1ladies and gentlemen,i have had a lot of teachers in my school who have given me much help in my study.for their help i will never forget them.but today i am going to talk about a special teacher of mine.this teacher is not a human being and its name is“computer”.it has been teaching me a lot of knowledge and i appreciate it very much.with the development of modern science and technology, computers are widely used in every teritories (1) including education.how can a computer be my teacher? how does a computer teach me? multimedia(多媒体)helps a lot in this aspect in recent years, and computer-based training (cbt) has become a popular educational medium (手段).even before the multimedia come (2) up, many different learning systems appeared, using the components and techniques we now associate with the term “multimedia”.multimedia components, such as graphics (动画) , animations , sound and video, make the learning process easier through visualization.animations can present many complex subjects dynamically, but human teachers can not do this on blackboards.multimedia makes our study more lively and interesting.for example, a cd-rom disk named “encarta encyclopedia” contains 650 mb information including images, graphics, music clips, video clips, animations , texts, hotwords, and database search functions.fields involved includes physical sciences, performance arts, social sciences, politics, military, education and so on.when pressing a button, i can hear american president clintons speech clip.i may enjoy playing all kinds of musical instruments in the world.i can also see the animation of many physical phenomena.this makes physical concept to be understood deeply (3).the audio features of multimedia can greatly help me learning (4) foreign languages.with its speech output capabilities, im no longer dependent on an instructor for proper pronunciation.how can i interact with a computer? there are many ways, including keyboard, mouse pointer, and touch screen.i often use a keyboard.when i press right keys, i can see and hear whatever i want.information world is at my fingertip.i wish that true speech input-output system would be invented one day.as teachers, computers have a lot of virtues:they are positive, they have good memories and never lose any information stored in them. 2On January 13, Jin Weijie, a teacher from Longhua Chinese-English Experimental School in Baoan rushed to save fourprimary school students and sacrifice herself. On March 31, a traffic accident happened in Jiangsu Province, once again, a primary school teacher, Yin Xuemei, saved six primary school students’ lives, while losing her own. This touched my heart deeply.Who is the greatest? The teacher! If it was me, if I happened to be there, I would do the same thing, because I am a teacher, too.Working as a teacher, maybe there is nothing special in their life. But we have a belief deep within, that is --we must protect our students, keep our children safe, we won’t let any of them get hurt.Just as what the commissioner of education in Jiangsu Province said: “The accident happened so quickly, it happened in a flick of an eye, there is no time to think about it or hesitate, saving the others is an instinctive action. She did it only because she was of great stature. She forgot about herself in the heat of the moment. There is no doubt, teachers are worth all respect! Teachers are selfless! They impart knowledge to the students, they offer ways and skills of learning to their students, and they offer their lives with no hesitancy when necessary! So I am proud of being a teacher.I like students, teaching will be my life-time career.Choosing the right career is very important, most of us spend a great part of our lives doing jobs. Some of us have become very successful.Mainly because they have chosen appropriate careers which match their talents and stimulate their interests .I prefer teaching English.English is my favorite. In my opinion, teaching English is more wonderful than any other subject. There are thousands of different languages in the world.Which language is the mostimportant? As we know, English is an international language, and it could be used all over the world.English is becoming more and more important and popular in China. We adults learn English, school students learn English, even the babies in the kindergarten learn English. It’s a necessary language if you want to go abroad, It’s an essential quality for the researchers to get the latest information in the world quickly. In an age of fast communication, if we want to learn about the outside world, English is definitely the language we should know.Lets take a look at a practical viewpoint, if youre looking for a job that can provide you a good position and a high salary, understanding English often makes it much easier. It cant be denied that English is very important if you want to make a good living.English is a very important language no matter what you do or where you go, Millions of people would like to master English, but it’s not a piece of cake.So being an English teacher is good.I am fortunate that I can express my opinions in English. So I am lucky I can teach English.Furthermore, Being an English teacher, I am very content.I am so grateful to have a life that is filled with teenagers’ trust and love. When my students answer my questions correctly, when they discuss passionately, when they communicate with foreigners fluently, when I see the slowest in thought make progress, I know I have done a great job.Nothing can replace my pleasure. So being an English teacher, I have got fantastic pleasure. It is English that makes my life wonderful. It is English that makes me feel confident. It is English that makes me differentIf there is another chance for me to choose my occupation, I won’t choose anything except being an English tea cher.I enjoy my job, and I love my life.老师英语演讲稿3Good morning , honored judges .It is my greatest honor to be here today. I would like to share my English learning and teaching experience with you .I could remember English has been my favorite since my junior high school. At that time I had a dream that one day my job must be something that connects with English. After graduating from University, I started my career in teaching English. Only then did I realize the true creed of being an English teacher. Besides teaching a foreign language, an English teacher can also help students learn and understand more about a very different culture. In addition, if knowledge is a bridge to success, then an English teacher must be a bridge for students to learn a fore ign language, a bridge to aid students’ communication with foreigners, a bridge to share our Chinese culture with others.Learning English should be fun and exciting and must not be boring or with a sense of failure .After becoming an English teacher, I do whatever I can to make my class lively and instructive.I think, to be a good English teacher, he should know his subject well. His personality is as important as his knowledge. A good English teacher must be enthusiastic. He must love his students and respect them. In addition, he must also respect himself and take pride in his work. A good English teacher should be kind, encouraging, and helpful and he should motivate his students to seek knowledge.I am very content for being an English teacher. I am so grateful to have a life that is filled with teenagers’ love and trust. When my students answer my questions correctly, when they discuss passionately and when they communicate with foreigners fluently, I know I have done a great job. Nothing can replace my pleasure. It’s English that makes my life wonderful. It is English that makes me feel confident. It is English that makes me feel different about myself.Lastly, my honored judges and English teachers, I would like to share my dream with you. It is a dream deeply rooted in all Chinese’s hearts. I have this dream that one day, when our country becomes the world largest economy, all citizens from other nations would come to China to learn Chinese to get into our latest science and technology .And we, now English teachers, will, then, be able to teach them Chinese in English .This dream must and will come true. That is why I, together with you, strive our best to be an excellent English teacher today!Thank you very much for your attention!老师英语演讲稿4My English teacherMy English teacher is slim and beautiful. She is in her thirties with curly, short hair. She has been teaching in this school for about ten years. She is kind, generous, friends and intellegent. Of course she is very strict with us.She likes reading books and traveling. She knows so much that she always makes her class interesting and lively. She ofen lets us watching PPT, short English movies and descuss in class so that we all have chance to speak English and know the background of Europe and America. She is our best friend, too. When we have any difficulties wheather they are about English or our lives, she can always give us good suggestion. She works so hard that sometimes she has no time to rest herself. Sometimes she has to prepare the lesson and read our test paper till late at night. I still remember when she first became my English teacher, I was weak in it and always worried. She talked with me for a long time on how to learn English and lent me some books. Besides she often helped me with my English after school. With her help, I made great progress and I could caught up with others. Now I am good at English and I thank her very much. This is my English teacher who is lovely and kind. So we all love her very much.老师英语演讲稿5Good afternoon, la dies and gentlemen, it’s a great honor to speak here: I am an English teacher.People often say: Teacher is the engineer of human spirit. Last September, I became a teacher. How to become a real teacher? This is the first difficulty that I come across in my career. At first, I felt so good and fun to stay with so many lovely students, then I integrated with them, and soon, the problem came out. If a teacher can’t set up her dignity in front of the students, it willmake the class teaching more difficult. In my lessons, the students often kept on talking, acting, and asking questions. What should I do? I can’t get along with them like this any more.I must be strict with them. Pay more attention to what should be praised, what should be criticized. Any carelessness is not permitted. At last, the class discipline became better.Nowadays, the importance of learning English is obvious. The world becomes globalization and unify. The association of each country is closer and closer. People call the earth as a global village. English is the first current language in the international world. The communication of politics, economy and culture is upon English. As we know, we will take a beating if we lay behind. How to catch up with the world? That is, study English well to gain the first hand data. The entrance of WTO, the Olympic Games which will be held in 2008, shows that we must learn English well as quickly as possible. Forcing study won’t stay in the heart, feeding knowledge into the brain won’t get a good result, and high mark isn’t our teaching goal. To get a satisfied effect, we should make the students learn on their own initiative. How to make them feel interested in studying English? I think the key point is the teaching design. It must be vivid and vigorous. We can change our study contents into games, performances, competitions and so on. Let them believe English is easy and funny. As the step of history is advancing, the demand of English teaching is changeable. The junior students are not what we know as before. They have a lot of knowledge, and are good at combining English with other subjects, such as history, geography, physics, chemistry and so on. Their English level is higher than what we thought. Many of them started learningEnglish in their primary school. So English teacher should pursue advanced studies constantly, and master the latest teaching materials and methods to meet today’s demands.I feel very happy to be an English teacher. I will do my best to teach English well with my knowledge, my patience and my enthusiasm. Make Chinese speak English better, and show their ability and talent in the world stage. I am proud to tell you: I am an English teacher.老师英语演讲稿。

英语教师演讲稿〔共6篇〕第1篇:英语教师演讲稿Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.I am glad here to present my speech.Being a teacher has been my dream since I was a little girl, so now I feel pretty honored to be elected as an english teacher of your school. The past three-year teaching in junior high school taught me that it’s not easy to be a good english teacher. But I believe that it is poible so long as I do my best. This moment is a new beginning to me.Thanks for providing me the new stage to chase my dream continously. In the following years, I’d like to bee an excellent english teacher based on the following points:First, enhancing my own profetioal skillBecause of the fact that I had never teach in senior high school, I have to be familiar with the textbooks as soon as poible and find a way which isboth suited to my students and myself in teaching practice.Besides, the world is developing, so does knowledge. Therefore, I would also keep learning in my spare time to improve my prehensive skills, for exle, reading English newspapers and magazines, listening english news and so on.Of course, learning from other senior teachers is an indispensible part of my plan due to their rich teaching experience and profound knowledge, too.second, being a good guiderAs an english teacher, there is no doubt that improving students’ english skills is my primary task.I would prepare leons carefully, aign time reasonably and make them interesting and facinating as poible so that students would listen attentively and participate actively. However, as a teacher, leading students to be a true person is important, too.thus, giving students some instructive suggestions in proper time is one of my job as well.Third, believeing and respecting my studentsEvery one has their own strengths and weakne and grade should not be the only standard of judging a student. As far as I concerned, if we give students enough freedom and let them to do what they are interested in, they would do very well.So whether my students make a good score in exams or not, I would treat them equally and be confident in them. For those students who are good at english learning, I wouldlike to make them get better grades. On the other hand, for those who are really not, I would help them find out their interests and encourge them to do what they are willing to do.Thanks for your support and trust again. That’s all.第2篇:英语教师演讲稿英语教师演讲稿en couldnt controlmy breath .because i really didnt know what to say at that time .well-today, being an english teacher for some years in zhongxin, i have a strong sense of responsibility, which always fills me with strength and confidence.after being an english teacher,i think,to be a good english teacher, you should know your major well.your personality is as important as your knowledge.a good english teacher must beenthusiastic.you must love your students and respect them.in addition, you must also respect yourself and take pride in your work.a good english teacher should be kind, encouraging, and helpful and you should motivate your students to seek knowledge.ill tell you a true story, last year, a boy named liulei came to our cla,he looked so quiet, no age childrens lively and cheerful, he didnt dare to answer the question loudly, when i asked him to do the dialogue in front, heeven had a big cry .and he didnt dare to seeanyone ,whose voice low likea whisper, i am well aware that he lackedof confidence and neceary encouragement .so, then i give the opportunity to him for each cla , and i——。

2018英语教师演讲稿(4篇)in a twinkle of an eye, sixteen years has passed since i became an english teacher. looking back, i have experienced pleasure, success as well as confusion and sadness. but i think there is much to be grateful for. during the first two years in sz, i had a hard time in my teaching career. why do i say so? on one hand, i like the city because it is young, vital, beautiful and full of challenges. on the other hand, many students in the common classes are quite different from my former students. they didn't study hard at all. they were too indolent in class, talking, sleeping and doing anything that they like. it is a common sight for them not to do homework. they didn't care about their school marks. they just wanted to get much but paid little. what is more, they showed deaf ears to your advice or criticism for their mistakes or faults. when i wanted to point out their mistakes, i should weigh my words over and over not to hurt their feelings. i felt as if i lost my way in the sea. i even had such an idea: to give up the job as an english teacher.but an event changed my mind. one day, a student had a talk with me in my office. his words always linger in my mind. he said: "ms hu, may i ask you a question?" i answered "sure." then he talked just like an old friend of mine. he said: "i can see you don't feel happy now because many of us don't study hard. we are too naughty and sometimes we make troubles, or play tricks in class on purpose. we are forced to learn many things that are boring, useless and not valuable. so we are tired of studying. have you ever been forced to do anything that you really didn't want to do? if so, you can understand why the students do so."i was deeply shocked by his words. as a teacher, i seldom think about the question in the position of the students. then i asked him what was his idea of a good englishteacher. he was a little shy first but after a moment he was eloquent again. he said: "i think a good teacher should be the students' close friend who shares their ups and downs. he should be passionate about many things―books, sports, literature, films and fashion. he is humorous and not too critical about the students' mistakes or faults. he not only asks the students to listen to him but also likes listening to the students. he nourishes and broadens our horizon because of his profound knowledge. he won't just focus on the students' marks but cares more about the students' development in many ways. in his class he should have a powerful emotional impact. so after his lesson we can read, write, think and learn better…"i couldn't believe these words running out of the mouth of a middle school student. his words enlightened me suddenly just like a bright lamp in the darkness... from his words we know it is not easy to be a good teacher. but since then i began to think and reflect myself in my teaching. as a teacher, first we should love the students like our own children. i try to stand in the students' position, understand them, help them and at the same time improve our teaching skills and method. in my spare time i read the books which the students are interested in so that i can understand them better. now more and more of my students show interest in english and i feel happy to be an english teacher, too. do you have such experience as i have, dear friends? today i'd like to share a sentence with all of you. if there were no cloud, would the sky feel lonely? if there were no sky, where should the cloud wander?that is all for my speech. thank you for you attention.

My name is fuxian from songzhuang primary school. the name of my speech is << my simple teaching life>> .It is my greatest honor to be here today. I would like to share my English learning and teaching experience with you .I studied english educashion at my college. I chose this major just because its tuition was not high at that time. Then half a year before my graduation i came to shandong to be an english teacher. Far away from my hometown. Then i have lived here for 7 years and taught for 7 years too. I love teaching. I love talking to my students.H ow do I enjoy myself with my students? I don’t think I can express how I love my students in a few words. I just know, they are the future of China; they are infinity in my hand. What could I do with them? T o wait, to be patient, to expect and to love. From them, every teacher must see their future, teaching and guiding them responsibly. And then, as teachers, not only do we need to be friendly to them, but also all the time we have to be ready for helping them. Once two girls in my class went out for wandering from home without telling anyone else including their patents. In fact, they just wanted to escape from the family, which was full ofquarreling. It’s not hard to imagine how worried their parents were! But they had no way to communicate with them, nor find them. As class teacher, there was no time. I decided quickly to help the holpless parents. And I tried to contact with their classmates to make sure what they had talked about the going before. Then I spent the whole night in looking for them with their parents in the city. After a long time searching, we found the girls . When they saw me, their class teacher, they cried loudly and sadly. Everything was OK after they told me their complaints to parents. At that time, I knew, sometimes, the teacher was the very bridge between parents and their children. How important, how great to be a teacher is!To me, my students are just like the wild flowers. Can we see a World or Heaven in them? The answer is definitely Yes. If you want to enjoy yourself while teaching, respect and love your students as their friends; work hard with full responsibility. So, what is responsibility? From my point of view, responsibility is accepting what you are facing -- and not complaining your students. Responsibility is holding your students' hands and reminding them to watch both ways before crossing their road. When there is something difficult in front of students, responsibility is helping them over them. When your students are in a trouble, responsibility is being there on time to help and guide them -- even if that means you will miss your favorite things.Because I love my students, then I enjoy myself with full responsibility. That is why I together with you,try our best to be an excellent English teacher today!Thank you very much for your attention!
Good morning/afternoon! It is my great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on the noble profession of teaching. Teaching is not just a job; it is a calling, a mission, and a lifelong commitment. Today, I would like to talk about the significance of teaching, the challenges faced by teachers, and the rewards that come with this extraordinary profession.First and foremost, teaching is a profession that shapes the future of our society. Teachers are the architects of knowledge, the mentors of dreams, and the catalysts for change. They are the ones who instill values, foster creativity, and nurture curiosity in young minds. A good teacher can inspire students to achieve greatness, to explore new horizons, and to become responsible and compassionate citizens of the world. The role of a teacher goes beyond imparting academic knowledge. They are guides, confidants, and friends to their students. They provide emotional support, encouragement, and a safe space for students to express themselves. Teachers are like parents away from home, who care for their students' well-being and help them navigate through the complexities of life. This multifaceted role makes teaching a truly noble profession. However, being a teacher is not an easy task. It requires dedication, perseverance, and a deep passion for the subject matter. Teachers work tirelessly, often sacrificing their personal time and well-being to ensure that their students receive the best education possible. They face numerous challenges, including classroom management, diverse student needs, budget constraints, and the pressure to meet academic standards. One of the biggest challenges teachers face is the diverse range of students they teach. Each student has unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. It is the teacher's responsibility to identify these differences and adapt their teaching methods accordingly. This requires patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of child development. Moreover, teachers must address the social and emotional needs of theirstudents, as these factors significantly impact their academic performance.Another challenge is the increasing pressure to meet rigorous academic standards. With the emphasis on standardized testing and accountability, teachers often find themselves confined to a rigid curriculum, leaving little room for creativity and exploration. This can lead to a monotonous learning experience for students and burnout for teachers. It is crucial for policymakers and educators to strike a balance between academic rigor and flexibility, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education.Despite these challenges, the rewards of teaching are immense. The satisfaction of seeing a student grasp a difficult concept, the joy of witnessing their growth and development, and the gratitude expressed by former students are some of the rewards that keep teachers going. Teaching is a profession that brings immense joy and fulfillment to those who are passionate about it.Furthermore, teaching has a ripple effect on society. A good teacher can inspire a generation of students to pursue their dreams, to become leaders, and to make a positive impact on the world. The legacy of a teacher lasts a lifetime, as their students go on to become successful professionals, caring parents, and active members of their communities. In conclusion, teaching is a noble profession that requires dedication, perseverance, and a deep commitment to the well-being of students. Teachers play a crucial role in shaping the future of our society, and their contributions should never be undervalued. As we celebrate the teachers in our lives, let us acknowledge their hard work, dedication, and the positive impact they have on our lives. In the words of Nelson Mandela, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Let us honor the teachers who have dedicated their lives to this cause, and let us support them in their mission to educate and inspire the next generation.Thank you.。

2018英语教师演讲稿(4篇)本文目录2018英语教师演讲稿幼儿园英语教师演讲稿英语教师演讲稿中学英语教师岗位竞聘演讲稿in a twinkle of an eye, sixteen years has passed since i became an english teacher. looking back, i have experienced pleasure, success as well as confusion and sadness. but i think there is much to be grateful for. during the first two years in sz, i had a hard time in my teaching career. why do i say so? on one hand, i like the city because it is young, vital, beautiful and full of challenges. on the other hand, many students in the common classes are quite different from my former students. they didn't study hard at all. they were too indolent in class, talking, sleeping and doing anything that they like. it is a common sight for them not to do homework. they didn't care about their school marks. they justwanted to get much but paid little. what is more, they showed deaf ears to your advice or criticism for their mistakes or faults. when i wanted to point out their mistakes, i should weigh my words over and over not to hurt their feelings. i felt as if i lost my way in the sea. i even had such an idea: to give up the job as an english teacher.but an event changed my mind. one day, a student had a talk with me in my office. his words always linger in my mind. he said: "ms hu, may i ask you a question?i answered"sure.then he talked just like an old friend of mine. he said: "i can see you don't feel happy now because many of us don't study hard. we are too naughty and sometimes we make troubles, or play tricks in class on purpose. we are forced to learn many things that are boring, useless and not valuable. sowe are tired of studying. have you ever been forced to do anything that you really didn't want to do? if so, you can understand why the students do so.i was deeply shocked by his words. as a teacher, i seldom think about the question in the position of the students. then i asked him what was his idea of a good english teacher. he was a little shy first but after a moment he was eloquent again. he said: "i think a good teacher should be the students' close friend who shares their ups and downs. he should be passionate about many things―books, sports, literature, films and fashion. he is humorous and not too critical about thestudents' mistakes or faults. he not only asks the students to listen to him but also likes listening to the students. he nourishes and broadens our horizon because of his profound knowledge. he won't just focuson the students' marks but cares more about the students' development in many ways. in his class he should have a powerful emotional impact. so after his lesson we can read, write, think and learn better"i couldn't believe these words running out of the mouth of a middle school student. his words enlightened me suddenly just like a bright lamp in the darkness... from his words we know it is not easy to be a good teacher. but since then i began to think and reflect myself in my teaching. as a teacher, first we should love the students like our own children. i try to stand in the students' position, understand them, help them and at the same time improve our teaching skills and method. in my spare time i read the books which the students are interested in so that i can understandthem better. now more and more of my students show interest in english and i feel happy to be an english teacher, too. do you have such experience as i have, dear friends? today i'd like to share a sentence with all of you. if there were no cloud, would the sky feel lonely? if there were no sky, where should the cloud wander?that is all for my speech. thank you for you attention.幼儿园英语教师演讲稿2018英语教师演讲稿(2)| 返回目录有一件事深深地触动了我。
教师上台发言稿英文版
Good morning/afternoon! It is my great honor to stand here today and share with you some thoughts and experiences as a teacher. Teaching has been my passion for many years, and I have learned a lot from mystudents and colleagues.Firstly, let me express my gratitude to all the students who havetrusted me and chosen to be in my class. It is their enthusiasm and curiosity that inspire me to be a better teacher every day. I believethat every student is unique and has the potential to excel in different fields. As teachers, it is our responsibility to discover and nurture these talents, so that they can grow into responsible and successful individuals in the future. In the classroom, I always strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment. I believe that a good teacher should not only impart knowledge but also guide students to think critically and independently. This can be achieved through interactive teaching methods, such as group discussions, debates, and project-based learning. By encouraging students to express their opinions and share their ideas, we can foster their creativity and problem-solving skills. One of the most important lessons I have learned as a teacher is the power of patience. Teaching is not an easy job, and sometimes it can be challenging to see immediate results. However, we must remember that every student has their own pace of learning, and it is our duty to provide them with the necessary support and encouragement. By being patient and understanding, we can help students build their confidence and self-esteem, which are essential for their personal and academic development.Another crucial aspect of teaching is communication. We must be able to listen to our students and understand their needs, as well as convey our expectations and feedback clearly. This involves not only verbal communication but also non-verbal cues, such as body language and facial expressions. By being effective communicators, we can build strong relationships with our students and create a more engaging andproductive learning experience. Moreover, it is important for teachers to be lifelong learners themselves. The world is constantly evolving, and new knowledge and technologies are emerging every day. By staying updated with the latest educational trends and techniques, we can better adapt to the changing needs of our students and the society. This also means that we should be open to learning from our students, as they can teach us valuable lessons about resilience, creativity, and adaptability.Lastly, I would like to emphasize the importance of collaboration among teachers. We all have different strengths and weaknesses, and by working together, we can create a more well-rounded and effective learning environment. Sharing our experiences, resources, and ideas can not only enhance our teaching skills but also foster a sense of community among educators. In conclusion, teaching is a noble profession that requires dedication, patience, and passion. It is through our efforts that we can shape the future of our students and contribute to the betterment of society. Let us continue to work together, support each other, and strive for excellence in our teaching careers.Thank you for your attention.。

2018英语教师演讲稿(4篇)cation, my working relationship with judge thomas was positive.i had a good deal of responsibility and independence. i thought he respected my work and that he trusted my judgment. after approximately three months of working there, he asked me to go out socially with him.what happened next and telling the world about it are the two most difficult things -- experiences of my life. it is only after a great deal of agonizing consideration and sleepless number -- a great number of sleepless nights that i am able to talk of these unpleasant matters to anyone but my close friends.i declined the invitation to go out socially with him and explained to him that i thought it would jeopardize what at the time i considered to be a very good working relationship. i had a normal social life with other men outside of the office. i believed then, as now, that having a social relationship with a person who was supervising my work would be ill-advised. i was very uncomfortable with the idea and told him so.i thought that by saying no and explaining my reasons my employer would abandon his social suggestions. however, to myregret, in the following few weeks, he continued to ask me out on several occasions. he pressed me to justify my reasons for saying no to him. these incidents took place in his office or mine. they were in the form of private conversations which would not have been overheard by anyone else.my working relationship became even more strained when judge thomas began to use work situations to discuss sex. on these occasions, he would call me into his office for reports on education issues and projects, or he might suggest that, because of the time pressures of his schedule, we go to lunch to a government cafeteria. after a brief discussion of work, he would turn the conversation to a discussion of sexual matters.his conversations were very vivid. he spoke about acts that he had seen in pornographic films involving such matters as women having sex with animals and films showing group sex or rape scenes. he talked about pornographic materials depicting individuals with large penises or large breasts involved in various sex acts. on several occasions, thomas told me graphically of his own sexual prowess.because i was extremely uncomfortable talking about sex with him at all and particularly in such a graphic way, i told him that i did not want to talk about these subjects. i wouldalso try to change the subject to education matters or to nonsexual personal matters such as his background or his beliefs. my efforts to change the subject were rarely successful.throughout the period of these conversations, he also from time to time asked me for social engagements. my reaction to these conversations was to avoid them by eliminating opportunities for us to engage in extended conversations. this was difficult because at the time i was his only assistant at the office of education -- or office for civil rights.during the latter part of my time at the department of education, the social pressures and any conversation of his offensive behavior ended. i began both to believe and hope that our working relationship could be a proper, cordial, and professional one.when judge thomas was made chair of the eeoc, i needed to face the question of whether to go with him. i was asked to do so, and i did. the work itself was interesting, and at that time it appeared that the sexual overtures which had so troubled me had ended. i also faced the realistic fact that i had no alternative job. while i might have gone back to private practice, perhaps in my old firm or at another, i was dedicatedto civil rights work, and my first choice was to be in that field. moreover, the department of education itself was a dubious venture. president reagan was seeking to abolish the entire department.for my first months at the eeoc, where i continued to be an assistant to judge thomas, there were no sexual conversations or overtures. however, during the fall and winter of 1982, these began again. the comments were random and ranged from pressing me about why i didn't go out with him to remarks about my personal appearance. i remember his saying that some day i would have to tell him the real reason that i wouldn't go out with him.he began to show displeasure in his tone and voice and his demeanor and his continued pressure for an explanation. he commented on what i was wearing in terms of whether it made me more or less sexually attractive. the incidents occurred in his inner office at the eeoc.one of the oddest episodes i remember was an occasion in which thomas was drinking a coke in his office. he got up from the table at which we were working, went over to his desk to get the coke, looked at the can and asked, "who has pubic hair on my coke?" on other occasions, he referred to the size of hisown penis as being larger than normal, and he also spoke on some occasions of the pleasures he had given to women with oral sex.at this point, late 1982, i began to feel severe stress on the job. i began to be concerned that clarence thomas might take out his anger with me by degrading me or not giving me important assignments. i also thought that he might find an excuse for dismissing me.in january of 1983, i began looking for another job. i was handicapped because i feared that, if he found out, he might make it difficult for me to find other employment and i might be dismissed from the job i had. another factor that made my search more difficult was that there was a period -- this was during a period of a hiring freeze in the government. in february of 1983, i was hospitalized for five days on an emergency basis for acute stomach pain which i attributed to stress on the job.once out of the hospital, i became more committed to find other employment and sought further to minimize my contact with thomas. this became easier when allison duncan (sp) became office director, because most of my work was then funneled through her and i had contact with clarence thomas mostly in staff meetings.in the spring of 1983, an opportunity to teach at oral roberts university opened up. i participated in a seminar -- taught an afternoon session and seminar at oral roberts university. the dean of the university saw me teaching and inquired as to whether i would be interested in furthering -- pursuing a career in teaching, beginning at oral roberts university. i agreed to take the job in large part because of my desire to escape the pressures i felt at the eeoc due to judge thomas.when i informed him that i was leaving in july, i recall that his response was that now i would no longer have an excuse for not going out with him. i told him that i still preferred not to do so. at some time after that meeting, he asked if he could take me to dinner at the end of the term. when i declined, he assured me that the dinner was a professional courtesy only and not a social invitation. i reluctantly agreed to accept that invitation, but only if it was at the every end of a working day.on, as i recall, the last day of my employment at the eeoc in the summer of 1983, i did have dinner with clarence thomas. we went directly from work to a restaurant near the office. we talked about the work i had done, both at education and at theeeoc. he told me that he was pleased with all of it except for an article and speech that i had done for him while we were at the office for civil rights. finally, he made a comment that i will vividly remember. he said that if i ever told anyone of his behavior that it would ruin his career. this was not an apology, nor was it an explanation. that was his last remark about the possibility of our going out or reference to his behavior.in july of 1983, i left washington, dc area and have had minimal contactwith judge clarence thomas since. i am of course aware from the press that some questions have been raised about conversations i had with judge clarence thomas after i left the eeoc. from 1983 until today, i have seen judge thomas only twice. on one occasion, i needed to get a reference from him, and on another he made a public appearance in tulsa.on one occasion he called me at home and we had an inconsequential conversation. on one occasion he called me without reaching me, and i returned the call without reaching him, and nothing came of it. i have on at least three occasions, been asked to act as a conduit to him for others.i knew his secretary, diane holt. we had worked togetherat both eeoc and education. there were occasions on which i spoke to her, and on some of these occasions undoubtedly i passed on some casual comment to then chairman thomas. there were a series of calls in the first three months of 1985, occasioned by a group in tulsa, which wished to have a civil rights conference. they wanted judge thomas to be the speaker and enlisted my assistance for this purpose.i did call in january and february to no effect, and finally suggested to the person directly involved, susan cahal (ph) that she put the matter into her own hands and call directly. she did so in march of 1985. in connection with that march invitation, ms. cahal (ph) wanted conference materials for the seminar and some research was needed. i was asked to try to get the information and did attempted to do so.there was another call about another possible conference in july of 1985. in august of 1987, i was in washington, dc and i did call diane holt. in the course of this conversation, she asked me how long i was going to be in town and i told her. it is recorded in the message as august 15. it was, in fact, august 20th. she told me about judge thomas's marriage and i did say congratulate him.it is only after a great deal of agonizing considerationthat i am able to talk of these unpleasant matters to anyone except my closest friends. as i've said before these last few days have been very trying and very hard for me and it hasn't just been the last few days this week. it has actually been over a month now that i have been under the strain of this issue.telling the world is the most difficult experience of my life, but it is very close to having to live through the experience that occasion this meeting. i may have used poor judgment early on in my relationship with this issue. i was aware, however, that telling at any point in my career could adversely affect my future career. and i did not want early on to burn all the bridges to the eeoc.as i said, i may have used poor judgment. perhaps i should have taken angry or even militant steps, both when i was in the agency, or after i left it. but i must confess to the world that the course that i took seemed the better as well as the easier approach.i declined any comment to newspapers, but later when senate staff asked me about these matters i felt i had a duty to report.i have no personal vendetta against clarence thomas. i seek only to provide the committee with information which it may regard as relevant.it would have been more comfortable to remain silent. i took no initiative to inform anyone. but when i was asked by a representative of this committee to report my experience, i felt that i had to tell the truth. i could not keep silent.。
Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is my great honor to stand before you today and address the topic of "The Power of Teachers: Shaping the Future." Teachers are the pillars of our society, the architects of our future, and the keepers of our hopes and dreams. They are the unsung heroes who work tirelessly to nurture, educate, and inspire the next generation.Let us begin by acknowledging the profound impact teachers have on our lives. As we reflect on our own educational journeys, we can undoubtedly recall the teachers who have left an indelible mark on our hearts and minds. These individuals, often unnoticed and underappreciated, have the unique ability to transform lives and alter the course of history.First and foremost, teachers are the architects of knowledge. They possess the wisdom, expertise, and passion to convey complex ideas and concepts in a manner that is accessible and engaging to their students. Through their dedication, teachers unlock the doors to knowledge, enabling students to explore the wonders of the world and ignite their curiosity. It is this curiosity that drives innovation, progress, and discovery.Consider the story of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a towering figure in American history. His journey to become a civil rights leader began with the influence of his elementary school teacher, Mrs. Cain. She saw something special in him and encouraged him to dream big. This teacher's belief in his potential fueled his passion for justice and equality, ultimately leading to the iconic "I Have a Dream" speech and the civil rights movement. Mrs. Cain's impact on Dr. King's life is a testament to the transformative power of a teacher. Moreover, teachers are the mentors who guide students through the complexities of life. They serve as role models, demonstrating the importance of integrity, resilience, and compassion. Through their guidance, students learn to navigate the challenges that lie ahead, developing the skills necessary to succeed in both personal and professional endeavors.Take the case of Malala Yousafzai, the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate. At the tender age of 11, she stood up against the Taliban's oppressive regime in Pakistan, advocating for girls' education. Her bravery and determination were inspired by her teacher, Ms. Tolba, who taught her the value of education and the importance of standing up for what is right. Malala's teacher's influence played a pivotal role in shaping her future, empowering her to become a global advocate for education and women's rights. In addition to imparting knowledge and providing mentorship, teachers are the nurturers who care for the emotional and psychological well-being of their students. They recognize the importance of a supportive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of belonging and fostering a spirit of empathy and understanding. These teachers go above and beyond, investing their time and energy to ensure that every student feels valued and supported.Consider the story of Ms. Brown, a teacher who dedicated her life to educating students in a low-income neighborhood. She understood that her students faced numerous challenges, both inside and outside the classroom. Despite these obstacles, Ms. Brown created a safe and loving space where her students could thrive. Her unwavering dedication and compassion transformed the lives of countless students, giving them the confidence and resilience to pursue their dreams. Now, let us ponder the role of teachers in shaping the future. As we navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing world, the importance of education cannot be overstated. Teachers are the agents of change, equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to address the challenges of tomorrow. They are the architects of a better future, cultivating a generation of critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders. To illustrate this point, let us consider the global pandemic that has disrupted lives and transformed the world as we know it. Teachers have risen to the occasion, adapting to new teaching methods and embracing technology to ensure that education continues uninterrupted. They have become virtual mentors, guiding students through remote learning environments and fostering a sense of community despite physicaldistance. Their resilience and adaptability are a testament to their commitment to shaping the future. In conclusion, teachers are the pillars of our society, the architects of our future, and the keepers of our hopes and dreams. They are the unsung heroes who work tirelessly to nurture, educate, and inspire the next generation. Through their dedication, they unlock the doors to knowledge, provide mentorship and guidance, and foster a sense of belonging and empathy. As we celebrate the power of teachers, let us not forget to acknowledge their invaluable contributions. Let us support them in their noble endeavors, recognizing the importance of their work and ensuring that they have the resources and recognition they deserve. Together, we can create a world where teachers are celebrated, valued, and empowered to shape the future for generations to come.Thank you.。

So I was so proud to become a teacher when I graduated from the university. As a new teacher, I felt good and confident at first. Because the knowledge of middle school was so easy. I had thought that I could do better even though I didn’t prepare for the lessons. But that day a little boy named Yu Fangzheng changed my mind completely . 2018英语教师演讲稿(4篇)in a twinkle of an eye, sixteen years has passed since i became an english teacher. looking back, i have experienced pleasure, success as well as confusion and sadness. but i think there is much to be grateful for. during the first two years in sz, i had a hard time in my teaching career. why do i say so? on one hand, i like the city because it is young, vital, beautiful and full of challenges. on the other hand, many students in the common classes are quite different from my former students. they didn't study hard at all. they were too indolent in class, talking, sleeping and doing anything that they like. it is a common sight for them not to do homework. they didn't care about their school marks. they just wanted to get much but paid little. what is more, they showed deaf ears to your advice or criticism for their mistakes or faults. when i wanted to point out their mistakes, i should weigh my words over and over not to hurt their feelings. i felt as if i lost my way in the sea. i even had such an idea: to give up the job as an english teacher.but an event changed my mind. one day, a student had a talk with me in my office. his words always linger in my mind. he said: "ms hu, may i ask you a question?"i answered "sure." then he talked just like an old friend of mine. he said: "i can see you don't feel happy now because many of us don't study hard. we are too naughty and sometimes we make troubles, or play tricks in class on purpose. we are forced to learn many things that are boring, useless and not valuable. so we are tired of studying. have you ever been forced to do anything that you really didn't want to do? if so, you can understand why the students do so." i was deeply shocked by his words. as a teacher, i seldom think about the question in the position of the students. then i asked him what was his idea of a good english teacher. he was a little shy first but after a moment he was eloquent again. he said: "i think a good teacher should be the students' close friend who shares their ups and downs. he should be passionate about many things―books, sports, literature, films and fashion. he is humorous and not too critical about the students' mistakes or faults. he not only asks the students to listen to himbut also likes listening to the students. he nourishes and broadens our horizon because of his profound knowledge. he won't just focus on the students' marks but cares more about the students' development in many ways. in his class he should have a powerful emotional impact. so after his lesson we can read, write, think and learn better…"i couldn't believe these words running out of the mouth of a middle school student. his words enlightened me suddenly just like a bright lamp in the darkness... from his words we know it is not easy to be a good teacher. but since then i began to think and reflect myself in my teaching. as a teacher, first we should love the students like our own children. i try to stand in the students' position, understand them, help them and at the same time improve our teaching skills and method. in my spare time i read the books which the students are interested in so that i can understand them better. now more and more of my students show interest in english and i feel happy to be an english teacher, too. do you have such experience as i have, dear friends? today i'd like to share a sentence with all of you. ifthere were no cloud, would the sky feel lonely? if there were no sky, where should the cloud wander?that is all for my speech. thank you for you attention.
