课标分析本课是高中英语必修三第1单元,课题是The Million Pound Bank Note。

英语教学是一种动态教学或者活动教学,教学过程是交际活动的过程。

只有从组织教学活动入手,大量地进行语言实践,使英语课堂交际化,才能有效地培养学生的英语交际能力。

《高中英语课程标准》要求我们要改变以往过分强调英语单词和语法知识的简单传授的倾向,加强对学生实际语言能力的培养。

之前我在本课的教学中将淡化语言点和语法知识的简单传授,采用任务型教学法和小组合作探究学习法,扩大课堂语料输入量和学生的语料输出量,主要锻炼学生的听说与阅读能力。

这节课主要是新授课,主要的教学目标是扎实掌握本单元所学重要单词短语与语法,通过自主学习,合作探究;让学生学会一些做题的方法和技巧,体验学习的快乐。

学情分析1. 今年我所教的这个班共有学生48人,学生整体上英语基础一般,大部分学生能配合老师完成各项教学任务。

本节课主要是提高学生的做题训练能力。

首先,检查学生对单词短语的掌握,了解英语语法项目名词性从句的运用。

然后通过合作探究,考验学生能否把所学知识正确地运用到做题中。

从他们的课堂上看,班中绝大部分同学都能跟上现有的进度,上课发言积极,个别同学表现的还特别出色,但是也有个别同学的理解能力和接受能力不尽人意,学习成绩也不稳定。

本节课课堂气氛还行,学生学习热情较高,大部分学生能按时完成学习任务,但一少部分学生在写总结时出现了困难。

2. 因为是第一次接触英语戏剧,对其中的语言理解可能会是学生遇到的最大问题。

另外对马克·吐温及外国文化了解的局限会导致学生较难自己归纳故事的深层内涵。

所以教师可以在课后向学生推荐几部相关的简写剧本或电影片段,让他们发表自己的体会。

这样可在引起学生的兴趣之余,更多的了解外国文化。

Unit3 The Million Pound Bank Note各位老师,你们好,今天我要向大家介绍的是Unit3 The Million Pound Bank Note. 这个单元是以美国著名作家马克吐温的同名小说改编的以《百万英镑》的故事为话题的一个英语剧本。

由于学生们第一次接触英语剧本,所以有必要让学生了解作者的作品风格以及他的特点。

也要让学生了解戏剧的题材特点,学习并理解戏剧的语言,尝试表演戏剧,提高文学修养和欣赏水平。

我们在备课的时候,首先要确立教学目标。

本单元的教学目标是:语言目标:掌握词汇表中的常用单词和短语。

掌握宾语和表语从句的用法。

技能目标:学会在语言交际中运用委婉的语言表达请求,懂得如何用英语点餐和购物。

情感目标:通过学习《百万英镑》的故事,了解马克吐温的生平和他的作品风格,探讨金钱和人性的关系。

树立正确的价值观和人生观。

本单元,我将分六课时来完成教学任务。

第一课时,侧重视,听,说欣赏作品,了解故事梗概。

第二课时,我让学生边阅读边理解课文中出现的语言点。

第三课时,侧重听,说,读,写的基本技能训练。

第四课时,训练学生听,说,读,写的综合能力。

第五课时,侧重名词性从句的教学。

第六课时,讲评补充练习以及学生的习作,让学生进行表演他们自己写的剧本。

下面我将简单介绍我的教学设计与具体操作。

第一节课时要完成的教学任务有:1,回答Warming Up, Pre-reading 中的简单问题。

2,欣赏Act One Scene 3-Scene4 , Act Two Scene 1-Scene4 影视剧。

第二节课时的教学目标:语言目标:通过视听剧本,初步了解故事台词中出现的生词,词组和句子,并能根据故事情节掌握词义。

情感目标;让学生通过看影视剧,了解戏剧情节的发展,感受戏剧语言,及作者运用诙谐的笔调讽刺了资本主义社会拜金主义的丑恶嘴脸。

那么,这节课由于是个影视剧,所以我就选择了电影的片段让学生在这节课里进行欣赏。

My presentation is made up of 5 parts: the analysis of teaching material, teaching methods, learning methods , teaching procedures and teaching reflectionI. The Analysis of the Teaching Material:1. Status and functionIt is a reading passage, which plays a very important part in the teaching of this unit. This part is taken from The Million Pound Bank Note by Mark Twain. Mark Twain is the greatest humorist of the 19th century American literature as well as a great playwright. Many of his plays are known to people all over the world. And The Million Pound Bank Note is one of the best. The Emphasis of this period will be placed on important mew words, expressions and sentence patterns in the parts Reading and Comprehending.2. Teaching aims:1). Knowledge aims: To let Ss grasp the meaning of the new words and phrases, catch the main idea of the play and master some important phrases and sentences.2). Ability aims: To develop Ss’ basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Of course reading is the centre of this lesson. Step II: PreparationWatch the film from the beginning to Scene 3.My purpose of this step is to arouse the Ss’curiosity and interest to read the play, foster their ability to get information from visual-auditory resources, encourage them to participate in the class activity. In order to know what happened next , they must be eager to read the passage carefully.Step III: While-reading:There are 3 tasks in this step.Task 1: Scanning the passage:My purpose of doing this is to foster Ss’ fast reading ability and the ability to analyze the information that they get. After scanning ,they are supposed to finish the exercise in TaskⅠon the guiding sheet and answer my questions about the time, place and characters in the play. Then check the answers .The students are supposed to think over the mistakes that they made.Task 2: Intensive readingFocus on the whole text carefully, and then finish the exercises on page 53.By finishing the exercises, I can train their abilities to comprehend and appreciate the language in the scene. Before we check the answers, I’ll ask them to have a discussion about them.Task 3: Group workFirst, I’ll ask them to discuss the answers to the exercises, then I’ll ask them to find out the difficult points and sentences by themselves.Then work in groups and exchange their understanding of the difficult points. One group asks other groups to explain them in English. Anyone who understands them can stand up to explain. Teamwork can help lower the difficulty and also gives Ss an opportunity to cooperate with each other. Meanwhile cultivate Ss’ ability of studying autonomously.Then the Ss can discuss the answers together. After that, we’ll check the answers of this part. Step IV: Post-readingTask 1: Have a discussion in groupsI’ll ask the Ss to discuss the following questions:1.Why do you think that the brothers chose Henry for their bet?2.What kind of person do you think Henry is?My purpose is to develop Ss’ reading skills –drawing in context and let hem have a better understanding of the text. It can also scatter the Ss thoughts about what they learnt in the play.Task 2: Retell the text according to some key words.This task is based on the text they learnt. My purpose is to lead the Ss back to understand the passage as a whole. Practise their abilities to obtain information and deal with information. At the same time practis e the Ss’ narrative ability.Step V: SummaryI’ll ask some of them to give a summary about what they learned in this class. My purpose is to scatter the Ss thoughts and cultivate their ability of summing up what they learnt in this period. I hope in this way I can change their knowledge into abilities.StepⅥ: HomeworkThe homework includes acting out the part they learnt in this class and writing the next scene of the play by themselves, in which way they may have the pleasure of being successful in learning English. This activity provides students with opportunities to make full use of their imagination and what they learnt.At the end of the class, I’ll leave the last 2 minutes for the Ss to ask questions if it goes well. It’s another chance for them to study autonomously and think over what they learnt in this period.Ⅴ. About teaching reflection.After class, I’ll think over both my performance and the students’performance. I’ll think over what I can do to improve my teaching skills and how I can improve the grades and learning skills of the students. (1分钟)步骤二:让学生自己阅读p.17的warming up小短文,完成旁边的note。

(3分钟)步骤三:随机抽三位同学检查答案,问清晰答案在第几行哪句找到的,如果是猜测的答案,也请学生说明理由。

然后关上课本,大家再复述一遍,注意老师只提醒词,让学生讲。

(2分钟)步骤四:又播放一次步骤一的电影,询问是否有人知道电影的话本题材,引入英语戏剧。

老师再对戏剧作一个简短介绍。

本单元《百万英镑》讲的是一个手里只有一张百万英镑支票的美国商人在英国敦的故事,那么这个美国商人身上又会发生什么呢?

电视剧《薛平贵与王宝钏》中皇帝为惩罚王宝钏的母亲及姐妹,赐其金碗在城门口乞讨,结果没有乞讨到任何东西反而遭到百姓的唾弃(此处放电视片段给学生看)。
3.要求学生在下次课上能上讲台跟同学分享自己喜欢的外国作家,及其作品,可以讲出其中自己比较感兴趣的片段,若有其他同学与之相同,可以一起进行探讨。




本次课比较成功的一点是成功以中国电视剧《薛平贵与王宝钏》为引入点,成功引起学生对本单元《百万英镑》的兴趣。
在关于马克吐温的资料查询方面由于学生手边没有可借助查询的工具及资料库,所以在 本次课中采用了给学生展示马克·吐温资料及生平的方式,由于马克·吐温的生平部分比较有趣,上课效果较好,学生也通过了其生平故事很好的分析了马克·吐温的人物特征。
