In 2017, my brother told me that he had sent in a resum é to SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corporation). He had no experience in the aerospace industry, but he thought it would be cool to work there. SpaceX is a private American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company founded by Elon Musk in 2002.
About a month after applying, my brother received an email, followed by a phone interview; and then a month after that, he was flown to California for in-person interviews. He spent the day learning about SpaceX’s history, asking questions, and interviewing with several of the company’s engineers.
A couple of days later, tech news sites began reporting that SpaceX had hired two people to work on Elon Musk’s secret project: a spacesuit designer and an engineer. Several months later, my brother texted me that he was offered a job at SpaceX.
In the time since, he has worked on the Crew Dragon project, which aims to send humans to Mars. His primary responsibility is to develop the software system that allows the spaceship’s crew to safely return to Earth.
He has also been involved in the production and testing aspects of the spaceship.
My brother recently shared his thoughts on what it is like to work on such a groundbreaking project. He said that he feels an incredible sense of excitement and pride when he works on something that has never been done before. He explained that the team he works with is full of intelligent, hardworking, and motivated individuals who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of human space exploration.
My brother’s experience at SpaceX has shown me that passion and determination are the keys to unlocking opportunities in life and finding satisfaction in one’s career. It is inspiring to see how he has combined his interests with his skills to create a meaningful impact in the world.

You may have heard the phrase “laughter is the best medicine.” Well, it might also help to prevent negative arguments from your marriage. That’s because laughter reduces negative emotions, like anger and sadness, as well as helping to keep neutral (中性的) emotions at neutral instead of going down to negative.
In the study, couples watched one 10-minute video clip that was either amusing or anxiety-producing (使人焦虑的). Predictably, those who watched the funny clip experienced more positive emotions such as amusement and joy,and fewer negative emotions such as anger and sadness, but they also experienced more neutral emotions.
While laughter can help increase positive feelings for both of you during an argument, trying to lighten things up might not always be the best move, share previous research. In another recent study, researchers from the University of Kansas found that people's level of humor for one another affected their relationship satisfaction(满意度), whereas couples who thought others laughed at them, or their partner, had lower relationship satisfaction.
So laughter works when a couple laughs “with” each other, not when they’re laughing “at” one another, share aut hors of the paper, published in the journal Personal Relationships in 2015.
In conclusion, the study authors say laughter could be “one possible solution for reducing the negative impact of relationship conflict(冲突)and increase the positive impact of rela tionship cooperation”.
So next time you find yourself in a heated(激烈的) argument, try a little humor, if you’re both into it.

D. Humor should be used carefully in a relationship.
