热塑性硫化橡胶(TPVs)在车用天窗放水密封条中用量逐年增高。
在2007年Jyco公司生产100万个车用天窗放水密封条。
理想的性能、价格和较低的变形使TPV相对于其他材料具有更大的优势。
密封材料性能
优异的压缩变形性
能是TPV满足车用天窗
放水密封条的基础。

TPV在玻璃

从图1试验结果可以看出,TPV 在80℃及一定的压力下持续使用,损失掉25%的压缩力。
对比三元乙丙车顶天窗密封胶条性能(图2)相同的条件下,TPV的性能优于三元乙丙。
需要注意的是,TPV和三元乙丙都有交联,但交联方式不同。
压缩变形性能与使用材料的性能及配方和工艺的设计有关。
同时还需要考虑材料的种类、挤出工艺性能参数等,有时候这些性能对于生产厂而言更加重要。

因为车用天窗密封胶条的
使用环境要求必须有一条凹槽(方便玻璃移动的凹槽),所以胶条必须保证在有凹槽的形态下完成密封的功能。
这对于使用环境只有2~3毫米的胶料而言是不太容易的。
这就需要设计商和生产商在研发和生产商加大投入,特别是天窗灯位置对密封胶条的耐受度影响(天窗灯发热,高温会影响性能密封胶条的寿命)。
车用天窗灯和天窗密封胶条的耐受度影响着密封胶条的压缩变形及压缩永久变形性能。
当密封条的使用环境为

接头
密封胶条需经过挤出工
艺制成成品后方能安装到天
窗上。
因为天窗密封条的形状为环形,所以挤出后的密封胶条需要首尾相接,变成环形。
此接头的工艺在模具中进行。
接头强度对最终的性能尤其重要。
与热固性橡胶不同,热塑性TPV的接头强度接近拉伸强度。
TPV的接头强度不仅高于热固性橡胶,同时完全满足整车生产商的要求(图4)。
为了提高接头处的完整性,需
要在接头处和其表面进行打磨使
其尽量的光滑,这样会减少漏水情
况的发生。
噪音
车用天窗使用体验与车主息
息相关,可能会影响到车主购车。
一些车用天窗在开启和关闭的时
候具有类似沙沙的噪音,这些噪音
会影响车主对车的体验最终会影
响车主选车。
根据GM 98429,REV,D
的顾客听觉测试,TPV的噪音等
级为0.6,远远低于3.0的标准
(表1)。
较低的噪音源于光滑的挤出
表面。
只有玻璃与金属喷漆之间的
摩擦系数低于0.2时才能有如此
低的噪音。
由于较低的摩擦系数
使得不粘层可以减少看不见的水流向玻璃,同时可以提升大概10%的吸水能力。
TPV弹性体的其它性能
TPV做为天窗密封胶条的一个材料的选择,已经广泛使用。
TPV做密封条有较少的挥发。
有时车内温度较高,如果密封胶条中的易挥发物质迁移到玻璃表面,这会影响玻璃的美观。
同时会使玻璃表面不符合FMVSS 规定,还会降低用户的体验。
另外,由于密封胶条的使用环境要求,导致密封胶条无法清洗,这点需要注意。
TPV胶条的燃烧速率小于FMVSS规定的50%的上限。
TPV密封条的撕裂强度比热稳定性更重要。
因为密封条的安装环境中有形状尖锐的东西,所以在安装过程中密封条可能出现破损的情况,如果撕裂强度低,则这种可能性将加大。
TPV密封胶条的比重为0.92,相对于三元乙丙密封条比重降低了10%~15%。
降低质量可以使用密度更小的TPV材料或降低密封胶条的厚度和用量等。
同时降低质量可以降低整车的油耗。
近来,一些整车厂商要求各部件要颜色匹配。
通常在产品验证阶段对产品的颜色有要求。
同样整车生产商需要部件供应商提供此种部件的耐久性数据,以便于颜色在长时间的使用后不变色。
颜色匹配是指各部件之间的形状、颜色、色彩、光泽、亮度等和谐统一。
整车的各部件需要整洁一致,例如玻璃和密封条的裸露出来的部分的颜色等。
如果因为密封胶条中使用的炭黑不符合标准,则有可能导致密封胶条的颜色与反光镜、车身及其他部件颜色不一致。
氙弧光暴露试验和碳弧暴露试验结果说明TPV密封条的的△E小于目前使用最多的TPO密封条的试验结果—3.0。
另外,TPV天窗密封胶条能够保证整车的颜色匹配,使天窗的表现更为完美。
如果需要,天窗密封胶条可以着色,还可以按照要求制作成有纹理的外观,同样也可以将车内部分与车外部分制成不同的颜色。
TPV弹性体对环境的影响
因为使用清洁能源可以较大幅度的减少二氧化碳的排放量,所以TPV密封胶条的整个工艺产生很少的二氧化碳及其他易挥发有机化合物。
TPV中用到三元乙丙橡胶,同时还可以使用汽车轮胎上的三元乙丙再生胶,重新制成汽车配件。
TPV密封胶条由于比重较低,所以成品的重量相对三元乙丙密封胶条要低。
同时TPV密封胶条的摩擦系数也低。
所以使用TPV密封胶条的可以节省能源。
对比TPV天窗密封胶条和三元乙丙天窗密封胶条对于环境的影响结果可以
看出,TPV天窗密封胶条对
环境的影响要小。
因为密
封胶条的使用环境要求,
及TPV可以使用再生三元
乙丙橡胶作为原料,所以
TPV制作密封胶条对环境
的影响要明显小于三元乙
丙橡胶(图5,表2)。
结论
TPV弹性体是车用天
窗密封胶条的理想材料。
长时间的耐老化性能和长时间色彩变化试验证明TPV作为车用天窗密封胶条卓越的性能。
由于TPV材料较低的比重和可重复利用性能使用TPV对环境的影响较低。
此外,TPV密封胶条相对于热固性硫化橡胶可以大幅度的减少碳排放量,综上所述,TPV一种可持续发展的新型材料。
