As is universally acknowledged, good communication is what it takes to build a harmonious relationship.
When it comes to this，unforgettable memories crowd in my mind。

One day，I was about to go home after school when it rained cats and dogs. Without an umbrella, I called my deskmate walking in the rain at a distance to share hers，but she didn’t stop。

I froze in the rain and then ran away angrily. From then on，every time she tried to talk to me，I turned around and ignored her, assuming that she did it on purpose. Things didn’t get better until I found a message saying “whatever happened, please let me know。

We are more friends than deskmates.” Only then did I realize I misunderstood her，so I rushed to talk with her
to search for the truth。

Knowing she really hadn’t heard my calling for sharing, I made an apology without hesitation，which contributed to a much stronger friendship between us.
If she hadn’t left me a message and if I had kept silent all the time，I would have lost a best friend。

50 years later, the day after my mother had slipped into a coma from a stroke，I sat next to her，holding her hand，stroking it, watching her body heaved up and down as she breathed heavily，like she was struggling with something。

A few days later。

In his memory，it is her hand that leads him through various moments in his life.
Like the author，I also appreciate my mother for everything she devotes to bringing me up。

My mother is a kind and gentle woman, a math teacher at a middle school 。

As a teacher she works diligently and treats the students patiently, so she is always praised and respected by both her students and colleagues alike。

As Mother，she takes good care of me and offers me the best thing she can afford。

Every day the moment she steps into the house after work, she sets about doing housework and preparing delicious dishes for me. My mother is a thrifty and industrious woman。

Mum is an ordinary housewife。

She is not beautiful，but she is very popular. You can always see her sitting together with some old ladies doing some little craftworks, with attention focused on the work while chatting with others。

She always tells me, "Never put your palms upwards but downwards!” I didn’t know why, so I would stare at her hands whenever I had nothing to do. Then I found that they were busy doing cleaning, washing，cooking, and helping others。

I never knew such short small and fat hands could do so many things。

Holding her hands, I asked mum why we couldn't put the palms upwards。

At 4 pm on March 4th，Monday, 2013, in front of the Student Canteen，more than 900 teachers and students participated in the activity with the theme “Fight against wasting but encourage to eat up everything on yo ur plate" organized by the Students’ Union。

First，we saw pictures on the boards which had recorded the terrible phenomena of wasting in the
campus. After that, we watched video clips, from which we have learned that every year about 10 million people are dying of food shortage。

Therefore，if we reduce food waste by 5% every day, we can save 4 million lives. And then everybody signed up to show our determination so as to cultivate our good habit，save food and refuse waste。
