What to choose: traditional characters or simplified characters
When it comes to Chinese characters, we know that it includes two kinds of characters: traditional characters and simplified characters. With the development of our society, which one is better? From my point of view, simplified characters are better.
First of all, simplified characters are easy to learn, easy to write and easy to read. There is no doubt that characters are for people to communicate and learn so when we put what we have learned into the practice, the simple the better. On the country, if we use traditional characters, it would cost us more time on writing. In other words, simplified characters are more practical, more adaptable to the needs of society. Furthermore, from thousands of years ago, Chinese character’s inevitable trend is from complexity to briefness, we couldn’t reserve this trend. Last but not least, simplified characters are pleasing to our eyes. If the characters are very small, traditional characters are very intricacy so as to damage our eyesight.
Although simplified characters are better for us today, traditional characters are also Chinese culture’s heritage. We can learn to write simplified characters while learn to recognize traditional characters. In this way, traditional characters won’t be forgotten by us.。
