Why should we eat apples but not oranges
Good ***, ladies and gentlemen, it’s my great pleasure to stand here. Today I’m going to share my experience about the fruit with all of you. At the beginning let’s take a moment and think of a question: if there is an apple and an orange in front of you, which one would you choose? In this case, I will have the apple without any hesitation. And according to a research made by myself, 99% people prefer to apples at lunch time while only 1% would like to have oranges.
But why? The reasons are various. Firstly the apple is rich in nutrition. And there is a famous saying, an apple a day, keeps the doctor away. As far as I know, the apple contains a lot of vitamin A, C and E, as well as carbohydrates and trace elements. And the most important is the zinc. The scientific research shows that the zinc is essential in the process of the growth of the young. The lace of zinc would make teenagers dumber, so remember to keep an apple a day if you don’t want to become dumber. But how about the orange? The orange contains a large number of acid which would affect your digestion if you eat too much at one time. In addition, it is easy to make you suffer from internal heat and even cause Oral ulcer or other serious disease.
Secondly, most of the apples is sweet and sour and delicious and you can see whether it tastes good just at one glance. Everyone can’t help but to bite when see a big red apple. On the opposite, imaging you are peeling an orange, thinking how sweet it would be, but when you can’t wait to put the biggest piece into your mouth, the sour spreading throughout your mouth instantly is so powerful that you can’t resist spitting it out, and how upset would you be. Thirdly, all part of the apple can be eaten except the apple core. As for the orange, besides the core, it’s peel can’t be eaten directly and most people choose to throw it away. In my opinion, that’s a huge waste. As we all know nowadays millions of people die of famine in Africa but do you know that millions of tons of oranges are produced every year, and that’s to say, millions of tons of oranges peel is wastes every year. How huge losses they are!
Last but not the least, apple appeared in on many important occasions in the history of human being. It is said that the forbidden fruit eaten by Adam and Eve is an apple. Because of an apple falling on the head, the great physicist Isaac Newton discovered the law of gravity. The apple in the hand of Jobs gives us the chance to experience the new world. They are the three apples in our history. Besides, we have many other apples, the golden apple of Venus, the golden apple in the Trojan War, the story of Hercules and the golden apple, etc. It is no exaggeration to say that the apple pushes our history forward! But considering the orange, we can hardly find any big event associated with orange. So in this way, apple is much more important than orange. Thank you for your attention.
