考拉小巫的英语笔记学习英语之单词篇考拉的背词方法:考拉的方法是,反复看。

总结为一句话,我觉得背单词的精髓,就是重复加重复,而且是短时间内高效率的重复,这样最容易记住。

第一步:先看一下一共有多少个单词。

然后定一下目标,大概自己要花多久背完这本书。

例如人家有3000单词量,自己打算花30天背完,就一天背100个单词。

第二步:打开书,从A的第一个单词数起,数到第100个,画一条横线与下面的单词截断,横线上面用醒目的笔写:2010年1月2日之前完成,然后从第101个单词数起,数100个,第200个单词的地方拿横线截断,横线上写2010年1月3日之前完成,以此类推。

等把3000个单词都画完,基本就知道自己的日程如何安排了。

这样的方法一是可以让自己知道每天到底要背多少单词,背到哪里,第二是可以时刻监督自己按时完成计划。

背单词就是个苦差事,不要总是太惯着自己。

第三步:再把书从头看一遍,这次的任务是划去自己已经认识了的单词。

第四步:划完认识的单词以后,就可以开始背单词了。

背单词的时候,并没有看到第一个词就“apple, apple”的读,那样速度又慢,效率又低。

我背单词的时候从来没有重复地读,也没有重复地写,只是重复地看,从头看到尾,再看回来。

(Step 1) 把第1到100个单词,先慢速的背一遍,背的时候要用自己的方法尝试记住它们。

记单词的时候,可以尽情发挥自己所知道的所有的背单词的方法,比如联想法啊,读音规律法啊,词根词缀法啊,你都可以把这些方法用上。

(Step 2) 第100个单词看完以后,马上回头继续重新从第一个看起。

这次要全部堵住中文意思。

堵住中文意思,就是要考核自己第一次初记的效果怎么样。

如果情况不好,千万别郁闷,这是正常的。

Step 1 + Step 2 被称为初记。

(Step 3) 第二遍记忆的方法要这样:首先在这一百个单词中,把第一次就记住了意思的单词用铅笔轻轻划去,用铅笔划去初记时竟然记住了的单词,然后开始第二遍记忆。

我其实很不擅长写阅读篇,因为自己在阅读方面没有任何方法可言,也从来没有进行过诸如口语、听力之类的系统的练习。

我自己本身在复习GRE的时候就是很怵阅读的。

不是我读不懂,是我读懂了以后题目也做不对。

我不知道为啥。

其他考试我都能轻松搞定,唯有GRE阅读能把我搞死。

还好在美国学习是不需要答题的,只需要每天读书就行了。

1. 考拉的阅读经历很早的时候就开始读英文的东西了,初中的时候妈妈就跑到新华书店买了整个一套书虫,大家都知道那套书吧,绿色的磨砂皮的,很薄,基本是外国大部分名著的精简版,词语都很简单。

这里要再次感谢妈妈对我的要求从来都是有求必应,全世界最好的妈妈,叩拜中......所以阅读英文原著的兴趣是从初中培养起来的。

最初开始读的时候,被满篇不认识的生词打击的够呛,现在我翻开这些书,看到自己标的密密麻麻的生词,都觉得很感动。

那个时候劲头那么足呢?!那个时候发现竟然连“excited“这种词都不认识,哈哈哈哈哈啊哈~初中的时候虽然读的东西很简单,但养成了一直延续至今的很好很好的语感。

如果说阅读英文对英语水平有好处的话,那么我觉得最大的好处就是提高语感。

它可以让你知道一句正确的英文读起来是一个什么感觉。

这种感觉太重要了,它可以让我在从来不用学习语法的情况下(是真的,我没学过语法,我根本不知道什么叫谓语什么什么句,定语什么状语句,什么吊什么结构,靠,我想举个例子都举不出来,可见我的语法有多差),可以把语法题全部都做对。

网上关于这本书的书评和讨论也不少,在这里,我把书中出现的几个我认为对外语学习者最有帮助的观点提炼出来,以简短的文字分列之。

关于坚持考拉小巫在自己的书中里面无数次提到她自创的“傻子哲学”。

她说“傻子为什么能成功,因为他很傻,不管做不做成他都一直在坚持”。

很多人学外语可能最多两个月就坚持不下去了,我想说,母语者以高负荷的方式训练了几十年的技能,你一业余选手凭什么和人家比。

关于发音和模仿她在书中着重强调了是语调问题。

这个问题是绝大多数中国英语学习者忽略了的问题。

因为汉语是声调语言,单个字的声调以固定频率的形式出现,所以句子的语调基本是平的。

很多外语学习者可能不知道,英语语调有传递情绪的功能,语调变化甚至能传递说话人的潜台词,比如:反语、讽刺、犹豫、建议等等。

错误的语调会让听话人疑惑。

考拉小巫的纠正方法是录音,和原文对比。

不过几年之后的今天有简单的解决办法,下个配音软件,一切就OK了。

光比对原声不行,还得改善,考拉小巫的方式简单粗暴,就两个字,模仿。

口语自我修炼法考拉小巫用方法的核心和十二国外语大神本尼·刘易斯的“一分钟迷你讲话稿”不谋而合。

也是准备一些小的短文,从向对方描述自己的一天,从这些简单的开始,慢慢加大难度,用口语去形容一个事物和形容一个人物。

后面开始甚至还要求举实例论证,最后是现学现用,把学过的词马上使用起来。

隐藏的听写大法考拉小巫有字幕组的经历,我认为这可能是她英语突飞猛进的一个关键因素。

她在做电影字幕,很多时候有听译,听译实际上我们平时的听写是差不多的,而且字幕是要见人的,所以从头到尾容不得一点马虎,可以说,考拉小巫在强迫自己一次一次做高强度听写+理解输出。

而且在听译这么多电影的过程中,她一定大量有反复听同一电影的经历。

所以,她被她嚼烂了的电影的量,甚至高过一部分人泛读的量。

精听精读是提高技能的一个关键步骤,如果她精听的量超过了普通人精读的量,那么我们有理由相信,她至少在接收信息这一方面,有了很大的提高。

3 我觉得作者很善于反思,每次遇到挫折都会去分析背后的原因、自己的心态。

我同意她说的“不要让恐惧来为你做决定”。

有时候一件事还没开始我们就放弃了,可能就是因为害怕失败的恐惧在作祟。

还有她说要像傻子一样去坚持,不要计较是不是能很快看到成效。

她也说不要和别人比,因为人外有人,要和昨天的自己比,看今天的自己是不是有进步。

这些信念支撑着她一步一步走向了成功。

4 在一个人还没形成良好的学习习惯时,有一个比学赶帮的伙伴,学习效果会更好。

我想我该去反思一下自己面对的问题具体是什么,“英文不够好”究竟是哪里不够好,哪里需要提高?我是不是也有恐惧心态,所以迟迟没有开始行动?接下来制定一个计划,就要坚持做下去。

当然计划开始不要太难坚持,不然很快就放弃了。

考拉小巫只写了两部书,而我最喜爱的是她讲到自己的过去,讲到自己奋斗历程的那本《考拉小巫的英语学习日记》。

她在书中谈到了自己童年和少年的旧事,她曾是一个那样不上进的学生,一次次因为懒惰而造成的失败却在那段大学生活中颠覆了:她遇到了生命中珍贵的学友“胖咸鱼”,她开始了早出晚归的英语学习历程。

一次次遭受失败,一次次经历心灵上的压力,一次次徘徊和失望……但可贵的是她从未放弃。

经过重重关卡,她现在可是美国华盛顿大学的心理咨询师!曾经我是一个一度自卑的人,一次次失败的“旧账”把有梦的我困在了不敢追逐的低谷里。

我总是害怕自己会失败,我总是害怕梦想说出来遭别人嘲笑,我总是害怕所有的心血都前功尽弃,于是我停滞不前……是她!是考拉小巫!她告诉了我有梦就追,“努力了就有可能成功,不努力就一点成功的几率都没有了。

”的道理;她告诉我关于傻子哲学的故事,“傻子不会考虑太多,他们就是执着的走在自己梦想的道路上,从未回头,于是,他们比聪明人更快到达了终点。

”;她告诉我三米灯光的经验“开车开在黑暗中,请不要害怕,如果你的灯光打得到你前方三米的位置,那么就看准那三米,不要担心前路。

竟然知道了下一步要怎么走,就不要过分担忧未来。

”是的,我们总是想太多做太少。

在追求梦想的道路上,我们是需要思考,但要思考的是怎么去实现梦想,而不是自己能不能接近自己的梦想。

就像歌里说的那样“最初的梦想,绝对会到达。

”,在考拉小巫的鼓舞下,我学会了勇往直前,一步步接近我的梦想。

:)决定必须一鼓作气把答应了许久的这篇文章写下来,要不然开学以后就永远没时间写了。

长话短说,直奔主题。

就按听说读写译的顺序来写吧。

一、听力1. 考拉的方法在以前很多很多文章里,都已经写过很多遍自己是如何练习听力的了(请查看这里)。

但是这次就稍微再写的具体一些吧。

所以,以后凡是询问“考拉你以前是怎么练听力的?”之类的问题,请一律看这里。

自己的总体方法:精听step by step,泛听VOA和BBC。

先说泛听:是从大二为专四做准备的时候,才开始练习听力的。

之前的练习都是很不规律、很无计划的练习,所以称不上为方法。

但从大二时,便开始了有自己的一套方法。

方法如下。

早晨基本六点或六点半起来开始听听力。

没有听过VOA慢速,因为真的觉得慢速如果听惯了,会形成对其很大的依赖性。

所以当时开始练习时,听的是VOA常速。

每天早晨从六点半一直听到八点,八点整上课的时候,VOA准时结束播音。

VOA结束以后,频率稍微向下拨一下,就是BBC,八点左右的时候BBC正好开始它的谈话节目,语速很快,很久以来一直都没有听懂,是后来积累了很久才开始听懂的。

听的时候,我是这么听的:要很用心很用心的去听,不要边听边和别人聊天,不要边听边看书,不要边听边观看行人走路。

一定要用心。

用心的意思是,播音员说一句以后,脑子里要尽量以最快的速度反应过来他在说的是哪些词和句子。

不要郁闷自己现在做不到。

做不到是正常的。

如果刚开始练习你就能百分之百正确快速地反映出来每一句话,那你不是人,洗洗睡吧。

如果现在你做不到,应该高兴才对,因为你有极大的提升空间。

一开始也因为自己做不到,听了等于白听,很是郁闷了一阵子。

但后来发现了:如果我能做到,我岂不是不用练?既然要练,就是因为自己做不到,为了自己早日能做到,所以更是要勤加练习。

所以那个时候非常用心地听,一开始是人家N长的句子出去,我才能明白几个词,慢慢到后来,就能明白一连串词,到最后来,就能把整个句子的意思听明白了。

第一次翻开这本书,还在大二,在那个特别困惑,迷茫的时间里因为有了这本书,我才能不断的成长。

整本书除了分享英语学习方法外,考拉小巫还分享了她与伊甸园字幕组的亲密接触、她被全美专业排名第一的美国名校录取的成功申请经验、她在美国的求学生活以及在美语环境中关于英语学习的新思考和新感悟……
这不仅仅是一部英语学习日记,更是一本她在彷徨、动摇和无助时的人生感悟,是关于坚持、奋斗和梦想的碎碎念,是关于她一路走来对所有的所学所得和所思所想的沉淀。

从书中的叙述不难看出她对梦想和奋斗的崇尚,相信这本励志书一定能激发你去为理想奋斗和拼搏。

1 那个时候,我从来都没有意识到,其实从小到大,做的每
件事,走的每步路,无论是好是坏,都将会是自己人生里一个永远无法磨灭的烙印。

2 我在心里问自己:“这,就是大学了吗?接下来,我该做什么?我到底为什么要上大学?大学是什么?
大学这四年我到底该怎么度过?这一切的选择到底对吗?人生又是什么?人生的意义何在?
我这辈子到底要做什么?到底该做什么?和我的朋友们比起来,我之前为什么失败了?我到
底错在哪里?只因我学习不够刻苦吗?如果是的话,人,又是为了什么而学习?为了什么而
奋斗?为了什么而坚持?为了什么而活着?”
3 你要贪玩儿,可以,但是要记住,贪玩儿是要付出代价的。

你要想得到一样东西,必然要放弃另外一样东西。

老天爷是公平的,他不可能让你什么都得到。

当你贪玩儿的时候,别人都在奋斗,所谓逆水行舟,不进则退。

老天爷只给了人生两种味道,苦与甜。

如果你选择前半生吃苦,那么就可以后半生享乐。

但如果你选择前半生享乐,那么就只能做好后半辈子吃苦的准备了。

4 人生是要奋斗的,顺境要奋斗,逆境更要如此。

人生因奋斗而有意义,没有奋斗的人生就像行尸走肉一般。

只有通过奋斗,你才能实现对未来的规划和理想。

5 做该做的事,然后坚持下去。

作为正在为梦想奋斗的人,最重要的事要有勇气,要有气魄,要有担当。

事情不是用嘴说说就可以了结了的,必须要亲自去做,而且必须要从头做起。

6对于未来,我只梦想最好的情况,并定下最踏实的计划,而绝不花时间在无谓的担心上,因为我知道,只要把我对自己的承诺付诸实践,我的未来将不会只是一个梦。

7 人生不会因为我爬上了某座山,就彻底终止。

在人生的美丽画卷中,永远都有更远更高更雄伟的山峰,等待我去攀登。

如果因为过去的小成绩,就停下前进的脚步,那么我的人生将只有过去那一点可怜的回忆。

过去的成功,不代表现在,更不映射未来。

当完成一个阶段的目标时,自己的一切都应该被清零,应该从头开始奋斗。

8 听力老师马俊说:当你感到痛苦、悲哀、疯狂、郁闷、崩溃、绝望、想拿刀插自己的时候,祝贺你,你在走上坡路!你在进步!如果你过着这样的生活并且enjoy这种痛苦,那么更要祝贺你,你已经成功一半了。

但是当你感觉很high、很爽、很兴奋、很开心,觉得生活真滋润,一边学一边嗑瓜子、吃薯片、听音乐的时候,那么也祝贺你,你在走下坡路,洗洗睡吧……
马俊老师还说:捷径永远是布满艰辛和痛苦的道路,正因为如此,很少有人能走成捷径。

9 那个时候,我感觉自己好像是一名正在执行任务的士兵,目标是翻越一座大山(托福)。

山并不是很高(托福难,但不如GRE难),但由于是一座新山(新托福),所以路途比较崎岖,找不到爬上去的路,偶尔能看到已经出发的人所留下的模糊的脚印。

我试图踩着别人的脚印前行,但是踩下这个脚印的人是谁,体力如何,脚大脚小,最后到底是爬上去还是没爬上去,我都不知道。

我只能拿他们踩下的路作为参考。

也许,选择别的路线,或者用别的方式爬,会更适合我?这一切都是未知的。

我能做的,只是去尝试,并通过多番尝试,找到最适合自己的路线和爬行方式。

开爬,累了就歇歇,歇好了,继续爬,日升而作,日落而息。

10 大多数优秀的人之所以优秀,是因为他奋斗过。

不要光看他今日金光闪闪的表面,要学习他昨日勤勤恳恳的付出。

11有时候人总会在浮躁的社会和生活中变得浮躁,甚至会变得比社会本身都更浮躁。

只有书和从书中得到的力量才能让自己沉淀下来,静下来。

静下来后,才能找到自己最初的方向。

12 状态不是空想出来的,而是需要去行动,通过行动取得进步,通过进步肯定自己,通过肯定自己,让心里变得踏实,然后才能找到状态和感觉。

从考拉小巫身上我学到了坚持,更让我感动的是她的拼劲,那股子年轻人的朝气蓬勃,似乎有挥霍不完的青春。

而反思我们这一代的年轻人,身上还有多少锐意进取、干劲十足、青春无敌的精气神,渐渐得变得喜欢随大流、甘于平庸安逸生活、不愿冒尖。

做一个像考拉小巫一样勇敢的人,为自己的梦想而拼!。
