一、教材内容分析
本节课选自义务教育教科书新目标英语七年级下册第八单元Unit 8 Is there a post office near here?一课。
本单元是七年级上册Unit 4 Where is my School bag ?的一个高度延伸,也是对八年级学习间接引语(问路指路)环节的一次铺垫,起了承上启下的作用。
本节课被设计为这一单元的第三课时,为阅读写作课,就是学生在听说课和综合任务活动课打下问路和指路基础上进行的语篇阅读练习,是对所学问路指路话题的一个真实情境下的语言综合运用能力的提升和输出量较大的练习过程。
本节课设计为三部分:pre–reading,while –reading ,post-reading.
二、学情分析
1. 授课对象为农牧区九年一贯制七年级学生,家长很不重视孩子的英语学习很
不重视。
三分之一的学生英语学习有困难,全体女生英语学习兴趣较高,只有个别男生
酷爱英语。
2.教师注重培养本班学生的学习兴趣和学习习惯,体现竞争与合作的评价策略,
考虑学生学习、理解能力和男女比例参差不齐,按照均衡发展的原则全班分为六个英语
学习小组。
3. 学生已有的知识水平:①学生在七年级上册对Where和 Is there的问答句型
熟练掌握。
②学生已经在前两课时中学过简单的问路方式如:Where is (I)
there…?How do you get to …?How to get to …?和指路方式如:It’s
on …Street.It’s across from ….To get there ,just go along …,then turn left
on …Street.It’s on your right.It’s between …and ….
4. 学生对日常生活中的“问路指路话题”比较熟悉。
对周围环境虽比较熟识,
但是他们的方向感并不强。
三、教学设计
(一)教学目标
在本节课结束时,学生能够:
1.用第一课时(words P43)和已学过的地点词汇描述自己周边建筑。
2.用第一课时(words P44)学过的方位介词短语来描述周边建筑的关系。
3.对自己最喜欢的一座建筑
3.用功能句来描述学生居住地周边的居住地话题,并用相关介词进行回答。
4. 自信地帮助外国人指路。
(二)教学重、难点及突破措施
1.教学重点:学习一些有关地点的词汇,并学会使用目标语言谈论问路指路的话
题。
2.教学难点: 使用目标语言清楚明白地进行问路指路
3.教学重难点的突破措施:①通过图片方式让学生猜测单词,根据音标让学生拼
读单词,通过多种形式练习单词。
②有梯度的课堂活动设计,将课堂所学与学生生活地
点联系在一起,通过两人及小组合作过程中学生之间的互相启发。
四、教学过程

Step 1
1.Describe your house with your partners in a group by using these sentences :
eg : I live in Dabancheng .My house is on …Street .It’s between a …and a ……
2.Then choose one of the Ss in their group to perform the result.
2.While-reading
T:All the Ss did a good job ,just now we talked about where our house is , now let’s learn more about Anna’s ,John’s and Lisa’s .
1-1. First let’s learn the new words about Section B -2b .Now ,turn to P127.Six Ss a group ,learn the new words of Unit 8-P47 in your group by using the phonetic symbol of every words.
1-2.Share the words of P47 in the group,T or other Ss help to check the pronunciation,at last read the words together .
2-1 Ss look at the pictures of 2b
T:What can you see in the picture? Street?Buildings?Share in the group

2-2 Skin the passage of 2b.Match the passage with the pictures in the group.Underline the key words which help you match the correct Street Map,choosee more Ss to tell us.

All the Ss talk about the following questions in a group ,Every one share the answers in their group .
1.What’s your name ?
2.Where do you live ?(Street,specific place )
3.What place in your neighborhood?
4.What’s your favorite place in your neighborhood?Why?
5. How to you get to your favorite place?
Ss discuss the questions above,then choose one or two Ss in the group to perform
Ss perform the conversation(If time permite )
Home work :
Draw the map of your house Street Map .Write an explaination of the place of Your house.。
