五台山英文介绍简单版
Wutai Mountain is situated in the north of Shanxi Province and is one of the four sacred Buddhist Mountains in China. It is also known as Wutai Mountain and Qingliang Mountain, which literally translates to "Five Terrace Mountains".
The mountain's name was derived from its five flat peaks that resemble five terraces rising up from the ground. The highest peak, known as Prospect Peak, stands at 3058 meters. Located in the heart of Wutai Mountain, it is surrounded by over 50 temples that were built throughout the course of history.
Wutai Mountain has been a holy place for Buddhism for thousands of years. During the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Emperor Taizong ordered the construction of more than 40 temples on the mountain, making it an important center of Buddhism. Over time, more temples were built and today, Wutai Mountain is home to many famous
temples, including Foguang Temple, Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple and Longxing Monastery.
In addition, Wutai Mountain is well known for its beautiful scenery. The mountain is covered with pine trees, bamboos, cherry blossoms and other plants. On clear days, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area. There are also many caves, waterfalls, hot springs, and other natural attractions.
Wutai Mountain is a popular destination for tourists, especially during the summer months. Visitors can explore the ancient temples, take in the picturesque scenery, and enjoy hiking and outdoor activities.
Overall, Wutai Mountain is a great place to visit for its historical and cultural significance, as well as its stunning natural beauty.。
