My first part-time job
My first part-time jobThere are so many unforgettable memories which gave me vivid lessons.Among them,it was my first part-time job that impressed me most .We have a summer holiday, which is longer than the others. Most of my classmates were plan to find a part-time job in order to kill the boring time while we got the news. So it was the same with me, of course. I've been itching to take the part-time job when I was in the junior high school, more for getting some value experiences than for money. Because lots of my friends have works experiences and have a more independent life. They are willing to share their interesting work experiences with me. In the work life, they told me how happy they got and how many difficulties they met; they would try to do something on their own. Then,I know part-time practices made them more stronger and go easy on something afterward. I felt somehow ashamed of myself ,I like to be independent, but it is difficult for me. I live under my parents' wings, then hide mine. My parents arrange everything for me,let me depend on them for food、clothing and even anything.I know I can't go on like this. If I couldn't get rid of the protect from them ,I can't be independent and never.Their love will cut my wings. For this reason, and fortunately ,I found a job from a market manager , to send out leaflets. send out leaflets? I am a student and a man! why? Why was I arranged to do that ? However ,on another day, a new idea occured in my mind . I saw some students sending out leaflets lightly . What is more ,it is so normal to do that. then, I got my balance in my heart, expecting the working day happily. The day came with my expectations, but the work was hard more I could imagine. I held 2000 leaflets ,which meaned I had to go to almost 200 families. It is amazing !I had a little complaint ,but I did my best to persuade myself to begin my work, also, with great excitement. So, I ascended and descended stairs as quick as I could ,expecting to finish my task, but the earlier I wanted to end ,the more tired I felt .The leaflets in my hand seemed not to decrease. I felt my legs as heavy as lead.seeing the watch ,it is half past eleven .God,I wanted to sleep ,I wanted to have meals .I felt so tired !But I had to do them all, I had the responsibility to finish my job. I had no choices now .Fatigued, I sent out leaflets to every family in the street, one by one ,little by little,I finished my task. At this moment ,I felt quite pleased in my deep heat while weary in the body. In the following days, I worked as the first day,and even work harder than before. In this summer, I also did some other work sush as the waiter. At last,I finally finished my summer vacation work.In the twinkling of an eye, my first unusual summer holiday was over. I just wanted to say, thank you! My unforgettable part-time job. When I took the first salary of my life, I earned more than 100 yuan. I know it's very difficult to make money. All in all, my firstsummer work life was over, I learned lots of things. That's meaningful. As I look back, scenes of the past leap before my eyes. Once there are chances for me .I will try it heart and soul. Now, I know, so opportunities for people who only come prepared. Only have experienced sth can we have the real meaning of it. from sending out leaflets, I have learned a lot. Also, it would be one of the most precious memories in my following life.。

(20 points)WP Corp. is planning to purchase a new cat food machine that will cost $1.0 million, installation included, and will be used for five years. The machine will be installed in a currently unutilized facility, for which, however, the company has a five-year leasing offer: a local oat meal maker is offering $100,000 a year to lease the building. The cat food machine will be depreciated straight-line to zero over five years and will be sold for $40,000 at the end of the project. The additional working capital requirement for the project is $120,000; it is to be recovered at the end of the project. The first year sales are expected to be $1.0 million; sales will be growing at 5 percent annually. The raw material and other variable costs will account for 20 percent ofsales. The labor costs associated with the project will be fixed at $400,000 a year, and the fixed overhead allocated to the project will amount to $250,000 annually. Sport rate and Forward rate (20 points)The Federal Reserve (the Fed) is responsible for maintaining low inflation in the U.S. To keep inflation low, the Fed attempts to control short-term interest rates. In this problem, we are going to analyze how the Fed affects the term structure of interest rates.(a) Suppose the inflation rate for the coming year is expected to be 3%. Investors expect inflation to rise to 4% in the second year and 5% in the third year. If the expectations hypothesis is true, what is the general shape of the term structure of interest rates? Why?Upward sloping.Under the expectations hypothesis, forward rates equal expected short-term spot rates. Short term spot rates are determined primarily by expectations of inflation. Therefore, if inflation is expected to go up, short-term spot rates are also expected to go up. As a result, forward rates are increasing, and the term structure is upward sloping.(b) Assume that the real rate of interest is 1%. In other words, the one-year spot rate is always expected to be 1% greater than the inflation rate. If the expectations hypothesis is true, what are the one-year forward rates for years 2 and 3? Explain. For this problem, you may use the approximate formula relating the real rate to the nominal rate.Based on the inflation rates above, the expected one-year spot rate is 5% (4% inflation + 1% real rate) in year 2 and 6% (5% + 1%) in year 3. Under the expectations hypothesis, the forward rates equal these expected spot rates.(c)Continuing from part (b), what are the current 2- and 3-year spot rates (r2 and r3)? Spot rate: (1 + r t)t = (1 + r1) * (1 + f2) * (1 + f3) * … * (1 + f t)Using this formula:1 + r1 = 1.04(1 + r2)2 = 1.04 * 1.05 = 1.092, so r2 = 0.045(1 + r3)3 = 1.04 * 1.05 * 1.06 = 1.158, so r3 = 0.050(d) The Fed wants to reduce future inflation (it cannot do anything about inflation in the coming year). To do this, the Fed raises the real rate of interest to 2%. Assume that the Fed is successful, and expected inflation rates for years 2 and 3 both drop to 3%. If the expectations hypothesis is true, what affect does the Fed have on the term structure of interest rates? Be specific: what are the new spot and forward rates? Inflation in all years is now 3%. Since the real rate of interest is 2%, the expected one-year spot rate is 5% (3% inflation + 2% real rate) in all years.Under the expectations hypothesis, the forward rate is equal to the expected one-year spot rate. Therefore, f2 = f3 = 5%.Using these rates, we can see that term structure is now flat: r1 = r2 = r3 = 5%.The Fed’s action increases short-term interest rates (r1 and r2) but leaves longer-term rates unchanged (r3).3. Valuation of Common Stock (20 points)You are trying to value the common stock of e.Coli Services. Other stocks with risks equivalent to e.Coli offer an expected return of 11% annually. The company’s return on equity is 14% annually and you expect that this will continue indefinitely. Currently (year 0) the company pays out 50% of its annual earnings as dividends. The current dividend is $2.00 per share.a Is this a growth stock? Briefly explain why.A growth stock is a stock which has a PVGO>0. This is the case for e.Coli, because ROE>r.b If the company maintains its current payout policy, what is the value per share of e.Coli’s stock? You could either calculate the price cum or ex-dividend. The price ex-dividend is:g r D P -=10whereg=ROE*(1-payout ratio)=7% r=11%14.2$07.12)1(01=⨯=+⨯=g D DSo P=$53.5 ex-dividend.The price cum dividend is P=$55.5, that is, the price ex-dividend plus the initial dividend of $2.c You are now informed that the company will increase its payout ratio to 80%, starting in year 2. What is the current value per share of the company’s stock? The price ex-dividend is:2210111g r D r r D P -+++=where14.2$07.12)1(01=⨯=+⨯=g D D66.3$%80)07.1(4%80)07.1(%8022022=⨯⨯=⨯⨯=⨯=E E D2g =ROE*(1-payout ratio)=14%*0.2=2.8%So P=$42.18 ex-dividend.The price cum-dividend is $44.18.。

Reading comprehension:1. A. Edmund Spenser: The Faerie Queene.B. The Red Cross Knight.C. It is a description of V irgin Una, who stands f or the divine truth and accompanies the Red Cross Knight on his adventures. She is as pure and innocent in lif e and all moral knowledge as the Lamb of God (Jesus Christ ). She descended of a royal line, which in old days governed the landfrom east to west and made the whole world subject to the rule (which suggests she derives her lineage f rom the Church Universal, not from the Papacy), until the dragon ( which represents the powers of Spain and Rome) with wicked tumult devastated all their land and drove them out. So she has summoned the Knight f rom a remote place to avenge her imprisoned parents.2. A. Christopher Marlowe : The Tragic History of Doctor Faustus.B. God.C. This is a description of Dr. Faustus practicing black magic inorder to seek knowledge and power over the kingdom of this world. He has drawn a magic circle on the ground, within which the spirits are compelled to rise by using the name of God with the letters mixed up, the abbreviated names of holy saints, figures o f every heavenly body and signs of the zodiac and wandering stars. Faustus' conjuring techniques illustrate his denial and rejection of religi on, which is a sin of pride and presumption and thus allows the devil to take possession of his soul. On the other hand, by portraying Faustus trying through the exercise of f orbidden knowledge to transcend the bounds of his nature, Marlowe celebrates the Renaissance hero's endless aspiration f or knowledge, power and happiness.3: A. William Shakespeare: Hamlet. ,B. Hamlet .C These lines mean: thus meditation does turn all of us into cowards; and thus over the natural color of resolution (which is believed of red color) , is thrown the pale and sickly color of melancholy thought; and actions of great importance, on this account, deviate f rom their original purpose and no longer can put into action. Here Hamlet is not only talking about actual suicide--he's also talking about "li f elong suicide" by doing nothing, choosing the easy passive approach to lif e.4. A. William Shakespeare: The Merchant of V enice.B. Shylock says that just as there is no rational explanation of why one man hat es a pig, why another cannot tolerat e a harmless cat, and why a third cannot cont ain his urine when listening to a bagpipe, he cannot and will not give a reason f or his action other than the deep-seated hatred and loathing that he bears Antonio. Here, Shylock makes himself ridiculous by comparing the unreasoning hatred he feels f or Antonio with the irrational and inexplicable impulses f ound in all men. The examples he gives of human nature mastered by strange and powerful passions are such as to excite disgust and contempt in his hearers.5. A. John Donne, "The Sun Rising".B. The Sun.C. The speaker says that his lover's eyes are more blinding than the sun's mighty rays. If the sun would look closely he would see that even the wealth of all the earth lies in their bed. And should he not be convinced by what his eyes tell him, could look again to India and the West Indies to see if the spices and gold even exist there any more or whether they indeed "lie here with me". The king-image is a happy one. The lovers are as happy as the queen and the king on one throne. The poet brings "spice", "gold" and "kings" into one bed in order to show that their love is as f ragrant spice, as pure as gold and as happy as kings.C. Q uestions and answers1. In the court scene Shylock has emphasized the justice and legality to his claim to Antonio's f lesh. Now, Portia insists that mercy is a higher good than justice, f or it enables the giver and receiver. She puts f orward a familiar Elizabethan argum ent on justice versus mercy, i.e. if God himself insisted on justice, no one would be f orgiven f or their sins and thus be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. But as God shows mercy to mankind, man can theref ore be redeemed. What is most admirable in a king is not his power but the humanity wit h which he exercises this power. This speech of Portia is undoubtedly the most f amous in the play and justly so, f or in lyrical verse that is beautif ul in itself it clearly states the moral and implies the doctrinal themes of the play: that courtesy teaches the heart to be gen tle, that the gentle heart secures salvation, that the stern justice of the Old Law (the Old Testament) must give way to the mercy of the new (the New Testament).2. Paradise Lost is regarded as Milton's masterpiece and thegreatest epic poem in the English language. The theme of the poem is the tragedy of the "Fall of Man" (f rom whi ch Christ redeems him) against the backdrop of Satan's rebellion against God and expulsion f rom heaven. The poet's announced aim was to "assert eternal Providence (that is, God) and justif y the ways of God to men". Despite its biblical story content and its declared purpose, the epic at places ref lects Milton's revolutionary spirit, chief ly through his sympathetic treatment of the revolt of Satan and his f ollowers against God in the f irst two books. Here we see the dual role as a Puritan and as a republican, f or in accordance with his religious convictions the poet was naturally on the side of God, but with his revolutionary sentiments he could not refrain f rom uttering f iery words of hatred and rebellion against the restored monarch at the time, even in the outcries of Satan and his adherents against God. Y et we must not believe that Milton as a Puritan could actually share Satan's accusationsof God f or holding "the tyranny of heaven", nor should we obliterate the thoroughly religious temper of the epic as a whole, in which the characters of Satan and his f ollowers are condemned.3.(a) Renaissance refers to the period of transition f rom the medieval to the modern world. It was sparked off by a combination of historical factors.(b) Humanism is the essence of the Renaissance. This poem is an almost startling put-down of poor death Staunchly Christian in its pure expectation of the resurrection. Donne's poem personi f ies death as an adversary swollen with f alse pride and unworthy of being called "mighty and dreadf ul. Donne gives various reasons in accusing death of being little m than a slave bossed about by fate, chance, kings and desperate men--a craven thing that keeps bad company, such as poison war and sickness. Death is not something we should f ear, f or is part of a natural cycle. It is the pref ace to our f inal sleep, which offers “f r eedom” (and f inal delivery) f or the soul. Finally, Donne taunts death with a paradox: "death, thou shalt die. " The sonnet is written in the strict Petrarchan pattern. It reveals the poet’s beliefreveals the poet's belief in lif e af ter death: death is but momentary while happiness af t er death is eternal.5. Bacon's contribution to English literature lies chief ly in the Essays, the f irst collection of essays as such in the English language and considered an important landmark in the development of English prose. Bacon wrote these f or the young men of his class and tradition, who were intent upon the completest self-realization in public lif e. The subjects cover a wide range: philosophy, religion, politics and conduct of lif e. Down's practicality is shown in most of his essays. Epigrams frequently employed, yet they are always ordered judiciously appropri ately. In addition, the essays are enriched by Biblical allusions, metaphors and cadence.D. Topic discussion1. (a)Hamlet has none of the single-minded blood lust of the earlier revengers. It is not because he is incapable of action, but because the cast of his mind is so speculative, so questioning, and so contemplative that action, when it f inally comes, almost like def eat, diminishing rather than adding to the stature of the hero.(b)Trapped in a nightmare world of spying, testing and plot and apparently bearing the intolerable burden of the to revenge his f ather's death, Hamlet is obliged to inhabit a shadow world, to live suspended between f act and f iction, language and action. His lif e is one of constant role playing, examining the nature of action only to deny its possibility; f or he is too sophisticated to degrade his nature to the conventional role of a stage revenger.(c) For such a f igure, soliloquy is a natural medium, a necessary release of his anguish; and some of his questioning monologues posses surpassing power and insight, which have survived centuries of being torn f rom their context.2. (a) The term metaphysical poetry is used to describe a school of highly intellectual poetry marked by bold and ingenious conceits, incongruous imagery, complexity of thought, f requent use of paradox, and of ten by deliberate harshness or rigidity of expression. (b) In metaphysical poetry emotions are shaped and expressed by logical reasoning. These logicalelements are typical characteristics of the best metaphysical poetry. But, sometimes the logic argument and conceits become. pervasive, going to preposterous dimensions. (c) The main themes of the metaphysical poets are love, death and religion. According to them, all things in the universe no matter how dissimilar they are to each other, are closely unif ied in God.(d) The diction is simple as compared with that of the Elizabethan or the Neocl assical Period, and echoes the words and cadences of common speech.(e) The imagery is drawn f rom the commonplace or the remote actual lif e or erudite sources, the f igure itsel f: elaborated with self-conscious ingenuity.(f) The f orm is f requently that of an argument with the poet’s beloved with God or with himself.(g) Metaphysical poem is of ten intentionally rough.(h) Metaphysical poetry is marked by a crisp pointed wit that may f ind its f ocus in conceits of a special type, which are used to connect the abstract with the concrete, the remote with the near, and the sublime with the commonplace.(i) Chief representative of this school was John Donne.。

In fact, the training is only a brief note of attention, the allocation of shifts. When we are hesitant to work in the daytime or night, there are a lot of students chose the night shift, because they feel cool at night than during the day, when the work is not so hot. So we decided to take the night shift. When I got home, I told my mother that I was going to work on the night shift, and my mother was in a bad mood. She said it was hard work on the night shift and asked if I could hold on. I was full of confidence and said there was no problem, but I got the first day ofwork, although it was a little cooler than the daytime, but the workshop was quiet and terrible at night. When I thought it was about daybreak, I took a look at the time before I found out it was less than 12 in the middle of the night. Oh, my God, how long is it? What time does it break?! After midnight we can go to the dining hall, but inside the dish we flattered, see what no appetite, we hurriedly picking a few mouthfuls of rice do not want to eat, it can take a few egg go, or we'll be hungry work. Although this work looks very easy, is to give the milk packing, but only a few days my fingers began to blister, and at night to sleep during the day, I was in the day is very difficult to sleep, not the spirit of the work at night. I started eating with my little buddy, and just a week after we decided to quit.Fortunately, that contract at least a week to pay, we just work for a week, or we don’t nothing for this week, when I got the money, the heart is feeling, the money is really not easy, this work was a experience.

1Title: My Friend's First Part-Time JobHey bestie! I heard you're thinking about getting your first part-time job. That's so exciting! Having a job is a really big responsibility, but it can also be super fun and rewarding. I got my first job last year working at the pet store in the mall, so I know a thing or two about being a working kid. Let me give you some tips and advice about getting your first part-time gig.First off, you have to decide what kind of job you want. There are so many options! You could work in a store like I did, or maybe a restaurant or cafe. Those are pretty popular jobs for kids our age. You could also do yard work, babysitting, tutoring, or running errands for people. Think about what kinds of things interest you and what your strengths are. Like, if you're really good at Math, tutoring could be perfect. Or if you love little kids, babysitting is the way to go.Once you know what you want to do, it's job hunting time! You'll probably need to get your parents' permission first. Minemade me show them I was responsible enough by keeping my room clean and doing my chores without being asked. I also had to keep my grades up to prove I could handle a job and school at the same time. Anyway, after you get the okay from your parents, you have to figure out where to apply. If you want to work at a store or restaurant, go to the places you like and ask if they're hiring. It's best to go there in person instead of just applying online. That way you can make a good first impression and show them how friendly and responsible you are right away. My mom always says first impressions are super important. You'll probably need to get an application from them and fill it out. Don't forget to make sure your writing is neat and you spell everything right! For jobs like yard work or babysitting, make some flyers advertising your services and post them around your neighborhood. You can also tell family friends that you're looking for that kind of work. My aunt got me my first babysitting gig watching her friend's kids. Once you get some jobs lined up, you'll want to be prepared.Work on your interview skills if you have to go through interviews. That means practicing how to make eye contact, give a firm handshake, and speak clearly. You should also have anawesome example ready for when they ask "Why should we hire you?" I talked about how responsible and great with animals I was. Oh, and make sure you know what the job actually is and does before your interview. You don't want to get caught not knowing anything! If you get the job, it's time to get ready to be the best employee ever! Remember to always show up for your shifts on time, or even a little early. Calling out sick should only be for when you're really super sick. Don't be late or skip work just because you don't feel like going that day. That's a huge no-no. Dress nicely in a clean uniform or neat clothes too. You want to look ready to work hard.Speaking of hard work, give 100% effort when you're on the clock. Don't goof off or get distracted easily. If you're not sure how to do something, ask the manager or a co-worker instead of trying to figure it out yourself. Paying attention and following instructions is key. You also need to be a team player and help out your colleagues when they need it. Things will run a lot smoother if everyone works together.Be polite and friendly to customers or clients too. Go out of your way to give excellent service with a big smile. This is extra important if you're babysitting, tutoring or doing yardworkdirectly for someone. They're trusting you in their home or with their kids, so you have to be on your best behavior. Don't be rude or goof around. Act way more mature than you normally would. It's also really important to stay safe on the job. If you're going to someone's house for babysitting or yard work, make sure your parents know exactly where you'll be and when. Only accept jobs from people your family knows and trusts. At a store or restaurant, be careful when cleaning or lifting heavy stuff. Use ladders and cleaning chemicals properly by following all the safety rules. If anyone ever makes you uncomfortable, tell your boss immediately.Having a part-time job is a huge responsibility, but it's awesome experience for being an adult one day. You'll learn skills like time management, customer service, and teamwork. Plus, earning your own money is so satisfying! You'll be able to buy things you want without having to ask your parents. Just don't spend it all right away - open a bank account and start saving. That money can go towards college one day!Speaking of savings, be smart about the schedule you take on. Don't overwork yourself by putting in too many hours, especially on school nights. I made that mistake when I firststarted and my grades totally slipped. Leave time for homework, extracurriculars, fun with friends and family, and of course, relaxation. Work-life balance is everything! If you burn yourself out, you'll be a cranky and unproductive employee.Anyway, those are my main tips for your first job! It will probably feel a little overwhelming at first, but you'll get the hang of it fast. Just stay focused, work hard, and don't stress too much. Having a part-time hustle while being a kid is actually pretty cool. I'm so proud of you for wanting this responsibility! You're going to be an awesome working kid. Let me know when you get hired so we can celebrate!Your BFF,[Your name]篇2My Best Friend's New Part-Time JobMy best friend, Timmy, just got a part-time job at the local grocery store! He's so excited because it's his first job ever, and he'll be earning his own money. I'm really happy for him, but I also want to make sure he does a good job and stays safe. That'swhy I'm writing this essay with some friendly advice for Timmy as he starts his new adventure.First of all, Timmy needs to remember to always be on time for his shifts. Being punctual is really important in the working world. If he's late, his boss might get mad, and he could even lose his job! I know Timmy likes to sleep in on the weekends, but he'll have to set his alarm and make sure he gets to work on time. Maybe his mom can help wake him up if he struggles with that.Another crucial thing is to listen carefully to his boss and follow all the rules and instructions. The grocery store probably has specific ways they want things done, like how to bag groceries or stock the shelves. Timmy should pay close attention during his training and ask questions if he's unsure about anything. It's better to ask and get it right than to make mistakes because he didn't understand.Speaking of making mistakes, Timmy shouldn't get too discouraged if he messes up sometimes. We all make mistakes, especially when we're new at something. The important thing is to learn from them and try not to repeat the same mistakes over and over. If Timmy drops something or rings up the wrong price, he should just apologize, fix it, and move on. Getting flustered or upset won't help.Timmy will also need to be very careful when he's working. Grocery stores can be dangerous places with heavy boxes, sharp objects, and slippery floors. He should always wear proper shoes with good traction and be cautious when lifting or carrying things. If something looks unsafe, he shouldn't try to do it himself – he should ask for help from a coworker or his boss.Another important part of any job is being friendly and polite to the customers. Even if a customer is rude or difficult, Timmy should try his best to stay calm and be helpful. A simple smile and a cheerful "Have a nice day!" can go a long way. The customers are the reason the grocery store is in business, so it's important to treat them well.I know working can be stressful sometimes, but Timmy should also try to have fun and make the most of his new job! He'll get to meet new people, learn valuable skills, and earn his own money. That's really cool! I'm sure he'll make plenty of new friends at work, too. Maybe he can put some of his earnings towards a new video game or saving for a bike.Overall, I just want Timmy to be safe, responsible, and hard-working at his new part-time job. If he follows the rules, stays focused, and has a positive attitude, I'm confident he'll dogreat. I'll always be here to support him and lend an ear if he needs advice or just wants to talk about his experiences.Way to go, Timmy! I'm so proud of you for taking this exciting step. I can't wait to hear all about your adventures working at the grocery store. Just remember – be on time, listen carefully, stay safe, and be kind to the customers. You've got this! I'll be rooting for you every step of the way.篇3My Friend's Part-Time JobHi there! My name is Jessica, and I'm a 10-year-old girl in the 5th grade. I want to tell you about my best friend, Samantha, and her new part-time job. It all started a few months ago when Samantha told me she wanted to earn some extra money to buy herself a new bike. You see, Samantha's family doesn't have a lot of money, and her parents work really hard to make ends meet. Her mom is a nurse, and her dad works at a factory. They try their best to give Samantha and her little brother everything they need, but sometimes it's tough.Samantha is a really nice and responsible girl, even though she's only 11 years old. She gets good grades at school and always helps out around the house with chores. So, when she told her parents she wanted to get a part-time job to earn money for a new bike, they thought it was a great idea.At first, Samantha didn't know what kind of job she could do. After all, we're just kids, and there aren't many places that hire people our age. But then, our neighbor Mrs. Thompson, who's a really sweet old lady, mentioned that she needed someone to help her out with some light tasks around the house.Mrs. Thompson is getting on in years, and it's hard for her to do things like sweep the floors, water the plants, or take out the trash. She said she'd be happy to pay Samantha a little bit of money each week if she could come over and lend a hand.Samantha was thrilled! She went straight to her parents and asked if she could take the job, and they said yes, as long as she promised to keep up with her schoolwork and chores at home. Of course, Samantha agreed right away. So, for the past few months, Samantha has been going to Mrs. Thompson's house twice a week after school. She spends about an hour and a half each time, doing things like vacuuming, dusting, and running little errands for Mrs. Thompson. And you know what? Samantha is really good at it!I've been over to Mrs. Thompson's house a couple of times when Samantha was working, and I'm always impressed by how hard she works and how cheerful she is. Mrs. Thompson absolutely loves having her around, and she says Samantha is the best helper she's ever had.But it's not just about the work, you know? Samantha and Mrs. Thompson have become really good friends, too. They chat and laugh together while Samantha is working, and sometimes Mrs. Thompson will tell her stories about when she was a little girl. It's really sweet to see.I'm so proud of my friend for working so hard and being so responsible. And I think it's really cool that she's not just earning money, but also helping out a nice lady like Mrs. Thompson and learning valuable life skills along the way.If you ask me, more kids our age should consider getting part-time jobs like Samantha's. Of course, school has to come first, and you shouldn't take on too much work. But a little job here and there can teach you so many important things, like time management, responsibility, and the value of hard work.Plus, it feels really good to earn your own money, doesn't it? Even though Samantha's job is pretty simple, she feels like a total grown-up when Mrs. Thompson pays her each week. And let me tell you, there's nothing quite like the sense of pride and accomplishment you get from saving up for something you really want.I know some people might think that kids our age shouldn't have to work, and that we should just focus on being kids and having fun. And I get that – believe me, I love playing and goofing around as much as the next kid! But I also think it's important to learn about the real world and what it takes to earn money and be independent.Samantha's job has taught her so many great lessons, and I can already see how it's helping her become a more mature and responsible person. Plus, she's setting a wonderful example for her little brother, showing him that hard work and determination pay off in the end.But you know what? Samantha never complains, not even once. She just buckles down and gets the job done, because she knows it's all going to be worth it when she finally has enough money for that beautiful new bike she's been dreaming about.I really admire my friend's work ethic and her positive attitude. It's inspiring to see someone so young taking on such big responsibilities and handling them with grace and maturity. So, if you're a kid like me and you're thinking about getting a part-time job, I say go for it! Just make sure you talk to your parents first and get their permission. And remember, school and your regular chores at home have to come first – you don't want to overload yourself and end up falling behind or getting too stressed out.But if you can find a nice, simple job like Samantha's, where you're helping someone out and earning a little money on the side, it can be a really rewarding and valuable experience. Who knows, you might even make a new friend in the process, just like Samantha did with Mrs. Thompson!Anyway, that's the story of my best friend's part-time job. I'm so proud of her, and I can't wait until she finally has enough money saved up for that beautiful new bike she's been working so hard for. I just know she's going to feel like a million bucks when she rides it around the neighborhood for the first time!篇4Of course! Here's an essay about giving advice to a friend regarding a part-time job, written in the voice of an elementary school student, approximately 2000 words long.Title: A Friend in Need Is a Friend IndeedHi there! My name is Jamie, and I'm a 10-year-old kid who loves playing soccer, reading comic books, and hanging out with my best friend, Alex. We've been besties since we were in diapers, and we tell each other everything!Lately, Alex has been thinking about getting a part-time job. His篇5My Best Friend's New Part-Time JobMy best friend Johnny just got his first part-time job! He's going to be working at the grocery store down the street from our school stocking shelves and helping carry people's bags to their cars. I'm really excited for him, but also a little worried because having a job is a huge responsibility, especially when you're just a kid.Johnny and I are only 10 years old, and we're in 5th grade. Most of the kids in our class don't have jobs yet. I think Johnny isreally mature for his age though, so I'm sure he can handle working a few hours a week. Still, I want to make sure he's prepared, so I've made a list of advice that I'm going to share with him:Always be on time! This is probably the most important rule for any job. If Johnny's shift starts at 4pm on Saturdays, he needs to be there by 3:55pm ready to start working, not walking in the door at 4. Being late looks really bad and is disrespectful to his boss and coworkers. I'm going to get him a new watch for his birthday so he has no excuse to be tar篇6My Best Friend Wants a Part-Time JobMy very best friend Taylor told me some exciting news the other day on the playground. She said she wants to get apart-time job! I was really surprised because we are only in 5th grade. Kids our age don't usually have jobs yet. But Taylor comes from a big family with six kids, and she said she wants to earn her own spending money to buy video games, clothes, and things she likes instead of always asking her parents. I think that is a really good idea and very grown-up of her. When Taylor told me she wants a job, I got really excited for her. Having a job must make you feel so independent and responsible. Plus, you get your own money that you earned all by yourself! I can't wait until I'm old enough to get a job too. For now though, I want to make sure I give Taylor really good advice about getting her first part-time job since she's my bestie. The first thing I told Taylor is that she needs to make sure she is actually allowed to get a job at our age. I've never heard of 10-year-olds having real jobs before. My parents always say we have to wait until we're at least 16 to get an official job. So Taylor should double check the laws about employment age and make sure it's legal for her to work right now. It would be no fun to get excited about a job and then find out she can't have one yet!Assuming she is allowed, I next advised Taylor to make a list of all the skills and talents she has that could help her get hired. Taylor is really good at baking cupcakes and cookies. I tell her all the time that she should be on Kid Baking Championship on TV because her treats are delicious! So maybe Taylor could get a job at a bakery near our house decorating cakes and cupcakes. Or she could offer baked goods for sale in our neighborhood.Taylor also gives great pep talks and words of encouragement. I bet she would make an awesome coach foryounger kids' sports teams. She could get a job coaching tee-ball or kindergarten soccer and really inspire those little kids to play their best.Another idea I had for Taylor is that she could be a mother's helper. She is really responsible, nurturing, and good with little kids. I could picture her getting hired by families in our neighborhood to play with and watch younger kids for a few hours after school while parents are still at work. As long as she doesn't have too much homework, that could be the perfect job for her caring personality.Speaking of fun, I told Taylor that one of the most important things about a part-time job is to try to find something you genuinely enjoy doing. If she takes a job she dreads, like cleaning or dishes, she may quickly get sick of working and want to quit. But if she finds an engaging job related to her interests and strengths, it will be a lot more rewarding. The extra money will just be a bonus on top of having a good time.Along those lines, I reminded Taylor that school has to come first before any part-time job. She needs to be sure she can balance working a few hours a week while keeping her grades up and staying focused in class. If her job starts distracting her fromschoolwork, that's a sign she may need to cut back on her hours or quit altogether. Our education is the priority at this age.I also warned Taylor to be really careful about scheduling and not overcommitting herself between school, extracurriculars, family time, her job, and leaving room for fun and relaxation. It's important for kids to have good time management. If she gets a job, she should make a calendar blocking out chunks for everything so she doesn't get overwhelmed. I don't want her to burn herself out!My next piece of advice for Taylor as she explores part-time jobs was about professionalism. Even though she is young, she needs to practice good workplace habits like being on time, following directions, working hard, being respectful to colleagues and customers, and dressing appropriately. Her first job is a chance to build great professional skills that will help her later when she wants bigger career opportunities as a teenager and adult. Finally, I told Taylor that if she does get a part-time job, she needs to be smart about budgeting and saving her earnings. It will be tempting to spend all her money right away on fun stuff, but she should try putting at least some of it away in a savings account. That money can really add up over time! Maybe she canlet herself spend half and save half, or do a proportion like 30% spending, 70% saving. If she gets into good money management habits early, it will pay off so much later.Overall, I am super excited and proud of my best friend Taylor for wanting her first job at such a young age. I know if she finds the right fit, gets her parents' permission, and commits to being very disciplined and focused, she will totally slay her first work experience! She is such a hard worker and always puts her mind to things. I have no doubt she can balance a part-time job with school, friends, and her other activities.I just hope that if Taylor does get an amazing job opportunity, she doesn't forget about me and still has time to hang out! We've been inseparable since we were four years old. I don't want a silly job coming between us! But I'm sure Taylor is way too loyal for that. I'm looking forward to being her biggest cheerleader and supporter as she takes this first step into the working world. If anyone can conquer a part-time job at age 10, it's my best friend Taylor! I'll be right there by her side, cheering her on the whole way.。

It was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but I managed to stay calm and do my best. The test started with listening comprehension. We had to listen to a variety of conversations and answer questions about them. Some of the conversations were about everyday activities like going to the zoo or playing soccer. Others were about more serious topics like the environment and helping others. I tried my best to focus and understand what was being said, and I think I did pretty well on this section.Next up was the reading comprehension part. We had to read a few short passages and answer questions about them. Some of the passages were about animals and their habitats, while others were about famous people from history. It was a bit tricky, but I think I did a good job overall. After that, we had to write a short essay about our favorite season. I chose summer because I love going to the beach and swimming in the ocean. I tried to use as many descriptive words as possible to make my essay interesting. Finally, we had to do a grammar and vocabulary test. This part was a bit challenging because there were so many rules and words to remember. I tried my best to remember everything we had learned in class and apply it to the questions. I tried my best on every section and stayed calm under pressure. I'm proud of myself for completing the test and I can't wait to see how I did when the results come out. Thank you for listening to my story!篇10Ah, English exam is coming! Today I'm gonna write a fancier essay about our first experience in the 2017 English exam in Tianjin. So, let's get started! In the beginning, the English exam was really exciting but also a little bit nerve-wracking. We had been studying so hard during the whole year, and this exam was like a big challenge for us. But we were all ready to show our best! When the exam started, we were given some reading comprehension questions. They were not too difficult, but we still had to read carefully and think about the answers. Some of the questions were about a passage talking about pets, and some were about a story of a little boy who achieved his dream. I liked the story so much that I even wished it was real! After that, we moved on to the writing part. We had to write a short passage about our favorite holiday. I chose Christmas because I love the decorations, the gifts and the joy of being together with my family. I wrote about how we decorated the Christmas tree, exchanged gifts and had a big dinner. I hoped that the examiner would like my essay too.The last part of the exam was the listening test. It was a bit challenging for us because we had to listen carefully and pick the correct answers from the options given. We heard a conversation between two friends planning a trip to the beach, a radio interview about a famous scientist and a weather forecast for the coming week. It was a good practice for our listening skills, and I felt proud that I could understand most of it.Finally, the exam was over, and we all felt relieved. We had done our best, and now it was time to wait for the results. I couldn't wait to see how I did in the exam, but one thing was for sure - I had learned a lot from this experience and I was proud of myself for facing this challenge. In the end, I want to say that the 2017 English exam in Tianjin was a great experience for us. It was a chance for us to show our skills and prove that we had worked hard during the year.
