name.3. Why do some people change their name?To be frank, I don‟t know why bu t I can only assume that they are not very happy with their names given by others. They want to be in control of everything in their life.12. What are the advantages of studying instead of working? When studying, I only had to worry about my exams. But now, I have to worry about my unpaid bills, my mortgage and my children‟s exams.19. Do you agree that there should be a world language for everyone? Yeah, I can‟t agree more. I really feel it‟s a huge waste of time to learn a second language from other country when we can work out a way for everyone to speak the same language. I think Esperanto is a great idea.21. Do you agree that people will get married even later in the future? Why?I strongly feel that people are on the way to that, but it‟s difficul t to explain the reason. Maybe it‟s probably the increasing geographic mobility that makes we feel we have more choices when it comes to dating and marrying, so we keep thinking we can find someone better than we have.Yes, I believe so. Personally, I think people marry later partially because of a decline in the belief of a firm and long-term commitment. What‟s more, living together without getting married is no longer considered disgraceful by young people, so the question for them is “why should we get married if we can live together without a wedding?”49. Do you have brothers or sisters? No. I don‟t have brothers or sisters. Actually, I am the only child in my family. You know, most of the people about my age are the only child in their family, which is mainly due to the birth control policy in China.55. Do you prefer to live in a small family or in a large family?Well, I don‟t really care whether it‟s large or small, as long as I stay with my beloved family. Just as the saying goes, “You don‟t choose your family. That‟s the God‟s gift to you, as you are to them.”It‟s true that people living in a smaller family enjoy more mobility and independence, but if I get to choose, I would prefer a large family with relatives caring for, loving and supporting each other, which I think is more important to me.60. Do you live in a flat or a house?Well, I live in a flat. It‟s a kind of old building which has been converted into a six-floor flat house. And I live on the third floor.64. Can you describe the community you live?I moved to my new apartment only about a year ago. My community is a relatively new residential area with several high-rises around. To be frank, I don‟t even know my next-door neighbor. It seems that people all keep to themselves, which is not what I like about my community.70. Why are holidays important to you?Having a holiday is taking a break. During holidays I can do something I really I want to do, say reading a book I didn‟t finish 2 years ago or hanging around with friends to catch up things.87. How has housework changed in your family in the past few years? Obviously, household chores are no longer for women exclusively. Men are increasingly aware of the significance of sharing housework with their wives, which is beneficial for the family harmony.88. What’s your favorite sport?I‟m very into basketball, you know. I‟m a huge fan of Michael Jordon. Playing basketball is a lot of fun. For example, you get to meet new friends.89. Why is exercise good for you?It is without doubt that doing exercise can be very rewarding. It helps to control body weight, maintain strength and improve immunity. What‟s more, doing exercise helps to develop co-ordination and team spirit.99. Why do you think some people are very into extreme sports?I think the fear that drives many people away from the risks of extreme sportsmay be the same ingredient that keeps others coming back for more. For some, life is all about adventures, risks and challenges.106. Can we learn more from television or from books? Both are educational, I believe. Television appeals to young teenagers more, whereas books are attracted to older people. Personally, I‟m more into reading. Just like what people say, “if you read a lot of books, you‟re consideredwell-read; b ut if you watch a lot of TV, you‟re not considered well-viewed. 121. What do you think are healthy foods?Vegetables, of course. All vegetables are naturally low in fat and full of vitamins, minerals and fiber. Actually, vegetables are a must on my diet.To be frank, I don‟t really see the point of arranging foods into a “healthy food”class or an “unhealthy food” class. What we should realize is that it is our choice of food and our eating habit that really matters. So I feel it is really unfair to describe pizza, chips and ice cream as junk food. Without them, eating seems to be less fun.123. Can you consider why fast food restaurants in your town are popular? It‟s true that fast food restaurants like KFC and McDonald‟s are very popular here. They can be found on almost all high streets. I guess people are always ready to try some exotic foods from other countries. And these western fast food restaurants are clean, casual and comfortable, which have become fashionable social bases.131. Can you consider the difference between men and women in their shopping habits?Concerning shopping, I think men and women hold distinct attitude. For men, shopping happens when their socks wear out. However, women shop even if the wardrobes are full. Apparently, women‟s desire to shop is endless and this is something men can never understand.139. Is it helpful to teach music courses in high school?Certainly. It makes a good compensation for other courses like math and physics, which I think are very dull and boring. Singing together with my schoolmates is much more fun.140. Are there any negative effects if children are taught to play a musical instrument?Well, it is hard to say. Personally, I believe that it is undoubtedly of great benefit to a child‟s musical devel opment. However, some children who are forced by their parents to play a musical instrument don‟t really think so. Iguess they have their reasons.149. How do the old people look at young people fashion? If you ask me, though I haven‟t hit 50, I think a daringly fashionable miniskirt is always considered dangerously inappropriate by old people. But I can see why they have strong reaction. Once you hit 50, it is time to think twice about miniskirts.151. What do you think of the fashion today?“Unexplainable” is the only word for me to explain fashion. But I do feel there are many people strongly influenced by it, otherwise there won‟t be so many fashion victims walking on the streets, who wear unreasonably expensive clothes but look perfectly ridiculous.164. In what ways has tourism changed your country?I‟m not so sure but by attracting more foreign visitors, tourism helps to boost economy and create more jobs. At the same time, in order to enhance the city‟s image, the government pays more attention t o the renovation and maintenance of the infrastructure. So tourism benefits not only individuals but a country as well.168. What is the public transport like your town?I reckon the choices of public transport are sufficient here in the town. There are taxi, bus and subway which is a relatively newcomer. However, like most of the other big cities, traffic congestion was and is a serious problem. Now with the government‟s urge to revitalize automobile industry, the number of private cars is dramatically increasing, which makes the present problem even worse. 169. How do you think it could be improved? This is a question needing quite some consideration. As far as I‟m concerned, what sounds more feasible at the moment is to discourage private car driving but to schedule more public transport like buses.184. Can you consider any negative effects watching TV might cause? Undoubtedly, TV entertains people. However, TV violence is what worries parents most. In order to attract and hold audiences, TV violence has become so graphic that children may be more likely to behave in aggressive or harmful ways towards others. The effects of television seem to be more intensive on younger viewers. The more time children spend watching TV, the less time they are spending doing other important activities like reading, getting exercise, being outdoors and talking with families. Consequently children have such problems like lower reading scores, obesity and poor physical fitness.190. Do you think festivals are important for a country?Yes, I think so. Every country has traditional festivals. These festivals, apart from its religious importance, also help in creating social, cultural and emotional bonds among people. Besides, people get to have holidays during big festivals like Chinese New Year.192. How do you compare the Chinese festivals with the western festivals? As far as I know, western festivals are counted according to solar calendar, whereas Chinese festivals use lunar calendar. That‟s why Chinese New Year is not the first day of the year on solar calendar. One another difference is that Chinese festivals are not as religious as the western ones.196. Do you agree that weather could affect people’s mood or personality?I think so. From what I read in the book, when we are exposed to sunlight, our body makes lots of Vitamin, which produce a substance in the brain to affect our mood. If we don‟t have enough of this substance, we can become depressed.I guess certain amount of sunbath makes us happier.201. How do you usually make friends?Frankly speaking, I‟m not the sort of person who always takes the initiative to say hi to a total stranger. So most of my high school and college friends are either my next seat fellow or dorm mate. It is the geography that makes people and me much closer.203. Do you think friends are important to your life?Certainly. Friends are not only those who we have fun with; they are the people we turn to for help. Besides, our relationships with friends partially determine our preferences, attitudes and values. Friends always share something in common.206. What is the relationship between colors and personality?I firmly believe that different personality types are influenced by different shades of colors. I think those outgoing and enthusiastic people prefer warm colors like yellow, peach and beige. For those sensitive and shy people, blue and purple are their favorites.PART TWOSample Answers(These sample answers are for your reference only.)Describe a person you like most in your family.Describe a family member you are close to.Describe a person who is similar to you in your family.Describe a person you admire. The person I like most in my family is my mother. My mum is a petite woman with short wavy hair. She is in her mid 40s but still looks quite young for her age. My mum works in a primary school. She teaches Chinese. She is very patient and gentle so the children in the school love her and so do the neighbor kids. When staying with young children, my mum always looks young and passionate. People all say that I look like my mum more than my father. I have got my mother‟s big eyes and high cheekbones. In many ways, we share many interests in common. We both like listening to pop music and watching comedies. On weekends, we often go shopping together. But we are also different. My mum fancies exotic plants and she loves gardening. Our balcony is always green throughout the year. But I have no idea about gardening, no interest at all. To me, my mum sometime is more like a friend. We share many things and do a lot of things together. She is very supportive and encouraging. She always gives me advice on my study and work but she never controls me. She lets me choose my own path in my life. So, yes, my mum is the one I like most in my family.Describe a person you admire.Describe a family member you are close to.The person I admire is my father. My father is a stocky man of average height. He is in his mid fifties. He‟s got small eyes and wears a moustache. He is also going a bit thin on top. In fact, he is going bald. My father is not attractive but he is the person who has always provided encouragement and support for my family. He displays strength and toughness but has never failed to express his love for me and my mother. He is very sincere and loyal to his friends and family. He is not a rich man but he has provided well for his family by working hard. My father has made huge sacrifices to save enough money to educate me through university and to buy a good apartment in the city centre. My father lives a small but valuable life. In my mind, he is a great man with many outstanding qualities.。

中国梦美国梦英文总结
中国梦美国梦英文总结:英文美国中国美国梦和中国梦的区别中国梦美国梦异同中国梦是什么英文篇一:英文美国和中国梦American Dream and Chinese DreamAmerican Dream and Chinese Dream America is one of the most powerful countries in the world. Its economy is developing rapidly. All the people are seeking to freedom, equality and happiness. On the land, people have American Dream, for this dream, they are working hard and Struggling. What’s more, American Dream inspires millions of people from home and abroad to America, for achieving the American Dream. As is known to us, American Dream is the idea that life should be better, richer and fuller, with opportunity for each one.First of all, history about American Dream .America Dream began in the discovery of North America, it was due to opening of the sea lanes and discovery of the new continent, so there were great number of settlers and immigrants poured into the United States of America, they offered premise condition to American culture. And I know that the American Dream is from a book, that book is one of my sister gave it to me - The Great Gatsby. The American Dream is great, but the American dream has gradually in taste. American Dream is the theme of the novel, the American Dream has been one of the ideal spirit is remarkable, it stems from the European Puritan religious ideals and beliefs, look at the history of the United States and the United States early literature of the American Dream early yearning countries based on equality, justice and freedom.Since 1776, generations of Americans are convinced that through hard work and struggle will be able to get a better life, that is, thepeople through their own hard work, courage, creativity and determination towards prosperity, rather thandependent on the assistance of a particular social class and others. Two hundred years, the American Dream has been an inspiration to young people all over the world came to this land to create their own value, the United States has thus become the cradle of the world's successful people. What is the real driving force behind the American Dream? Some historians believe is the thirst for wealth and chase. Matthew ·Wo Xiaoer,, Connecticut State University professor of history, said: The pursuit of money is the same in the 'American Dream' ingredients. However, it is precisely the excessive pursuit of wealth, the 'American Dream' is also sour, gradually lost its attraction for people around the world. The Wo Xiaoer in his article Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - change American Dream concept keenly observed changes in American social atmosphere for decades. If the early Americans also promotes the honesty and hard work to get rich, is becoming more and more interested in seeking a get rich quick. For example, Americans are the most respected way to get rich: playing compensation lawsuit with large enterprises, go to Las Vegas to gamble or buy lottery tickets, and participate in the prizetelevision game show. Woxiao Er, this shows that American society is gradually lost the power of hard work. From the American dream of the Chinese dream, we can see many things. See the United States after the success of China's rise. See a generation of young blood and struggle.References: 1 I have a dream ..... No matter what kind of dream it is, we need to make our best efforts to make dreams cometrue. As the proverb goes:”No one can succeed at one night!”AHowever, what lies at the root of the question is that how to make Chinese Dream come true. We can get some inspiration from the American dream and British dream.First of all, the content of American dream is that everyone who keeps his own dreams can be given a chance to make his dreams come true, no matter who he is, where he comes from or what he did. And its content varies from the emergence of the country to the development of the country. For example, in the early Puritanism, British people carry their dreams to a new content where they had to build their house and create a new society on their own. The only way out is that they must work hard and achieved success finally.Secondly, during the Westward Expansion in 18th, the government encouraged people to develop their career and family in the western region of the U.S., which improve their adventurous spirits, independent characters and creative minds. As a result, the individualism becomes an important part of their values. After World War II, the most intense motive of the people was the longing for a better life, the governments linked mass production, mass marketing, and technological improvement to an enlightened democratic spirit. To conclude, the similarities of different periods of American dream is that life will get better, that progress is inevitable if we obey the rules and work hard, that material prosperity is assured .In addition, main values in the U.S. include innovation, opportunity, cooperation, freedom, openness. In other words, everyone has an equal and inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This right is protected by Federal law. When it comes to British dream, what impress us most is the First Industrial Revolution broke out in Britain. People longer for changes in society, and it were the time. Here are some reasons for such a flourishing country. Firstly, Britain speeded up the concentrated use and specialized management of land before the Revolution ; Secondly, Overseas expansion in 17th century accelerated the speed of the concentration and accumulation of capital; Thirdly ,the country established a competitive and orderly national unity market for the Revolution ;Fourthly, legal system construction was set up the government , providing a advantageous legal environment for developing ; Fifthly ,the society respected and protected property rights and the economic interests of the individual. As we can learn from above, we can make Chinese Dream come true in somany ]-ways.Firstly, Chinese Dream consists of dreams of each common people, government officials and scientists and so on. And they can not be separated from each other and connected with other closely instead .As a result, individual vales shall be respected, which is one of important parts of American dream. We know that the people's government made for the people, made by the people, and answerable to the people. Therefore, the government shall be ready at anytime to solve the issues that people concerned .such as Housing, Education, and Medicare.Secondly, such healthy social conduct as spirits of innovation and practice shall be fostered across the country. Innovation is the source of developing and progress. And we cannot achieve anything if we make no efforts and practice. However, there is odd thing that where there are original products, there is fake one produced by illegal dealer. What’s worse ,the society take it as usual ,there is limited protection of property right .How can such a circumstance can inspired people’s passion to be creative ? Only when we advocate ourselves to what we are supposed to do but not attempt to gain achievements without any efforts can it stimulate the desire for innovation in China.Thirdly, create a fair environment for the development of society. On the one hand, legal system need to be promoted which acts at providing every citizens the chances to go after his dreams. No matter who you are ,where you are from. Everyone is born equal. Freedom and equality was ,always is and continues to be the main content of U.S. values that laid the foundation for the rapid development in the U.S.. On the other hand , the government shall listen to people ‘s constructive opinions who live at the root of social ladder.Fourthly, Strengthen comprehensive power of the country, especially hard power in economy and soft power in culture .It is considered that the development of economy is the sharp weapon to solve the social issues concerned, such as Housing ,Education and Medicare .What’s more ,we cannot ignore the far reaching influence of soft power anymore .For instance ,English has been studied as a second language by all the people around the world for over one century . And American TV series and its fast food culture gain more and more popularity in China, let alone its electronic products and traditional holidays. By contrast ,many a Chinese forget traditional holidays ,let alone protection for that. .To some extend , we call it cultural invasion. All these indicators suggest that we shall attach great importance in developing soft power which enhance Chinese sense of national identity andpatriotic feeling. That’s a significant part to conquer any difficulties in the way to the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!Xi Jinping called upon young people to dare to dream, work assiduously to fulfill the dreams and contribute to the revitalization of the nation. He called upon all levels of the Party and the government to facilitate favorable conditions for their career development. Xi told young people to cherish the glorious youth, strive with pioneer spirit and contribute their wisdom and energy to the realization of the Chinese dream.。

为什么足球是美国人最喜欢的运动的英文作文
为什么足球是美国人最喜欢的运动的英文作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Why Football is the Most Popular Sport in AmericaFootball is the coolest sport ever! It's the most popular game in America and it's easy to see why. Football is action-packed, exciting, and super fun to watch and play. There's nothing better than gathering with your family and friends on a Sunday afternoon to cheer on your favorite team. The best part of football is how hard-hitting and physical it is. The players are like modern-day gladiators battling it out on the gridiron. They crash into each other at full speed, desperately fighting for every inch of ground. Watching a linebacker lower his shoulder and lay out a running back with a bone-crushing tackle gets my heart pumping every time. The hits in football are so big and powerful that I can feel them all the way from the couch! But football isn't just about the hard hits. It's also a game of strategy and smarts. The quarterbacks and coaches have to come up with clever plays and outsmart the defense to move theball down the field. I love watching the quarterback get behind center, read the defense, and make adjustments at the line of scrimmage. Then he barks out the signals and the chaos on the field suddenly turns into an organized choreography as everyone executes their assignment. It's like a high-stakes game of chess but with 300-pound offensive linemen instead of pawns and rooks!Speaking of quarterbacks, they are the biggest stars and my favorite players. Those guys are so talented and brave. I'll never forget the time Peyton Manning threw a touchdown pass in the final seconds to win the Super Bowl after getting clobbered all game. Or when Tom Brady led his team back from a 28-3 deficit to pull off the greatest comeback ever. Those dudes are heroes and legends in my book. Not only is football super exciting, but it also brings people together like no other sport. On game day, you'll see fans of the same team wearing the same colors, chanting the same cheers, and high-fiving strangers after every touchdown. Whether you're rich or poor, young or old, everyone comes together and is united by their love for their team. It creates an awesome sense of community and camaraderie that you just don't get from other sports.Football is also woven into the fabric of American culture. The Super Bowl is practically a national holiday, with families and friends gathering for Super Bowl parties with tons of amazing food, funny commercials, and unforgettable halftime shows. Even people who don't normally watch football get swept up in the excitement. Heck, I'm pretty sure more people look forward to the Super Bowl than to their own birthdays!Beyond the Super Bowl, football represents all the things that make America great - toughness, determination, strategy, and teamwork. Just like the United States always bounces back from adversity, the best football teams have to overcome injuries, turnovers, and being down on the scoreboard. And just like America succeeded by working together, championships are won when all 11 guys on offense execute as one unit. From rags-to-riches stories of undrafted players making it big to small-town heroes becoming national icons, football embodies the idea that anyone can make it with enough hard work and perseverance, which is totally an American dream kind of thing. At the end of the day, football is just plain awesome and fun to watch. Where else can you witness extraordinary displays of athleticism, strategic geniuses matching wits, staggering displays of courage and toughness, and storybook moments of individualand team triumph? Not to mention the cheerleaders, the crunching hits, the wild celebrations, the tailgating, and so much more! Football gives you everything you could possibly want from a sport. So there you have it - that's why football is undeniably the most popular game in America. From the hard hits to the brilliant minds, from the teamwork to the traditions, from the underdog stories to the cultural impact, nothing else comes close. Football is king, and it'll be the biggest sport in this country forever and ever. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I hear the opening kickoff! Go team go!篇2Why Football is America's Favorite SportHey guys! Today I want to tell you all about why football is the most popular sport in the United States. Football is super fun to play and watch, and millions of Americans love it for many reasons. Let me explain!First off, football is an action-packed game full of excitement and drama. There's hitting, running, throwing, catching, and scoring touchdowns! Every play can be a thrilling moment. The games are like real-life battles between two teams fighting to getthe ball into the end zone. Players crash into each other at full speed, using all their strength and athleticism. It's way more physical and high-energy than other sports like baseball or golf. The hard hits and big plays make the crowd go wild with cheers! Who doesn't love seeing a wide receiver make an incredible leaping catch or a running back break away for a huge gain? The non-stop action keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.Football is also a strategic sport with a ton of thinking involved. The coaches have to come up with smart game plans using different formations and plays to outwit the other team. The quarterback is like the general on the field, reading the defense and calling the right plays at the right times. Players have to memorize a massive playbook and make split-second decisions on every snap. There's much more mental toughness required than people realize. Smart teams with clever tactics can defeat teams with superior athletes. Seeing the strategy and mind games play out is fascinating.Another big reason football reigns supreme is the strong team camaraderie and player bonding. Football squads are like tightly-knit families that bleed for each other on the field. They endure brutal practices together, sweat through intense weightroom sessions, and spend countless hours studying film. The shared commitment, trust, and sacrifice creates an unbreakable brotherhood. Having your teammate's back is more important than personal stats. When you see players celebrating together after a score or picking each other up off the turf, you can feel their special unity. Football instills noble values like leadership, perseverance, and selflessness better than any other sport. And how can we forget the electric atmosphere of football stadiums? Screaming fans decked out in team colors, cheerleaders rallying the crowd, marching bands blasting fight songs - tailgating and game days are basically American holidays! The noise, pageantry, and school spirit create an unforgettable spectacle. Churches use to be the social hubs in towns, but now those roles belong to high school football fields on Friday nights and college/pro stadiums on Saturdays and Sundays. The grand spectacle of game day is a major reason why football is so much more than just a game for millions of diehard fans.On top of all that, many kids dream of one day becoming a famous football hero themselves. We plaster our bedroom walls with posters of our favorite star quarterbacks and hard-hitting linebackers. We imitate their epic touchdown celebrations when we score in our own backyard games. Peewee leagues start kidsas early as kindergarten, giving them hopes of grit and glory. High school football phenoms get treated like celebrities in their hometowns. College teams are practically religious institutions with nationally-televised "churches". And of course, the NFL is the mecca, where elite gladiators make jaw-dropping plays on a weekly basis in front of billions of awed viewers worldwide. Few other sports can parallel the mainstream fame, admiration, and worship of gridiron idols. Finally, I can't discuss football's popularity without mentioning its deep-rooted traditions and nostalgia for many fans. The sport has been a big part of American culture for over a century. Legendary teams, classic rivalries, iconic moments, and historic games are all passed down from generation to generation like sacred folklore. Thanksgiving and turkey wouldn't be the same without watching the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys games. Fans hotly debate who the greatest players, coaches, and teams of all-time are. They bond over recreating their favorite plays in backyards or schoolyards. Football is interwoven into so many childhood and family experiences for millions. Its unifying cultural impact on our country is massive. So that's why football is the undisputed king of American sports! The extreme physicality and non-stop action keeps you glued to every minute. The strategic manoeuvring showcases elite mental toughness. Players display unmatched unity, grit, and sacrifice. Game days deliver spectacles of pageantry and passion. Kids worship the superstars and chase football glory themselves. And the traditions run deeper than any other sport. Football combines brawn, brains, brotherhood, thrills, fame, and nostalgia in one hard-hitting package that has captured America's heart. From the NFL superstars to the Pee-Wee players, you can sense the special bond that makes this game bigger than just Xs and Os. That's the awesomeness of America's undying obsession with football!篇3Why Football is the Most Popular Sport in AmericaFootball is the coolest sport ever! It's the most fun to play and to watch. That's why it's the favorite sport for so many Americans, including me and all my friends. There are lots of reasons why football is just the best.First of all, football is action-packed from start to finish. The game moves really fast with the players constantly running, throwing, catching, and tackling. There's always something exciting happening! Other sports like baseball or golf can sometimes be a little boring because there are periods where not much is going on. But in football, the plays keep coming one after another, so you never have to wait long for the next big moment. The hits and tackles in football are another huge part of what makes it so thrilling. The players are gigantic and incredibly strong. When they collide, it's like a massive explosion of power and momentum. You can actually feel the impacts even if you're just watching on TV! Seeing those huge guys smash into each other is just about the most intense thing you'll ever witness in sports. Other games don't come close to having that kind of bone-crunching action.Speaking of those players, the athletes in football are like superheroes or gladiators. They have to be a perfect combination of size, strength, speed, and agility. Just look at a guy like Aaron Donald - he's 6 feet tall and weighs almost 300 pounds, but he can run a 40-yard dash nearly as fast as me! Plus, all those muscles and pads make the players look so powerful and intimidating, kind of like armored warriors ready to battleeach other. Kids dream about being that athletic and tough when they grow up.The strategy of football is another part of what makes it such an intelligent game. It's like a life-sized game of chess where the head coaches and quarterbacks have to out-think the other team with clever playcalling and adjustments. There are so many complex formations, schemes, and playbooks involved. You have to really study hard and use your brain, not just your brawn, to excel at the highest levels of football. That's pretty cool if you ask me.Of course, the traditions and pageantry surrounding football also make it very special, especially at the college and pro levels. The face paint, crazy outfits, tailgating parties, marching bands, fight songs, mascots, and wild fan atmospheres are all just awesome. It's like a gigantic festival or holiday celebration surrounding each game! Other sports certainly have dedicated fans, but nobody does it quite like football fans with theirover-the-top shows of passion and spirit. It's so exhilarating to be part of that experience.Plus, let's be honest - football just looks incredibly fun to play. Getting to throw that oblong ball in crazy tight spirals, sprinting and juking defenders, leaping to make an acrobaticcatch in the end zone, smashing into opponents using your customized uniforms and pads as weapons...what kid wouldn't dream of doing all that?! Even just putting on all that specialized football equipment seems like an adventure. No other game allows you to be that physical and rambunctious while still being relatively safe with all the protective gear.To sum it up, football combines sustained energy and collisions with intricate thinking and planning. It has iconic superstars, big celebrations, and opportunities for kids to release their wildness in a (somewhat) controlled environment. With all that going for it, how could it possibly not be the #1 sport in America? From NFL superstars in stadiums to high school heroes under the Friday night lights to kids just tossing the pigskin around at the park, football is simply ingrained into our culture and defines so much of what we love about sports. True fans like me will always bleed our team's colors and treat every game like it's the highest-stakes battle for glory. Football rules - and that's why we rule at football!篇4Here's an essay on "Why Football is the Most Loved Sport in America" written from a elementary school student's perspective, in English, with a length of around 2000 words:Why Football is the Most Loved Sport in AmericaYay, it's football season again! Football is the coolest sport ever, and I'm so happy that it's back. I love watching the games with my family and friends, and we get really excited when our favorite team scores a touchdown. Football is the most popular sport in America, and I'm going to tell you why it's the best!First of all, football is an action-packed game that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Unlike some other sports where the players just stand around or run back and forth, in football, there's always something happening. The players are running, tackling, throwing, and catching the ball, and you never know what's going to happen next. It's like watching a real-life action movie, but better because it's happening right in front of you.Another reason why football is so awesome is that it's a team sport. In football, everyone has to work together to score points and win the game. The quarterback has to throw the ball to the receivers, the offensive linemen have to block the defensive players, and the defensive players have to try to stop the other team from scoring. It's like a big puzzle, and everyone has to do their part to make it work. That's why it's so exciting when a team scores a touchdown because it means that everyone did their job perfectly.Football also has some of the most passionate fans in the world. When you go to a football game, the stadium is always packed with people wearing their team's colors and cheering like crazy. Even if you're watching the game on TV, you can feel the energy and excitement of the fans. It's like one big party, and everyone is there to celebrate their love for the game.Of course, football isn't just about the game itself. It's also about the traditions and the culture that surround it. From the tailgating parties before the game to the halftime shows and the post-game celebrations, there's always something fun happening. And let's not forget about the Super Bowl, which is basically a national holiday in the United States. Everyone gets together to watch the big game, eat tons of snacks, and enjoy the commercials and the halftime show. But what really makes football so special is the way it brings people together. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just someone who enjoys watching the game, football has a way of bringing families and communities together. It's a shared experience that everyone can enjoy, and it's a great way to bond with the people you love.In conclusion, football is the most loved sport in America for many reasons. It's action-packed, it's a team sport, it haspassionate fans, it has great traditions and culture, and it brings people together. But most importantly, it's just plain fun to watch and play. So grab some snacks, put on your favorite team's jersey, and get ready for another exciting season of football!篇5Why Football is the Favorite Sport of AmericansFootball is the coolest sport ever! It's no wonder that it's the most popular game in America. My friends and I are huge football fans and we love everything about it. I'm going to tell you all the awesome reasons why football is the best.First of all, football is an action-packed, high-scoring game where you get to see lots of crazy plays, hard hits, and energetic celebrations. Every game has tons of scoring and big momentum swings that make it super exciting to watch. You never know what's going to happen next! One minute a team could be way behind, and then boom - they make an incredible touchdown catch in the end zone to get right back in it. The players are always doing crazy dances and rowdy cheers after big plays too, which is funny.Speaking of the players, they are basically superhuman athletes. Football players are some of the strongest, fastest, and most athletic people in the world. The biggest guys on the field, called linemen, are like human bulldozers weighing over 300 pounds of pure muscle. But they can also move shockingly quick for their huge size. On the other side, the receivers and cornerbacks are super speedy and can run as fast as Olympic sprinters. Watching these incredible specimens clash against each other is mesmerizing.Have you ever seen a football player's arms or legs up close? Their muscles look like boulders under their skin! That's from all the insane training they have to do. They lift crazy heavy weights, run sprints until they puke, and practice hitting dummies and tackling sleds. All that hard work allows them to perform amazing feats of strength and athleticism on the field. Nothing is cooler than watching a quarterback launcher a 50-yard missile downfield or a running back dramatically leap over a defender into the end zone.Another awesome part of football is the creative plays and strategies that teams draw up. The smartest coaches are like battle generals, constantly devising new trick plays and tactical maneuvers to outwit their opponents. They'll line up informations you've never seen before, run funky misdirection handoffs, or attempt audacious deep passes when you least expect it. Basically every football game is like a giant chess match combined with feats of physical prowess. So much skill is required, from both the players and coaches.Have you ever been to an actual football game before? If not, you're seriously missing out on one of the most electric atmospheres in all of sports. A football stadium when a good team is playing is absolutely deafening. Tens of thousands of fans are screaming, chanting, banging thundersticks, playing music, and doing crazy cheers. When the home team makes a huge play, the entire place absolutely erupts in a frenzy of noise, cheering, and celebration. People paint their faces and bodies, make crazy signs and costumes, and just go bonkers rooting for their squad. There's nothing quite like that adrenaline-pumping atmosphere.Maybe the main reason why football is so popular in America, however, is because it's a huge part of our culture and traditions. Most schools have a football team and everyone looks forward to the big rivalry games each year. High school football games are like communal events where the whole town comes out to support the local kids. People tailgate in the parking lots, grill food, play games, and make a whole day celebrating their community and school spirit. The high school team's success is a huge source of civic pride. When you get to college, the football traditions get even crazier. At big universities across America, the college football team basically becomes a religion for students and alumni. Entire weeks are dedicated to preparing for the next game, everyone wears the team colors, and longstanding zany customs get followed obsessively. Ohio State fans will literally spend an entire night camped out to get the best seats. At Wisconsin games, they literally jump around between the third and fourth quarters and the whole place feels like it's going to collapse from the shaking. The annual Army-Navy game is so meaningful because of the patriotic pride and tradition associated with those military academies. At the professional level, the NFL is America's biggest sports league. Games take place every single Sunday during the fall, which has become a national ritual, almost like a holiday each week. Families and friends gather together to watch the games, eat tons of food, analyze replays in slow motion, and scream at bad calls by the referees. Having an NFL team in your city is a huge source of civic pride and identity. Going to a pro footballtailgate in the parking lot is like its own unique subculture with crazy costumes, interactive games, and the best food you've ever tasted. The drama and storylines surrounding NFL teams each season are like real-life soap operas that everyone gossips about and debates endlessly. You're probably getting the idea by now - we Americans just simply go bonkers for football! It's an incredibly exciting, dramatic, and action-packed game filled with amazing athletes and creative strategies. The game-day environments are absolutely electric. And most importantly, football is woven into the fabric of American culture and tradition from childhood through adulthood. So that's why football reigns supreme as the favorite sport of Americans. We just can't get enough of this iconic game!篇6Why Football is the Most Popular Sport in AmericaFootball is the coolest sport ever! It's way more fun to watch than boring games like baseball where people just stand around. In football, there's action on every single play with guys crashing into each other and leaping to catch the ball. No wonder it's America's favorite sport!Football is like a real-life video game out on the field. The players are like powerful warriors battling to get the oblong ball into the endzone. They have to use so much strategy to outwit the other team on every play. Will they run with the ball or throw it? Will they blitz the quarterback or drop back in coverage? There's so many exciting decisions being made in an instant! And the players are like superheroes with their awesome gear and abilities. The quarterbacks can laser the ball down the field 50 yards. The receivers can make crazy one-handed grabs while leaping through the air. And the big defensive linemen are stronger than bulldozers, pushing the offensive line wherever they want. If you tried taking a hit from one of those 300-pound monsters, you'd get smashed into a million pieces!Football also has the most amazing displays of athleticism. Have you ever seen someone hurdle a tackler like they're jumping over a gigantic stick? Or catch a ball while getting absolutely demolished by a bone-crushing hit? Those players have to be tougher than any other athletes. Getting crushed like that would make me cry like a baby! But they just pick themselves up and go again. How do they not have their bones shattered into dust after games? The plays they run are like meticulously planned military operations too. You have the head coach as the general, designing all the top-secret schemes. Then the quarterback is like the field commander, analyzing the battlefield and barking out coded orders as they line up over the ball. Then boom! The ball is snapped and all mayhem breaks loose as bodies collide in the trenches. It's like a real-life war out there! And don't even get me started on the legends of football. Guys like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Joe Montana are like the bravest warriors of all time. They've won more battles than any great military generals in history. Their skills at picking apart defenses are just mind-boggling. Then there are the hardest hitters in the game like Ray Lewis, Lawrence Taylor, and Dick Butkus who used to annihilate anyone dumb enough to go across the middle. Thinking about getting obliterated by psycho giants like them will give me nightmares tonight! The drama of football is also unmatched by any other sport. One single play can completely change the outcome of a game. Just one unfortunate fumble or tipped interception can ruin everything after battling for 3 hours. And the finishes are always crazy with teams trying miracle comebacks by flinging the ball all over the place. Who could forget heroic moments like the"Immaculate Reception" or "Philly Special" that will be remembered forever?Football even has the craziest fans too. Spending 3 hours in sub-zero weather while painted in your team's colors would be pure torture to me. But those diehards don't even flinch as they scream themselves hoarse and gobble up tons of wings and beer. Game days in places like Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Oakland are like a full-on riot with nobody caring if they lose their voice or start a bonfire with the wastepaper baskets. That's somenext-level insanity that only football can provoke! So between the hard hits, athletic freak shows, legendary icons, brilliant strategists, die-hard fanatics, and non-stop drama, is it any wonder why football dominates America? From playing in the school yard to watching with the family every Sunday, nothing else can match the pure adrenaline and craziness surrounding this sport. Football is just the undisputed champion of awesomeness!。

The Joy Luck ClubAbstractThe Joy Luck Club is written by Amy Tan,a famous Chinese American writer. In the novel, she presents the stories of four Chinese-immigrant women and their American-born daughters. Each of the four Chinese women has her own view of the world based on her experiences in China and wants to share her experiences with her daughter, and they never cease to try to build a bridge over the cultural differences and conflicts between them and their daughters with their maternal love of vari ous forms. At first the daughters don’t understand their mothers and the Chinese culture that their mothers represent, but as time elapses, the daughters begin to understand and appreciate their mothers' past and accept their mothers in the end. In fact, it is the maternal love the Joy Luck Club mothers extend to their daughters that finally makes their daughters understand them and the Chinese culture that they represent. In this sense, the maternal love not only symbolizes Chinese culture, but more importantly serves as a bridge over the mothers and daughters, and over Chinese culture and American culture.Key WordsThe Joy Luck Club; conflicts; understanding; culture; maternal love摘要《喜福会》是美国著名的华裔女作家谭恩美的代表作品。

Simon on the emergence of Thailand, there are many different versions. One of these is from India's "eunuch" evolved. Indian eunuch history can be traced back to the sixteenth century Northern India during the early formation of Islam moghul country. During the long years of the crusade, the military in a number of Muslim leaders to collect a number of specialized "yin and yang of people" (congenital gender people) is responsible for serving them to stay at home. The purpose of this is naturally in order to prevent the "backyard situation changed." As a result of these yin and yang of the salaries were high, generally are dedicated to the master, together with their physiological defects, profound loneliness of the women's apartment Court were unable to pose a threat and injury, most winners of Jane's trust. Moghul Empire, the large number of yin and yang were the main people's favor. Since then, the country's rulers and other dignitaries, have gradually formed the habit of hiring people serving of yin and yang of the customs, and gradually expanded to the whole of India. However, congenital yin and yang, after all, very few people, even if a large amount of money, it will be difficult to recruit. Yin and yang to become popular market. Thus, the livelihood of many tough men saw the market, with very primitive means surgical residual lower part of the body, or simply remove the testicles, to join the ranks of yin and yang people. Tired on an annual, which will replace the yin and yang eunuch status, similar to China's eunuch. Eunuch increase, far exceeding the demand. Thus, many seeking care less than job instead of the eunuch Gakugei school song and dance performed songs from mei means to curry favor with a living, so into the city to form a "circle eunuch." As a result of this eunuch great mobility, and slowly flowed Thailand, in Thailand this particular country where the proliferation of prosperity. There is also a statement from Thailand's own history to explain this phenomenon. Thailand is a long spread of cultural country, Thailand, the women's attitude towards sexual life differ with China. Thailand is a typical poor than being a prostitute laughter country, so any woman engaged in sex services, is generally not subject to much criticism, especially in Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Bangkok and other cities. However, apart from the way they make money other than pornography, but also have no choice, so Simon had to mess up a lot. For example, in red-light district, many brothel madams are willing to hire high-paid beautiful Shemale for soliciting prostitutes. Most people do not know, the misconception that they are female, such as Simon know when there is no way. Who are Chinese heroes
Who are Chinese heroes?--10/13/2015
从影视作品可以反应出,the heroes of Americans are imaginative, like su perman, spider man and so on. They live in the Americans’ imagination with super power and another feature of the American hero is that they always carry with the mission to save the world. And those heroes would never be dead. Always, after series of tough sufferings, they will stand out from the fateful explosion for example.Shifting to that in china, it seems we Chinese are too shy to speak of heroes. We seldom think of this topic, contrary to the fact that Americans would talk about it over and over again. I think of myself, that what is the concept of hero and who is hero. I don’t know actually. There are so many great people who are written in the Chinese history because of their fabulous contributions to china. However, there is an obvious distinction existing in the two totally different thinking ways between Chinese and Americans, in that taking me as an example, when thinking of the concept of hero, what come into my mind are series of great people who exist in the real history of our history. They didn’t have the super power, and some even a loser from some aspect like xiangyu, who failed the war and committed a suicide finally. But we still consider him as a hero, which means that in our Chinese way of thinking, it seems we don’t mind so much as Americans about the success of the heroes when discussing the concept of heroes.什么是中国英雄呢?历史上,有数不尽的杰出人物,they come from all fields, the immortal poets like libai and dufu and so on, the prodigy scientists like yuanlongping and so on, the brave soldiers like xujin and so on, our great presidents like chairman mao and president xi. So many geniuses in our history. They are all our heroes because they pursuit truth, kindness and beauty. It is they that make the world we live more comfortable and harmonious. For me, my parents are my heroes from the micro-perspectve, and from a more general one, a great president is my hero. But everyone who chase after the truth, the beauty, the kindness deserve our respect as a hero.Maybe, we, ourselves, can be heroes too.。

我不是你们心目中的那个亚裔形象My name is Canwen, and I play both the piano and the violin.I aspire to some day be a doctor, and my favorite subject is calculus. My mom and dad are tiger parents, who won't let me go to sleepovers, but they make up for it by serving my favorite meal every single day.Rice.And I'm a really bad driver. So my question for you now is,"How long did it take you to figure out I was joking?"As you've probably guessed, today I am going to talk about race and I'll start off by sharing with you my story of growing up Asian-American.I moved to the United States when I was two years old, so almost my entire life has been a blend of two cultures.I eat pasta with chopsticks. I'm addicted to orange chicken, and my childhood hero was Yao Ming. But having grown up in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Idaho, all states with incredible little racial diversity, it was difficult to reconcilemy so-called exotic Chinese heritage with my mainstream American self.Used to being the only Asian in the room,I was self-conscious at the first thing people noticed about me was, that I wasn't white. And as a child I quickly began to realize that I had two options in front of me.Conformed to the stereotype that was expected of me,or conformed to the whiteness that surrounded me.There was no in between. For me, this meant that I always felt self-conscious about being good at maths, because people would just say it was because I was Asian, not because I actually workedhard. It meant that whenever a boy asked me out,it was because he had the yellow fever, and not because he actually liked me.It meant that for the longest time ,my identity had formed around the fact that I was different. And I thought that being Asian was the only special thing about me.These effects were emphasized by the places where I lived.Don't get me wrong. Only a small percentage of people were actually racist,or, even borderline racist, but the vast majority were just a little bit clueless. Now, I know you are probably thinking, "What's the difference?"Well, here is an example. Not racist can sound like,"I'm white and you're not."Racist can sound like, "I'm white, you're not,and that makes me better than you."But clueless sounds like,"I'm white, you're not,and I don't know how to deal with that."Now, I don't doubt for a second that these clueless people are still nice individuals with great intentions. But they do ask some questions that become pretty annoying after a while. Here are a few examples. "You're Chinese, oh my goodness,I have a Chinese friend, do you know him?""No.I don't know him.Because contrary to your unrealistic expectations, I do not know every single one of the 1.35 billion Chinese people who live on Planet Earth."People also tend to ask, "Where does your name come from?",and I really don't know how to answer that,so I usually stick with the truth."My parents gave it to me.Where does your name come from?"Don't even get me started on how many times people have confused me with a different Asian person. One time someone came up to me and said,"Angie, I love your art work!"And I was super confused,so I just thanked them and walked away. But, out of all the questions my favorite one is still the classic, "Where are you from?",because I've lived in quite a few places, so this is how the conversation usually goes."Where are you from?""Oh, I am from Boise, Idaho.""I see, but where are you really from?""I mean, I lived in South Dakota for a while.""Okay, what about before that?""I mean, I lived in North Dakota.""Okay, I'm just going to cut straight to the chase here, I guess what I'm saying is,have you ever lived anywhere far away from here, where people talk a little differently?""Oh, I know where you talking about, yes I have, I used to live in Texas."By then, they usually have just given up and wonder to themselves why I'm not one of the cool Asians like Jeremy Lin or Jackie Chan,or they skip the needless banter and go straight for the,"Where is your family from?"So, just an FYI for all of you out there, that is the safest strategy. But, as amusing as these interactions were, oftentimes they made me want to reject my own culture, because I thought it helped me conform.I distanced myself from the Asian stereotype as much as possible,by degrading my own race, and pretending I hated math. And the worse part was, it worked. The more I rejected my Chinese identity, the more popular I became. My peers liked me more, because I was more similar to them.I became more confident, because I knew I was more similar to them. But as I became more Americanized,I also began to lose bitsand pieces of myself, parts of me that I can never get back, and no matter how much I tried to pretend that I was the same as my American classmates,I wasn't.Because for people who have lived in the places where I lived, white is the norm, and for me, white became the norm too.For my fourteenth birthday, I received the video game The Sims 3, which lets you create your own characters and control their lives. My fourteen-year-old self created the perfect little mainstream family, complete with a huge mansion and an enormous swimming pool.I binge-played the game for about three months, then put it away and never really thought about it again, until a few weeks ago, when I came to a sudden realization. The family, that I had custom-designed, was white. The character that I had designed for myself, was white. Everyone I had designed was white. And the worst part was, this was by no means a conscious decision that I had made.Never once did I think to myself that I could actually make the characters look like me.Without even thinking, white had become my norm too.The truth is, Asian Americans play a strange role in theAmerican melting pot.We are the model minority. Society uses our success to pit us against other people of color as justification that racism doesn't exist. But was does that mean for us, Asian Americans? It means that we are not quite similar enough to be accepted, but we aren't different enough to be loathed. We are in a perpetually grey zone, and society isn't quite sure what to do with us. So they group us by the color of our skin. They tell us that we must reject our own heritages,so we can fit in with the crowd. They tell us that our foreignness is the only identifying characteristic of us.They strip away our identities one by one, until we are foreign, but not quite foreign, American but not quiteAmerican, individual, but only when there are no other people from our native country around.I wish that I had always had the courage to speak out about these issues. But coming from one culture that avoids confrontation, and another that is divided over race, how do I overcome the pressure to keep the peace, while also staying true to who I am?And as much as I hate to admit it,often times I don't speak out, because, if I do,it's at the the risk of being told that I am toosensitive,or that I get offended too easily,or that it's just not worth it.But I would point, are people willing to admit that?Yes, race issues are controversial. But that's precisely the reason why we need to talk about them.I just turned eighteen, and there are still so many things that I don't know about the world. But what I do know is that it's hard to admit that you might be part of the problem, that, all of us might be part of the problem. So, instead of giving you a step-by-step guide on how to not be racist towards Asians, I will let you decide what to take from this talk. All I can do, is share my story. My name is Canwen, my favorite color is purple. And I play the piano, but not so much the violin.I have two incredibly supportive, hardworking parents, and one very awesome ten-year-old brother. I love calculus more than anything, despise eating rice, and I'm a horrendous driver. But most of all, I am proud of who I am. A little bit American, a little bit Chinese, and a whole lot of both.Thank you.。

Today I want to tell you all about the United States of America. It's a huge country with so many different places and people. I'll share what I've learned in school and from books and TV shows.First, let's talk about the land itself. The U.S. is made up of 50 states, plus some territories and districts. It stretches all the way from the Atlantic Ocean on the east coast to the Pacific Ocean on the west. That's really far apart! In between those two oceans, the landscape changes a ton. On the east coast, you have states like New York, famous for its big city of the same name. There are tall skyscrapers and millions of people. But head west and you'll hit the Appalachian Mountains, with beautiful forests and hiking trails.Keep going and you'll reach the Great Plains, where there are vast open prairies and farms growing crops like corn and wheat. The middle part of the country is sometimes called "flyover states" because people fly over them on planes without stopping. But they produce a lot of our food! After the Plains, you hit the mighty Rocky Mountains, with snow-capped peaks and places for skiing and snowboarding. On the other side of those is the desert Southwest, with states like Arizona and New Mexico. It's dry and hot, but has amazing red rock formations. Finally, you reach the West Coast, with California, known for beaches, movie stars, and tech companies. The forests of the Pacific Northwest are lush and green. And in between it all are major rivers like the Mississippi and the Colorado.Whew, that's just the land! The people of America are just as diverse. The country was built by immigrants from all over the world. There are people descended from Europeans, Africans, Asians, Latin Americans, and the indigenous Native Americans who were here first. With so many cultures mixed together, you can find amazing food from everywhere. Things like pizza, tacos, sushi, and more! People speak hundreds of languages too, though English is the main one. There are huge cities like New York and Los Angeles. But over 60 million people live in small towns and rural areas too. Some parts are liberal and some are conservative. You can find just about any religion practiced somewhere in the U.S.One thing that helps tie the country together is sports. Many Americans are super fans of baseball, football, basketball, hockey, or soccer. Having a team to root for gives people a sense of community and pride.Speaking of pride, Americans are known for being patriotic. The 4th of July is a big national holiday celebrating independence. You'll see lots of flags, fireworks, and parades. Symbols like the bald eagle and the Statue of Liberty represent freedom and opportunity.I feel lucky to live in a country with so much diversity. Every state, city, and person has something unique to offer. While it's impossible to capture all of America in just this short essay, I hope I've given you a little glimpse into this fascinating place. Thanks for reading!篇3The United States of America - A Vast and Diverse NationHi there! My name is Alex, and I'm a 7th grader here in the United States. My name is Jamie, and I'm a 7th grader here in the USA. I know a lot of people think the United States is just one place, but it's actually made up of 50 different states! Can you believe that? 50 states altogether make up this massive country. It's totally crazy when you think about it!Each state is kind of like its own little world. They all have their own laws, cultures, foods, accents, and even weather. Some states are hot and sunny all year round, while others are freezing cold with tons of snow in the winter. A few states even have different official languages besides English!Take California for example - that's the state I live in. We're known for awesome things like Hollywood, Disneyland, the Golden Gate Bridge, and some of the best beaches and surfing spots on the planet. But just a few states over, you've got Nevada which is famous for the dry desert climate and bright lights of Vegas. Totally different vibe! Then you've got places like New York with its massive skyscrapers and non-stop city energy. Or peaceful states like Montana with its wide open prairies and gorgeous mountain ranges. No matter where you go in this country, there's always something new and exciting to discover. And let's not forget about the national parks here - they are out of this world! Places like the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Yosemite are just mind-blowingly beautiful. With breathtaking landscapes of canyons, geysers, waterfalls, and forests as far as the eye can see. I'm telling you, nowhere else on Earth has natural wonders quite like the ones we've got here. The people of the United States come from all over too. We're a total melting pot of cultures and backgrounds. You'll find families who have been here for generations alongside brand new immigrants and refugees just arriving. And you'll hear every language you can imagine being spoken on the streets - it's so cool!I could go on and on about the food (hamburgers, pizza, BBQ, you name it!), the music (rock, hip hop, country), or the sports (baseball, football, basketball). But I think you get the idea - this is one wildly diverse and exciting place. From the East Coast to the West Coast, from the subtropical regions down south to the arctic tundras up north, the United States has absolutely everything. Massive cities, small farming towns, rugged wilderness, laid-back beach vibes - you can find it all within the 50 states. So that's just a little glimpse into my country from a kid's perspective. Is it a perfect place? Of course not - no country is. But it's a fascinating, beautiful, opportunity-filled nation that I'm proud to call home. If you ever get a chance to visit, I highly recommend it. There's truly something for everyone here in the good ol' USA!篇5The Amazing United States of America!Hi there! It was my first time traveling outside of my home country, so I was really excited but also a little nervous. The United States is a huge country with so many different cultures, foods, and interesting places to visit. I had studied about it in school, but experiencing it in person was incredible. Our first stop was New York City. I had seen pictures of the tall skyscrapers and busy streets, but it was even more incredible in real life! The city seemed to never sleep, with people hurrying about at all hours. We went to the top of the Empire State Building and I could see the entire city laid out below us. It was breathtaking! We also visited the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the 9/11 Memorial, and saw an amazing Broadway show. The food in New York was delicious too - I tried my first NewYork-style pizza and it was the best pizza I've ever had. After a few days in the big city, we traveled to Washington D.C. to learn about the nation's capital. We toured the White House (from the outside), the U.S. Capitol building, the Lincoln Memorial, and all of the amazing museums like the National Air and Space Museum and the National Museum of Natural History. My favorite was the National Museum of American History where I got to see the original Star-Spangled Banner flag, Benjamin Franklin's walking stick, and even Dorothy's ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz! I felt like I was walking through the pages of my history book. The next stop on our trip was Orlando, Florida - home to Walt Disney World! I was so excited to visit the "Most Magical Place on Earth." We spent days exploring the different Disney parks like the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. I got to meet Mickey Mouse, ride thrilling rollercoasters, and even had a lightsaber training experience at the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge land. Disney was truly a dream come true for me. We also visited Universal Studios and got to experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which was incredible for a huge Harry Potter fan like me.After all the fun and excitement in Orlando, we traveled west to the state of California. In Los Angeles, we went on a tour of Hollywood, walked along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and even put our hands in the handprints at the TCL Chinese Theatre. We also spent a day at the beach in Santa Monica, which was beautiful. The last part of our California adventure was visiting some of the amazing national parks like Yosemite, where we hiked and saw the biggest trees I'd ever seen in my life.Traveling across the United States was a whirlwind of new sights, sounds, cultures, and experiences. Every place we went was so different and unique. From the bright lights and fast pace of New York to the laid-back beach vibes of California, there wassomething for everyone. I tried so many new foods like Cajun cuisine, Texas barbecue, and classic American burgers and fries. I got to experience different ways of life, from the big cities to the small towns we drove through. Most importantly, I got to spend quality time with my family, creating memories that will last a lifetime. I learned so much about the history, diversity, and vastness of the United States. It is a remarkable country with breathtaking natural beauty from coast to coast. There were times when the jet lag and all the traveling started to make me feel homesick, but then I would remember how lucky I was to have this incredible opportunity to explore. My trip to the United States was the adventure of a lifetime, and I know I've only scratched the surface. There is still so much more for me to discover and experience in this amazing nation. I can't wait until my next visit when I'm a little older so I can dive deeper into the culture, the people, and everything that makes the United States one of the most fascinating countries in the world. This trip has sparked a lifelong passion for travel and seeing all of the wonders the world has to offer. The United States will forever hold a special place in my heart!。

Chinese-Americans chase love onlineThis Valentine s Day, many romantics found dates through 2RedBeans, an online dating service focused on matching Chinese - Americans."I met her 6 months ago through 2RedBeans and I felt a growing chemistry throughout our conversations," says Li, a Chinese-American who works for a high-tech company in Silicon Valley and declines to give his first time. "I was already in love with her before I even set eyes on her.""I was skeptical at first about using a dating website to find love," he says, adding that he had no prior experience with online dating. "I'm so glad I gave it a try."Now, they have officially been a couple for three months, and Li said he is confident about his new relationship.More and more people are finding love online. Even Zhao Qinghua, the founder of 2RedBeans, met her future husband on the website she established to help Chinese-American singles find love.Zhao, who has a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of California-San Diego, started her entrepreneurial endeavor after working at Broadcom as a software engineer."Like many entrepreneurs, I started 2RedBeans with my friends to solve our own problems, finding dates that could lead to a life partner," Zhao says.Zhao said it was difficult to meet other people with similar cultural backgrounds and values."Since popular US dating sites like and eHarmony are not focused on matchingChinese-Americans, it is often hard for us to find people who have the same cultural values," she says. In contrast, 2RedBeans' matching algorithm focused on characteristics that are more relevant to the Chinese, such as arrival date in the US and zodiac signs.Zhao and her team also decided to make the site very interactive to encourage people to communicate with each other early on."Chinese by nature are very shy, which decreases their opportunities to meet other people," she explains. "We try our best to increase the interaction and in turn to increase their chances of finding someone." Over the past three years, the website has hosted more than 200 offline dating activities across North America. On Valentine's Day, it held singles parties in cities including Washington DC, New York, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Vancouver.A partner with China's popular dating show If You Are The One, the dating website assisted on the 2012 North American special episode. 2RedBeans is now the co-organizer of the 2014 US edition of One Out of a Hundred, another popular Chinese matchmaking show hosted by Shanghai Dragon TV."The US edition of the show One Out of a Hundred is intended not just to be a dating show, but also a window for people in China to have a peek into the lives of people in the US, their value systems, their criteria for a mate, and their lifestyle," Zhao explains."In only 10 days, we've already had more than 290 applicants to the show, including actresses, engineers, professors, real estate agents, many amazing singles," she adds.As the largest Chinese dating site in North America, 2RedBeans has more than 200,000 registered users. Zhao expects 2RedBeans will grow and saturate the US and Canadian market in 2014, adding it will then be expanding to other countries where there are many Chinese immigrants."We are pushing out our mobile apps so that singles can get access to other singles on the go. We are also working on something that can bring singles offline to meet each other quickly," she says.As for the total number of 2RedBeans matches that lead to marriage, Zhao said the conservative estimate is at least one couple per day. "For matches that become girlfriend or boyfriend, I'd imaginethat's a much larger number," she adds.Jin, a 38-year-old Chinese American who lives in Fremont, California and declined to give his first name, started a relationship two months ago through 2RedBeans.After some general chitchat and the first date, Jin said things moved really quickly."I have tried and eHarmony before. However, unlike 2RedBeans, I never had a serious offline date with someone," he says. "I feel US dating sites are more casual dating oriented."To me, or many Chinese-Americans, we start our experience with the purpose of marriage. 2RedBeans has narrowed the dating pool based on the same background and that made it much easier for me to find the right person."。
