1.What roles should governments, companies and individuals play to combat climate change?
As the human development is getting faster and better, the negative impacts on environment cannot be ignored. In recent years, climate change has been considered as one of the vital issues in the worldwide. One of the most related issue is global warming. The governments, companies and individuals should all contribute to combat climate change in different ways.
At governments’ position, the major approach to combat climate change is to make policies which can control the dramatically decreased climate conditions efficiently. For instance, many countries have already started to charge carbon tax in order to increase the cost of carbon and then rising the awareness among public about the greenhouse gas issue.
As for companies, especially companies that operating high emission projects, industrial standards on emission should be followed strictly. The companies with plants usually have high carbon emissions and do not satisfy the emission standards. Both governments’ policy and companies’ policy should be restraints which can largely reduce these situations.
Lastly, about individuals, although ones’ contribution is small, hundreds, thousands, even millions of individuals can make a big difference. Each individual could start to use bikes or other low-carbon vehicles in order to reduce the usage of gasoline.
Climate change is actually happening around the world, governments, companies and individuals should all start contributing in order to slow down the process. Industrialization has caused many negative impacts on our planet, it is time to fix these problem for continuous development.。
