(1)、一般过去时的适用范围:表示过去某个时间或某一段时间内发生的动作或存在的状态,例如:He got up at 6:30 yesterday. I visited my grandparents last week。

另外一般过去时也可以表示过去经常或反复发生的动作,常和often, always等表示频度的时间状语连用,例如:He always went to work by bus last year.(2)、一般现在时的标志词:yesterday(昨天)、last night(昨天晚上)、in 1990、two days ago(两天前)等等。

(3)、一般过去时的构成:a.主语+ was \ were,例如:I was at home last Saturday.b. 主语+ 动词过去式,例如:I went to the beach last weekend.(4)、动词过去式的构成:规则动词:a.一般情况加ed, 例如play-played; b.以e结尾的动词加d,例如:live-lived , hope- hoped , use-used; c.以辅音字母加y结尾的词,变y为i,再加ed,例如:study-studied , carry-carried ,worry-worried. d.特殊的:stop-stopped; plan-planed不规则动词:参见七下英语书最后一页。
