All applicable legal or institutional installation regulations must be complied with during installation. The device may only be opened at the manufacturer's site. It does not contain any parts that can be replaced or repaired by the user.Cables must not be removed from the device. The rotary supports and coupling pieces available as accessories must always be used if transverse forces are likely. In addition, the actuator must not be tightly bolted to the application. It must remain movable via the rotary support (refer to «Installation notes»).If the actuator is exposed to severely contaminated ambient air, appropriate precautions must be taken on the system side. Excessive deposits of dust, soot etc. can prevent the gear rod from being extended and retracted correctly. If not installed horizontally, the maual override button may only be actuated when there is no pressure on the gear rod.To calculate the actuating force required for air dampers and slide valves, the specifications supplied by the damper manufacturers concerning the cross- section and the design, as well as the installation situation and the ventilation conditions must be observed. If a rotary support and/or coupling piece is used, actuation force losses are to be expected. The device contains electrical and electronic components and must not be disposed of as household refuse. All locally valid regulations and requirements must be observed.Product featuresOperating modeConventional operation:The actuator is connected with a standard control signal of 0...10 V and drives to the position defined by the control signal. Measuring voltage U serves for the electrical display of the damper position 0...100% and as control signal for other actuators.Operation on Bus:The actuator receives its digital control signal from the higher level controller via the MP-Bus and drives to the position defined. Connection U serves as communication interface and does not supply an analogue measuring voltage. The actuator has a seal closing function. The mechanical end stop is actively approached as soon as the control signal < DC 2.1 V or > DC 9.9 V. As soon as the control signal is again > DC 2.2 V or < DC 9.8 V, the actuator drives to the position defined by the control signal in the adapted range.Converter for sensorsConnection option for a sensor (passive or active sensor or switching contact). The MPactuator serves as an analogue/digital converter for the transmission of the sensor signal via MP-Bus to the higher level system.Parametrisable actuators The factory settings cover the most common applications. Single parameters can be modified with the Belimo service tools MFT-P or ZTH EU.Simple direct mountingThe actuator can be directly connected with the application using the enclosed screws. The head of the gear rod is connected to the moving part of the ventilating application individually on the mounting side or with the Z-KS1 coupling piece provided for this purpose.Manual overrideManual override with push-button possible (the gear train is disengaged for as long as the button is pressed or remains locked).SH24A-MP200Adjustable strokeIf a stroke limitation will be adjusted, the operating range on this side of the gear rod can be used starting with an extension length of 20 mm and then can be limited respectively in increments of 20 mm by means of the mechanical end stops Z-AS1.High functional reliabilityThe actuator is overload protected, requires no limit switches and automatically stops when the end stop is reached.Home positionThe first time the supply voltage is switched on, i.e. at the time of commissioning, the actuator carries out a synchronisation. The synchronisation is in the home position (0%).The actuator then moves into the position defined by the control signal.Adaptation and synchronisationAn adaptation can be triggered manually by pressing the "Adaptation" button or with the PC-Tool. Both mechanical end stops are detected during the adaptation (entire setting range).Automatic synchronisation after pressing the manual override button is configured. The synchronisation is in the home position (0%).The actuator then moves into the position defined by the control signal.A range of settings can be adapted using the PC-Tool (see MFT-P documentation)Product featuresAccessoriesGatewaysDescriptionType Gateway MP to BACnet MS/TP UK24BAC Gateway MP to Modbus RTUUK24MOD Electrical accessoriesDescriptionType Signal converter voltage/current 100 kΩ 4...20 mA, Supply AC/DC 24 V Z-UIC Positioner for wall mounting SGA24Positioner for built-in mounting SGE24Positioner for front-panel mounting SGF24Positioner for wall mountingCRP24-B1MP-Bus power supply for MP actuatorsZN230-24MP Mechanical accessoriesDescriptionType End stop kit, Multipack 20 pcs.Z-AS1Rotary support, for linear actuator, for compensation of transverse forcesZ-DS1Coupling piece M8Z-KS1ToolsDescriptionType Service tool, with ZIP-USB function, for parametrisable andcommunicative Belimo actuators, VAV controller and HVAC performance devicesZTH EUBelimo PC-Tool, Software for adjustments and diagnostics MFT-P Adapter for Service-Tool ZTHMFT-C Connecting cable 5 m, A: RJ11 6/4 ZTH EU, B: 6-pin for connection to service socketZK1-GEN Connecting cable 5 m, A: RJ11 6/4 ZTH EU, B: free wire end for connection to MP/PP terminalZK2-GENElectrical installationSupply from isolating transformer.Parallel connection of other actuators possible. Connect a high-voltage cable from the protection module OUT terminal to the high-voltage power supply.4. Engage the interlock on the back of the high-voltage power supply by connecting pin 1 to pin 2.The high-voltage power supply is capable of sourcing hazardous live high voltages that cancause personal injury or death due to electric shock. This unit should be used only byqualified personnel who recognize the dangers of high voltages.Make certain that the source is turned off and that high voltage is completely dischargedbefore removing the high-voltage cable. High-voltage cables can store a charge if they aredisconnected from the supply while the high voltage is on. The charge on the cable cancause injury or damage even after the cable is disconnected from the unit. The high-voltage power supply is provided with an interlock circuit that must be engaged toallow high-voltage output. The interlock helps facilitate safe operation of the equipment in atest system. Bypassing the interlock could expose the operator to hazardous voltages thatcould result in personal injury or death.5. Turn on the high-voltage power supply.6. Set the current limit of the high-voltage power supply to 1 mA.7. Set the high-voltage power supply for 300 V DC.8. Turn the high-voltage output on and verify that the high-voltage power supply is in current limit.9. Although some instruments and accessories would normally be used with nonhazardous voltages, there are situations where hazardous conditions may be present. This product is intended for use by qualified personnel who recognize shock hazards and are familiar with the safety precautions required to avoid possible injury. Read and follow all installation, operation, and maintenance information carefully before using the product. Refer to the user documentation for complete product specifications. If the product is used in a manner not specified, the protection provided by the product warranty may be impaired. The types of product users are:Responsible body is the individual or group responsible for the use and maintenance of equipment, for ensuring that the equipment is operated within its specifications and operating limits, and for ensuring that operators are adequately trained. Operators use the product for its intended function. They must be trained in electrical safety procedures and proper use of the instrument. They must be protected from electric shock and contact with hazardous live circuits.Maintenance personnel perform routine procedures on the product to keep it operating properly, for example, setting the line voltage or replacing consumable materials. Maintenance procedures are described in the user documentation. The procedures explicitly state if the operator may perform them. Otherwise, they should be performed only by service personnel.Service personnel are trained to work on live circuits, perform safe installations, and repair products. Only properly trained service personnel may perform installation and service procedures.Keithley Instruments products are designed for use with electrical signals that are measurement, control, and data I/O connections, with low transient overvoltages, and must not be directly connected to mains voltage or to voltage sources with high transient overvoltages. Measurement Category II (as referenced in IEC 60664) connections require protection for high transient overvoltages often associated with local AC mains connections. Certain Keithley measuring instruments may be connected to mains. These instruments will be marked as category II or higher.Unless explicitly allowed in the specifications, operating manual, and instrument labels, do not connect any instrument to mains.Exercise extreme caution when a shock hazard is present. Lethal voltage may be present on cable connector jacks or test fixtures. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) states that a shock hazard exists when voltage levels greater than30 V RMS, 42.4 V peak, or 60 VDC are present. A good safety practice is to expect that hazardous voltage is present in any unknown circuit before measuring.Operators of this product must be protected from electric shock at all times. The responsible body must ensure that operatorsare prevented access and/or insulated from every connection point. In some cases, connections must be exposed to potential human contact. Product operators in these circumstances must be trained to protect themselves from the risk of electric shock. If the circuit is capable of operating at or above 1000 V, no conductive part of the circuit may be exposed.Do not connect switching cards directly to unlimited power circuits. They are intended to be used with impedance-limited sources. NEVER connect switching cards directly to AC mains. When connecting sources to switching cards, install protective devices to limit fault current and voltage to the card. Before operating an instrument, ensure that the line cord is connected to a properly-grounded power receptacle. Inspect the connecting cables, test leads, and jumpers for possible wear, cracks, or breaks before each use. When installing equipment where access to the main power cord is restricted, such as rack mounting, a separate main input power disconnect device must be provided in close proximity to the equipment and within easy reach of the operator. For maximum safety, do not touch the product, test cables, or any other instruments while power is applied to the circuit under test. ALWAYS remove power from the entire test system and discharge any capacitors before: connecting or disconnecting cables or jumpers, installing or removing switching cards, or making internal changes, such as installing or removing jumpers.Do not touch any object that could provide a current path to the common side of the circuit under test or power line (earth) ground. Always make measurements with dry hands while standing on a dry, insulated surface capable of withstanding the voltage being measured. For safety, instruments and accessories must be used in accordance with the operating instructions. If the instruments or accessories are used in a manner not specified in the operating instructions, the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.Do not exceed the maximum signal levels of the instruments and accessories, as defined in the specifications and operating information, and as shown on the instrument or test fixture panels, or switching card. When fuses are used in a product, replace with the same type and rating for continued protection against fire hazard.Chassis connections must only be used as shield connections for measuring circuits, NOT as protective earth (safety ground) connections. If you are using a test fixture, keep the lid closed while power is applied to the device under test. Safe operation requires the use of a lid interlock. If a screw is present, connect it to protective earth (safety ground) using the wire recommended in the user documentation. The symbol on an instrument means caution, risk of danger. The user must refer to the operating instructions located in the user documentation in all cases where the symbol is marked on the instrument. The symbol on an instrument means caution, risk of electric shock. Use standard safety precautions to avoid personal contact with these voltages. The symbol on an instrument shows that the surface may be hot. Avoid personal contact to prevent burns. The symbol indicates a connection terminal to the equipment frame. If this symbol is on a product, it indicates that mercury is present in the display lamp. Please note that the lamp must be properly disposed of according to federal, state, and local laws. The WARNING heading in the user documentation explains dangers that might result in personal injury or death. Always read the associated information very carefully before performing the indicated procedure. The CAUTION heading in the user documentation explains hazards that could damage the instrument. Such damage may invalidate the warranty.Instrumentation and accessories shall not be connected to humans. Before performing any maintenance, disconnect the line cord and all test cables. To maintain protection from electric shock and fire, replacement components in mains circuits — including the power transformer, test leads, and input jacks — must be purchased from Keithley Instruments. Standard fuses with applicable national safety approvals may be used if the rating and type are the same. Other components that are not safety-related may be purchased from other suppliers as long as they are equivalent to the original component (note that selected parts should be purchased only through Keithley Instruments to maintain accuracy and functionality of the product). If you are unsure about the applicability of a replacement component, call a Keithley Instruments office for information. To clean an instrument, use a damp cloth or mild, water-based cleaner. Clean the exterior of the instrument only. Do not apply cleaner directly to the instrument or allow liquids to enter or spill on the instrument. Products that consist of a circuit board with no case or chassis (e.g., a data acquisition board for installation into a computer) should never require cleaning if handled according to instructions. If the board becomes contaminated and operation is affected, the board should be returned to the factory for proper cleaning/servicing.Safety precaution revision as of January 2013.。

Do not attempt to service the product beyond what is described in the user maintenance instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.1. INPUTSThe electronically balanced XLR MIC input is designed to accept signalsfrom any balanced or unbalanced low impedance (Low Z) microphone. Thisinput can also be used for low line level signals. Make sure to turn downthe preceding unit to avoid distortion. The XLR jack is configured for: Pin1 =ground, Pin2 = positive (+), Pin3 = negative (-). Note, the Mic input is moresensitive than the Line input. The 1⁄4” TRS LINE input is designed to accept balanced or unbalancedlinelevel signals such as those from keyboards, drum machines, or samplers. If a balanced signal is to be connected to the line input, then a 1/4” TRS(stereo) phone plug should be wired for: Tip = positive (+), Ring = negative(-), Sleeve = ground.Note: Both Mic input and Line input can be used simultaneously if desired, however audio levels cannot be adjusted separately.2. LINE OUTThis 1⁄4” unbalanced output can be used to daisy-chain multiple PM-200A orsend the input signal directly to a mixer, PA system, or recording device. TheLine Output is not affected by the Volume controls or EQ.3. VOLUMEThis adjusts the signal level sent to the internal speakers, external speaker, and headphone outputs.MAKE SURE TO AVOID EXCESSIVE CLIPPING OF THE POWER AMPLIFIERThe Volume should be adjusted to be comfortably audible without excessiveclipping. The red clipping LED indicator, located on the front baffle, will lightwhen the amplifier is within 3dB of clipping. It is acceptable if the red LEDlights occasionally. If the red LED lights more than occasionally, you shouldturn down the volume to avoid audible distortion and possible damage tothe speakers or amplifier. The PM-200A uses a high power amplifier in a small enclosure for maximum power and portability combined. Care should be taken to avoid overheating and possibly damaging the power amp or speakers with excessive clipping.Note: Speakers and amplifiers damaged due to hard clipping are not covered under warranty.4. EQThe three-band equalizer section utilizes a HIGH, MID, and BASS EQ control, each of which has 12dB of cut and boost, with a center detent for off indication. The frequency response is flat when all three EQ knobs are in the center detent position. The HIGH and BASS shelving controls have their frequencies fixed at 10 KHz and 120Hz respectively. The MID control has a peaking response at 2.5KHz. The EQ is a valuable feature of the PM-200A as it allows the user to control the tonal characteristics of their monitor mix. For example, boosting the BASS can fatten the sound, add warmth to vocals, or extra punch to bass, drums and synths; the MID control can be used to define the midrange or bring out the vocals; and adjusting the HIGH control can provide a crisp sounding high end for high hat and vocal clarity.Another very important, yet often overlooked technique isto use the EQ to subtract from the mix. Cutting the HIGHcontrol can reduce unwanted sibilance, hiss, cymbals, orhigh frequency feedback, while attenuating the MID orBASS can also eliminate feedback or clear up a muddysounding mix. Cutting the HIGH and BASS, then pushingup the Volume control is equivalent to a mid range boost!Note, the PM-200A internal speaker has been specially designed to reduce feedback frequencies while allowing maximum punch from center vocal and instrument tones. This allows clear and comprehensive monitoring with the speaker in close proximity with maximum feedback rejection. The speakers are not meant to be flat in audio quality or used for music reproduction. But when the band or DJ is pumping, they kick out exactly what you need...and then some!5. EXTERNAL SPEAKERSThe PM-200A can also be used to power external speakers for additional monitoring or added volume. Each External Speaker jack can power any number of speakers with a total impedance not being less than 8Ω.The PM-200A actually uses a dual power amp, each side of which is used to power the internal 8Ω speakers. The power amp is capable of delivering up to 50W RMS of clean power to EACH SPEAKER.When additional speakers are connected to the two External Speaker outputs, they are automatically wired in parallel with each internal speaker, reducing the total impedance of each channel. If an 8Ω speaker is connected to each output, the power amp can deliver up to 75W RMS to each channel – that means 37.5W per speaker. If the internal speakers are turned off in this configuration, each 8Ω external speaker can receive up to 50W RMS of power.6. INTERNAL SPEAKERS ENABLEWhen external speakers, or headphones, are being used, it may be desirable to turn off the internal speakers to decrease noise, or, to increase the power somewhat to the external speakers. When the External Speakers push-button switch is depressed, the internal speakers are enabled. When it is out, the internal speakers are disconnected.7. HEADPHONESThe Headphone 1⁄4” stereo output can be used to monitor the signal post Volume and EQ. It is capable of powering headphones with impedances of 8Ω or greater. The internal speakers can be used simultaneously or turned off using the Internal Speakers Enable switch.8. POWERThis switch turns the AC power on and off as indicated by the front baffle green Power Led.9. POWER CONNECTORThe IEC jack is used to connect the power cord to the AC Power Source.[Caution: Never remove the center grounding pin as this can cause a serious safety hazard and will immediately void your warranty.]129111010. FUSE COMPARTMENTReplace with only the same type fuse. If the fuse blows continuously, have the unit serviced by qualified personnel. The PM-200A powered mixer uses 20mm glass tube Fast Blow fuses: 6A 250V for 115VAC, 3A 250V for 230VAC.11. AC VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCHBefore plugging in the power cord, check to see that the unit is set for the proper voltage for your area: ~115V (60Hz) or ~230V (50Hz).12. HEAT SINKThe heat sink can get very hot during high power operation. Make sure to leave properly ventilated and avoid touching.13. MOUNTING SOCKETOn the bottom panel of the PM-200A is a 5/8” dia. socket for mounting the PM-200A on a mic stand. Depending on your mic stand, you may require the optional MSA-100/200A Mic Stand Adapter for most secure mounting. 1.
