二、设问方式一般来说,推理判断题题干中常出现know about,learn from,infer,imply,suggest,conclude,intend,mean,indicate等词语。

1.细节推断题常见的命题形式·It can be inferred from the passage that ________.·It can be concluded from the passage that ________.·The author strongly suggests that ________.·The writer implies but not directly states that ________.·The writer/author indicates/suggests/implies that ________.·Which of the following statements does the passage support?2.态度倾向推断常见的命题形式·The attitude of the author towards something is ________.·The writer of the passage seems to think that ________.·What’s the writer’s attitude towards...?·What is the author’s opinion on...?·What does the author think about...?3.写作意图推断题常见的命题形式·What is the main purpose of the author writing the text?·The purpose of the text is to get more people to ________.·The writer of the story wants to tell us that ________.·The writer talks about...in order to ________.·The author writes the last paragraph in order to ________.4.文章来源或读者对象推断题常见的命题形式·This passage would most likely be found in ________.·In which of the following publications would this passage most likely be printed?·The passage is probably taken out of ________.·Where does this text probably come from?·Where is the passage most likely to have been taken from?5.对文章内容预测常见的命题形式·What do you think will happen when/if...?·At the end of this passage, the writer might continue to write ________.·The paragraph following the passage will probably be about ________.·Which of the following statements is most likely to be talked about in the following paragraph?

以when,where,what,which,who,how much/many等疑问词开头引出的问题。

3.以“According to...”

The biggest challenge for most mothers is from ________.

如把lose one’s job换成了be out of work。

Some end up losing all within two years, family relationships destroyed or even worse.Wayne Schenk was an old soldier diagnosed with lung cancer. When he won a million dollars in a lottery he thought his troubles were over and he would get the advanced medical treatment that might save his life. 六、推理判断——写作意图题(2018·镇江一模)Most of us are already aware of the direct effect we have on our friends and family. But we rarely consider that everything we think, feel,do,or say can spread far beyond the people we know.Conversely(相反地),our friends and family serve as conduits(渠道) for us to be influenced by hundreds or even thousands of other people. In a kind of social chain reaction,we can be deeply affected by events we do not witness that happen to people we do not know.As part of a social network,we go beyond ourselves, for good or ill,and become a part of something much larger. Our connectedness carries with it fundamental implications(影响) for the way we understand the human condition.Social networks have value precisely because they can help us to achieve what we could not achieve on our own.Yet,social-network effects are not always positive.Depression, obesity, financial panic, and violence also spread.Social networks,it turns out, tend to magnify(放大) whatever they are seeded with.Partly for this reason, social networks are creative. And what these networks create does not belong to any one individual—it is shared by all those in the network. In this way,a social network is like a commonly owned forest:we all stand to benefit from it,but we also must work together to ensure it remains healthy and productive. While social networks are fundamentally and distinctively human, and can be seen everywhere, they should not be taken for granted. If you are happier or richer or healthier than others,it may have a lot to do with where you happen to be in the network, even if you cannot recognize your own location. And it may have a lot to do with the overall structure of the network, even if you cannot control that structure at all.And in some cases, the process feeds back to the network itself.A person with many friends may become rich and then attract even more friends. This rich-get-richer dynamic means social networks candramatically reinforce two different kinds of inequality in our society:situational inequality and positional inequality.Lawmakers have not yet considered the consequences of positional inequality.Still, understanding the way we are connected is an essential step in creating a more just society and in carrying out public policies affecting everything from public health to the economy. We might be better off vaccinating(接种疫苗) centrally located individuals rather than weak individuals. We might be better off helping interconnected groups of people to avoid criminal behaviour rather than preventing or punishing crimes one at a time.If we want to understand how society works,we need to fill in the missing links between individuals. We need to understand how interconnections and interactions between people give rise to wholly new aspects of human experience that are not present in the individuals themselves. If we do not understand social networks,we cannot hope to fully understand either ourselves or the world we inhabit.

It was already midnight and I was walking quickly out of Recovery Room, knowing I had to be back early next morning.Though in a hurry,I noticed a lone woman with an anxious look on her face.As it turned out,her daughter-in-law had just been transferred to Intensive Care,so I decided to take her up there.Down the hall, she stated,“I bet you’re trying to leave, aren’t you?〞I confirmed her observation, adding that it was quite all right. We soon arrived, and upon talking with the patient’s nurse,I was able to let her in right away. She turned to me and said,“Thank you,you will be blessed.〞The next day,on my way home after my day shift,I noticed a voice mail from my sister in Rochester, which gave me an uneasy feeling.I had to pull off the road as I listened to her message:“Mom had a stroke;she’s in the hospital and the Neurologist said it doesn’t look good.〞My mind darted back to the words I had heard the night before as I cried out with anger:“This is a blessing?〞The following day I flew up to Rochester. My brother picked me up from the airport and we soon arrived at the hospital.I walked into my mom’s room and she looked as if I had never seen her before. Her usual bright smile was replaced with a look of emptiness. All at once the cruel reality of the signs and symptoms of a fresh stroke were there, but I wasn’t the instructor,I was just a family member. My mom seemed to recognize me,and I fought back tears as I told her how much I loved her.Over the next five days,my mom made unexpected progress,as she began to speak a few words, slowly and almost painfully. With each milestone,e,without exception, treated my mom with kindness and compassion.I think the event that will stay in my memory forever occurred on my mom’s fourth day.It was time to repeat the swallowing study to assess if my mom could starteating. All four of us siblings hung together in the waiting room, nervous, our eyes shifting constantly to the door of 2607,anticipating and desperately hoping for good news.As her door opened, the therapist came out with a smile;we instantly knew she had good news, and we collectively breathed a sigh of relief.Five days after her stroke,my mom was ready for transfer to a rehabilitation facility, and I was headed back down South. With a very heavy heart,I said goodbye to my mom and the staff from the Stroke Unit.On the way back home,I had plenty of time to think about my own experiences as a Recovery Room nurse.I could envision the smiles on so many of the faces of our patients as they leave our unit.I was also reminded of the fact that we as health care givers have a certain power:we can add to the stress of a patient’s hospital experience,or we can be the one ray of sunshine that leaves a smile on their face.Truly, there will always be the pain of knowing that my mom had a stroke,s,I was blessed;it was the kind of blessing that will warm my heart forever.1.What actually made the author uneasy?A.That she had to listen to a voice mail from her sister.B.That she didn’t believe the blessing she had heard.C.That she sensed something wrong with her mom.D.That she must fly up to Rochester the next day.答案C分析推理判断题。

第二节推理判断题一、细节推断题(2019·江苏,C)Who cares if people think wrongly that the Internet has had more important influences than the washing machine? Why does it matter that people are more impressed by the most recent changes? It would not matter if these misjudgments were just a matter of people’s opinions. However, they have real impacts,as they result in misguided use of scarce resources. The fascination with the ICT(Information and Communication Technology) revolution, represented by the Internet, has made some rich countries wrongly conclude that making things is so “yesterday” that they should try to live on ideas. This belief in “post-industrial society” has led those countries to neglect their manufacturing sector(制造业),with negative consequences for their economies.Even more worryingly, the fascination with the Internet by people in rich countries has moved the international community to worry about the “digital divide” between the rich countries and the poor countries. This has led companies and individuals to donate money to developing countries to buy computer equipment and Internet facilities. The question, however,is whether this is what the developing countries need the most.Perhaps giving money for those less fashionable things such as digging wells, extending electricity networks and making more affordable washing machines would have improved people’s lives more than giving every child a laptop computer or setting upInternet centres in rural villages.I am not saying that those things are necessarily more important, but many donators have rushed into fancy programmes without carefully assessing the relative long-term costs and benefits of alternative uses of their money. In yet another example,a fascination with the new has led people to believe that the recent changes in the technologies of communications and transportation are so revolutionary that now we live in a “borderless world”.As a result,in the last twenty years or so,many people have come to believe that whatever change is happening today is the result of great technological progress, going against which will be like trying to turn the clock back.Believing in such a world, many governments have put an end to some of the very necessary regulations on cross-border flows of capital, labour and goods, with poor results.Understanding technological trends is very important for correctly designing economic policies, both at the national and the international levels, and for making the right career choices at the individual level. However, our fascination with the latest, and our under-valuation of what has already become common, can, and has,led us in all sorts of wrong directions.61.Misjudgments on the influences of new technology can lead to .A.a lack of confidence in technologyB a slow progress in technologyC.a conflict or public opinionsD.a waste of limited resources答案D解析细节理解题。

AWinning the lottery (彩票) is not the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for many past winners. Sad stories do exist in large numbers for the past lottery winners and that's why some financial experts say "70 percent of lottery winners will squander away (乱花) winning within a few years." Some end up losing all within two years, family relationships destroyed or even worse.Wayne Schenk was an old soldier diagnosed with lung cancer. When he won a million dollars in a lottery he thought his troubles were over and he would get the advanced medical treatment that might save his life. Many suffer bankruptcy (破产) after the big jackpot (头奖) is spent and given away, including some of the eight people who won the 365 million Powerball in 2006.The examples given paint a sad picture of what can happen if you win a big lottery jackpot, but fortunately, these examples don't tell the stories of all jackpot winners.56. Scientists have shown that eggs produce proteins with a function similar to that of powerful blood pressure-lowering drugs. The research, from the University of Alberta in Canada, showed that when eggs come in contact with stomach enzymes (酶) they produce a protein that acts in the same way as Ace inhibitors, but more work is needed to show the effects outside a lad and in the human body.Earlier this month, British researchers declared that, contrary to popular beliefs, it is healthy to go to work on an egg. They concluded that the type of cholesterol (胆固醇) found in eggs has little effect on increasing heart disease risks.Research Professor Bruce Griffin, form the University of Surrey, said: “The wrong beliefs linking egg eating to high blood cholesterol and heart disease must be corrected. The amount of fat in our diet has an effect on blood cholesterol that is several times greater than the relativelysmall amounts of cholesterol found in eggs. The UK public do not need to be limiting the number of eggs they eat. They can be encouraged to include them in a healthy diet as they are one of nature’s most nutritious foods.”The British Heart Foundation dropped its three-egg-a-week limit in 2005. however, half of Britons believe the limit still applies.63. From the text we know that Ace inhibitors are ________.A. a kind of medicineB. a kind of proteinC. a kind of illnessD. a kind of food64. According to what Professor Bruce said, eggs ________.A. are the most nutritious foodB. have no effect on blood cholesterolC. can be included in a healthy dietD. are forbidden to be eaten in the UK65. We can infer from the text that ________.A. drugs to lower blood pressure will be replaced by eating eggsB. stomach enzymes mixed with eggs can cure heart diseasesC. most Britons agree the three-egg-a-week limit should be droppedD. about 50 percent of Britons think eating an egg a day is bad for their health66.The text is meant ________.A. to introduce scientific findings about eggsB. to introduce a medicine made from eggsC. to tell people how to lower their blood pressureD. to advise people to eat as many eggs as possible63-66 ACDA*****************************************************黑龙江省大庆实验中学2018届高三月考--D Visitors to museums have to pay “voluntary” admission fees, Boris Johnson, the mayor (市长) of London, urged yesterday. He said that encouraging visitors to set a value on museums and art galleries, which have been free since 2001, would work extremely well. Mr. Johnson held up New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art as a model. Although New York’s museums are officially free, visitors are strongly encouraged to pay a recommended entry fee of $20. At the Met, entry is impossible without first going to the ticket desk.Mr. Johnson’s spokesman later admitted that free admission was a “huge draw” for London, but he said, “Having visited the Met last week, the mayor is impressed by how they maximize vo luntary contributions and believes there are lessons to be learnt.” Mark Jones, director of theVictoria and Albert Museum, told The Times that the museum already requested a £3 donation but was not as forceful as New York’s institutions. He said, “I’m not in favor of anything that makes people feel they won’t want to go because they feel like they will have to pay.”When entrance fees to national museums were decided not to be charged here in 2001, there was a 70 percent increase in visitor numbers in the first year. Political parties have since been unwilling to suggest change, despite concerns about cost. Hugo Swire, the former Shadow Culture Secretary, was dismissed in 2007 for suggesting that “museums and galleries should have the right to charge if th ey wish”.Some in the art community argue, however, that free entrance has done little to increase the breadth (广泛) of visitors and has caused shortfalls in the budget for the museums. In response to it, Colin Tweedy, chief executive of Arts & Business, said that Britain was “leading the world” in allowing its treasures to be freely available. He said, “To return to museum charging would be a return to the dark ages.”Ben Bradshaw, the Culture Secretary, said, “The mayor revealed his true intention when he suggested those who could afford it should be encouraged to contribute to the arts. I believe it is a disaster for the culture, arts and sport.” He thinks that free museums and galleries have once been one of this Government’s great successes.67. It can be inferred from the first two paragraphs that ______.A. museums in London are free by nowB. most museums in London have admission feesC. Metropolitan Museum of Art is not officially freeD. free entry is impossible to New York’s museums68. We can learn from Mark Jones’ words that ______.A. his museum shows a lack of moneyB. admission fees should be forcefulC. he is in favor of New York’s actionD. he has a consideration for the visitors69. According to the passage, the cancellation of entrance fees to national museums in 2001 _____.A. was changed in 2007 by Hugo SwireB. has been opposed by political partiesC. has no influence on the number of visitorsD. has caused financial problems to the museums70.What does the underlined word “it” in the last paragraph refer to?A. Charging entrance fees to museums.B. Decrease in the number of visitors.C. Ensuring visitor s’ benefits.D. Afghanistan’s president accused NATO of breaking its commitment to safeguard civilian lives. The attack angered Afghan officials and the public in Kandahar, the Taliban’s birthplace, and dealt a blow to U.S and NATO efforts to win popular support for a coming offensive to drive the insurgents(叛乱分子) from the biggest city in the south. NATO expressed regret for the loss of civilian lives and said it was investigating.Nearly 200 Afghans blocked highway where the shooting occurred, burning tires, firing weapons and chanting “Death to America” and other slogans. They also called for the ouster (forcing somebody out of a pasition) of Afghan President Hamid Karzai, a Kandahar native who has been appealing for the people here to support the U.S-led campaign against the Taliban.“The Americans are constantly killing our civilians and the government is not demanding an explanation,” protester Mohammad Razaq said. “We demand justice from the Karzai government and the punishment of those soldiers responsible.”Kandahar, a city of about a half million people, is nominally under government control, but the Taliban have stepped up infiltration(浸润), staging attacks and threatening local people.“These foreigners have their enemies, but killing Afghans is not the answer,” said Abdul Hadi, who sells homemade herbal medicine in a public market. He said international forces should publish a schedule of their patrols(巡逻) so Afghans can keep out of the way.“Better yet, I would like to see them leave Afghanistan,” he added.Haji Zahir, who runs a transport firm, said it was time for U.S. and other foreign forces to withdraw from the country.“They say they want to bring security. 模式3| 推理判断题(2014·江苏高考·B节选)However wealthy we may be,we can never find enough hours in the day to do everything we want.Economics deals with this problem through the concept of opportunity cost, which simply refers to whether someone's time or money could be better spent on something else.Every hour of our time has a value. For every hour we work at one job we could quite easily be doing another,or be sleeping or watching a film. Each of these options has a different opportunity cost—namely,w hat they cost us in missed opportunities.Say you intend to watch a football match but the tickets are expensive and it will take you a couple of hours to get to and from the stadium. Why not,you might reason, watch the game from home and use the leftover money and time to have dinner withfriends? This—the alternative use of your cash and time—is the opportunity cost. For economists, every decision is made by knowledge of what one must forgo—in terms of money and enjoyment—in order to take it up.By knowing precisely what you are receiving and what you are missing out on,you ought to be able to make better-informed,more reasonable decisions.Consider that most famous economic rule of all:there's no such thing as a free lunch.Even if someone offers to take you out to lunch for free, the time you will spend in the restaurant still costs you something in terms of forgone opportunities.60.What are forgone opportunities?A.Opportunities you forget in decisionmaking.B.Opportunities you give up for better ones.C.Opportunities you miss accidentally.D.Opportunities you make up for.60.B[推理判断题。

常见的考查方式有:二、设问方式词义猜测题着重考查考生根据上下文猜测词义的能力,这也是一个从“已知”得出“未知”的过程,即利用上下文的已知部分(尤其是该词或短语前后的句子)进行推理,有时还需要依靠常识和经验来猜测词义,常见的命题形式有:·The underlined word in the second paragraph means “________”.·Which of the following words is the closest in meaning to the underlined word in the last paragraph?·The underlined word “hunch” in Paragraph 2 can best be replaced by “________”.·What do es the phrase “knock off” in Paragraph 1 mean?·The underlined sentence in the last paragraph means “________”.·The word “it” in the last sentence refers to “________”. Nearby is the Indianapolis race course, where the nation’s most famous car race is held each year on May 30th.

二、设问方式一般来说,推理判断题题干中常出现know about,learn from,infer,imply,suggest,conclude,intend,mean,indicate等词语。

1.细节推断题常见的命题形式·It can be inferred from the passage that ________.·It can be concluded fro m the passage that ________.·The author strongly suggests that ________.·The writer implies but not directly states that ________.·The writer/author indicates/suggests/implies that ________.·Which of the following statements does the passage support?2.态度倾向推断常见的命题形式·The attitude of the author towards something is ________.·The writer of the passage seems to think that ________.·What’s the writer’s attitude towards...?·What is the author’s opinion on...?·What does the author think about...?3.写作意图推断题常见的命题形式·What is the main purpose of the author writing the text?·The purpose of the text is to get more people to ________.·The writer of the story wants to tell us that ________.·The writer talks about...in order to ________.·The author writes the last paragraph in order to ________.4.文章来源或读者对象推断题常见的命题形式·This passage would most likely be found in ________.·In which of the following publications would this passage most likely be printed?·The passage is probably taken out of ________.·Where does this text probably come from?·Where is the passage most likely to have been taken from?5.对文章内容预测常见的命题形式·What do you think will happen when/if...?·At the end of this passage, the writer might continue to write ________.·The paragraph following the pass age will probably be about ________.·Which of the following statements is most likely to be talked about in the following paragraph?

(2)选项中一般不可以出现绝对概念,如only,never,all,absolutely等。

正确答案的表述一般有一点模糊,会用一些相对能够留有一些余地的词汇,如often,usually,sometimes,some,may,might,can,could,possibly,probably等。

细节判断题[典例] (2017·江苏高考·阅读C)The first is that antitrust authorities need to move from the industrial age into the 21st century. When considering a merger(兼并),for example, they have traditionally used size to determine when to step in.They now need to take into account the extent of firms’ data assets(资产) when assessing the impact of deals. The purchase price could also be a signal that an established company is buying a new-born threat. When this takes place, especially when a new-born company has no revenue to speak of,the regulators should raise red flags.63.By paying attention to firms’ data assets, antitrust regulators could________.A.kill a new threatB.avoid the size trapC.favour bigger firmsD.charge higher prices答案 B [推理判断题。

根据本段“The first is that antitrust authorities need to move from the industrial age into the 21st century. When considering a merger(兼并),for example, they have traditionally used size to determine when to step in.They now need to take into account the extent of firms’ data assets(资产) when assessing the impact of deals.”

此类题目的题干一般包括六个动词:infer(推断),indicate(象征,暗示),imply(暗示),suggest(暗示),assume(假定,设想)和conclude(推断,做出结论)。

观点态度题[典例] (江苏高考·阅读D)Athens reached the point when the freedom she really wanted was freedom from responsibility. There couldbe only one result. If men insisted on being free from the burden of self-dependence and responsibility for the common good, they would cease to be free.Responsibility is the price every man must pay for freedom. It is to be had on no other terms.Athens, the Athens of Ancient Greece, refused responsibility;she reached the end of freedom and was never to have it again.70.What is the author’s understanding of freedom?A.Freedom can be more popular in the digital age.B.Freedom may come to an end in the digital age.C.Freedom should have priority over responsibility.D.Freedom needs to be guaranteed by responsibility.
