Nine-year—old Louis Pasteur ran into their little house 。

___1___. “Mom” he cried “my friend Henri was bitten by a mad dog 。

And now they are burning him with red hot irons. It’s terrible."

Burning the bites is the only hope of stopping Henri from catching the disease (疾病)。

” sixteen years later Pasteur became a doctor. He began making important discoveries in this special field。

But in the middle of all this , he suddenly became ill . As a result , he lost the use of his left arm and leg . Yet he had found no way of curing (治疗) one disease ----rabies. He had never forgotten his friend Henri , so he worked on and on as hard as ever。

___4___, he finally found the answer. Just then a boy badly bitten by a mad dog arrived at his lab. A few days after Pasteur’s treatment(治疗), the boy got better. He did not catch rabies。

Students often ask their students which dictionary is the best. In fact , there is not one “best ”dictionary 。

I was very anxious to fit in 。
