(汉代服饰与汉人的价值观)

Most of the suiting system of Han dynasty came from that of Qin Dynasty.The Han clothing is not equal to Hanfu, Hanfu is the Han nationality traditional clothing. The textile industry of Han dynasty was developed, so rich people could wear beautiful clothes, general people wore jacket and pants, while poor families could only wear short brown (made of coarse linen jacket). In Han dynasty women wore two-piece, always with robs. There were so many styles of dress. One of the most famous is called "fairy dress".

（汉朝的服装制度，许多都承袭秦制。汉朝服饰不等于汉服，汉服为汉族传统服饰。汉代因为织绣工业很发达，所以有钱人家就可以穿绫罗绸缎漂亮的衣服。一般人家穿的是短衣长裤，贫穷人家穿的是短褐﹝粗布做的短衣﹞。汉朝的妇女穿着有衣裙两件式，也有长袍，裙子的样式也多了，最有名的是流仙裙。）

People of different ranks wore different clothes, which embodied that Husbands guided wives, Emperor guided courtiers, and fathers guided sons. At that time people had to obey who were in higher levels, without any question. Obviously we can see that why modern Chinese people are not used to asking “why”.
