M5U2 They were young.教学设计凉州区西苑实验小学李瑞英一、教材分析本课是外研版(三起)小学英语四年级下册第五模块第二课时。

本课的教学内容是在上一课学习运用was和were描述过去事物的特征或状态的基础上,进一步学习运用was,were,wasn’t 和weren’t描述过去事物的特征或状态,对比过去和现在的不同。

课文通过三组图片的展示和对比,向学生揭示了这样一个道理:事物是会变化的,要用发展的眼光看事物。

课文难度不大,教师在教学过程中应注重本课知识的巩固和拓展。

学完本课时,要求全体学生能完成教学目标和任务。

二、学情分析本课的教学对象是四年级的小学生,经过一年多的英语学习,大多数学生对英语有浓厚的兴趣,乐于在课堂学习中表现自己,但有一小部分学生对学习英语存在惰性,兴趣不高。

所以教师本节课运用多媒体手段设计了多种多样的教学活动来调动学生参与英语学习的积极性,激发学生的探知欲。

通过第一单元的学习,学生对be动词的一般过去时用法有一定的了解,但对于部分学生来说,熟练运用was和were描述过去事物的特征或状态仍有些难度。

希望通过本课多种多样的教学活动,进一步提高学生综合语言运用能力。

三、教学目标1、语言知识⑴全体学生能运用:She wasn’t tall then. They were young.They weren’t old then.这样的语句对比过去与现在的不同之处。
