课题:Module7 Unit 1 They were very young.
【教材分析】
语言功能:谈论过去发生的事情,说明过去的特征与状态,比较现在和过去。

主要是使用was were 来描述过去发生的事情。

语言结构:They weren’t old then. No. They were very young. My hair wasn’t long. It was very short.
教学目标:
a.语言知识目标:学习听说读写单词young, old, who; 学习听说读单词grandparent, then;学
习目标语句They weren’t old then. No. They were very young. My hair
wasn’t long. It was very short.
b.语言技能目标:能听、说、读、写本课所涉及的介绍过去式的相关词汇, 能够使用was, were
来进行简单的造句。

c.情感态度目标:能积极参与调查活动并敢于开口交流,培养学生学习英语的兴趣及合作意
识和珍惜时间的良好品质.
教学重难点:
重点:能在实际情况中正确区分并运用was, were,而且能够进行简单的造句。

难点:正确运用一般过去时能根据语境写句子;尤其是过去式的否定形式:wasn’t和weren’t.【教学准备】
教师:ppt、教材卡片
学生:students’ book, 自己家人的全家福照片以及自己过去和现今阶段的照片
【教学过程】
一、Warm up
1.Greeting each other.
T: Good morning, everyone.
S: Good morning, teacher.
2.Sing a song <I was fat.>
T: At first, let’s sing a song.
S: OK。

3.T: These pigs are very cute. So can you describe these pictures?
T: Do you know the story of three monks? Ok, can you describe them?
S: He is fat and short. He is tall and thin.
T: How about this picture?
S: She is old. He is young. Her hair is short. Her hair is long.
4.T: Let’s look at the last picture. Who can read this question for us?
S: Who are they?
T: Read after me, “who”. (讲解单词who). Who are they in the picture?
S: They are Ling ling’s grandparents.
T: She is Ling ling’s grandma. He is Ling ling’s grandpa. When they are together they are grandparents. (讲解grandparents). Look at this picture, were they old then? No, they we ren’t old then. They were very young. Today, we’ll learn Module 7 Unit 1. They were very young.(通过书上图像的展示,引出重点知识,进行讲述和学习,可以拓展到who was he? who was she ?)
二、Presentation
1. T: At first, we will listen to the CDROM open your book, turn to page 26 and find the sentences
with “was were”.
Talk about sentences with “was were” with your partner in your group.
2. T: At first let us talk about Ling ling’s grandparents. Were they old then?
S: They weren’t old then. They were very young.
T: How about now?
S: They are old. (讲解单词old young, 同时点出were weren’t 的意思,并且让学生知道看见then的时候,用过去时。

)
T: How about Ling ling’s hair? Was it long?
S: My hair wasn’t long then. It was very short.
T: How about now?
S: Now it is long. It’s beautiful. (讲解单词beautiful) (点出was wasn’t 的意思)
T: How old was Ling ling?
S: I was two. I was naughty. You were very cute.
T: Can you guess how about Ling ling now?
S: Maybe she is nine years old. She is nice. She is beautiful. She is tall.
4. 总结本课文中出现所有的过去式,提炼语法,并总结成歌谣形式,便于记忆。

(在学习新知的部分,教材是重点,教师要抓住重要单词和重要句型,例如was were 以及原形在这一部分教学中,适当拓展人称的变化,单数复数,不可数…
三、Practice
1. Read the dialogue and discuss the questions with √ and × in their groups.
2. groups read the text and act the text(在这一部分教学中,教师利用好教材中的课文,发挥好小组合作的学习方式,促使学生自主练习所学知识。

要提前准备好课件的相关练习)
四、Production
1. T: Look at this photo, Guess who is she? This is Miss tan My hair was short then. Now my hair
is long. So can you talk about these pictures like this?
T: Look at these photos, he is Beckham.
S: His hair was long then. Now his hair is long.
2. T: Look at these photos, can you describe her? Talk about it in your group.
S: She was thin then.
T: She was thin then. That is to say?
S: She wasn’t fat then. She is fat now.
3. T: Look at these photos, can you describe this couple?
S: They were young then. (They weren’t old then. ) They are old now.
4. T: Ok, you are so clever. Let’s have a rest. Let’s enjoy some photos and guess who are they?
5. T: That’s all for the photos. Can you say some sentences according these photos?
6. T: Let’s take out our own photos, talk about yourself in your groups.
(利用教材中的课文,熟练运用所学的重要知识进行语言运用,例如利用好教材中的27页第三题,讲形容词和反义词拓展两组,相应图像要跟上。

在小组活动的时候,将自己带来的照片进行组内练习,然后大组反馈。

在交流的过程中,教师要注意引导和指导。
