It wasMonday. Mrs Smith’s dog was hungry, but there was not any meat in the house. Consideringthat there was no better way. Beforethe print was brought to England in 1476, everything was written by hand. Thefew people who knew how to write were trained in schools set up by the church.Those who made a living by writing for other people were called scribes(抄写员)。
