Then I introduced some facts about pandas as well as the new words by showing students pictures and a short video. Students were active during this part and they wanted to know more about pandas. So we came to the reading naturally. While reading, I also introduced students two reading strategies—scanning and mind map by asking them to do some tasks. During this part, most of the students did very well and they finished those tasks quickly and correctly. After reading, I asked students to finish the paragraph related to whales protection by setting up a situation. Since time limited, I only invited one group to show their work in front of the class. So I will try my best to invite more students to share their pieces next time.。

本环节我对生日，人物身高和体重的提问进行了简单的复习。
形容词和副词的比较级，最高级这一知识点对于学生来讲已经不陌生，我引导学生对宋仲基和鹿晗的基本状况进行比较，很好的复习了形容词和副词的比较级和最高级，我利用这一环节对本节的新授课进行了很好的铺垫四.讲授新知聊完明星很自然的我把话题的中心转移到了班级学生的身高，自然的完成了复习与讲授新知的衔接。
我们一起找出班级最高和最矮的男生，测量出他们的身高，得出具体的数字，比较他们的身高，由此引出重点句型sb is …cm taller than sb,强调比较级的句型加入具体的数字要放在形容词比较级的前面，之后大屏幕出示一些比较级的词组，这是本课的重点内容，教师对其进行讲解。
五.巩固新知1.两个谜语引出本课的两个主角，大象和熊猫，由教师介绍大象和熊猫的基本情况，教师领读，学生跟读，之后我要求学生对大象和熊猫的基本情况进行比较，并用方框中给出的短语（其实就是刚才教授的短语）来造句。
