【教材分析】
Unit 2通过学习“What's the weather like?”句型,让学生学会用英语描述天气情况。

一、教学目标:

理解Words: spring, summer, autumn, winter, warm, hot, cool, cold, weather, like London在文中的意思,能正确的翻译。

Expressions: 1. —What's the weather like in spring?
—It's warm.
2.—What's the weather like in Harbin in winter?
—It's cold.

能运用所学句型, 彼此互相问答。

发现中西天气的差异。

Step 1 Review
1. Let’s listen to an English song: Days of the w eek.
2. Ask and answer “What day is it today? It’s …”
“What day is it tomorrow? It’s …”
Step 2 Lead in
Show some pictures, ask the students to talk something about the pictures.
Spring, summer, autumn, winter
2. Ask and answer:
What’s the weather like today?
Warm, hot, cool, cold
Step 3 New words
1. 朗读单词Words: spring, summer, autumn, winter, warm, hot, cool, cold, weather, like London注意单词中每个音节的发音和字母组合。

培养学生自主学习词汇的习惯,促使学生迅速进入学习状态。

2. [检查词汇预习]:采取结对、小组互查等形式来检查学生对词汇的预习情况。

Step 4 Listen and repeat
1. Ask the students to read the words in Activity 1 silently.
2. Play the recording and ask the students to listen and read the words.

Step 5 Listen and repeat and match
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures and read the sentences in Activity 2 silently.
1. It’s cool in autumn.
2. It’s hot in summer.
3. It’s cold in winter
4. It’s warm in spring.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to match the pictures with the sentences. 3.Check the answers with the whole class.
Step 6 Listen and point
1. Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 3, then point.
2. Listen again and ask and answer like this:
1) —What’s the weather like in spring?
—It’s warm.
2) —What’s the weather like in winter?
—It’s cold.
3) —What’s the weather like in autumn?
—It’s cool.
4)—What’s the weather like in summer?
—It’s hot.
Step Consolidation-7 Listen and write
1.Play the recording in Activity 5 and let the students fill in the blanks. 2.Play the recording again and check the answers.
Step 8 Consolidation-Pair Work
Work in pairs and do the Activity 6.
Ask the students to choose different cities to ask and answer questions about the weather.

1. 跟录音朗读对话,模仿语音语调。
