Nowadays, more and more parents like sharing their kids’ photos of daily life online. Here are some opinions from four teenagers.

Dora
For me, I don’t want my photos to be shared online. Some parents even like sharing embarrassing(令人尴尬的) photos of their kids. These parents should stop hurting their kids’ feelings and ask for permission(许可) from their kids before doing that.
Eric
In my opinion, there’s nothing wrong that some parents post pictures of their kids online. It shows that they love their children and it helps people to stay in touch with their family. It’s easier than looking through a photo album.
Joan

Have you seen the TV show Home With Kids? You might hear the sound of laughter when something funny happens on the show. It is really true and impressive(令人印象深刻的). But every time, the laughter sounds the same.
This is canned(录音的) laughter. US sound engineer Charley Douglass made it in the 1950s. He worked with his team for a few months. They bent different kinds of laughter, such as the laughter from the old, adults, kids, and even babies. When editors(剪辑师) needed laughter during their shows, they could just use a button and play the sound.
Canned laughter was popular for many years. When audiences(观众) heard it, they thought it was so interesting that they laughed along with the actors. “On Friday night, after a week’s hard work, I enjoy watching sitcoms, especially the sitcoms with canned laughter. It seems that I enjoy the show with a lot of friends and we laugh together.” a fan of canned laughter said so. But years later, some people thought canned laughter didn’t sound real. They wanted real laughter because it sounds more lively. Now we can see the improvement. Some famous sitcoms, such as Friends and The Big Bang Theory《生活大爆炸》, use this kind of laughter.
Who makes the real laughter? The Big Bang Theory sells tickets to people who want to watch the show alive. They can watch the show while filming. All the laughter you hear is from real audiences!
()6. The writer uses Home With Kids to _______.
A. describe funny things at home
B. show the popularity of the show
C. give an example of canned laughter
()7. From the second paragraph, what can we know about canned laughter?
A. It was made in 1950.
B. An American made it.
C. It was made quite easily. ()8. Why do some famous sitcoms choose to use real laughter?
A. Because it’s easier for the editors to use.
B. Because it can help them sell more tickets.
C. Because it sounds more lively than canned laughter.
()9. What does the writer think of the use of real laughter?
A. It sounds less lively.
B. It is better than canned laughter.
C. It is a waste of time and money.
()10. What would be the best title for this passage?
A. Laughter on TV.
B. The science of canned laughter.
C. Famous sitcoms around the world.

These days, the words “social phobia(社交恐惧症)” seems to be popular. Young people, different from other age groups, especially like to describe themselves as having “social phobia”. They would say it’s hard for them to make new friends or get along with others when they don’t want to go out. But is this a “real” disease(疾病)? In fact, this is just a reaction to certain social situations. S cientists explain that some people can’t “read” the right social situations, and they feel uncomfortable. For example, they might be afraid of breaking some kinds of rules. So they start to act differently to keep away from such situations.
“Real” social phobia, like social anxiety(焦虑), is much more serious. People with social phobia actually want to go out and talk with people, but they are afraid to do such things. As a result, they can go nowhere but stay at home. Their minds simply won’t allow them to talk with others in a normal(正常的) way. People with social phobia may experience panic attacks(惊恐发作) and other problems when talking with others.
Luckily, social anxiety can be treated(治疗). Some people simply use self-help books to help themselves get more control over their minds. Those who have more serious problems of social anxiety can take medicines or get therapy to deal with their disease.
