My Wonderland Amusement Park Full Marks
Woohoo! The end of the school year is finally here and summer vacation has arrived. That can only mean one thing - a trip to my favorite place on Earth, the Wonderland Amusement
Park! I've been counting down the days until I could return to this magical kingdom of thrills and explore all the new rides and attractions. Last year's visit was unbelievable, but I have a feeling this one is going to be even more wonderfully awesome!
As my family's car pulls into the parking lot, I can barely contain my excitement. I press my face against the window, trying to catch an early glimpse of the colorful roller coasters and towering Ferris wheel. We claim our spot and I bound out of the car, pulling my parents along as I race towards the entrance gate. Even though I've been here many times before, the sight of those larger-than-life Wonder Letters that spell out the park's name still takes my breath away. It's like being transported into another world!
With my Wonder Pass clutched tightly in my hand, we stride through the turnstiles and I'm instantly surrounded by the sights, smells, and sounds that I've been daydreaming about for months. The aroma of funnel cakes and cotton candy wafts through the air. Joyful shrieks and laughter from riders on the coasters echo all around. Vibrant balloons and stuffed animal prizes dazzle my eyes at every turn. Where to begin?!
First things first, time for the main event - the COLOSSAL rollercoasters! The Thunderbolt is beckoning me with its
breathtaking loops and corkscrew inversions. As I ascend that epic first hill and the track drops out from under me, my stomach flips with exhilarating butterflies. Up and down and all around we soar, wind whipping through my hair and an unstoppable grin plastered across my face. What a rush!
After the adrenaline high of the Thunderbolt, I decide to get a little wet and wild on the Wild Waterfalls Raftride. Splish splashing through the churning rapids, our circular raft spins and bobs until finally, we reach the precipice and go plunging down the gigantic five-story waterfall finale! By the time we hit the bottom, our crew is soaked but still craving more mayhem.
With so many rides to experience, I can never sit still for too long at this place. It's off to the spinning Scrambler next for some twisting, turning, dizzying fun. I laugh hysterically as the force whips me and my friends around and around until we're all a giggling mess. A quick air dry while bouncing our way through the Funhouse's madcap maze of mirrors, spinning barrels, and tilting rooms and then we're off again!
No visit to Wonderland would be complete without conquering the treacherous ropes course and maze of the Adventure Trail. Climbing, crawling, leaping from swinging platform to swinging platform - I'm feeling like a pint-sized
Indiana Jones as I navigate each new obstacle and physical challenge. When I finally reach the end, I raise my arms in triumph, so proud of myself for persevering.
With all the thrilling rides under my belt, it's time to recharge with some tasty treats! A humongous swirl of cherry and blue raspberrycottoncandy. An ooey gooey candied apple dripping with sweet caramel and crunchy nuts. A frozen chocolate-dipped cheesecake-stuffed strawberry the size of my head! The snacks here are sinfully delicious and definitely not of the health food variety. That's what makes them so much fun though, right?
As the daylight starts to fade, the park takes on a whole new dazzling atmosphere when all the nighttime lights fire up. Neon tubing and kaleidoscopic LED displays transform every ride into a radiant multi-colored spectacle. The towering Wonder Wheel ferris wheel is illuminated in brilliant everchanging patterns, putting on a magnificent pulsing lightshow against the night sky.
With my bottomless Wonder Pass, I get to relive the thrills again and again by hopping on any ride with little to no wait! By this late hour, the park is less crowded so we bounce from coaster to coaster, zipping through the harnesses and metal restraints like a well-oiled machine. Nothing is stopping this unstoppable fun machine tonight!
At long last, I can feel myself winding down and my eyelids growing heavy. As an extra special nightcap, we take a slow spin on the Wonder Wheel, soaking in the illuminated panorama of the whole park spread out below us as the cool night breeze rejuvenates our souls. From the very top, we can see all the twinkling lights from nearby Wonder City in the distance. What a perfect way to top off another unforgettable and wonder-filled day!
As we groggily make our way towards the exit, I know I'll be dreaming about this place all over again tonight. No other amusement park can compare to the thrills, sugar rushes, and long-lasting happy memories that Wonderland has given me year after year. It's the perfect vibrant playground for kids to cut loose and be a kid. Just thinking about it puts that unstoppable smile back on my face. I already can't wait to return for more wonder and awesomeness next summer!

My Amazing Day at Wonderland Amusement Park!
Hey guys! I'm so excited to tell you all about the awesome day I just had at Wonderland Amusement Park. It was honestly one of the best days of my entire life so far!
It all started when my mom surprised me last weekend and told me her friend had given her some free tickets to go to Wonderland. I had been begging my parents to take me there for months, but the tickets are pretty expensive so they kept telling me we couldn't afford it. When my mom told me we were finally going, I literally jumped up and down cheering! I could hardly sleep that night because I was so hyped.
The morning we went, I woke up at 6am even though it was a Saturday. I was just too amped to sleep in. I rushed to get dressed in my Wonderland t-shirt that I've had for ages. Then I bugged my parents nonstop until we finally headed out the door around 9am. The park opened at 10am but I made them leave super early because I didn't want to hit any traffic or lines.
When we pulled into the parking lot, I couldn't believe my eyes. The park was massive! There were rides and roller coasters and games everywhere you looked. I made a beeline straight for the entrance, leaving my poor parents trailing behind lugging all our stuff. I could hardly stand still in the ticketing line. When we finally got through, I beelined for the first coaster I saw - the Cosmic Comet!
The Cosmic Comet was awesome! It started out slowly climbing up this huge hill, giving you an amazing view of the
whole park. But then it freefell back down at what felt like a million miles per hour. My stomach flipped as we went upside down twice in a row. I shrieked like crazy the whole time but in that good, thrill-seeking kind of way, not the scared way! As soon as it ended I knew I had to ride it again immediately.
My parents insisted we do some other rides first before going again though. We hit up the Tilt-a-Whirl, which spun me around so fast I could barely see straight after. Then we went on the classic Ferris Wheel, which gave an awesome view of the park from up high. We even did the Haunted House, which had people literally jumping out at you from the darkness. I maybe screamed a little too loudly in there!
After a few hours of rides, my stomach started growling so we stopped for lunch at one of the restaurants in the park. They had classic amusement park foods like hot dogs, pizza, chicken tenders, french fries, and more. I loaded up on chicken tenders, fries, a big lemonade, and even a funnel cake for dessert. Normally my parents don't let me eat foods that unhealthy, but they were being cool and letting me go all out at Wonderland.
With my belly fully fueled up, I was ready to take on the biggest, baddest coasters in the park after lunch. I dragged my parents over to the Leviathan first. This guy had a completely
stupid 306 foot tall hill that just plunged you straight down at 148 feet per second. I've never experienced that kind of speed before! My tears were literally streaming backwards into my hair on that first drop. Then it kept whipping you around super intense turns and loops. I was gripping those handles for dear life! Easily the most insane coaster I've ever ridden.
Next up was the Behemoth, which had this completely vertical loop where you literally went upside down and experienced total weightlessness for a few seconds. It felt like I was going to fall right out of my seat! That was probably the most outrageous element on any of the rides. I loved every second though.
By that point, my parents were feeling pretty tuckered out from all the crazy intensity. They decided to go sit and rest while I used my last big coaster of the day - the Leviathan Comeback. This guy was smooth as silk, without any wild loops or drops. But it was long and satisfying with lots of bunny hills and corkscrew turns to keep it interesting. The perfect relaxing way to wind down after all the insanity!
With the major coasters out of the way, I spent the rest of the evening hopping around doing random other rides and games. I went on bumper cars and got into a minor fender
bender with my dad. I played skee ball and other games, winning a massive Stitch stuffed animal to take home. We even did the log flume ride and got absolutely drenched!
As the sun started setting, we stuck around to watch the amazing laser, fireworks, and fountain show they did on the main lake. Wonderland really went all out with this huge production involving colorful lights, fireworks, dramatic music, and water spraying everywhere in choreographed sequences. It was the perfect way to cap off one of the most epic days ever!
By the time we left the park around 9pm, I was completely wiped. But it was that good kind of exhaustion you get after having a day packed full of pure awesomeness. I could barely keep my eyes open during the hour-long drive home.
As soon as I walked through our front door, I proclaimed to my parents "That was THE BEST DAY EVER!! When can we go back?!" Haha.. I'm sure they were thrilled to hear that one.
But honestly, it really was one of the most fun, memorable days I've ever had. From the crazy intense coasters that had me screaming to the beautiful lakeside shows at night, Wonderland felt like a true wonderland of thrills and excitement. I'd give anything to transport back there this instant!
