Recently a Beijing information company did a survey of student life among more than 700 students in Beijing, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Chengdu, Shanghai, Wuhan, Nanjing, and Shenyang . The results have shown that 67 percent of students think that saving money is a good habit while the rest believe that using tomorrow's money today is better, what do you think?

Saving Money Is the Best Policy
When asked about saving money or using tomorrow’s money, different people hold different views. 67 percent of the students surveyed believe that saving money is a good habit since it is a traditional virtue in China. However, the rest hold that using tomorrow’s money is better because it can meet their urgent needs. From my perspective, I insist that saving money is preferable to overspending.
For one thing, our future is uncertain and therefore we’d better make preparations against a rainy day. If we put aside some money ,we won't feel desperate in the case of accidents. For example, when one of the family members catches a serious disease, we can save his/her life by affording a timely cure. For another, saving money for tomorrow gives us a sense of security while spending tomorrow’s money keeps us worried about the bills. For instance, many people who buy more than they can pay for on the installment plan fell quite pressed to meet the due date for payment of the credit card and many times they even go to the length of robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Therefore, we can safely draw a conclusion that saving money is quite beneficial.
Spending Tomorrow’s Money Nowadays, the consumer credit is becoming increasingly popular and people’s consumption idea is changing. Some people tend to spend tomorrow’s money for today’s comfort. They believe that using tomorrow’s money benefits the individuals as well as the society. I cannot agree with them more.
I have two reasons to support my view. First of all, for the individuals, spending tomorrow’s money can make one enjoy the products or services that one can not afford at the present. Definitely there are items when one’s purchasing power can’t meet one’s current needs of necessities, and using tomorrow’s money can solve this problem. For example, many families that cannot pay cash for major items such as houses, automobiles , furniture and appliances are able to purchase them without enough cash on the installment plan. Secondly, spending tomorrow’s money contributes to the progress of our society. Overspending , which means a satisfied
large demand for the consumer products, can help shape a better production structure, drive forward our economy and invigorate the whole society eventually.
From the foregoing, a natural conclusion can be drawn that using tomorrow’s money is a better way to make the individuals as well as the society go round.

More Pressure from Academic Studies Does no Good to us
When asked about whether more pressure from academic studies does good to the students, different people hold different views. Some people take it for granted that pressure can keep the students motivated and maximize their potentials. However, others hold that too much is not beneficial to the students since it prevents them from performing well. For my part , I agree with the latter.
To start with, too much pressure will deprive students of the interest in learning. Many students admit that they don’t study for their own sake and they study only because their parents and teachers compel them to. Besides, too much pressure from studies breeds mental problems. For instance, some students suffer from nervous breakdown or insomnia because of the excessive
stress from study. In addition, if the students bear too much pressure they will spend most of their time studying in fear of lagging behind. As a result , they will have little time for the extracurricular activities, which is a great loss to their all-round development. Finally, more pressure is the main reason for cheating in the exams. Many students choose to cheat at the risk of being caught because they are afraid of letting their parents or teachers down.
To sum up, heavy pressure from academic studies
does great harm to students.
More Pressure from Academic Studies Does Good to us Nowadays the students bear more pressure from academic studies than ever before. Some people begin to worry that too much pressure will cause problems. They believe that students’health counts more than anything
else. But I don’t see eye to with them with and I insist that more pressure from academic studies is beneficial to them.
I have two reasons to support my view. First of all, as the saying goes, pressure produces motive power; more pressure from studies can drive the students to work harder. In a competitive world, if we don’t equip us with all kinds of knowledge , we will lag behind and become a loser when we enter the society in the future. Secondly, for those who are less self-disciplined, more pressure will drag them from time-wasting recreations, like computer games. There are many students surfing on the net all day long and even all night at the cost of their health and their study. The academic stress will help put them on the right track.
From the foregoing, we can safely draw a conclusion that more pressure from academic studies is necessary and profitable for the students.
