Do you think the Internet will makes students lazy? Why or why not?
Tips: The Internet will make students lazy because it provides them with readymade information which stops critical thinking and active imagination. Do you like to use a library or the Internet when you work on your writing assignment? Why?
Tips:
Some prefer a library because there are a lot of sources of up-todate information there. Many useful books, especially recent publications, do not appear on the Internet. Another disadvantage of the Internet information is that they are usually pieces of articles that can not provide a complete argument. Some prefer the Internet because it is much easier and quicker to search for information of almost all kinds. Just by a single click, you can save hours or even days searching piles of books or journals in a library. Meanwhile, when you find the information you want on the screen, you click and just paste it into your paper. It saves a lot of typing work, too.

Do you think a term paper is a better way of evaluation than a final test? Why?

Tips:
Of course a term paper is a better way of evaluation than a final test. For every Chinese student, the time spent preparing for the College Entrance Exam is a nightmare. We’ve heard stories that some high school students were hurt by that cruel exam, either physically or mentally, even both. Some have developed a natural fear of tests that has continued even after they entered college. Moreover, more and more tests aim at only testing one’s memory. Some tests are poorly designed by teachers who lack professional training.
